Our first look at the other Yozakura siblings, in a very visually interesting shot that I really like. It doesn't really make sense from a positioning standpoint (how can they all be standing at the same level in a perfect circle?), but it showcases their faces and doesn't distract the eyes, plus it's just fun to look at.

Also the very next panel shows that they're all huddled around the couch just to stare at him, which - knowing the siblings - implies they've been clustered awkwardly around the couch for who knows how long and casually chatting amongst themselves while waiting for Taiyo to wake up. Look at Nanao hunched over like the giant he is <3 Also I think Futaba is standing on the table in order to loom over Taiyo with the rest of them ajshadjashdkajdaskdhajdh. The things a short queen must do to join her siblings in a group establishing shot.

Ughh every time I watch a new Yozakura episode I just want to rant about how good it is!!

I love that they decided to mash two chapters together for it, as ever since I started watching the anime I wondered how they’d pad out the run time to fit the length of an average anime episode, and I think that this was a good way to do that!

When I saw that the title was Kengo/Shinzo I thought that it’d include Kengo’s first focus chapter with his and Taiyo’s mission together, but I like the decision of making it the hide-and-seek one instead! It makes sense having a more slice-of-life-y chapter be paired up with a mission chapter, instead of two missions in one day or something. The only thing I didn’t really like/care for was when it implied that Kengo was like, disguising himself as the family members? Maybe they just wanted to add an extra 30 seconds or something? Idk. Not that I dislike it, just didn’t care/understand why they put it in more like? Idk

Though!! I love love love how it really felt like Taiyo’s apart of the family! And the scene of Rei with baby Kengo and Mutsumi! They’re family!! Kengo cares so so much under his playful exterior!! And again, Taiyo just feels like another brother in the family!! I know that the scene with Shinzo carrying him is in the manga too, but for some reason it hit harder in the anime? Maybe it’s cause I haven’t read the early manga in a while, but like, they’re so brothers!! Shinzo is such a good older brother!! Kengo too!! Idk, I love these goobers a lot

Lmao Kengo couldn't resist the opportunity to torment Taiyo some more XD Truly older brother behavior.

Honestly, I can't help feeling sorry for the members of Onigiri Gumi. As far as they know, their beloved Yukari disappeared suddenly six months beforehand, but just as suddenly returns as if nothing happened. And shortly after this, they're going to either be jailed or on the run, with Onigiri Gumi formally disbanded. This almost feels like a last hurrah before it's all over—one last party with "Yukari" and "Ume" before everything falls apart for good.
