Kalafina LIVE THE BEST 2015 “Red Day / Blue Day” at Nippon Budokan ~Second Outfits~

I really like these..! That sort of military uniform vibe, all the jewels and sparkly details, the colours, the cuts... All works great. The wrist accesory on the RD one is really nice, and the white cape-like thingy with the flowers on the BD vest is really cute too! These dresses are quite similar yet so unique... everytime you see something you haven’t seen before.

Kalafina LIVE TOUR 2015~2016 “far on the water” Special FINAL ~Third Outfit~

I’m reaaally, really fond of this live and all her smiling and laughing during the MC wearing this makes it even more beautiful ^^ ..!! That creamy palette is really cute, and all the handcrafted-looking details makes this looks kind of simple yet special. Is not one of those big, bright, full of layers outfit, but it’s kind of modest. For me, it’s kind of like her regular self haha The head piece is really cute too!!

Kalafina LIVE TOUR 2015~2016 “far on the water” Special FINAL ~First Outfit~ Kalafina Arena LIVE 2016 at Nippon Budokan ~Third Outfit~ (Encore) AKA: Hikaru On Pants!!

(Yes, I know I left the 9+ONE out) Haven’t heard the first person who doesn’t like Hikaru on pants. I mean, she looks really cool and it works really well for the choreographies and the Edgy-Hikaru-Mode. These outfits are quite similar too. Short boots, shiny embrodery all over the sides of the pants and some on the upper body part as well, no sleeves on the arms and some tummy here and there.. haha The vest on the FOTW one is really nice! The long part on the back side looks really fancy and I recently noticed there’s a fringe at the bottom of the front side. Really nice too! From the arena live one, I like the different textures of the leather-ish and the translucent parts. I think these pants outfits really fit Hikaru.

Well, that’s it for this time... There’s no much to add besides how much I like Hikaru’s outfits and how happy I am that she’s still around in Twitter. I had not realised how much I missed her until that Twitcast a few days ago... It made me so happy to hear her again ^^ !!

Group Outfits:

I do like many of the outfits, but there is always one that I don't like very much. This was surprisingly difficult. Special mentions go the ring your bell, Yume no Daichi, and the to the beginning PV's.

Magia PV: This PV was the first of Kalafina's that I watched and I fell in love with the dominatrix look with the leather and the high boots with the flowing fabric. Hikaru especially, looks like a queen in this song with her hairstyle, and owns the song. I also love Wakana's sleeves and Keiko's jacket.

into the world PV: Did someone say... LACE?! These dresses would be just your average white dresses for me, but the lace around the chest and the sleeves really sells it for me - it reallt gives an elegant style that fits the setting of the room in the PV as opposed to the beach with their jackets

Kagayaku Sora no Shijima ni wa PV: These outfits are popular throughout the fandom, and I love them to death. The pure victorian gothic lolita aesthetic of these dresses fit the song and the PV in a way that is utterly gorgeous

Wakana Outfits:

believe PV: Wakana's dress is so shiny and coupled with her straight hair (which I am always a sucker for) suits her really well

Hyakka Ryouran PV: I absolutely adore Wakana's hairstyle here with the ribbon. The shoulder off look always shows off Wakana's collarbones and here is no exception and the single flowing arm along with the patterns make her look beautiful

into the world PV: The lace design on Wakana's dress is absolutely beautiful I don't have words for it. I usually don't like this kind of hairstyle on Wakana, but it looks beautiful with this dress

Keiko Outfits:

blaze PV: I love Keiko in a ponytail, and this dress is quite cute and suits it. What sells the dress for me is the flowing arm which is just the right type of fabric imo (not too heavy and not too thin). The cut of the neck is quite nice as well

