Since I haven’t updated y’all on Kalypso’s story in forever:

Kalypso Kramer died, badly, at 19. Her father, Kameron, who had already lost his wife to childbirth, was so devastated by this that he decided his only option was to bring her back to life.

He ran off rumors and local legends, carting her body across the states for years until eventually tracking down one necromancer: Mezi Manders, a sort of cryptid legend in the superhero community, known for never wanting to use her powers.

Kameron didn’t care. Murdered someone, to make the resurrection work.

And Kalypso did come back. She came back, the same as she was before, but she was horrified by what her dad had done.

She came back with severe chronic fatigue, bad enough to not be able to live on her own. So Kameron takes care of her, in their little home in Georgia. Their conversations are silent, mostly.

right. We’re scrapping Kalypso’s self-worth issues and giving them to Kylie.

there was an incident, when Leander and Archer were fighting, as they tend to do, where Archer let Livia into the house. This ended more bloodily for him than it did for Leander, because Kalypso tried to intervene and of course Livia attacked her and Archer wasn’t mad at Kalypso, so it just ended with them fighting her together. Leander didn’t try to stop Livia from strangling him when she got the chance and they had to be dragged away from each other.

Archer resents Kalypso, a little bit. He can’t imagine being loved by his parents as much as she is, and seeing her try to get away from it makes him angry, a little bit. He would kill for his dad to care about him that much and here she is, horrified by it.

im crying. Kalypso and Harper would have been the same age if they'd both been alive. fuck.

hmmmmmmmmmm. After a night of daydreaming I think Kallistic is a lot more emotionally volatile than I originally conceived

Kalypso's hair was chemically straightened in middle school, but she chopped it all off before she died the first time.

psh. If Kalypso ever came onto Leander he’d be like “nope sorry I’m already tied up in a codependent spiral based on our shared feelings of being violations of the sanctity of life. Can’t do two of that at once”
