I finally did got a chance to watch the Recent Halloween Kamp Koral Reunion Episode last night because I missed it when I was supposed to watch it during this Year's Halloween (even if Halloween is already over).

While I was impressed by all of the Designs of the Campers of the Trawler Cabin All Grown Up if they were in the Main Show, there was one that completely shocked Me was the fact that how that Nosferatu and his Younger Self from one of the Prequel Spinoffs (whom I assumed was his Son, Kidferatu) were actually the same person which truly surprised Me was that Nosferatu was actually around the same age closer to Sponge, Pat, Sand, and Squid and not an Immortal Ageless being like King Neptune or The Flying Dutchman.

Well, ok, maybe it's probably the Other Way around and that maybe that Nosferatu from that Episode COULD probably be Kidferatu (or "Nosferatu/Orlok II" as he would've been called) all grown up depending on some Fans' interpretations.

I strongly do believe that SB! Nosferatu/Orlok does have a Son as confirmed by one of the Writers on Twitter. However, on the other half, you would at least all know that I frankly despised the whole "Kids being Carbon Copies/Clones of their own Parents" which took some inspiration to do an Redesign of an Older! Kidferatu.

I wanted to make Him look the 70s Remake of the Adaptational German Dracula version where his Father originated from (surprisingly enough of the Second Upcoming Nosferatu remake coming next month) so that he doesn't look like a Clone of his Dad and even took some aspects of the Show's Artstyle for how he would look if he was a 2D Cartoon Character rather than a 3D One.

Tbh, I think the idea of Nosferatu having a Legacy of Underwater Vampires (with some Descendants being named after him like how his Son is) could be an Interesting Idea if it would perhaps lead Orlok Jr to represent a New League of Sub-Species of Vampires (which probably already exist in Legends).

Jimmy Blobfish said Kidferatu is now a Count but that can only happen if his father fully passes on and thereby passes on his title. Does this mean the OG Nosferatu is gone for good???😭😭 What will happen to Slappy then??

Good question! I think the other parodies would be split 20-80 between fearing Vladimer and doting on him as a beloved nephew/little cousin respectively

(I always wanted to draw boo getting sucked up with a vacuum and Vladimir seemed like a good contender for someone who'd do that to him lol)

What would Slappy do if he had his own Kid?

OR is Kidferatu already his Son-Figure? (not that I ship Slippy/Slappy/Nosferatu as Poly)

Tbh I do see Slappy as like an additional parental figure to Kidferatu. I mean he's basically already acknowledged as a family member anyways:

Plus Nosferatu is a count, and the nobility always leave their kids to be raised by nannies anyways so its likely Slappy had to play a parental figure to Kidferatu. Also the fact that Kidferatu doesn't seem to have a mom so someone's got to fill that role. (Btw who is his mom anyways? I can't help but imagine Nosferatu committed mitosis)

I think Slaps would be good with kids actually. I mean he already takes care of Nosferatu and is super protective. He took Nosferatu to the doctors over a simple case of the sniff sniffs. I imagine he'd be a very overprotective parent who perhaps coddles you a little too much lol. Some Addams family style of parenting peppered in too, ya kno?

I already have a million headcanons about Slappy being an overprotective parent figure who babies Kidferatu too much, much to Kid's dismay. He's embarrassing in the most motherly way possible but very good. Also very supportive and would likely let Kid get what he wants secretly (like some emo boy band cd or whatever) even after Nosferatu has said no. I do wish Slappy would show up in Kamp Koral, pray he makes an appearance in season 2 so my headcanons can come true😭😭😭😭🙏

I think Slappy actually does have the brain cells to be good with kids. I mean he can be a little head empty at times but he has the ability to be caring. He cares for a lot of folks (nosferatu, his pets, etc) there's also the fact that there's a trope amongst Lorre caricatures where they're basically a spooky yet caring family man (Gomez Addams is a famous example but there's also Mr. J Evil Scientist, and a few more)

He isn't the first person you'd go to babysit your kids but you'd be surprised to find it all goes smoothly. I think the kids would find his undead abilities more cool than weird. I mean the kids in Slappy Daze were more entertained by his undead shenanigans than frightened. Slappy can frighten kids but I think he knows when to keep it at a kid friendly level. The most frightening thing you'd get from him is broccoli lmao

I think the only issue is, perhaps don't let him cook. His culinary skills are better suited for the undead rather than the living.