Hyakka Ryouran PV: I love the flowing sleeves on this dress, it really sets it apart from the other girls with its bright red that catches your attention. The layers of fabric is something that I'm not usually a fan of but on this dress it's small enough that I can look over it. Again, the patterns are gorgeous

storia PV: I adore the puffy sleeves and the decoration on the chest (she kinda looks like a maid it's cute). The hair decorations are not too OTT and complements the curls of her hair. The fabric of the skirt is my favourite out of the three and I love boots on Keiko

Hikaru Outfits: tbh Hikaru's hairstyles are the standouts of these outfits imo

Hikari Furu PV: I freaking LOVE the hair decoration + hairstyle, she looks very elegant and cute at the same time. I also like the puffy sleeves, I feel like they really sell the dress for me. I also love the cut of short at the front of more flowing at the back, it looks better on here than on the other dresses

Kimi no Gin no Niwa PV: The design of this dress is quite simple but it's simplicity is really the selling point. It's a very cute look, with the small boots, the short, loose dress with that small amount of embroidery and curled hair

Hikari no Senritsu: Hikaru's dress of the HnS dresses is my favourite. Although the chains are a bit too much for my taste, this yellow looks really nice on Hikaru and the small amount of red really adds to it. The straight hair is also really nice, and the length of the sleeves I've always thought is cute, and the boots are always nice with shorter dresses.

It’s mainly because of those insanely beautiful photo shots that I adore these dresses. The postcard set of this concert is amazing and the girls look so great in the dresses.

『Kalafina’s All Time Best 』Looks/Outfits Challenge ~ PVs

When I saw @spwitti‘s post today I got motivated. So let’s do this 〈(•ˇ‿ˇ•)-→

I thought I would start with my group favourites. Meaning that these are my Top 3 where I like all three looks. This was surprisingly hard since I usually dislike at least one of their outfits.

Kagayaku Sora no Shijima ni Wa PV: My all time favourite PV look. Utterly gorgeous and I am just really in love with the victorian/gothic style. This is how I first came across Kalafina, it’s this aesthetic I first fell in love with and I will forever be in love with those dresses! (｡♥‿♥｡)

Believe PV: These dresses are so shiny and I love how they change colour depending on the angle/light exposure. For some reason the dresses remind me of mermaids, am I the only one that thinks this way? The entire PV is gorgeous

Hyakka Ryouran PV: The traditional look is simply gorgeous. And those bold colours! I love everything about it (especially their individual hair-styles). Off-shoulder!Wakana, pants!Hikaru, flowy-arms/short-skirt!Keiko, so many great highlights in this PV look!!

Now let’s get to the individual Top 3. I tried to choose different looks but if I am being honest I would probably put Keiko’s Hyakka Ryouran dress in the top three as well.

Magia PV: I really love dark!Keiko and some of you might already know that I am a sucker for short-hair!Keiko. This look is just so freaking sexy and edgy and totally different from anything she has ever worn. domina!Keiko FTW

Symphonia PV: DAT hair! We don’t see Keiko in luscious curls like that very often so I really treasure this look. And I just really love Keiko in flowy sleeves, in a pretty corset and a short skirt. It’s such a flattering style on her (probably why I also really love  her Hyakka Ryouran outfit)

Far on the Water PV: The cut on this dress is just mind-blowing. So elegant and yet so sexy.

~Wakana~

Once again I went for styles that were not already included in my group favourites. Honourable mention is Wakana’s “into the world” look. I am super in love with the lace but sadly you barely see it in the PV due to the jackets.

Far on the Water PV: While I love Keiko’s fotw PV look it is nothing compared to Wakana’s dress. Wakana just looks like a beautiful fairy. （´・｀ ）♡ On a side note, I really love the cut-outs on the arms.

To the Beginning PV: I have to include at least one sexy and edgy look for each girl. The leather corset, the trademark Wakana look with one flowy sleeve and one sexy bare arm. It should be mandatory for Wakana to show off her gorgeous arms and shoulders (and collarbones XD)

Blaze PV: I am not a big fan of the other Blaze dresses but damn, Wakana slays in her outfit. It’s so flattering for her figure and it’s super rare we get to see her in such a tight dress.

