Me talking about my favourite toxic gay men: Yeah he's an asshole he should get his ass beat. Really I dont know why he acts this way.
Me talking about my favourite toxic lesbians: Honestly she did nothing wrong. In fact she should have done worse. People these days cant handle complex female characters.
AND WITH THE END OF EPISODE 6... WE GOT GOOD NEWS GUYS! (In case you didn't know) SECOND SEASON OF BLANK THE SERIES THIS MAY! HELL YEAH!!!!
Anyone wants to discuss the masterpiece that was episode 6?! Have you guys watched? I don't want to give spoilers, but I will talk about it in a few hours, when I get to rewatch (and hopefully there are subs in part 3 lol)
Blank the series community, are we alive?
Also, people hated the show and didn't give it a chance... I hope they regret it later on because, along with GAP, they're the best of the best out there!
The scene where it really clicked for me was when they are drawing in the park and Neung appraises Anueng's sketch.
First of all, she's here to spend time with you. That fact is painfully obvious.
Second of all, hobbies exist.
This was an interesting line because it almost reads like Nueng doesn鈥檛 have fun outside of her passion for art. I feel like drawing was Khun Nueng鈥檚 hobby but she turned it into a career. And often, monetizing a hobby removes some of the joy that comes with it. It turns the activity from fun to functional.
So even with her freedom from the palace life Khun Nueng is still not fully free. She isolates herself and buries herself in her work. Because of this, she is emotionally trapped and I think part of Anueng鈥檚 impact is breaking Nueng from this self imposed prison.
The moment that best encapsulates this is when they are at the beach together and Anueng pulls Nueng out to the shore. They are playing in the water and Nueng truly smiles for the first time in this beautiful moment of unabashed joy. There is no function to this activity other than having fun.
Anueng gives Nueng true freedom and happiness. She shows Nueng how to truly live.
