I totally forgot that with a new album Morrie will make appearances in so many magazines... In June he appeared in Burrn! JAPAN, now in August three more magazines will feature him: ROCK AND READ, WeRock and With Rock. Out of those I only didn’t order WeRock yet.
And also he is releasing cool merch soon, collab with Atsuo of Boris (fangsanalsatan) and Birtish aritst Kieran Wakeman.
Not to mention his appearance on Fukushima FM in August! Yesterday Fukushima FM broadcasted the new version of Serafine on air, but I missed that...

— Vladimir Volkoff (Le retournement, 1979) photo : Mental Prison (Kieran Wakeman, 2020)

It’s an indisputable fact that almost every family in India has its own blend of curry spices, often passed down from generation to generation, according to the tastes and preferences of that family, and the spices available by region – or even village. I was taught this a very long time ago by a delightful Irish lady who was married to an Indian pharmacist of local renown, and whose son was in my form at the King's School, Worcester. Kieran Asthana became a friend when he joined the school at the age of sixteen. He was the scientist, I was the classicist. As an aside, with regard to a late evening post of mine yesterday, he was with me at that Rick Wakeman concert in Malvern – where he lived. Mrs Asthana (who, incidentally spoke Irish, Hindi and Bengali, in addition to English,) was a genius in the kitchen, and it was in that house that I tasted genuine curry for the first time. You see, Mr Asthana has passed on to her his family’s curry spice traditions, and my nose knew this the moment I walked into their house. Stepping briefly aside, again, in this narrative: I have, treasured, my school copy of Kenneth Grahame’s “Wind in the Willows,” dated 1962 and in a cloth (yes!) binding. And opening the book a couple of years ago, I came across a tightly folded scrap of paper on which Mrs Asthana had written down the family’s spice blend. I use it to this day. And although I am no longer in touch with that lovely family, I share it now – hopefully with their blessing. The measurements, of course, were in spoons, the way of those years. The measurements are good enough for a large pot of curry, to feed 5-6 people. Ground coriander – 2 tablespoons Ground cumin – 2 tablespoons Ground turmeric – 1 ½ tablespoons Ground ginger – 2 teaspoons Dry mustard – 1 teaspoon (she used Colemans.) Ground black pepper – ½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon Ground cardamon – ½ teaspoon Cayenne pepper – 1 teaspoon (or more if you like heat.) Put in a jar and shake until they are mixed. Bon appetite! (at Hampton Bays, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/CJ133MsA05NQ4AGM3rKUtID4QgKFHzreCTsouw0/?igshid=1u4m1imgi2jpb