I realised that I don’t really like a lot of Hikaru’s PV looks so I had to go for one of my favourite group outfits.

One Light PV: Hikaru just really rocks the edgy look. Whether it is in One Light or To the Beginning. I love the leather glove on one hand and I just generally like her in black. 

To the Beginning PV: Probably my favourite dress in their ttb PV. Everything just matches perfectly. And there’s a sexy leather glove again!

Kagayaku Sora no Shijima ni Wa PV: Okay, like I said, I am not a huge fan of the other Hikaru PV dresses so I will have to go with her KSnSnW outfit. So beautiful!!

Kalafina’s All Time Best Looks/Outfits Challenge ～ Keiko’s PV/MV Looks

Well... didn’t finish this before 2019... This is one of my favourite categories for Keiko. I like a lot the outfits she’s wore for the MV’s. Let’s start.

Magia (2011)

Ok... I think this is hands down the sexiest Keiko we’ve ever had (In a music video). High boots, stockings, short skirt in the front and long in the back, leather jacket with big shoulder pads. corset, velvety gloves, that beautiful neck piece... and all in red and black... Plus the short black hair (wig)... soooo badass... Wish we’ve had the chance to see these Magia outfits more...

Symphonia (2011)

Keiko looks like royalty here. The marble-like pattern of the dress is really nice and you can’t miss the corset. Those big earrings and the necklace go great with the whole thing, and the big highlight: Keiko’s beautiful hair!

Märchen (2017)

This is kind of a Frankenstein outfit. It’s kind of similar to the 9+ONE one aaand I like it..! The colour palette is pretty nice. All the colours and textures on the skirt make it really interesting, the dark red top is really pretty and I like the sleeves a lot too. Specially the lace one with the puffy shoulder and wrist. The heels on the picture are really nice too. As the Magia one, these are outfits I’d have liked to see more... At least they made it to the release events.

A runner up here was the “Believe” outfit. It’s beautiful! But since all the girls’ outfits were kind of similar there, I decided to go with these. I hope one day we get to see Keiko again singing and performing... She’s amaizing and shines when she’s on the stage... meanwhile, I hope her year has had a great start and she’s doing well :) And that’s a wrap for this PV/MV category!

Kalafina’s All Time Best Looks/Outfits Challenge ～ Hikaru’s Prints Looks

It’s been a while since my last post on this challenge. I know I always say that choosing favourites looks from the girls is not easy, but... is NOT easy... haha  Let’s start..!

Kalafina Live 2010 Red Moon Pamphlet

Old Kala-vibe quota: Check! This is a rather simple look, but it’s really cute. The satin-ish dark dress has a lot of work. All the pleats and layers on the skirt and the lace details on the upper part make it really interesting. And of course, there has to be a corset. The glove is a nice touch and the white on the head piece is a nice contrast to the overall dark look. Her hair looks beautiful here too.

Live The Best 2015 “Red Day & Blue Day” Pamphlet

There’s a lot of great looks of the girls around the “Red and Blue” albums and lives. I really like a lot of them. I like a lot how Hikaru’s upper body looks on this dress. All the embroidery on the upper part looks great and together with the long skirt is a very elegant look. The little lace sleeves are a cute detail and the silverish necklace looks great with all the red of the dress. It’d be nice if her bracelet matched the necklace, but, oh, well... I’ll let it go. I like her hair here too (this is fun to pronounce... XD)

Kalafina Calendar 2017

I’d like to have the chance to take a proper look of this dress since I’m guessing the lights and all the staging for the photoshoot enhanced it a lot here, but either way, it looks great. The neck/chest part together with the uncovered shoulders looks great on Hikaru, and I’m not sure how to say it, but the skirt and the sleeves being kind of the same thing looks awesome! I like a lot the contrast between the white parts with shiny details and the colourful patterns and translucence of the skirt.

