Thinkin about how Elena in TVD went on to become a doctor and how Tom Avery (Stefan’s doppelgänger) was a paramedic in Atlanta which means if Stefan/Damon never came into her life, Elena could’ve moved from mystic falls to Atlanta, GA to intern at a hospital where she’d eventually meet and fall in love with Tom Avery instead of all the fucked up shit that ended up happening.

#this is not Stelena/Delena hate #it’s just that when you think about it this is what should’ve happened right?#I know that in that one season Stefan and Elena kept having those weird dreams bc technically they were soulmates #but if you really think about it the doppelgängers whole reason for existing were bc of Silas and Amara #ignoring the vampire parts of it that means that Tatia should’ve also had a doppelgänger soulmate that was alive during HER TIME #same as Katherine and Stefan #it’s been a bit so maybe I’m missing/forgetting something but #when you ignore the fact that Katherine became a vampire and the turned Stefan and Damon who found Elena all those decades laters #without their interference wouldn’t Elena and Tom eventually find/be with each other #I’m also aware that’s not how it always works but in my defense AGAIN if vampires failed to exist OR #if The Originals were turned by anyone else’s blood (and ya know not Tatia’s)#Katherine would’ve never been on the run from Klaus when she was mortal which means she’d never be turned #which means neither would Stefan/Damon #again correct me if I’m wrong but Elena could’ve lived out a normal life with Tom like (from what I remember) she was destined to #it’s just weird to think about #tvd #the vampire diaries #m speaks
