15. anime you never get sick of watching

Honestly...spy x family. I just finished watching spy x family: code white the other night and OH MY FUCKING GOD. It's too cute. It's just too fucking cute (and badass and jesus christ, I love that anime)

25. anime you would recommend to someone who hates anime

Spy x Family, The Apothecary Diaries, Tokyo Revengers and One Piece (but the live action versions because I could enjoy those without ever having watched the actual animes). Also Buddy Daddies. Dragonball...Black Butler...Ace Attorney...Keishichou Tokumubu Tokushu Kyouakuhan Taisakushitsu Dainanaka: Tokunana (or Special Crime Investigation Unit - Special 7)

First of all, Kenjirou Tsuda is an amazing seiyuu. I mean, he has such a recognisable voice and he is always on point with his performances. And he does voice a variety of different characters. But am I the only one who has noticed the trend of him voicing detective characters? :D

I think it started with him voicing Kei Matoba in Cop Craft and then Shiori Ichinose in Keishichou Tokumubu Tokushu Kyouakuhan Taisakushitsu Dainanaka: Tokunana. And now he is will give his voice to a detective character in a new upcoming series called ID:Invaded in the winter 2020 season.

Let’s see how many more detective characters he will voice in the future. XD

Tokunana Predictions

Okay, so lately I see everyone complaining about Seiji's inherent bullshittery of dodging a bullet fired directly into his chest and the animators forgetting he got slashed on the leg. But can I offer a counterpoint:

The writers know full well what they're doing. After all, it seems like the people of this world have abilities.

Look at episode 1. When Seiji gets shot, he flies out of the armored car and you can clearly see blood spatters fly off of him.

That should've killed him, and everyone knows that. But he got up just fine. No tear in his shirt, no blood, nothing. Ichinose, who seems to be the smartest character, handwaves this and says he can't believe Seiji dodged the bullet at close range.

C'mon y'all, Ichinose isn't that dumb. He knows no one can dodge a bullet pressed to their stomach. This man can see through lies and is extremely observant. Later in the episode, he even mentions that Seiji is extremely unlucky (and says he means that).

Ichinose knows more than he is letting on. He probably knows something about Seiji the rookie doesn't even know about himself.

Then in episode 2, we get the knife fight. Seiji gets slashed:

Blood and the works flying out of his leg. And his pants get torn in that spot. Next scene:

Nothing. Not a scratch, no blood, nothing.

This is not a fault on the animators, this is intended. Seiji must have some sort of ability to heal that he is unaware of. Even the opening hints at this with this scene:

Homeboy's punching through straight FIRE. He doesn't even seem to be burned or singed. And yeah that may be just cool visuals for the opening, but everyone else was doing something related to their character (Endo was sniping, Nijo was driving, etc). Why wouldn't Seiji be doing the same?

So now you might be saying "Yeah Ryuu, but even if he had super healing, his clothes should still be torn."

That's why I don't think it's healing. I think Seiji has some sort of time-reversing power he's unaware of. Think Orihime from Bleach. She's the healer, but doesn't actually heal. She merely reverses the time around that person to revert their wounds back to before they were sustained. I think Seiji does something similar, but at this point it is up in the air as to how.

I'm also thinking it has something to do with dragons (see the opening with the baby dragon). Also the fact that Nine is a terrorist group based around dragons is definitely a headscratcher. I'm guessing Seiji is one of the chosen by the dragons (unsure how/why) and Nine is gonna take keen interest in his abilities once they find out.

Why else would Ichinose insist Seiji join Special 7? He wants to keep an eye on him, because if Seiji was alone and Nine discovered his powers, he could be a terrifying opponent/unlucky casualty. And I don't think Ichinose wants to keep letting casualties occur around him. (I think the guy who saved Seiji was his old friend or partner based upon the ending.)

But anyway yeah, that's my prediction. This may be entirely wrong, but I just see so many people dumping on this show for lazy writing when that doesn't seem to be the case at all. The show has dropped too many hints for it to be just lazy writing.

But you should watch Tokunana for yourself and decide if I what I'm saying is a complete crock or not. ;)
