I have no other thoughts about that roleswap since that post was mainly inspired by seeing other takes on Eiffel and Hera specifically but I figure since both of them would've been around Goddard for their entire lives when SI5 shows up and Hilbert's like "oh no... it's Warren Kepler..." Eiffel and Hera both start groaning loudly and Minkowski's like what?? is this bad??? and they're like he is just so fucking annoying

i don't think ive seen this discussed but everytime i think about it it makes my brain explode anyway in securite kepler calls jacobi his good right hand and then in into the depths, where jacobi's trust in kepler starts to fracture post contact event is also when kepler loses his hand. the script even points out it's the right one. love tangible manifestations of character relationships

I made this one before the Stone Pratt piece - Malik's chapter of SAD SACK contains easily my favorite scene to revisit. The conversation between Malik and Jules was the scene I realized the story was absolutely going to deliver on every promise it was quietly making through its framing and dialogue. I have a somewhat personal (though indirect) connection to the scene that inspired this piece, too, so I do admit I'm quite biased~

I can't believe how manipulative Jacobi's recruitment was. Kepler planned it on the anniversary of his firing so that he'd always remember that day as "the day Kepler recruited him". It's not even an outright recruitment like everyone else's-- Kepler just flirts with him and leaves his card at the bar. "He knew everything about Jacobi". He knew how to make him chase him. Jacobi never stood a chance.

I don’t think we know for sure how Jacobi lost $13,000 in an internet scam, but I’m pretty sure Kepler was the one who scammed him.

I think he did it as test during the recruitment process. I also think he used the money to buy those expensive drinks at that bar when he first met Jacobi. He would totally do this.

Yes, I pieced together a better outfit (it’s what I do) for Pandrosion than what PB gives us. The entirety of Pandrosion’s outfit is inspired by three different pieces from Balenciaga Spring 2007 line.