Special mention:

Harmony Magazine Volumes

I just couldn’t leave these out. I’ve loved every Hikaru’s outfit featured on each Harmony Volume. The hair, the clothes, the make up (the Yukata, the Nana cosplay... there’s no way your heart didn’t skip a beat when red-lipstick-Hikaru appeared...)... even the casual clothes featured in some of her corners are great. I’m an absolute fan of Hikaru’s style, so, there.

To wrap up, I gotta say that Hikaru has a knack when it comes to be in front of a camera. Wether in lives or photoshoots, she is just great... a born performer. I really hope we get the chance to see some new stuff from her soon!!

Kalafina’s All Time Best Looks/Outfits Challenge - Official Lives Version

So, I already covered this during the 27 week challenge, but this time I’ll add some more.

~ Group ~

Far on the Water Live Interim Outfit:

This was an instant favorite of mine. Although we technically can’t count this outfit, because it was only worn for a very short time and a cover for the actual dresses, I wanted to include this one because of the idea behind it. This super shiny material together with the whole performance of “in every nothing” (which was just AMAZING) make them unique and show how much of great performers Kalafina were.

Arena Live 1st Outfit:

This kimono-style outfit is simply great. Again, more of a cover for the actual outfits of the concert, it can only be described as beautifully made and exceptional. I think it’s the first time they went for a more traditional japanese style and both “Alleluia” and “Hoshi no utai” were the perfect songs to underline that image.

9+ONE Live 1st Outfit:

Ah, 9+ONE, beautiful memories. I chose these dresses for this list, because not only was 9+ONE was my first real Kalafina concert, I just find them so very cute. Design-wise they are pretty much the same, yet each girl presents her dress very differently. I love the color choices, with those golden streaks and patterns connecting them all. I particularly like Hikaru’s, the blue is so bright and I really love it when she wears dresses that expose one of her shoulders.

Keiko - Red/Blue Day + After Eden

So for Keiko I had a hard time choosing outfits, because it’s often her dresses I don’t like so much (sorry girl, sometimes your skirt is just too short). However, her Red/Blue day dress (first one) really fit her well. I like that one side of the skirt is a bit longer than the other and I suuuuuper duper love her hair (with the hair behind the ear on one side) during both lives.

Her After Eden dress is also one of my favorites... I don’t really know why, she just rocks this outfits and again that exposed shoulder... xD

Hikaru - 10th Anniversary + Blue Day + Far on the water Live tour

Exposed shoulder to the fullest here. Hikaru seems to like that style because I have seen this quite a lot on her and she presents it so greatly. I took an instant liking to the 10th Anniversary dress, not only because I saw it “in real life”, I love that shiny silver/white color and the whole upper body part.

Same goes for her Blue Day outfit, that one side only strap, one side of the skirt longer than the other and this deep blue look great on her.

Also my favorite is the second (or third) Far on the Water dress. Not only is it in light purple (like my favorite Kalafina song), I just love the whole design of it.

Wakana - After Eden + 10th Anniversary + Red/Blue Day

So for Wakana, I went with the After Eden dress, pretty much for the same reasons as Keiko. I love her hair style and movements in that dress in general.

10th Anniversary is also in here, because I saw it myself and it is just beautiful. The Live DVD does not convey how shiny and sparkling it was, the white/golden colors and patterns, how it flattered her body and how natural she moved in it, it all made it the perfect dress for Wakana.

Lastly, her Red/Blue Day dress stands a bit out in terms of color. Yellow is far away from being my favorite color for dresses, but together with black and the golden stripes, she rocked that one.

Kalafina’s All Time Best Looks/Outfits Challenge ～ Wakana’s Prints Looks

I ended up choosing only monochromatic outfits this time, which is kind of sad since Wakana is so colourful hehe but I liked these a lot and there are 3 more categories left, so...

