My third great grandfather, Avraham Shlomo Zalman Zoref, was the first official victim of terror in the modern era, recognised by the State of Israel – see below.

Janinos Monkutės-Marks muziejui jau 21-eri !

Muziejaus istorija prasidėjo Lietuvai atgavus nepriklausomybę, kuomet Lietuvos išeivei, menininkei Janinai Monkutei-Marks kilo mintis padovanoti Tėvynei savo kūrybą. 2000 m. ji įsteigė pelno nesiekiančią organizaciją ir, įsigijusi buvusio Kėdainių krašto muziejaus pastatą, įkūrė jame savo vardo muziejų-galeriją. 2001 m. spalio 20 dieną įvyko oficialus muziejaus atidarymas.

Per visus veiklos metus muziejus vis augo ir tapo žinoma kultūros oaze tiek Lietuvoje, tiek tarptautiniuose vandenyse.  Įgyvendinome  335 parodas, renginius bei kitas edukacines veiklas.

Janina Monkute-Marks Art Museum celebrates the 21st Birthday !!!

The Museum history began with the restoration of Lithuanian independence when the artist Janina Monkute-Marks, Lithuanian émigré, considered the idea of donating her own artworks to her homeland. In 2000 she founded the first Lithuanian not-profit-making cultural and educational organization. She purchased the former Kedainiai Regional Museum building and established the Art Museum that carries her name. The official opening of the museum took place on October 20, 2001.

Throughout the years of operation, the museum has grown and became a well-known cultural oasis both in Lithuania and in International waters. We organized 335 exhibitions, events and other educational activities.

his greatest fear is his culture and people being erased

prussia, as always, for killing his fellow baltic siblings/cousins except for latvia. russia for obvious reasons. still a bit towards poland for vilnius.

he’s an early riser and goes to bed super early unless he’s extremely anxious in which case he never sleeps.

he committed war crimes in wwii. also he conspired with sweden against the poles during the second northern war. (see treaty of kedainiai)

18. Things they’ll never admit

see above. a part of him wonders what he’d be like if jogaila never married jadwiga and he never converted. as much as he complains about polands nostalgia towards the commonwealth, he feels similarly towards the grand duchy. nostalgia is a hell of a drug for nations.

Evenimentul a avut loc cu ocazia vizitei delegaţiilor administraţiilor locale din Kedainiai (Lituania) şi Wolomin (Polonia), localităţi cu care Municipiul Fălticeni are oficializate relaţii de colaborare.
