More art for the art bank.

Learning how to render, definitely happy with the result even if my back isn't. (Ouch). I could definitely improve though. This is more of an official attempt at learning.

Images in order from left to right are; sketch, line art and colours, monochromatic (sort of), and the render.

For the more rambling side of this anyway, we were originally just going to do a sketch from a blank base (like a draw your character here thingy), but it somehow morphed into line art and base colours, then messing around with gradients, then just getting bored and spending four hours rendering. Practice, am I right?

None of the quotes have posted yet (my queue is too long lmao, it will outlive me) but the hyperfixation do be evident. Don't worry, we'll be back to your regular Fatui Harbinger posting later. /j. No idea how we got side tracked, we did the sq so long ago that I can't remember it (and genuinely didn't know I'd done it), and it's not like he has many appearances in the lantern rite so far. (I also didn't know he was on a banner until it was pointed out). Freak accident. That, or one piece of fanart was like "hellooo".

If it wasn't obvious this is Baizhu and human form Changsheng. Not that visible but she has markings inspired by albino ball pythons (technically she's a leucistic ball python, see the second image).

For Baizhu's references I'm using the full turnaround from the wiki (helpful, albeit a little blurry. May be my fault though), and the card (less blurry, also probably my fault).

For notes on Changsheng, she has a heart-shaped window in her shirt that shows off a tattoo that sits in the open space between her markings. She's overall very heart themed (not sure why). Sadly her hair isn't shown here but she has a small hair tie/clip that's a snake.

Also, small detail, I'm aware Baizhu's hairpin is on the wrong side and only one is visible. (There's two in the sketch, one got lost). Also there's no glass in his glasses but even in official stuff it's not that noticeable so I'm maybe clear there.

I never planned on maintagging (social anxiety) but I'm far too proud (and too tired) to care.

I do want to point out that this is from an AU, everything I post has a 60% chance to be about that AU (not including non-fandom stuff usually, that only has a 40% chance). I'll talk about it soon, I promise. (Said that three hyperfixations ago too)

Man what a lot of words. Didn't mean to do that but I do happen to like talking about all the design and thought behind stuffs. This isn't even half of it O-o.

The pros of this is that, you know, people! They're my three sons and my daughter in law

(kinda. unofficial kids. without me they'd not survive xD. at least one calls me dad.)

The immense confusion that comes from finding out that Dottore (cofront for like five whole days) has been listed as a Fūjīn Spirit with the Spirit Walking trait is utterly BAFFLING. To put it simply.

He's nowhere near a Fūjīn Spirit, why? Because he's literally been shown to be clueless to the two ghosts that tail him! He's also not able to access the Spirit World (which you get if, you know, you can SPIRIT WALK)

If I called him anything, I'd argue Corrupted (Technica class, where as Fūjīn is a Humanity class). He shows similar (species) traits to Pierro (hi dad /j/ref) and other abilities suggest as such.

I literally cannot figure out for the life of me why someone (me, I did the original profile) would list him as Fūjīn Spirit. Why?? Why???? What makes you think he's anywhere in that class. (|← going insane over here)

Like we know he's a corrupted (I literally just did his full bio, why, no how, didn't I notice this) but the confusion is just.. why did I list him as Fūjīn Spirit? It just doesn't make any logical sense, even when looking back at what we knew then. I also have a memory of listing him (or maybe another Fatuus? No idea anymore, can't trust that one apparently) as a Corrupted.