Kalafina Note ~5 Days in Boston~ 2009

First, her hair here looks great. I really like it. I said previously that I love Wakana with straight hair, but these kind of hairstyles goes hand on hand with it. As for the outfit, I think it looks quite casual, but really Kalafina-ish. The no-sleeves ruffle blouse and the short pleated skirt with tulle underneath give it the victorian vibe, the high boots and the belt the edgy/sexy part, plus the jacket gives it a nice elegant touch. Can’t help but liking it.

Photo Album Magia 2011

I love this outfit! It’s kind of similar to Hikaru’s 2014 Anime EXPO one I mentioned on a previous post. Looks like two different dresses overlapping, which is really cool. On one hand: black high boots, black tulle skirt, black corset, and this beautiful black I-don’t-know-how-to-call-it-neck-chest-thingy (If you know how is this called let me know. my vocabulary is not very wide when it comes to clothes. You probably noticed by now). And on the other hand, this white dress like piece with the longer back/side skirt. All this goes really well together.

10th Anniversary Pamphlet 2018

I think there can’t be anyone who dislikes this. Good Lord this is gorgeous...!! From the beginning it had some extra points because white clothes, straight hair... haha The silkiness and tightness of the whole thing really makes Wakana’s beautiful figure stand out and THAT clevage/scarf combo... !!! This is elegance and sensuality at their best! The stars are a cute detail, but everything else is just so good that I barely pay attention to them.

This challenge is killing me!! But it’s so nice to go through all this beautiful looks again (￣∇￣)

Kalafina’s All Time Best Looks/Outfits Challenge - Other Lives Version

~ Group ~

Animax 2014:

Please help me with this one, I only saw it during Animax 2014 (although only a short part, does someone have the whole performance on hand?) and I think they wore that dresses in their 2014 Live tour as well? Anyway, it’s those sashes that create a big contrast to the white, rather simple dresses that make the whole outfit so special. I just adore it (and mmmmmmm some exposed belly skin).

Anime Festival 2012

Again, another Hikaru exposing her shoulder. I love those outfits, because of the bright red and rather simple design, and yet each girl has her own charakteristic feature embedded here.

Commemorative Lives 2017

Ok, technically those don’t belong in this list, but in the PV one. However, the “far on the water” dresses were altered a bit with those long, glossy skirts, so I decided to put them here. They made it into my list, mainly because I saw them in real life during the Commemorative Live in Nikko (yes, I could actually see them very well this time). They were just perfect for this precious, amazing concert, which will forever have a place in my heart and I am so so so happy I got the very limited chance the attend it. And of course, the girls looked gorgeous in those dresses.

Wakana - Billboard Live 2017

This is such a lovely dress, I just had to pick this for Wakana. Although those little pompoms are a bit too much XD

Hikaru - Paris 2014

I think, that blue is my favorite part about this dress. It‘s so radiant and a big contrast to the white pieces. This collar thingy is a huge overkill though. Wakana’s version of the dress in Hikaru’s color would have been the best, but still Hikaru looks great in it xD

Keiko - Acoustic Tour 2016

I just love everything about Keiko’s dress, even though all three girls had gorgeous outfits for this acoustic tour. Keiko’s little sleeves, the transparent lower part, the beautiful flower patterns together with that beloved hairstyle of mine, simply great.

Kalafina’s All Time Best Looks/Outfits Challenge ～ Keiko’s Official Live Releases Looks

Just for fun, I’m gonna leave the rest of the PV/MV looks for later, and I’m gonna  go with a different girl on a different category hehe

Again, this is not easy at all... When I try to choose I come to realise how many looks I like and how much I like them... but at the moment, these are the ones I’m more into.

