I would once again like to reiterate that I hate men. Because please tell me why we get a new suppressed patient on the floor and the nurse doesn’t know what the deal is with him, so I open up his chart to try and get a clue—and this man’s chart literally says he doesn’t want anyone to know where he is or have any information EXCEPT FOR his wife AND his girlfriend. Like. Sir?? Tf is going on? Do they know about each other? How long you think you’re gonna get away with that?

The kicker is that right now, the girlfriend is in the room and his wife has been calling asking for any updates.

I am just. Bamboozled, truly.

Update: This man had the audacity to come out of his room and look me dead in my face to let me know that “if my wife shows up, tell her I don’t wanna be bothered tonight.”

Bro. She’s your wife. Not mine. YOU tell her. That’s not my job or my business. Maybe get your girlfriend out of the room. Just a suggestion.

Update 2: wifey found out y’all. Wifey found out and she was HOT. Like mad mad. She demanded to be taken off of his chart and pretty much removed from everything. So I do that for her because..fair, babes. Good for you.

…only for her to call back 15 minutes later and be like “you know what? What room is he in, actually?”

Now, typically..if a person has the patient password, I can give them information. She thought she had the patient password because she set it up before he transferred to our floor. Well. Homeboy changed it on her without her knowledge. *Le gasp*.

Therefore, when I asked her the password and she didn’t have the right one, I, according to policy, could not give her any information. (I hated it so much because I’m a girls girl and I was entirely on her side). But she understood and was understandably pissed, so she hung up with no further questions.

Anywhoosen. Charge nurse informs ole boy that wifey knows about said infidelity and he panics and says if she shows up, to have her removed. Yada yada, blah. She didn’t show up because he does not deserve her presence.

To put the cherry on top of the metaphorical cake, douche rocket 3,000 and girlfriend were just going at it as careless as you please in the hospital bed later on, so. Clearly, he’s heartbroken.

Wifey deserves better man. I wish her all the future happiness with someone much more tolerable as a person.

Rumours say that a faulty Iko unit exists that grants their master three wishes. When the cyborg Cinder stumbles over it and accidentally frees the exuberant Iko, she knows right away what her first wish would be - to be a princess worthy of the young Emperor Kaito she met once before at her market stall.

One wish later, Princess Selene enters the scene and she and Kai hit it off - Iko knows a thing or two about match-making after all. When everything goes according to plan, it’s easy for Cinder to promise Iko her freedom with the next wish.

A Brief Timeline Guide to Frozen Books (Part 1) ❄️

One of my followers on Instagram asked me about which Frozen books are related to the movies, which ones are connected to Frozen 1 and Frozen 2. They also wanted to know if there are any books that answer questions from the movies, like details about Agnarr and Iduna's past. So I decided to make this post to answer these questions 😁

Note: - It's been a while since I last read some of these books, so feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. - Also, my photos aren't very aesthetic since some were taken in a rush. - I only covered the books I've read, but you can check out Arendelle Archive's Frozenverse for a more detailed book list within the Frozen universe, and Annals of Frozen for a more detailed chronicle timeline in Frozen universe.

1. Novels

There are twelve novels in total in the Frozen universe. Four of them are junior novelizations, one is an alternate universe (AU) story, and the rest are sequels or prequels to the movies.

Pre-Frozen 1:

Dangerous Secrets (covers the full timeline from the day Agnarr and Iduna met until the day their ship sank).

Fixer Upper (covers the full timeline from the day Kristoff met ice harvester until the day he became one of them).

During Frozen 1:

A Frozen Heart (Frozen 1 story retelling with Anna and Hans' perspective).

Conceal Don’t Feel (AU).

Post-Frozen 1 & Pre-Frozen 2:

Journey to the Lights.

Forest of Shadows (takes place one month before Frozen 2).

2. Dark Horse Comics + Disney Comics

The top two books are retellings of Frozen and Frozen 2, while the rest are sequels to Frozen 1 and prequels to Frozen 2.

Note: - The middle three Adventures comics cover hundreds of short stories. - The bottom four books, timeline in order, are: Breaking Boundaries -> Reunion Road -> The Hero Within -> True Treasure. - The Hero Within mentioned Kai's brother and his hometown. - True Treasure mentioned how Iduna comfort Elsa after she accidentally struck Anna's head.

3. Anna & Elsa Storybook Series

There are nine books in total for this series, all of them are sequels to Frozen 1 and prequels to Frozen 2.

Note: - Most of the stories are also included in the Adventures series comics but longer version. - Timeline in order, are: All Hail to Queen -> Memory of Magic -> A Warm Welcome -> The Great Ice Engine -> The Polar Bear Piper -> The Arendelle Cup -> The Secret Admirer -> Return to the Ice Palace -> Anna Takes Charge. - Memory of Magic mentioned that Anna’s memories which were altered by Grand Pabbie, were never fully restored. - The Great Ice Engine mentioned how Oaken is passionate and expert in invention.

