Atlanta, GA (November 2, 2019) – Around 7 a.m. this morning, a travel advisory was posted by Fulton County authorities concerning a car crash on GA-403.

Atlanta Police claim that the accident took place in the northbound lanes of the highway around the area of the Camp Creek Parkway. Two right lanes of the highway were blocked for several hours.

Though police are not completely sure of the circumstances leading up to the collision, it is alleged that the crash involved an SUV and a work van. The SUV was badly damaged and completely turned around in traffic in the furthest right lane of traffic.

Paramedics assisted those with injuries, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.

There were extensive delays in the area for some time. The investigation is ongoing.

Lawrenceville, GA – Hit-and-Run Accident on University Parkway

Lawrenceville, GA (September 18, 2019) – Around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to a hit-and-run accident on the University Parkway in Lawrenceville.

Authorities have since identified the party who caused the accident as a 22-year-old man from Winder, who surrendered to police on Monday. He allegedly ran another party off the road, causing serious results. He is now facing felony charges.

The victim was driving early Sunday morning when a vehicle allegedly approached him from behind. The suspect, who was driving a Ford Escape, struck the victim’s Jeep and caused his vehicle to run off the side of the road, where it struck a tree.

The vehicle flipped over multiple times off the side of the road. When the victim woke up after being knocked unconscious, he received several broken bones. Now, the victim has been taken to the ICU at the Athens Regional Medical Center and will need several surgeries.

The suspect was charged with felony hit-and-run, felony serious injury by vehicle, and other related charges.

The investigation into the accident continues at this time.

Augusta, GA – One Killed in Fatal Accident on Gordon Highway

Augusta, GA (July 14, 2019) – Police claim that one person was killed in a fatal accident that took place at 1500 Gordon Highway in Augusta.

The accident occurred around approximately 10:45 p.m. on Friday night, July 12. The victim was quickly identified as a 25-year-old woman. She was unrestrained in her vehicle at the time.

The accident took place when her vehicle suddenly rear-ended a stopped vehicle that had been stopped at the scene of another accident when there was still heavy traffic in the area.

The woman was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the county coroner.

Cobbtown, GA – Fatal Crash Involving Tractor on Highway 129

Cobbtown, GA (July 9, 2019) – On Monday, July 8, police responded to the scene of a fatal crash involving a passenger vehicle and tractor in Cobbtown, Candler County.

Police are not sure of the circumstances leading up to the accident but confirmed that one life was taken. The deceased was identified as a 98-year-old man who was operating a tractor at the time.

Atlanta, GA – Bicycle Accident Causes Injuries to Woman on Hosea Williams Drive

Atlanta, GA (July 5, 2019) – A couple was struck while riding when they were suddenly involved in a bicycle accident on Hosea Williams Drive that led to injuries in the woman.

The man and woman were biking to an Atlanta United Game while in the biking lane for Hosea Williams Drive when a black vehicle suddenly swerved into their lane. The woman was thrown from her bike but the man’s bike was only struck slightly.

The man turned around, where he found that the woman was on the ground. He said that he met her on the ground where he found her bleeding from the head, unable to speak. She was allegedly knocked unconscious by the accident.

Paramedics claim that the woman was taken to the emergency room at Grady Hospital where it was said that she sustained a broken collarbone, ribs, and a thumb. She received six staples and a lung contusion.

The driver has not yet been caught after fleeing the scene. The vehicle involved was described as a Hyundai Accent. The investigation into the accident continues.