After Eden Special Live 2011

I tkink this look is rather simple, yet it has a propper amount of elegance and sexiness. The blouse is really nice and it looks great on Keiko and the corset and the layered mini skirt complement it very well. Besides, they give a bit of that victorian vibe so Kalafina like around that time. The high boots and the head piece look really nice too and the Black/White/Black colour combination, makes Keiko look like the most elegant and beautiful Oreo ever (Sorry. Couldn’t help it XD )

Live Tour 2015-2016 “Far on the Water“ Special Final ~Third Outfit (Encore)~

I pretty much like how white clothes look, so I really liked the girls dresses here. Is pretty common to see Keiko on skirts and dresses above the knee, so seeing her on this beautiful white pleated skirt was really nice for a change. I also loved both, the top and the jacket. I liked their designs and the jacket gave her this kind of brave/serious look that, for me, worked awesome with the flags thing, the song, and everything going on in that part of the FOTW live. The boots with all those sparkly details and the feather-ish headset looked great too.

Kalafina 9+ONE (2017) ~Second Outfit~

The opinions on these outfits are really polarised! haha but I liked Keiko’s outfit here. The different colours, textures and details make the dress really interesting, so there’s no much need of accesories, yet, there’s this tiny choker that I cannot stop liking... great detail hehe There’s also this dark shiny cape-like thing she wears with this, that gives the whole thing this... “theatrical” vibe, so to say... Like it a lot too.

I don’t know if I’m mistaken here, but I think we didn’t have many more opportunities to see the FOTW and 9+ONE outfits I put here. It’s a bit of a shame, but oh, well...

Little rant to finish up: The video played for the 9+ONE Magia performance should have been (or should be...? please?) released as an alternate PV... Over and out.

Kalafina’s All Time Best Looks/Outfits Challenge - PV Version

Hello! I have been enjoying the latest entries of this nice challenge quite a lot, so finally I can throw my opinions to everyone’s feed as well. I start with the MV/PV outfits :) Like with many others here, it’s quite hard to like each outfit of the girls in a certain PV, as for me too, there is often at least one outfit I don’t like and I could make a whole challenge about all the outfits I dislike (looking at you, second 9+ONE Hikaru outfit, second Consolation live tour outfits, “storia” and “yume no daichi” outfits). It was kind of a challenge to choose my favorite outfits... so enjoy xD

~ Group ~

“Into the World”

I am not the biggest fan of their white outfits usually, but these dresses just fit perfectly into the setting of the “into the world” PV. They are beautiful, the lace sleeves are gorgeous and even though the outfits look pretty much the same, it is great to see different patterns and details in each lace parts. I like Keiko’s small collar in particular. We can argue about those jackets in the beginning though and it’s a liiiittle bit of a pity that they gave Hikaru those big straps but not to the others, making her dress stand out. Just a minor thing though and it doesn’t affect the overall beauty of hers :D The PV itself is one their best (out of the ballad type songs), as well.

So, their black/dark outfits are usually among my favorites and the “blaze” outfit definitely is one of them. I love Keiko here in particular, the ponytail (which we don’t get to see that much in live performances etc.) is so cool, as well as Wakana with her hair open (which also doesn’t happen that much). The main color black supported with white and blue parts makes it look simple, but then again I always discover some new small details in their outfits and adds to the rather dark/cloudy mood in the PV.

Keiko - “One Light”

So, you get it, right? Black dresses are my thing. I love the “One Light” PV because of its speed and energy and those super special shots of the girls. Keiko’s dress is my favorite among the three in there, it’s doesn’t have too many accesories (which is usually a minus for me), the small sleeves and the big buttons along with the golden touch of the half-transparent skirt and Keiko’s coolness, great :)

Wakana - “Kimi no Gin no Niwa”

Ah, those outfits are all so cute, but I think Wakana has the prettiest outfit. Never took a liking in Keiko’s dress and while Hikaru is also so very cute, I think Wakana is the best looking one.

Hikaru - “Magia” Ok, how can this be NOT everyone’s favorite Hikaru version? Not only is “Magia” her song, she just rocks this outfit and PV. Her actions, expressions and movements are all so powerful and this outfit makes her look like a dominant bitch and I LOVE IT xD “Magia” (along with “Hyakka Ryouran” and “Märchen”) is very unique compared to the other music videos, you know, because those are often anime songs or slow ballads, where they are glued to their positions with only the camera angle changing and it is pretty much THE ONLY ONE that doesn’t feature Keiko in the middle/main position.