4. Short Stories

Elsa's Icy Rescue takes place before the incident occurred, while Anna Finds a Friend is set after the incident. And Stories From Arendelle are sequels to Frozen 1 and prequels to Frozen 2.

Note: - In Elsa's Icy Rescue, it is mentioned how the Arendelle royal family lived happily and how Elsa learned to be a queen. - In Anna Finds a Friend, it is noted how bored Anna's life became after Elsa locked herself in her room. - Two stories are covered in Stories From Arendelle, which are Phantoms of Arendelle and Olaf & Sven on Thin Ice.

5. Frozen and Frozen 2 Retelling Storybooks

All of these books are Frozen and Frozen 2 retelling storybooks, featuring amazing illustrations.

6. Others Storybooks and Graphic Novel

All of these books are sequels to Frozen 1 and prequels to Frozen 2, except for Anna, Elsa, and the Enchanting Holiday, Anna and the Mystery of the Mountains and some of the stories in 5-mins & storybook collection are sequels to Frozen 2.

They are all short, beautiful stories.

Note: - Most of the stories in the 2nd and 3rd (Advent Calendar storybooks) are repetitive compared to the Adventure comics, and some of the stories are retellings of Frozen 1 and Frozen 2. - Anna and the Mystery of the Mountains discusses how Anna deals with challenges as the Queen of Arendelle (including a beautiful scene of Elsa with her hair down in her sleepwear). - Anna, Elsa, and the Secret River is a book that introduces the four spirits. - Sisters and Snowmen covered three stories, A Frozen Adventure (Frozen 1 retelling), A Sister More Like Me and An Amazing Snowman.

You ever realize that out of all the main characters in the Lunar Chronicles, only Thorne and Scarlet (and Jacin?) went to school like normal. Sure, Thorne was running poker tables at recess, but that's normal compared to everyone else. Kai is royalty, so he probably had a tutor. Winter had a tutor. Cress learned how to hack before she could read (she hacked to get the books that taught her how to read). Wolf was a child soldier. Iko is a robot. Cinder was unconscious for most of her childhood, then she was force to work (in pretty sure she never went to school but correct me if I'm wrong). Jacin was normal, I guess, but he was raised on Luna.

Just imagine Thorne saying something reminded him of high school and almost everyone else cannot relate

I am..a little bit of a bitch tonight. And not because of Tara this time. Shocker right? No. No, it is not. Because rumpleforeskin is a special brand of irritating.

I may or may not have hurt one of the male nurses feelings, but. Honestly, he had it coming.

(I’d like to preface by making it known that not only is he very demeaning, but he’s also kind of creepy. The persistent type of flirting that doesn’t go away even when you’ve expressed your very clear distaste.)

I was up from my desk making the charge nurse coffee because she’s having a shit day. And I mean yeah, sure. My job is largely making sure I’m at the desk and available in the event of an emergency, assistance, or questions that the nurses may have. But that doesn’t mean that I stay at this desk for twelve hours. Hell no. I’d be absolutely miserable.

But anyway. I’m already not having the best brain day, right? (Intrusive thoughts are a bitch—) On top of that though, is the fact that I didn’t sleep well. And this man comes into the break room in an honest to God huff like I’ve morally wronged him.

I immediately take a deep breath. Because I know him. I know how he is. (Read: I know how much of a pompous dickbag he is) I know he’s going to be a complete moron and that this is likely a whole 2 minutes of my life I’ll never get back.

He has the audacity, okay? The sheer and utter audacity to look at me and go, “There you are. You’ve been away from your desk for like 3 minutes. I’ve been looking for you and you’re not where you’re supposed to be.”

Now. Keep in mind I’m not obligated to stay at the desk all night. Also keep in mind that if he would have just left the ‘not where you’re supposed to be’ part of that sentence off, I’d have been much nicer to him.

As it is, it went all through me the wrong way, but me being me, I still try to keep nice with him. So I’m like “I’m making coffee for Tonya, Fuhad. Is that a problem?”

This wankstain goes, “Perhaps it is.”

And maybe he’s joking, you know? Maybe he’s not. I don’t fucking know at this point. So I immediately assume an attitude because can you not? And I’m like, “Then I suggest that you perhaps get over it. You do realize that my job has an actual purpose, right? Like I’m not just here to sit pretty at my desk to be readily available for your every beck and whim. I’m not a call girl. Did you actually need something?”

Unsurprisingly, he didn’t need anything. 🙄

Her glass slipper is her prosthetic foot. She's a cool badass mechanic queen. She's named Cinder because her aunt set her on fire as a toddler but she survived. She's a a cool cyborg with psychic powers, and she's also a really good mechanic.

She's a cyborg and she's from the Moon

She is a badass mechanic who is also a cyborg and did not intend to get dragged into this mess. She becomes a fugitive of the law, running from the prince who is also her romantic interest and is just objectively the best.

I love a sarcastic character and I love a good confrontation scene and she's great with both

she's a cyborg she's a mechanic she's a princess she's a fugitive she's the best.

