Sanctuary community?

I was thinking of giving this community feature a try and creating a Sanctuary For All community. But since they're being manually approved right now, I guess it'd take a while to open, which means I also can't check if anyone else has already started one.

I guess this is me wondering whether there's interest in me creating one and whether someone else has already done so (I wouldn't want to create competition, seeing how we're already such a small fandom :)

I love this man.

I see Will as the type that knows who he likes and doesn’t really have a label for it that feels right to him so he’s unlabelled.

He’s had some relationships with men and women in his college years but nothing really felt too serious to him.

For the first few years after he realised that he was Queer he didn’t really feel comfortable coming out. The people he hung out with didn’t really respect him so he didn’t feel like they were the right people to tell. After he met everyone at the Sanctuary he felt more comfortable coming out as Queer.

He had a crush on Henry when he first met him and definitely felt close to him. Henry’s voice was the thing to calm him down when he was injected and changed. In my shippers heart they get together but unfortunately the show didn’t do that 😭

He gets frustrated when people say that he doesn’t seem queer when they find out. He knows that they’re stereotyping him and it makes him annoyed and uncomfortable.

He’s flustered when anyone is flirting with him.

The first person he came out to in the Sanctuary was Helen as he felt very connected to her and he felt she’d understand. Helen becomes protective of him after finding out but knows he can handle himself because he’s dealt with it every day his entire life but she will step in if he needs help.

Kate thinks it’s great because she’s bi and she can talk to him about stuff.

Henry is bi too and also eventually develops a crush on Will.

Everyone in that Sanctuary is Queer.

🇬🇧 I really love Sanctuary but sometimes I wish it wasn't made in 2008-2011. You know the dark and yellowish foundation, concealed lips, weird sweaters, french manicure, low waist jeans etc.

Poor Magnus and Nikola with yellow foundation, sometimes even with John Druitt.

Or that horrible blue and black sweater that Will wear.

Is there anything you don't like about Sanctuary? If yes, what is it?

🇮🇹 Io adoro Sanctuary ma alle volte vorrei che non fosse uscito dal 2008-2011. Il fondotinta troppo scuro e giallognolo, le labbra con il correttore, strane felpe, la french alle unghie, i pantaloni a vita bassa etc.

I poveri Magnus e Nikola con la faccia giallognola dal fondotinta, alle volte succede anche con John.

O quell'orribile felpa sfumata dal blu al nero che indossa Will.

C'è qualcosa che non vi piace di Sanctuary? Se sì, quale?

Sanc Weekly Writing

In Helen’s opinion there was in fact a perfect mission.

A mission that had just the right balance of intrigue, excitement and information to keep her interested while simultaneously not having too much of any of those things. Yes, in her mind, there was a perfect mission.

Despite never having had one of the missions in question, she was certain that one day there would be one.

It just wasn’t going to be today.

Helen ducked behind a crate and scowled deeply. She could see Will having taken full cover behind a wall, which was good as he could manage a combat situation but wasn’t amazing in them. While Kate attempted to move to a slightly better position.

Helen fired off several shots from her position and wondered how she was supposed to get to her goal with three poachers standing in the way. That little fire snake needed to be given a full-size habitat and left alone to leave in peace. Not peddled away as a trinket to a collector and treated like a rock.

Kate made eye contact and did a series of complex motions. Helen held her breath and did a series back, trying to deter her from making a huge step into a lot of danger. Kate seemed to refuse and shook her head several times. There was really nothing for it.

Helen held her breath and waited for Kate to make her move.

Helen frowns, pressing the back of her hand to Kate's forehead. "You're warm," she says, trying to keep the concern out of her voice. Kate hates being coddled-so very like Helen in that way-but some coddling may be in order here. She's feverish, and by the look on her face, she may not be hearing half of what Helen says.

"'s just hot in here." Kate's brows furrow.

It's absolutely not-Helen Magnus keeps her house perfectly comfortable, thank you very much-and Helen sighs. "You need to lie down."

"'m fine."

Stubborn, stubborn girl. Helen shakes her head. "This isn't a suggestion. Go lie down, and I'll have my old friend bring you something to drink."

With a huff and an eyeroll that reminds Helen far less of herself and far more of a ghost she cannot name, of blonde hair and ripped jeans and sneaking out of bedroom windows, Kate rises to her feet, only to sway on the spot. Helen catches her, barely, steadying her shoulders.

"Can take care of myself," Kate mutters, but her voice is smaller now, less sure. "Been doing it my whole life."

Oh, how she wishes she had met this young woman sooner, that she could have spared her the pain of fending for herself. But she's here now, so with a reassuring squeeze to her shoulder, she replies, "A useful skill, no doubt, but not one you've any need of employing here. Come. Let's get you to your room."

At last the fight seems to drain from Kate, and she lets Helen guide her through the Sanctuary halls to the messy bedroom Kate has made her own. Poor girl, Helen thinks, as she helps her settle in. So many people willing to help her, and she's still trying to make it alone.
