The Ireland coaching group have named the final Ireland Match Day Squad of 2022 for Saturday’s Bank of Ireland Nations Series finale against Australia at Aviva Stadium (Kick-off 8pm, live on Virgin Media, Amazon Prime and RTE Radio).

Ireland v Australia Rugby

Andy Farrell is set to name his Ireland team to face Australia this weekend as his side look to end the year with another victory.

The Dublin clash will be Ireland’s final match of 2022 and their last fixture before the start of the Six Nations in February.

Johnny Sexton will captain the side for the Wallabies clash after declaring himself fit. There were fears that the fly-half would miss the game after he suffered a dead leg early in the second half during Ireland’s stirring victory against South Africa a week and a half ago.

But the Leinster star has reassured Ireland fans that he is “ready to go” against Australia.

Ireland will be looking to add to their Autumn International wins against world champions South Africa and Fiji on Saturday (8pm kick-off), while Australia is expected to up their game after recent defeats to France and Italy, as well as a narrow victory over Scotland.

Australia head coach bullish

Dave Rennie insists Australia “know the enemy” but are not playing the underdogs tag this week as they prepare for Saturday night’s big clash with Ireland.

Rennie has named close to a full-strength side for the Autumn series showdown at the Aviva Stadium, where the hosts are hoping to equal a record 12th successive home win that was set during Joe Schmidt’s reign.

But the Wallabies head coach started the week on the back foot after facing a barrage of criticism for the display against Italy in Florence, with the Azzurri beating Australia for the first time.

That came on the back of the Wallabies coming within two minutes of beating France in Paris, and Rennie has reverted back to the core of that line-up, with 10 changes made from last week.

Ireland are favorites heading into this one and Rennie said: “I think everyone likes being an underdog, but we haven’t used that term.

“We know we’re playing an outstanding side and we’re going to have to be at our best.

“We’ve had a massive focus on us. You can show a lot of footage of how good they are but I’m not sure that’s going to help us.

“So, we know the enemy, but it’s important that we’re really clear on the type of game we need to play to try and put them under pressure.”

cause jason is like, basic flying, and we were looking at uravity's powers from bnha, and then annabeth is diego's powers anyway, piper is still charmspeak because duh, frank is shape shifting (?), percy is like water tendrils or some shit, however the idea bri proposed with blood ending is kinda sick so might have that instead bro, and then hazel is the mist manipulation, and leo is a normie 😩 because u want that ostracization feeling and it would be crazy if piper was the one who made him forget his powers (uh fire ig 🙄) and also hargreaves i think we both said would fit pretty well with hera, because of how she works with both jason as #1 (her champion and shit), anna's distaste for her, and then like, hera fucking with leo through his childhood lol

but like if u REALLY want to do it powers wise and not just the seven, nico is a solid #5 for obvs reasons, and if u want to play on the sound aspect of the white violin, then an apollo kid probably works for #7, and the only apollo kid with a music aptitude is austin. piper already works well into #3 because she wanted to be normal and disliked using it too much. nico and hazel can also be a solid #4 cause duh, so if u put hazel as the boy, and hazel as the seance, ur set. i dislike diego. #6 is funny if u made is jason cause he's dead but like powers wise, there's not really an equivalent.... of course, these are all based off the show powers, as in the comics they are a bit different!!!!

Beta needed!

I’m looking for someone to beta a season 2 spec fic that I'm working on. I think it will be about 30 - 50 chapters, each about 6,000 words. I have the first one done. It’s likely going to be rated M, not for any foreseeable smut, but more because of cannon level stuff and lots of F bombs.

I’ll need someone I can bounce ideas off of and is just as enthusiastic about the project as I am.  

As for the narrative voice, it’s told by a currently unnamed outsider looking into the family drama. I was kind of going for if Kat Dennings (the girl who plays Darcy from the MCU) was cast as Lemony Snicket.

If you are interested in stories that are entirely predictable and believable, look elsewhere, because the dictionary kind of lost predictable about three decades ago when forty three women gave birth to babies that they had not previously been carrying. Believable followed twelve years after when seven of those kids were paraded around the world as a crime fighting force and no one said jack diddly about about child endangerment.

My generation was far too busy wanting to be them, pretending to have powers and drawing umbrella tattoos on our wrist. One or two of us even got the real tattoo and a real asswhooping by real pissed parents to go with it… not that I know anything about that personally. 

We were young, dumb and compleatly unable to see through Ben’s fragile smile when asked anything about his powers, or the fact that Klaus was drugged off his ass ninety percent of the time, or the fact that no one ever seemed to ask what happened to that one kid who was with them for the first few months then just disappeared. 

Nothing seemed odd or concerning until the family’s redheaded lesbian stepchild wrote that tell all book and then all the old biddys just knew all along that something hadn’t been right. Not that they ever said anything because of course it would have been obvious. 

Then again, daddy Hargreaves was an old, well respected,  and obscenely rich white man so maybe in retrospect that’s the most believable part of all this.

But that doesn’t negate what I was saying because, whatever the morality of the situation,  we all read the comics, devoured the interviews and seen the poorly shot news footage of their battles. Zombie Robots, Shrink Rays and crazy ass machines that let people literally suck the life out of others a la Dr. Terminal did not happen before the magical baby boom. 

The sad part is that it all gets weirder. 

Now i know by now everyone’s seen it, the videos posted online that are supposedly of another timeline of the Hargreave children trying to stop the apocalypse and failing miserably. Half the world is taking bets on if it’s an elaborate prank by those motherfuckers or it’s real. The academy is kind of keeping mum about it, but then again they do have more pressing issues going on right now. 

Suffice it to say, It’s real. And how do I know? 

Fucking Baby Boomers. Let’s just leave it at that.

Am I the only one who thought that the ten hour highlight reel of the world's most dysfunctional family of superheroes trying to stop the end of the world is a bit like watching a train wreck in slow motion? So terrible and beautyful and oddly mesmorising that you forget to get the fuck out of the way before you get smacked in the face with a smokestack. 

Now that we are all sitting here nursing the proverbial broken nose, i can pick up right where the video left, because I am a lazy fuck who hates doing work that has already been done.