Idk how it would work if Slappy had his own kid though. He's often busy taking care of Nosferatu. He used to be more independent in the Patrick Star Show (which takes place 10 years before the main show) but in the current Spongebob Squarepants, he could hardly go 2 hours without Nosferatu. I imagine working for a vampire slowly consumes your life so I doubt he would have the space or time to raise a kid of his own unfortunately. Slippy is most likely patient of such things but I imagine it complicates any sort of life plans they may have together. I guess it all depends on how much Nosferatu would allow. Slappy hardly has space for himself. He sleeps in a nightstand drawer😭😭 he doesn't have anywhere to raise a kid.

Speaking of which, are Slippy and Slappy married or just dating? There's a 10 year time gap in universe between The Patrick Show and the main show so they've been together for a long time in Spongebob Squarepants. In the episode FitzPatrick, Slappy did call the union of marriage as "smoosh two souls together into one gooey soft pulp" and Slappy and Slippy basically did that in the episode Tango Tangle. Omg did they do it out of wedlock??🤔🤔 jk jk

Anyways getting back on track, what I can imagine is that he probably loves animals and has a menagerie of exotic pets with Slippy. Obviously he has Esmeralda the sea spider and that sentient rain cloud, the vampire bat jellyfishes, and technically Nosferatu in bat form too. I also like to imagine he took home Mr. Stinky the skunk in the episode I Smell a Pat.

Slippy also works at a pet shop, I can imagine she LOVES animals and that's a thing her and Slappy bond over. I can imagine them just being an eccentric old couple with many many exotic pets <3 that's the most they could get.

So speaking of Kidferatu, I made joke headcanons about him being an emo kid but tbh I think it works well, especially with the 2nd half of kamp koral.

Mostly because kidferatu is a literal carbon copy of his dad which is kinda boring. Making him an emo kid differentiates him from his dad and carries the long standing tradition of emo kids obsessed with vampires lmao

I imagine that before Nosferatu sent his own Son to Summer Camp, being a Single Parent that you raised only one single child might've been incredibly exhausted for him. Which is why Slappy is always there for his Master, especially when you have a Butler as your Child's Nanny.

You know, something that I always had a thought in mind;

You know how Slappy is supposedly Kidferatu's Nanny? What if somewhere down the line that Slappy comes to visit his Master's Son during Camp days where he usually just cooks or at least makes sure that Kidferatu is at least always okay (even if it may embarrass his friends) at the Trawler Cabin?

I suppose that maybe Slappy is always there for both of his Two Masters because even though Nosferatu did sent his own child there, maybe he somewhat sent Slappy as a spy there?

Tbh this is more or less what I had in mind for a kamp koral episode with Slappy. I would like something like that to happen. Slappy seems very caring and doting, I'm sure he would happily check up on how Kidferatu is doing and dote on him (embarrassing him in front of his friends in the process)

Kidferatu seems pretty adverse to the food they serve at kamp koral so I can see Slappy bringing some of his Transylvanian cooking to give to Kid.

But here is another idea, I recently finished watching the 2nd half of kamp koral. Kidferatu gets offed often. You think maybe once or twice accidentally getting hit with sunlight but actually no. He does it on purpose! He even has a tanning bed for recreational suicide. Of course he can be ressurrected but the fact that he does it sooo often is kinda hilarious. Don't want to participate in camp activities? Just self delete! Lmaoooo

But this does remind me of a tweet from someone on the SB crew when Squidferatu came out

At the time I didn't get what he meant by "who knows how many times Slappy has had to resurrect him (kidferatu)". Now I do know the context cuz Kidferatu commits self delete by sunlight often.

I imagine Slappy getting called often to Kamp Koral to ressurect Kidferatu. He knows the ritual how to do it (I like to imagine it's like the movie Dracula Prince of Darkness where he has to use a blood sacrifice to ressurect a vampire from the ashes)

Kidferatu does it so frequently that Slappy has to come around to the kamp often. Slappy doesn't mind but the self delete by sunlight probably gives him a mini heart attack every time because he's responsible for Kid and though he's a nanny, he behaves more like a surrogate mother who often is a little too protective of his children lmao. That and also the fact that its hard to come by a good blood sacrifice victim. If we're going by the episode The Perfect Camper, Slappy would have had to ressurect kidferatu several times during the span of 2 days. He probably doesn't mind but it is likely tiring. I imagine the other Trawler kids are well acquainted with him at this point. They often greet him like "hi Kidferatu's mom nanny!"

Slappy probably gives Kidferatu a little lecture about this. He isn't harsh by any means. Its more like a gentle reminder to be more careful which kidferatu really doesn't abide by. I can see kid purposely walking into the sunlight again just to scare Slappy, he thinks it's funny. Slappy is too good natured to ever get mad at him too.

