The Driver Era: “Keep Moving Forward” (2022)

Afternoons at WUSB mean some of our newjack student dee-jays play it safe and play over-amplified pop such as “Keep Moving Forward”. There’s zero doubt that this flashy Daft Punk simile will make hundreds of thousands of listener’s Spotify playlists when the sun comes. So this had us thinking: how close had Omega WUSB played over-charged pop such as this on our station’s airwaves? Two remixes of Jagwar Ma’s “Uncertainty” from Ewan Pearson and MssingNo (’14), Kania’s remix of Odesza’s “It’s Only” (’16), two songs from George Clanton, and some half-intensive chillwave in our earlier years. (How cringe would it been if we reached for Saint Pepsi? That would’ve haunted us for the rest of our show’s tenure.) Because this doesn’t fit our sound, “Keep Moving Forward” is out of contention for our show.