THE BEST Blue Day 2015

I think many of us agree that the Blue and Red Day outfits of all the girls are amazing. That being said, Wakana looks great on this dress. The blue/black combination, the shiny fabric, the golden embroideries, the belt, the shiny stones, the big buttons... there are just so many details here that make this dress so startling... The uneven skirt looks really cool and since Wakana’s shoulders/collarbones are one of my favourite features of hers, the uncovered shoulder is a plus... The jacket is really beautiful too, although I’m not quite sure about the sleeves... oh, well... trifles...

9+ONE 2017

In my dreams’ goods, there’s a Kalafina music box, with a little Ballerina-Wakana spinning around wearing this. The colours look great, and now that I think about it, the dress design with all those gold joints, reminds me a lot of the “kintsugi“ thing, which I find absolutely cool and, together with the tulle skirt, makes her look much more as a beautiful porcelain figure and makes me want the music box with ballerina-Wakana even more XD She looks beatuful with her hair tied back.

10th Anniversary Live 2018

White, good. Long skirt, good. Hair tied back, good. Wakana’s figure looks amazing here, the golden embroidery is amazing and all those who got the chance to see this live, say that the camera doesn’t do it justice. If I like it so much even if I didn’t had  the chance to see it in its maximum splendor, then this really deserves a place among my favourites.

Going through some of the lives to see this dresses made me feel quite nostalgic... Yet I’m happy to know that right know, Wakana is in the middle of her tour, and there are some lucky people seeing her performing and shining on the stage as she usually does. I hope it keeps going well and some more pictures of her outfits come out after the tour is done... :D

Kalafina’s All Time Best Looks/Outfits Challenge ～ Hikaru’s Other Live Appearences Looks

Again, different girl, different category

This is not getting any easier... In this category there’s so much to choose from... and I really like various of Hikaru’s outfits... Oh, well... Let’s start anyways...

KSnSnW release event 2010

While I was looking through outfits for this post, I immediatly fell in love with this one. Is really simple, but sooo Kalafina. Long black victorian-ish skirt, flowers pattern corset with black lace and a nice black collar/tie thingy. The hairstyle is also simple, but looks really great. Its one of those cute looks that makes you think that Hikaru is the sweetiest thing ever, just to be completely mind blown by the strength of her perfomance. I have no idea if she used this outfit in any other ocassion, but if so, please send pictures!!

Anime EXPO in France 2014

I know Hikaru wore this outfit for some other events, but Anime Expo is the one that comes to mind (and the picture is from there). Just as the previous one, it was love at first sight. I already mentioned that I love white clothes and this is no exception, plus the contrast with this dark aquamarine part of the dress and the gold buttons is just great. The petal-like texture of the dress is really interesting, I like a lot the cut of the whole thing, and the neck part is such a beautiful detail. The ankle boots and the fluffy white bracelet just completes it nicely. As a bonus, I think Hikaru’s hair length around this time was perfect! I could go on, but bottomline: LOVE this.

Music Fair 2015

This is a really pretty dress too. That blue colour is really nice, and I like how the stripes crossing over the sparkly black upper part of the dress look. The different lengths and shades of the skirt layers look great (can’t be seen in the picture. Sorry). I like this long-on-one-side thing. I think it gives it this classy/cute contrast to the look (which is so Hikaru). Again the ankle boots look great with those sparkly details.

Hikaru has so much variety in her repertoire when it comes to looks (these ones are not so different though XD ). She’s the one that has changed her hair the most of all three girls and I think, correct me if I’m wrong, she’s the only one that has included pants into her outfits (at least pants that look like pants XD ). So, for me, this challenge is specially fun (AND HARD!) when it comes to her.

