"kapp'n is a pedophile because he flirts with the girl player in city folk" playing as whatever in ac doesn't make you a child. children don't own houses, pay off debt, live alone, get part time jobs at nooks, go to the city, have a credit card/money, be a mayor, go to a island alone, etc. kapp'n was still wild for that because he's a shriveling corpse that's married, but i'm tired of people saying the player is a child when they're clearly not. they're likey in their early 20's because of the letters they get by "mom" and "dad" implying they left home not too long ago. the only people who refer to the player as young and/or child are ones that are like twice their (supposed) age

Obsessed with the narratively buried supernatural aspects of Animal Crossing. So, Redd's a kitsune who uses whatever magicks he has on his forgeries (ex. some of his failed paintings' eyes glow red if you face away). Are kitsune and foxes different, or is a kitsune just a fox with powers? I assume the furniture-to-leaves thing is Tom Nook's doing, since he's a tanuki. Is that normal?

Luna is a baku, a tapir-like creature who feeds off of dreams. Lyle is implied to have worked alongside Redd back when he sold insurance; he and his niece may be kawauso, mythological river otter tricksters. And, of course, Kapp'n and his family are kappa, straight up. Is this all Tuesday for animal folk, or is it secret, or what? Why doesn't anybody talk about it.

Y'know what, I was holding off posting this for some reason but honestly I just wanted to post something, so! The Heroes!

Wanted to try a movie poster-esque style for this one and I'm happy with how everyone in the background came out (except for Sable, I think she maybe needs more work). Originally this was just going to be an underdrawing/style test for a more finished painting, but I just kind of left it like this (that's why there's a big dark smudge behind Reese's ears that I forgot to erase).

Hope you enjoy! I've been slowly racking up lots of HOAV art in varying degrees of polish so I'll probably start posting more soon!