I REAAALLY want Slappy to show up in Kamp Koral. Mainly because I want to see CGI slappy. I think it would look so cute and squish. But I also would like to see him being different from how he's usually portrayed, he's often really weird or silly but it would be fun to see him being a caring parental figure to the emo vampire child. I imagine Nosferatu being more strict with Kid while Slappy is more gentle and gives him more leeway. Idk why the idea of slappy being more maternal seems soooo cute. I just like seeing creepy characters being one happy family ok?

Also the spooky family man is a trope amongst Peter Lorre parodies (a famous example is literally Gomez Addams) so it fits really well with Slappy.

It’s amazing how much Nosferatu became an integral part of SpongeBob lore. Especially since he was just a gag character for the ending of the night shift episode. He even appeared as a character in the CGI Camp series as a younger version of himself. Why the recent interest?

I've grown to LOVE Nosferatu! Outside of the fact that he's a blorbo by association to Slappy. Slappy supremacy 🙏

I just think he's neat.

I remember some thing on twitter where SB fans were complaining about the show reusing old characters like Nosferatu and Granny Prunes but honestly SB fans on twitter are kinda annoying to begin with and will complain about anything. I couldn't care less, gimme more German expressionist characters <3 <3

Jokes aside. Idk I've grown really fond of Nosey. He's just a silly guy. Outside of flickering the light switch on and off, he has a funny life. His ship never made it to Wismar and he ended up stuck underwater. Now he has a dorky fish butler and a son and he lives a relatively mundane life. He's the nightshift manager at the Krusty krab, hes a single dad, he writes screenplays sometimes, he promoted products. He auditions. He even did an interview once.

Its weird but funny. The first vampire in cinema and the first (unofficial) adaptation of dracula is just some guy chilling with fishes and living his life. He seems pretty content with things and I like that. He's what I aspire to be <3 ((NOT BALD))

As for the show, spongebob the show is trying to build continuity. Idk why but it's been since the beginning of the post secondary movie era and the tidal zone shenanigans. Its more likely to reference locations and old characters every so often. Some people complain that its trying to milk nostalgia but honestly I think they're just trying to make the world more connected and cohesive. people complain when the show does literally anything, they complain about old characters being used but they also hate the new characters so it really doesn't matter.

I personally love the direction the show is currently in. Its fun, I like how they expand on some characters and they all have their own little thing going on. I also like Nosferatu specifically because of how absurd it is to have a German expressionist movie character existing in a childrens show. People say it ruins his original gag because it was supposed to be random but Nosferatu being a regular character on it's own is random. This dude was spreading his plague to Wisborg, now he pulls pranks underwater by flickering the lights. He has a morally decent fish Dr. Caligari as his primary care physician. It's funny.

Also you mentioned there's a kid version of Nosferatu in Kamp Koral. That's not a child nosferatu. That is The child OF Nosferatu. I wonder who conceived Kidferatu? Idk but its funny that Nosey is a single dad working to support his kid. In Squidferatu you can see a framed picture of his son in the background :D (I really want to see Slappy being a good nanny to Kidferatu. Please please PLEASE)

I love the episode Graveyard Shift and I love his reappearance in The Night Patty. I always liked this weird guy but I only became invested once he got associated with Slappy. I think once the synopsis of Slappy Daze dropped and it revealed Slappy being nosferatu's butler was when I became obsessed and watched every nosferatu/dracula adaptation (don't ask, I comb through things fast. Also I liked vampire media years before this but this took an existing interested and pushed it to obsession lol)

Also watching the 1979 adaption of Nosferatu in particular gave me brain worms. I was like "....he kinda bad tho" I'm trying hard not to say I've begun to simp for him but I am 👉👈 I'm mildly disgusted with myself but its also like. I kinda like him more than what I should. I sorta want to slap myself for such a weird thing because REALLY look at him. But I can't help but like it. Ughhhhh. I wanna grab his big nose. I like to imagine it'll honk like a clown's nose.

It doesn't help that he's so silly in Spongebob like that's not helping at all😭

Obviously I prefer Slappy because he's my murder bby but I also think Nosferatu could get it as well.

So yeah. In other news, I preordered the super7 nosferatu figurine. I cant wait to get it. But idk the NECA nosferatu figurine looks better. It was also cheaper. Idk its too late now to change anything. I am still quite happy. I want to make that Nosferatu a proud supportive dad to my Draculaura doll :)
