disappointed that Ms Gerwig’s film didn’t ascribe to the sacred texts (Barbie Life in The Dreamhouse)
#real Ken would NEVER support the patriarchy#Ken doesn’t dream of the patriarchy period#barbie 2023#was Ken’s journey in this something? sure. and who doesn’t love a beach off. but please see my previous post in the Barbie 2023 tag for my#feelings about how much he was featured in this film#barbie 2023 spoilers#maybe this is a separate post but#the way that he brainwashed Barbie’s friends and they point this out and Barbie still ends up apologizing to him#where’s that post about comics logic not applying to the real world but applying to comic book worlds perfectly. I needed that for this film#and I was let down in that regard#also they should have shown sad people in the Barbie becomes human montage. but other than that I really respect so many of Ms gerwig’s dir#directorial and cinematographic choices
