🤍 How sweet it is to know that our God of every grace is with us always, in all seasons of life! He, indeed, is our truest and greatest treasure. Through Christ, we have the strength and hope to carry on, and to remain steadfast through every trial and tribulation. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. [1 Cor 15:58 ESV] God of Every Grace

DAY 3: Hymn
We sang “What Child Is This” in church today… such a beautiful song of reflection for the beginning of Advent. My favorite cover is by Keith and Kristyn Getty. Comment the title or lyrics of your favorite Christmas song!

Any Christian music you can recommend? I listen to too little of it. I don't believe a genre of itself is wrong, but most of modern Christian music fails to attract me. If I listen to a spiritual/gospel song, it mostly is something from the 1960's (back when secular music was better also)
The Gray Havens and The Arcadian Wild are incredibly rich artistically and theologically. Principium by Arcadian Wild is one of the most heartwrenchingly beautiful pieces I've ever heard.
For excellent corporate worship, I highly recommend Keith and Kristyn Getty who are producing some of the best modern hymns in the world as well as Matt Boswell and Matt Papa. Shane and Shane and CityAlight also do some excellent work.
If you like the spirituals/gospel songs of the sixties, you might like The Ball Brothers and Selah. I recently discovered Reawaken Hymns and have enjoyed the revitalizations they have done to beloved classics.
A bit more niche but who need more attention is the New Scottish Hymns Band. I love their song "See How Eden's Children Fell." I'll also give a shout out to some friends of mine, Blood and Hyssop, who excel at creating a variety of songs drawn directly from Scripture that are bouncy and fun like Honeycomb and somber and reflective like Thorns and blow your socks off convicting like This World Will Soon Be Over
If you are looking more for music made by Christians and with Christian themes but not intended to be worship music, then I would recommend Skillet for soft rock and Owl City for Owl City.
Feel free to check out this running playlist I have for theologically sound worship music.
