Pereira went ballistic in that last round. Completely broke him down. loved the body work right before he got the finish. Props to Khalil though. He started off strong, was able to tag Pereira a few decent times, took advantage of his defensive flaws and Pereira had to respect his speed.

I think that was as fun a fight as we could have hoped for.

Khalil Rountree's goals in life was to be in a ufc billboard and go share his story to inspire others in a similar position to him. Anyone who was in a dark place in life can reach the highest of the highs if they believe in themselves, "your life matters".

Despite starting off strong and giving Alex Pereira the hardest fight at 205 yet, he still lost. He dropped Alex and made him look human. However be got finished in the fourth round. Towards the end his face was cut open in three places, his stamina was drained, he was getting whailed on by Alex, against all this he still kept swinging. Showing that no matter where you are or how bad it is, to alwasy keep fighting.

After the loss, he was interviewed by Joe Rogan for his post fight speech. Even though he lost the crowd cheered him on. Khalil had accomplished his goal of being on the billboard of ufc previously, but now through the crowd's love and appreciation despite his lost he now knew he finally achieved his dream. He inspired others with his story.
