“Jenny Flynn” is the is Amber’s fake/thief name in this AU.

Unfortunately for “Jenny” they always seem to mess up her wanted posters- using bad photos, or worse, mixing her up with someone else.

Ft. @gritsandbrits​‘s OC Kendrix on the poster- There’s a joke here with her being on mixed up with Amber but I’m too tired to elaborate atm.

Though in hindsight the joke would probably land better if Kendrix was holding the poster and Amber was mistaken for her but imma tired and that doesn’t fit the au 🤔 🤔 🤔-

“What’d I say?” Amber asked with an expectant wave of the hand, leaning on her hover-board as Kendrix remained against the wall. 

“That I’d have fun.” She drawled. 

“And?” 

Kendrix gave her a glare before her eyes flicked back to the Ben 10,000 Statue, now completely covered in swirls of clashing reds and oranges. An enormous sign hung from it’s neck that people were still gawking at down below. A smirk tugged at her lips. 

“Alright that was fun.” She admitted, crossing her arms as she admired their handy work. 

“That’s what I like to hear.”

“Still say we should have left it uncensored.”

Graffiting the Ben 10k statue is practically a right of passage to any mischief maker in Bellwood. Coating the entire thing in irremovable hull paint in a single night? Leave that to the professionals. 

Mentioned this idea offhandedly in another post and had to draw it.

I decided to try and draw my OC as @gritsandbrits OC, Kendrix Phoenix or Kendrix Tennyson. This was fun to draw and I hope I did a good job.

Okay listen up y'all since I spent hours on Kisscartoon and the official wiki, let me explain the naming convention of Ben 10. A lot of characters have puns or meaningful names. Kevin's power is Ben's but up to eleven, and he was eleven years old in the original show. Also his one absorption ability + Ben's ten aliens = eleven powers in total.

This is also how I named my FCs.

• Pattibelle = Pattie La Belle

• Ginger T. Glass: ginger tea and "glass of tea", which references her Southern & Gullah roots as well as her cold yet spicy personality.

• Kendrix is just female Kenny, but her name means "bold power" in Old English.

• Jora Holiday: Jora means "autumn rain" which refers to her powers and motif; Holiday refers to her festive and light-hearted nature; and Jora itself sounds similar to Dora, like the Explorer.

• Gloria Tennyson: means "glory" which highlights her boldness in battle.

• Miranda Tennyson: Miranda Rights (Miranda is a Plumber from the future); also name after a moon.

• Belle Tennyson: Reference to Belle from Beauty in the Beast and her connection to magic.

Also in canon you have:

Rook Blonko: He's a rookie Plumber and new to Earth; also has white face markings (Blanco/Spanish for white).

• Zak Saturday: Came from Secret Saturdays, named after days of the week.

• Alan Albright: refers to his fire powers

• Michael Morningstar: his angelic facade like many depictions of the archangel Michael, and his last name refers to his energy powers.

• Kenny Tennyson: Ben's future kid who also received an Omnitrix with ten aliens.

• Zombozo: Bozo the clown and modeled after a zombie

There's plenty examples of punny names in the franchise. Some more obvious than others!

I'm sorry, was that guy from Ben 10 really named Kevin Levin?

In honor of @gritsandbrits ‘s Kendrix week I have decided to turn this gremlin into a cookie

I mentioned a while ago on my main account that the reason kendrix exists is because kenny/chrono spanner needed to face SOME type of consequence for his actions but now i feel like that wouldn't work since hebhad nothing to do with the terrible state of her world. So to work around that I decided to change it wher she plays more of a consequence of what happens when certain forces try to play favorites. Kendrix could be the one to point out that the so called "Evil Bens" aren't pure evil at all but Bens who never got the help they needed.

You cannot convince me the reason why (not excusing him) Mad Ben did the things he did is because he lives in an apocalyptic wasteland with probably worse things out there than him. Or that Benzarro is a zombie with multiple disabilities and no known treatment or cure. Or that Nega Ben probably lost his grandpa max the way Ben 23 did but practiced an extremely unhealthy coping mechanism. Bad Ben I don't know other than he's just stereotypically Evil and not even a unique design to set him apart from the alt Bens

But because they aren't Model Bens or perfect victims they're ignored, even treated as irredeemably evil even if some of them hadn't done much of anything of that nature. So of course they're going to gravitate towards the guy who promised them validation (Eon). I say this because they're the ones he didn't brainwash. They're teenage boys with shitty lives and no healthy coping mechanisms and the universe automatically decided they were evil from the start.

So Kendrix really sheds light into that. "Why would they do anything for a universe that never gave them any chance to be a hero? Why should I continue to bust my ass trying to fix my world and get treated like scum while Miss Colonizer gets to get away with her conquests?"

Adjusting a dial on his helmet, Eon rolled his eyes as she seethed.

“Kendrix, I did what I had to do-”

CRACK!

Stumbling back from the force of the blow, he crashed into the ground. With an angry spat of blood, he worked his jaw in his hand as Kendrix snarled above him.

“No, you only did what was best for YOU!” She shouted, raising her boot to smash his nose in.

Raising his hand, she was immersed in a purple blast.

Standing up with a huff, he brushed himself off. Eyebrow raised at the grayed out form, mid step, he scoffed.

“Honestly.” Scooping his helmet up with his boot, he tossed it to his hand. It landed in his palm with a satisfying smack.

Replacing it onto his skull, his cheek stung with an incoming bruise.

Ugh Eon why are you so detailed now T.T.
