It had a been a long day so once Sebrina was asleep, Kate decided to relax in the pool - even if it was only a little inflatable one.

Since she had luck winning the Spice challenge, Kate entered the weekly Karaoke contest. She was confident in her singing ability but alas did not win.

Her first fan! There are a lot of stray dogs around here so Kate puts on impromptu concerts for them.

Kate may have been a high school dropout with no family but she wants to do the best for her daughter.

This apartment sucks.

A bar moved in to the warehouse where Kate had set up her camp. It was a dive and pretty grotty but Kate was happy to have a place inside to play.

Kate's very confident in her (terrible) singing ability but still hasn't won the karaoke contest.

Inspired liberally by challenges such It Girls and Live For Something, I've decided to start one of my own. Basically I was feeling a bit burnt out on some of current gameplay and I had the sudden desire to play in the city. So I was basically inspired by...well, songs I love.

So everyone...meet Kate, inspired by the Ben Folds Five song by the same name.

Kate Reilly was raised in a group home but as soon as she could, she dropped out of high school and made her way to the big city to make it on her own. Armed with a sleeping bag & her beloved guitar, she arrived to find the only place she could stay was on the street, right next to an abandoned warehouse. However, she is an eternal optimist and expects big things to happen for her soon.

Kate's goals

Start on an empty lot with sleeping bag, guitar and 0 funds.

Once reaching 5K can move to needs TLC apt

Once reaching 30k, can move to nicer apartment

(I have a couple of future generations half formed; we'll see if I get that far. I don't know how much I'll be posting this gameplay, however I always say that and then get really into a storyline.)