She's a mechanic she's the lunar princess she has two prosthetic limbs she's supposed to be dead. Her best friend is an android who's a fangirl of her boyfriend (Kai, the emperor). Her ball was actually her showing up to keep Kai from getting seduced by her aunt (who's queen of the moon) and then killed. Instead of losing her slipper she just lost her entire foot. (That's all just in the first book.)

look man, if you've read tlc you know why but if not: cinder here goes through a lot, from living in a shitty household to leading a rebellion and witnessing what's practically a massacre (TWICE), getting stabbed in the mc'freaking heart and surviving, being a wanted fugitive, Oh, and also, she loses her goddamn FOOT instead of a glass slipper lol (albeit the foot is a prosthetic, which i might've forgotten to add, her left arm and (i think) leg are metal due to getting BURNED as a toddler by her somewhat power hungry aunt)

She's SO cool she's a mechanic and really clever and also an amputee and her prosthetics are very cool and she has fun space adventures with her little gang of found family and is also the heir to the crown on the moon and is trying to get control of it from her aunt (who's a dictator) so she can help the moon people be less oppressed! tl;dr she's a girlboss

She literally got set on fire. Shes a cyborg. Shes such a girl boss that her love interest kept her severed prosthetic foot as a memento. She is a revolutionary [against her will] and a politician [also against her will]. Shes a skilled mechanic, and called the queen of a super-powerful alien race with the ability to manipulate people’s perceptions of reality ugly TO HER FACE. Queen does not give a shit and just wants to hang out with her robot bestie and her dork ass boyfriend who is also the leader of an entire country. Shes iconic, she is the moment.

Cyborg and mechanic is a fun new twist on classic Cinderella! (At least when I read it and it was new). Plus she’s got her Prince/Emperor all wrapped around her fingers before the ball!

she's cool as fuck that's why!! cyborg cinderella in a cool-ass future sci-fi world, she doesn't have glass slippers so she loses her ill-fitted cybernetic foot, she has a gun in her cyborg hand (mostly uses nonlethal projectiles), she has cool sci-fi magic mind powers, she's from the moon, she's a mechanic & she's smart as hell, she literally forms a ragtag team of other fairytale inspired characters & dethrones the evil queen of the lunar monarchy. also her prince charming is cool & funny & they're so sickeningly in love their feelings could power the sun. anyway vote Cinder ✨️

cinder is a mixed cyborg mechanic who has acquired beef with both her stepmother (adopted) and her bio aunt (tyrant queen levanna) and manages to escape their attempts to keep her down (including arson when she was like. 3 years old) and ultimately overthrows her aunt in a revolution lead by her and the other fairytale retellings (red riding hood and wolf, rapunzel and her ‘prince’, and her cousin snow white and her prince) and establishes a democracy! i enjoyed the series growing up and i personally think that cinder is very cool :]

The first book in The Lunar Chronicles is a retelling of cinderella, and my gosh it’s amazing. Cinder is a cyborg and faces a lot of prejudice, and it’s interesting to see that even in the future, where the book is set, there’s still so much discrimination, and Cinder faces it so well. It's very common for Cinderella retelling that "girlboss" her end up sending the weird message that victims of abuse should simply stand up for themselves <3 I really like Cinder because she's spunky and snaps at her stepmother, but it doesn't. do her any good? It just makes her stepmother worse. Also one of her stepsisters is nice, I love Peony.

Her voice is celestial! The power of her performance is undeniable! As a lifelong Cinderella fan she was always one of my favorites.

Plot holes in the lunar chronicles that I’ve noticed on my millionth read through that WILL NOT detract from my enjoyment:

1) Marissa Meyer does not know how freckles work

see Cress having freckles despite zero sun exposure (but ig probably the exact amount of vitamin D she’s supposed to get) aboard the satellite

2) Cinder is wasian/more generally mixed raced and Channary looks so similar to Cinder that Kai sees a portrait of her and thinks for a moment that it is Cinder… but Levana is… white?

I guess the logical conclusion is that levana is also wasian, but I feel as tho that is not the authorial intent bc that is white woman behavior if I’ve ever seen it

the other logical conclusion and the one I personally subscribe to is that Cinder’s father had Asian heritage, but Channary and Levana were white and Cinder just… westernizes/whitewashes herself a little when she uses her glamour…??? Like… to match westernized beauty standards?

idk neither answer is particularly satisfying but I feel as tho the series is thematically stronger if the former lunar queens who want to do colonization, genocide, and imperialism are white women.

3) Dr. Erland should’ve absolutely infected Cinder and Thorne in that tunnel based on the absolutely unhinged and unrealistic but pre-established rules of letamosis

They were in very close quarters for at least an hour as he was entering stage 2 or 3 of the disease. They should’ve all been fucked. (Not to mention how closely Erland interacted with Thorne when they went to the labs)

4)… shouldn’t Dr Erland have had a perfectly good letumosis antidote on him (or at least on the Rampion) yk, from when he stole it from the palace and fled the country???

What happened to that huh? Did we just forget about her?