Kalafina’s All Time Best Looks/Outfits Challenge ～ Keiko’s Other Lives Looks

Well, I guess Keiko’s outfits I like the most are in other categories, so choosing here was not THAT hard... yet I’m really curious about other opinions here. Let’s go...

Morph Live “Fairytale” 2009

I think the colours are what I like the most here. The white top looks really good together with the black collar-thing and the black corset,and I reaaally like the black/red striped skirt. I think is not very common for the girls to wear this stripe patterns (at least not on their performing outfits) or at least not that I can recall ATM... Anyways, this is a kind of simple outfit, but it still has that old Kala-vibe many of us like.

Animax 2014

It’s white, which means I like it by default. The upper body part is quite tight, so it makes Keiko’s figure stand out nicely, plus the translucent spots on her abdomen and collarbones are more than sexy enough. The flowy, layered, uneven skirt is really nice, and all the sparkly details al over the dress together with the red ribbon looks really good. The cape-like-thing on her back looks good too.

Kalafina with Strings Christmas Live 2016

I absolutely love the look of a traditional chinese dress this one has. The yellow-ish flower patterns look great over the black dress and the translucent long skirt over the short one, is a really nice detail. The tulle like collar part is pretty cute too. I’d have liked to see some footage of a live with this... well, actually, these dresses... Wakana’s and Hikaru’s are beautiful too.

Well, there goes another one... these posts make me feel a bit nostalgic... I hope Keiko is doing great and I hope we could have some news about her before the year ends...

Kalafina’s All Time Best Looks/Outfits Challenge ～ Hikaru’s PV/MV Looks

Well... I think this was the easiest of Hikaru’s categories, since I really love a lot of her non-PV-related outfits. And I was thinking on not choosing the obvious ones since it’d be nice to see some variation from other challenge entries, but I think I ended up not doing it... haha Anyways...

Hikari no Senritsu (2010)

Honestly, is not that I really love this look, but I find it quite interesting. Hikaru looks like a doll here and the look is full of details. The black/red collar, the white blouse (I’m not sure if its part of the dress or not) with the flower-ish designs, those kind of black leg warmers and the yellow dress with the layered skirt and all those pleated parts. Kind of keeps the old Kalafina-vibe somehow. Also, those little strands of wavy hair are really eye-catching. The video is really colourful and the girls look quite happy going around with the instruments, so I guess that also made me pick this one here.

One light (2015)

You cannot dislike badass Hikaru. I know there’s a lot of badass Hikaru’s looks, but I’m just fond of this one. Is kind of cool since it’s like they took a regular black dress, whit some already nice patterns and lace details, and through some additions, they turned it into this rocking outfit. The silver skirt-like thingy, the shoulder pads, the black and silver-ish straps under the translucent fabric in the collarbones area and the always great-looking-on-Hikaru black leather glove. Great. Simply great. That’s it.

Into the world (2017)

I think the girls here set the bar reaaaally high for any bride... XD White long dress, which gives instant points for me. The lace details over the translucent fabric looks good, and I don’t know about you but I like the jacket too. The cut is really nice, the one-button thing looks great and I like the lace-like loose sleeves too. And Hikaru trying to cope with her hair on the wind is the cutest thing ever

There goes another one! I don’t like the looks here only, but Hikaru herself in the MV’s. I’ve always loved seeing how her calm, introverted self transforms into this breathtaking diva when she’s in front of a camera or standing on a stage... Such an amazing personality.

『Kalafina’s All Time Best 』Looks/Outfits Challenge idea

So, I was looking back into some Kala-stuff and in the middle of me admiring some of their different looks, the “Kalafina All Time Best” release announcement came up.

Then I thought, “Hey, maybe we can turn this into something fun” and the idea of this “challenge“ came to mind.

The idea is to choose your all time favourite looks or outfits of each one of the girls. But since choosing just one seems a bit too… impossible, I thought of making it a top 3 for each girl and in different categories:
