Hi your writing is amazing! I’m kind of a sucker for angst and also Kai so I was wondering if you could do a oneshot where the reader gets hurt or captured and he rage monster mode against whoever did it

Ninjago - Kai Sees You Get Hurt

You swung high. They swung low. With a painful oof escaping your lips, you toppled, clutching your side.

You attempted to stand up to chase your escaping opponent, but you stumbled back over before you were even off your knees. You hissed, holding your wound with one hand and pounding the concrete with the other.

In a moment you felt a hand on your back.

“Y/n?! What happened?” Kai’s voice, laced with concerned urgency, filled your ears.

You lifted your head to look at him. As you rose his eyes landed on your wound, and you saw rage flash in his warm brown eyes.

“Who did this to you.” The emotion had dropped from his tone at once. There was no indication in his voice, but from the way his face hardened you knew he was fuming.

Your eyes unintentionally flicked to the person running away down the street, but you quickly returned your gaze to Kai’s. It was enough. He had caught your little look, and that gave him all he needed to know.

He stood up.

“Kai, wait—”

He held up his hand to silence you. In another second he was gone, bolting like lightning after the escapee. You watched with gritted teeth, unsure whether to worry about him or your wound at the moment.

“Y/n, are you wounded?” Zane’s voice now sounded from beside you. You nodded, moving your hand to let him look at the wound. Without a word he began his work, allowing you to watch the scene unfold a few hundred feet away.

Kai was much faster than his target. He was upon them in less than a minute, and both forms turned into one as he tackled them to the ground. You saw them tumble for a moment before stopping with Kai pinning the other to the ground. You saw him raise his fist high, then—

A sharp gasp escaped you when Zane sprayed your wound suddenly with cold water. Your gaze dropped to the wound.

“Sorry.”

“No, that’s okay.” You elected to watch Zane work to avoid any more such surprises.

You didn’t look up again until you heard ragged breathing growing closer.

It was Kai. His cheeks were flushed with exertion. His limbs were stiff. He dropped to his knees before you, reaching out with a bruised hand to touch your face. You told yourself that the sticky dampness was just sweat.

“Are you okay, my love?” He panted, his gentle voice juxtaposed by his obviously offensive body language.

You nodded, leaning into his hand. You leaned a little further, trying to see around him. You wanted to catch a glimpse of his opponent, but you were stopped when his other hand—also damp with “sweat”—took the other side of your face and held your head still.

“Don’t worry about that guy,” Kai said with a knowing grin. “I took care of him.”

Then, turning to Zane, he asked rather professionally if you’d be okay. Zane nodded, reporting his own assessment of the wound. While they chatted you couldn’t help but try and look at the guy again. You caught the tiniest glimpse of a dark heap on the ground before Kai lifted you bridal style, making you yelp in surprise.

“I told you not to worry about him.” Kai pressed a kiss onto your temple. “He got what he deserved.”

Hearing police sirens at last, you nodded, deciding that if he was really hurt the police would call an ambulance.

“I can walk,” you offered.

“Just let me hold you.”

Coming away from the ordeal, he was just relieved to have you back in his arms, safe. But not unharmed. That part irked him. He had more than returned the favor to the one responsible, but he still felt guilty that he wasn’t there to protect you in the first place.

You could read it all on his face. “Don’t blame yourself,” you murmured, tucking a strand of brown hair behind his ear. “I’m okay.”

He let out a long breath. You saw his features soften, and a little smile came to his lips. “Yeah.” You felt his grip tighten around you. “You’re safe now.”

Theres two ways Lloyd could go about having a crush.

Pre Harumi he's pretty oblivious to it, if you dont confess first, he needs Kai to figure it out for him.

Post Harumi he's having a panic attack.

On one hand, he likes you- and he knows you. You wouldnt be anything like Harumi.

On the other hand, that's what he thought about her, too.

Either way, once he comes to terms with his feelings, hes like a puppy.

Hes following you around 24/7.

He thinks hes slick.

He is not.

Kind of guy brush his hand against yours while walking thinking hes being smooth with it, but hes so red in the face you think hes sick and take him home.

But you wanted to take care of him, he considers that a win.

Generally, he prefers to be near you. Not necessarily clinging, but always sort of hovering.

Ninja or not, he wants to keep you safe.

Goes out of his way to impress you.

Not well, but he tries.

Showing off during training, not very subtley bragging, ect.

With anyone else it would come off as self absorbed, but hes so flustered while he does it that it becomes endearing.

If he does manage to get some kind of physical affection from you, hes a mess.

Hold his hand while you walk down the street, you'll be able to feel his hand heat up.

He stammers. He'll be explaining something so well until you walk into a room. Then hes tripping over every other word.

All in all, it's pretty obvious when he has a crush, at least after he figures it out himself. And once kai catches on, you wont have to wait long before hes a mess trying to ask you out.

It's very private. He'll pull you aside, make sure theres no one around. Hes very nervous, he barely manages to get his words out. You'll probably have to say it for him, but it's very sweet. He just thinks you're the coolest person.

Hes the opposite of lloyd. No stammering or panicking.

Hes all over you.

He'll always have an arm around you, or a hand on your shoulder. He loves touching you.

Hes warm. Really, really warm.

On cold nights he'll jokingly offer to share a bed with you and 'keep you warm.'

Whenever you two are alone, hes a bit more awkward. Lots of clearing his throat, shifting his weight around. He doesnt want to make you uncomfortable- and that leads to overthinking.

It's kind of funny- he'll go from clinging to your side to anxiously standing on the other side of the room.

Please reassure him, he needs it.

If you do let him know you dont mind his clinging, hes right back to being all over you- but when you're alone, hes a bit softer about it.

An arm around your shoulders turns into warm hugs. A hand on your back turns into holding hands. Alone, he treats you like you're the most precious thing in the world.

It actually takes him a little bit to build up the nerve to confess. He likes you. Not a one off flirtation, he really, really likes you.

Prepare to be romanced. Before he confesses, hes sweeping you off your feet. Dinner, picnic, movie, whatever your ideal date is, hes got it covered. He gets dressed up and everything.

But once the 'outing' ends, hes very sweet. Any cockiness in his voice dissapears as he tells you how he feels. You're amazing, and he doesn't want to mess it up.

He REALLY wants to impress you. You're so cool, so obviously you'd go for a cool guy- right?

Hes being a showboat, flexing his muscles, showing off inventions, and stammering over himself as he tries to impress you.

You know when birds puff out their feathers? Think that, but the bird promptly falls on its face.

He just really wants you to like him.

But when he stops trying to impress you? Hes the sweetest person in the world.

Constant check ups. If you've been unusually quiet, he'll ask if you're okay. You look tired? Hes got snacks and drinks on the ready.

But if you have a really crappy day, you'll find him in your room, offering conversation, distraction, whatever you need.

He might as well already be your boyfriend.

He adores you. Every inch. If he catches you talking had about yourself he'll be on a rant about how amazing you are for the next twenty minutes.

He doesnt even actually have to confess- you can figure it out from that alone.

But if he DID confess, he tries really hard to do it right. He wants to take you out, sweep you off your feet- but you end up just staying home and playing video games.

He just sort of blurts it out. Very loudly, and very quickly. You almost miss what he says. But If you do catch it- and agree to go out with him- you're not leaving his arms any time soon. The next hour is him gushing about you as he peppers your face with kisses.

Hes not stupid- he knows about romance, but he has a hard time realizing it's something that's going on with him.

It's never been his thing- so when he realizes how he feels, hes pretty quick to tell you.

But before he figures it out, hes always helping you carry things.

Like, a weird amount

Carrying boxes? Hes got it. Groceries? Five bags in each hand. A book? Well, he doesn't mind taking it off your hands.

Physical touch? Words of affirmation? No, his love language is carrying things.

This includes you. If you hurt yourself training, or step off a curb, he doesnt think twice about carrying you.

Until he figures out he likes you. Then he thinks about it alot.

He gets into whatever music you're into. Anything. You can play the trashiest pop song in the world, and he would love it, just because you liked it.

When he does confess, hes very to the point about it. He just sort of says it. Not the most romantic thing in the world, but it manages to be sweet, coming from him.

Although if you tell him you like him back, he let's out the biggest sigh of relief. He was STRESSING, but he wouldnt let you know that.

Clocked it immediately.

Hes seen enough of other people's relationships to know what hes feeling. His hesitance comes more from trying to figure out why he feels the way he does.

He's a nindroid- should he be able to feel this way? He can feel everything else, why wouldnt he? But should he? Would being with him even be a fulfilling relationship for you?

He spends the next week doing research. How to be a good partner, how to go about confessing, how to express his affection, he becomes a walking boyfriend wikihow.

Hes confident. Hes done his research, he knows what hes doing. So, he takes you to a romantic setting- some kind of secluded park or somewhere else with nice scenery. He thinks hes ready to tell you- then he looks at you. Hes always thought you were nice to look at- but now? He thought you were stunning.

He essentially short circuits.

You have to ask him if hes okay a few times before he gathers himself, and manages to very formally get the words out.

It's her love language.

You will not have a moment of peace around this woman.

But her teasing is really her way of letting you know that she notices the small things about you. The way you wear your hair, the way you sit, the way your posture changes when you're tired- she notices.

Once in a blue moon, you'll be tired enough for her to lay off- the teasing replaced with her looking after you, making sure people leave you alone. She can be very sweet when she wants to be.

The longer she likes you, the more prone to the sweet side she is. A part of her wants to out right tell you, but the other part wants to keep things the way they are- she doesn't want to risk losing the sweeter moments you had.

She's faced a good bit of loss in her life, she doesn't want to add you to the list.

Eventually, once again thanks to Kai, she spits it out. She tries to do the romantic date thing- but it turns into a choir of teasing and giggles. She confesses through her laughter. Its adorable. She freezes when she realizes what she did- but then she repeats it, letting you know she meant it.

A shy smile would reach his lips, placing a hand on my face to hide his reddened face. Even though he just stood around the corner and caught the words, his heart would swoon overwhelmingly. Tears would serfise around the bottom lashes, overjoyed to hear his own lover saying such sweet words about him.

Doing a silent celebration dance to himself, knowing he'd use it against you later as black mail or reference if he felt it was appropriate. On the more serious side, it did make him feel genuinely cared for, which meant he'd make even more effort to show how much he truly did care for you.

“How dare you? Take this." Cole took the flour that was laying on the counter, grabbed some from the packet and tossed it into your face.

“Cole..! Stop!" You squealed, shielding your face with your arms.

“Nuh uh, you are going to face my flour wrath, (Name)!" He persisted, continuing to shower you with flour until you managed to wrestle the packet from him. Soon, both of you were engaged in a flour war, filling the kitchen with laughter.

“Of course, dear. We don't want your boo-boo to worsen, do we?" His ears turned pink at your pet name as you dabbed antiseptic on a cloth.

“It's just a cut, (Name)! I don't want to go through all this," Jay pleaded as you brought the cloth closer to him. You looked at him sympathetically,

“Exactly, it's just a cut, so why are you so scared?" You paused, a playful glint in your eye, "Aren't you supposed to be my brave boyfriend?" Jay's expression softened, a grin spreading across his face,

“You're right! I am your brave boyfriend!" he proclaimed proudly. You grinned as you brought the cloth to his cheek.

He winced softly at the burning sensation before the feeling got replaced with your delicate fingers. You applied a Thomas the Train band-aid to his cut and swiftly placed a small kiss on your boyfriend’s cheek, “There you go, your boo-boo is all better now,”

“Thanks doc,” Jay said, his smile cheesy and so incredibly contagious that it brought a smile to your own lips. His bright brown eyes staring into yours as though you were a delicately painted painting, simply a work of art for him to stare at. You cusp his cheek as you both continue staring at each other, you caressed his soft yet warm skin under your fingertips,

“I love you, Jay," you spoke softly. He grinned cheekily, his cheeks lightly dusted pink at your words.

"Well, I love you more!" he retorted playfully.

“No, I love you more," you countered.

“Nope! I love you the most mostful and mostest!" he declared, pulling you into a tight hug and nuzzling his head into your neck. As you let out a small giggle he whispered into your ear,

After enduring the agonizing training, you found yourself sprawled on the floor, Kai, your boyfriend of two months, grinning down at you, his weapon by his side.

His sweat-dampened hairs framed his face as he leaned closer to tease you, but suddenly, his playful smirk fell. He tumbled forward, landing directly on top of you. He muttered a curse as his eyes locked with yours, and your breath hitched. You both were merely centimeters between each other and in that moment, you swore the world seemed to stand still.

"Hey, sweetheart," he whispered, his voice soft and gentle, “Seems like I fell for you,”

"Hi Kai," you snickered, finding his attempt at being flirty endearing. "Seems like I caught you."

"Sorry about that," Kai chuckled, rolling off to lie beside you on the dojo floor. Together, you gazed up at the ceiling, embracing the silence in the room, until you couldn't resist stealing a glance at his side profile. Holding back the urge to caress his face, you traced the features with your eyes. You met his gaze as his smirked, his eyes staring into yours knowingly.

He wiggled his eyebrows playfully as he teased you, "Like what you see, sweetheart?"

"I love it," you whispered sweetly, brushing a strand of his hair before meeting his eyes again. "I love all of you."

Kai froze, his confident demeanor crumbling as a blush painted his cheeks. His face turning as bright as his gi. His face faltering into a slight frown.

“You don't mean that," his voice dropped low into a whisper, insecurity lacing his words. You could tell he was feeling incredibly vulnerable.

"Of course I do," you promised him, a gentle smile gracing your lips as you stare into his crestfallen eyes, “I love you Kai.”

He stared into your face, trying to decipher if you were truly being genuine with him. His face brightened up as he realized you were. A sly grin returned to Kai's face, but his eyes held a warmth that made your body melt. He grabbed your hand from your side and put it up to his lips,

“I love you too, sweetheart."

Lloyd woke abruptly, his body drenched in sweat, heart pounding against his chest as his nightmare caught up to him. They’ve begun appearing more frequently the last couple of years… His eyes darted anxiously around the room, paranoia lingering in his gaze.

“Lloyd?” You whispered, concern lacing your voice, you could barely see him though the darkness.

"Sorry for waking you, darling," he murmured back, his voice quivering. Sitting up, you touch his trembling arm softly,

“Another bad dream?” you asked. The boy didn’t vocalize his thoughts but instead turned to you to nod his head at you like a sad puppy.

"You're okay, Lloyd," you reassured him soothingly, you brushed a strand of his sweat drenched hair away from his troubled face.

“You’re okay,” you repeated, wrapping your arms around him. You felt him crumble beneath your touch, he sunk into your chest as he stared into your eyes. Searching them for reassurance. You begun playing with his blonde locks, a soft hum escaping your lips. You stole a glance at him. The moonlight cast a gentle glow upon his face, revealing the subtle contours of his gentle features. His eyes closed, his breath steadying into a rhythmic pattern,

"Lloyd?" you whispered, uncertainty lacing your voice. There was no response, only the soft sound of his breathing filling the room. Did he already fall back to sleep? You paused, carefully staring down at his face,

“Well, good night Lloyd... I love you," you murmured softly, turning your gaze towards the window.

Unseen by you, a small smile graced his lips, a ghost of a whisper that you unfortunately didn’t pick up,

“I love you too,”

You sighed softly as you slipped into your gi, the weight of your mission pressing against your shoulders even before the sun had fully risen. With your weapon at your side, you gazed out at the horizon, thinking about the mission you had to do. It was a task that demanded your immediate attention, one that couldn't wait for the rest of the ninja to stir from their slumber.

As you prepared to summon your elemental dragon, a familiar voice yelled out to you,

"(Name)! Wait!" Your girlfriend, Nya, still in her Spiderman pajamas, dashed towards you with urgency in her step,

“Nya? What’s wrong?" you asked, concern knitting your brow.

"Nothing! I just wanted to say goodbye to you before you left," she replied, quickly kissing you on the cheek. A warmth spread through you at her touch, a feeling of comfort and belonging that only she could ignite.

"Bye (Name)," she said, her smile gentle, but then she hesitated, a flicker of uncertainty crossing her features.

“What’s up?” you prompted, curious about the sudden change in her facial expression.

With a sheepish grin, Nya shook her head and presented you with a basket of food. "I um... I also wanted to give you this basket of food. I didn’t want you to be hungry while on your mission, so take it as your breakfast... I mean it’s obviously not going to be as great as Zane’s cooking, I’m sure—"

You interrupted her rambling by accepting the basket with gratitude, your heart swelling with affection for her thoughtful gesture,

“Thank you, Nya,” You stared into her eyes in adoration. Sincerity seeping through your words.

"Of course! Stay safe, (Name)!" Nya beamed, her happiness contagious as she pulled you into a quick one-armed hug.

"Bye Nya, love you," you said absentmindedly, your focus already shifting towards the task at hand as you climbed onto your dragon's back. You weren’t paying attention to her flustered behavior.

Lost in your thoughts, you barely registered the muffled noise at your door until it creaked open, revealing the analytical gaze of the ice ninja, Zane,

"Forgive me for interrupting, but I heard sounds of frustration and thought I would offer my assistance," he said, his voice calm and measured.

You managed a weak smile at his considerate gesture. "It's not a problem, I've just hit a roadblock," you admitted, gesturing helplessly towards the computer screen.

"I see no genuine roadblock, do you perhaps mean that figuratively?" Zane inquired, his literal interpretation of your words drawing a chuckle from you. As he approached your desk and effortlessly began typing away at the keyboard, you watched in awe as he swiftly completed the research paper that had been taunting you for hours,

"I believe this should suffice in terms of information. All that's left is to write your conclusion," he remarked, turning towards you with a straightforward expression.

You were dumbfounded by his efficiency, unable to believe he had solved your problem in mere minutes,

“You didn't have to do that!" you exclaimed, your gratitude tinged with surprise.

"I was simply assisting you," Zane replied, his tone neutral, mistaking your reaction for displeasure. You rose from your seat suddenly and enveloped him in a grateful hug,

"Thank you, Zane. I love you," you murmured against his shoulder.

For a moment, there was silence as Zane processed your words, his expression unreadable. Slowly, he brought his arms back up to exchange the hug,

☆ ┈ In my vision, Yuzhao won't hesitate to tear off the hands of those roamers who tried to touch Lloyd, mostly because he near to him so he don't need to strain his lazy ass.

☆ ┈ He stays close to you and doesn't get into fights with roamers that often. If he does, it's most likely because Lloyd saw one of roamers attacking someone from the team (ahem ahem, KAI???) and you better to hurried to help them because they have a bad times..

☆ ┈ The only reason she's going to get out is because you noticed that you haven't seen her for a long time. Unlike a ninja, you can easily navigate the 1.5 Realm, so you find her quickly.

☆ ┈ She's on the verge of having her face chewed off, beating up a roamer that trying to bite into her flesh while you stand aside and are like, "heyy, do you need help or I can go-"

☆ ┈ You approach to them anyway and kick roamer, causing them to fly far away to space.

☆ ┈ Since you want to lie down and rest, and not watch her, hoping that she will not be devoured, you take Nya by the scruff of the neck and go to Wu and Garmadon to leave her in their care.

☆ ┈ At first, she's resists and freaks out from this, demanding that you let her go, but over time she gets tired of it and just silently follows you.

☆ ┈ While you grumble at her that if something happens to her, Wu and Garmadon will probably blame him, Nya remains silent, only frowning at your grumbling.

☆ ┈ When you find them, you just hand her over to Master Wu. He doesn't say anything, but he can't give you a questioning look.

☆ ┈ You return to your rest without worrying about anything, before after some time realizing that Jay were not with Wu and Garmadon.

☆ ┈ Damn.

— JAY:

☆ ┈ He got lost by a true accident :(

☆ ┈ Jay probably just followed the others, complaining that you could help them but you don't, and at some point realizes that he doesn't know where the others are.

☆ ┈ He really panics a lot, because he most likely managed to see the tramps and the thought of running into one of them scares him. He wanders through endless labyrinths of passages and constantly mumbles about something between nervous laughter in an attempt to calm himself, praying that he would come out to the group back.

☆ ┈ Instead, to his surprise, he hears your disgruntled babble after..How much time has passed there? An hour, two?

☆ ┈ Anyway, he runs at your voice as fast as he can, and eventually crashes into you.

☆ ┈ You look at him like he's an idiot and ask him why he's even walking around here instead of going with the others, because it's safer that way.

☆ ┈ He tells you a whole tirade about how he got lost and how he wandered through the corridors, running away from the howling of tramps nearby, while you listened to him with a bored face before grinning.

☆ ┈ You decide not to make fun of him too much, although you make a couple of sharp comments in his direction, which, although he frowns, he ignores, so that he does not want you to leave him here.

☆ ┈ You take Jay to where you last saw the others while you both chat. Jay asks you why you can't just take them out, to which you tell him that you need to work hard to find a way out yourself, and since Wu and Garmadon are already trying to find a way out, you don't worry and just wait for them to get the result.

☆ ┈ (I don't think it's that easy to get out of there, but that's just a guess okay :p )

☆ ┈ In the end, Jay also stays with Wu, and unlike Nya, he won't try to leave. He just happy that you two didn't meet any roamer.

— KAI:

☆ ┈ Another ninja who has a lot of tussles with roamers.

☆ ┈ Mostly because he starts yelling at the roamers to get away from him if they start getting close to him, and eventually they attack him.

☆ ┈ Despite the fact that he occasionally gets involved in fights, Kai (surprisingly) manages to stay alive after them without any help.

☆ ┈ I just imagine that roamers are afraid/dislike fire. Well, like, I don't think there's a lot of light in 1.5 Realm, considering that it's literally a huge cave, and Kai is a walking torch.

☆ ┈ He will most likely either wander around the cave near the main group, so as not to be left alone, but also not to sit idle. He enjoys your company now more than ever. Let's assume that you were released before the fifth season, so you have already managed to become friends..

☆ ┈ He will probably be sitting somewhere with you and chatting. However, although he will spend most of his time with you, he will spend the other part trying to survive in a fight with roamers.

☆ ┈ In the 1.5 Realm, it will smell like fried rotten meat for a longtime...

☆ ┈ Kai is trying to joke so as not to worry about the situation, but he must admit that inside he is panicking. In short, it both brings you problems and does not.

— MASTER WU & MASTER GARMADON:

☆ ┈ I didn't have the slightest idea how to get Garmadon in here, but thanks to Morro, the scene from season 5 where Lloyd met his father in the Cursed Realm came to mind.

☆ ┈ As I wrote earlier, let's pretend that Lloyd was able to free him, even if I'm not sure how.

☆ ┈ Wu, and, you will have to admit that you're too, are shocked that the one you thought was gone forever is now standing in front of you.

☆ ┈ While they're hugging, you have to stand aside because Garmadon doesn't show any desire to greet you. (you don't give a damn about it and you're still attacking him, trying to get greeting too)

☆ ┈ Even if they end up in the 1.5 Realm, they'll probably be the calmest, although they'll still worry about other ninjas..

☆ ┈ ..Although, let's be honest, Garmadon will be more concerned about Lloyd.

☆ ┈ He has nothing against other ninjas, but in the end, when you're cursed to eternal torment, and then your son manages to free you and you're thrown into another world, it's a bit stressful, don't you think?

☆ ┈ I imagine how you will rush around Garmadon, asking him to tell you what it's like to be in the Cursed Realm, while he stands with a stone face and ponders whether to punch you in the face or not.

☆ ┈ I hope you won't mind little headcanon? I truly believe that Master Wu was practically a father figure to Morro, and he considered him as such, and this can partly explain his malice..

☆ ┈ BUT HE'S EVEN ANGRIER AT WU'S ENEMIES, and to your annoyance, he thinks you are. Like, well, he probably heard from Wu that you were acquainted, and if you hadn't been sealed yet when he was alive, then he knows you all the more.

☆ ┈ Morro probably sincerely believes that you could have betrayed Master Wu, which is why you left and, in fact, were imprisoned. I don't think he knows the details of why you were locked up, and after spending several years in the Cursed Realm, I'm more than sure that his gaze on the things can be significantly distorted.

☆ ┈ I think Morro values Wu, even if he's mad as hell at him. It's like he's on the edge between hate and love. And since he thinks you betrayed Wu, he can't stand you, you're probably the second person he hates after Lloyd. And imagine that during his wanderings through the 1.5 Realm, he accidentally meets you.

☆ ┈ He's disgusted with you, to put it mildly, and he's either trying to hurt you so that you leave on your own, or he'll try to leave on his own.

☆ ┈ Morro, by the way, can attack other ninjas, so leaving him unattended will cause you more trouble.

☆ ┈ Perhaps there is a chance that he will make concessions, but it is unlikely. Only if Wu manages to persuade him, and even that is a slim chance. So there are two ways out: either Morro will take your side, albeit reluctantly, or he will silently follow you until you and the ninja find a way out.

You hear the door unlock as the doorknob turns, “geez Lloyd you’re becoming just as bad as kai” you sass crossing your arms shifting your weight from one foot to the other grinning as you waited for Lloyd to come out. 

“What can I say, I have a girl to impress~” Lloyd teases as he opens the door his hand on the door while his other held the door frame. 

You stop for a second as you take in his appearance, why did this man not have a shirt on?

Lloyd exhales through his nose a soft smile on his face as he enjoyed your cute face, praising you with a kiss on your waiting lips. He leans in to deepen the kiss as you hummed into the taste of mint, you both pull away sharing a sigh as your face settled with pink blush eyes sparkling from adoration for the blushing man holding you.

You searched around the Monastery for your boyfriend Kai, Nya invited you to hang out before called for a solo mission, wishing her safety she said that you should go talk to her brother who was training.

“I don’t think I’ll ever get use to this place” you comment to yourself as you opened a sliding door to find a meditation room. Luckily no one inside, you huff as you close the door, you’ve been searching for what felt like forever. With no luck you decided to try waiting out for Kai in his room, making your way there you run into Cole having a towel over his shoulders patting his sweaty forehead. 

“Hey Cole” you smile politely walking over to the earth ninja, “Oh hey (y/n), you lookin’ for Kai?” Cole asks as he returns your smile. You nod scratching the back of your head, “Your home is so big with so many doors, I’m surprised you guys don’t get lost” you joke as Cole snickers. “Eh, you get used to it” he points behind him to the end of the hallway with two big sliding doors, “He’s out on the court, just got finished his training actually” Cole looks back to your grateful expression.  “Thanks Cole, cya later!” you walk to the sliding doors after Cole waved you off continuing his way, you open the doors as the afternoon heat greeted you. 

You look around to see dummies and training equipment with Kai in a fighting stance, you slowly slide the doors closed as you watch him not wanting to be a distraction as you go to sit on the steps. 

Kai’s fists were tightly closed as you followed the lines of his muscles of his sleeveless shirt flexing as he gives quick and powerful blows to the spinning equipment. The planks come back around as Kai quickly blocks the quick turning equipment with his arms, grunts slip from his lips after every blow he gave. His eyebrows scrunched as sweat drops from his brow, you watched as he moved, he was so strong. Soon the equipment starts to get faster from each hit that Kai gave, he then uses one of the bottom planks to push himself up into the air performing a backwards flip as he lands on his feet as the equipment spins. 

You look to Kai in amazement at his skill you were starting to realize that watching Kai train was starting to become your favorite activity. 

Noticing the way Kai’s healed scars on his muscle would tense and release as he grabbed heavy objects, wishing it was you, and continued with his training for a little while. Kai threw the weights down as a sigh escapes his lips finally taking a break. He starts to fan himself using his tank top, letting out a breathy laugh Kai looks to you with a teasing glint.

“How long d’you wanna stare?” his exhausted deep voice sounded like heaven, “Huh!” you finally pop out from your thoughts ripping away from his glorious, scared face and arms. 

“Wh-Whatever~” You look away embarrassed a smile creeping it’s way on your red cheeks, Kai starts making his way towards you.

“Was my sister too boring~ Did you need me to entertain you, bunny~?” You look to his cheeky smirk with an unamused grin, “ha-ha, aren’t you hilarious~” you joke as you turn away from your boyfriend. “I was just coming to hang out with you since Nya had a mission, but since your busyyy” you go to walk away with an expectant reaction from Kai to pull you back into his sweaty body. Oh boy was that a mistake.

You gag as you inhale his very worked out body odor, “Kaiii, you smell like burnt charcoal and outside!!” You squeal as Kai holds your struggling form close to his uncomfortably wet body. 

“I’m sooo sorry, baby~ Let’s hang out~” Kai swings your body from side to side as if printing his scent onto you. You let out a playful scream as you try to get away, “fiine, whatever, just let go you smelly dog” you complain as you continue to wiggle. Kai laughs as he turns you around to face him, “I’ll let you go for a kiss~” Kai taunts as he comes closer to your face visibly pleased by your blushing face. “Mmm, Kaii” you whine as you scrunch up your nose after catching a whiff of his neck, Kai made no movement of letting you go until he got what he asked for. You sigh in defeat as you shuffle your arms away from your boyfriend’s grip to cup his cheeks you slowly bring him down to your lips as Kai hums into your mouth, he blushes from feeling your lips mold into a smile. 

You both part as you try to catch your breaths; Kai lays his head on the crook of your shoulder holding you close. 

“Kai, I love you-“

“But you stink, honey, take a shower.” You say deadpanned, 

“yep” Kai lets go finally as he goes to take a well-deserved shower.

Cole is a sweetheart around the kitchen when he would volunteer his help especially when gathering supplies from the highest point of the shelf or lifting heavy objects like big bags of flour or sugar. 

You appreciated his help especially when your father couldn’t be at the shop, you tried paying him for helping you, but he refused saying, “what kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn’t help my favorite girl?” however, he did say that you could pay him in samples of new recipes and kisses from you. Which you completely oblige to, 

It was early in the morning on a Saturday, your shop closes on weekends so during this time you would take time to restock incoming supplies and throw away old ingredients. 

Cole would invite himself to help you during these times he enjoyed the quiet of the shop as you played music in the background from yours and Cole’s combined playlist that you both worked together in making. Cole enjoyed spending those times with you, it made him happy to think about having a domestic lifestyle with you. 

You held your favorite-colored clipboard with your checklist in hand of things to check for, ensuring all your supplies came in and ingredients hadn’t passed its expiration date. 

After the satisfied check you asked if Cole could carry in the big bags of flour to their respected places. 

Nodding Cole lifts one of the bags securely on his shoulder and the other under his arm with zero effort. Since Cole has helped from moving and grabbing objects you’ve found yourself staring at his arms. Enjoying the way, they flexed as he moved the supplies at your order, his muscles would tense and veins protrude as he would hold objects in his arms firmly. Why can’t he hold you like that?! You bite your lip to distract your deep desires as you slowly peel your eyes away from his arms. 

Soon you hear a chuckle from your boyfriend you snap your head back as Cole doubles over, placing the large bags on the table so that he doesn’t drop them.

“Why are you laughing!” You smile nervously as you had a suspension as to why, “You are so obvious, (y/n), oh my gosh” Cole places his hands on his knees once again going tense as he holds onto them seeing his veins and blushing at the sight. You were losing too much respect for yourself, oml, “What, can’t I appreciate the looks of my man~” you try to play it cool as you grin placing hands on your hips as Cole smiles regaining his composure. 

“Hmm, your man, I like the sound of that~” Cole saunters over each step he took was in tune to the music as you blush forcing your eyes to look at him. Cole then wraps his arms around your waist as he pulls you close swaying both your hips to the music that was playing on your phone. 

You wrap your arms around him fighting the urge to look at how his arms looked wrapped around you. Feeling tiny under him knowing he could probably pick you up like it was nothing made your heart flutter. 

“It’s true, you’re my man~” you smile as you repeat into his neck as he continues to sway you, he slowly spins you to A dip, “I’m so lucky to be yours, babe~” he lowers his head to kiss your lips. You close your eyes to accept his affection-

“ahem” you felt Cole tense up above you as you jumped you both pulling away to see your dad at the door with an unamused face.  D-daddy!” you nervously greet him to try and hide any happenings to prevent an aneurism from him.

“H-hey, Mr. (l/n)” Cole waves as he chuckles nervously leaning against the counter to try and act calm in front of your dad.

He huffs as he walks away to pay off bills most likely for the shop, you both sigh with relief more of Cole as he had a hand over his beating heart. “Geez, do you think your dad will ever like me?” Cole asks with a grin; you chuckle as you grab Cole’s hand. “He likes you, he’s just…not thrilled with you” you try and explain your fathers’ thoughts as best as you could.

Cole hums as he places his other hand on the bottom of your chin placing a quick kiss to your lips, “well, these bags aren’t gonna move themselves~” Cole kisses the back of your hand as he lets go to finish his task. Placing your fingers on your lips you smile as you continue your own work as music from Cole’s selection starts to play as you sway your hips absentmindedly to the beat.

Zane was over at your apartment for a date night, you both were cooking dinner as he was frying fish, and you were cutting vegetables and making rice on the side. You enjoyed Zane’s cooking he made everything one hundred times better, he could make toast taste like a delicacy.

You especially liked helping him by passing him things or adding things into dishes when his hands were full. It made you feel like a married couple making dinner together it was so romantic to you, Zane seemed to enjoy it as well as he always had a smile on his face, he seemed to love teaching you how to do things as well. 

You remember when Zane was behind you as he guided your hands when cutting into the fruit, you were so focused but on the wrong things. Not on Zane’s voice, not in the motion of his cutting. But his forearm, his muscles visible from each motion as he would talk you into cutting properly. His quiet voice close to your ear your back against his smooth chest. Blush was visible on your face as you squeak when Zane calls for your name,  “(y/n), are you alright? Your heart rate has increased” Zane points out as his blue eyes glow in a scanning motion. “D-don’t point that out!” you squeak as you close your eyes from embarrassment, Zane tilts his head to the side as he looks to your face. “You are red, you are displaying characteristics similar to when we kis-“ you interrupt him with a squeal as you duck away from his hold. 

That was a month ago, you’ve learned your lesson or so you thought as you finished chopping the vegetable you go to turn off the dial to the rice to let it sit as you look to Zane again. Having tongs in his hand as he lifts the finished fried fish from the pot, and places them on the paper towel to dry any extra grease as the fish sits. You were staring again looking at his forearms as they flexed from gripping and releasing. Watching the muscles on the back of his hand flex as well, “ow!” you flinch back as the grease popped you on your hand. Zane broke from his concentration as he places the tongs down to tend to you.

“Are you alright?” Zane was quick to grab your wrist as he examines your hand, “you are not burned however, running your hand under cool water should ease the pain” Zane explains as he walks you to the sink and runs your hand under the water. 

You flinch under the sudden temperature change and sudden pain that danced on your hand, Zane was quick to notice your pull back. As he starts rubbing his thumb on the palm of your hand in comforting motion, each time his thumb would run against your palm his muscles on his wrist would once again show. Putting you in a trance of its movement, you found yourself once again against Zane’s body, blush found its way to your cheeks as you hum against his touch admiring his hands movements. 

“(y/n)” Zane calls to you as all you could do was hum a response to him, his touch was so calming and soothing. “Your face is warm, and your heart is starting to pick up speed” Zane was now confident enough in understanding your emotions to tell when you are not harmed but displaying satisfied emotions during your intimate moments together.

Zane smiles as he holds you close closing his eyes as he leans down to the crook of your neck, you mold your hands to hold his as they stayed under the cool water. 

“I have noticed how attentive you’ve been of my hands, why is that?” Zane asks as he continues rubbing your injured hand with affection. You blush as you look to him as you rub your cheek onto Zane’s synthetic one, “I just…like them” you spoke quietly as you tried to save any type of dignity you once had by not saying how hot his hands were when he would grab or subconsciously flex them. Wishing he’d grab parts of your body so that you could feel how much power he puts into them to make them flex like that. 

But someone would have to torture you to get that information out. 

Zane’s smile grows as he traces his nose up your neck, “Is that normal for people to like features such as that?” Zane asks, was he teasing you? 

You huff out a laugh as you look away, “it’s what I like, others have different preferences, but hands are a common one.” You explain to your boyfriend, he nods as he hums at your answer still smiling. 

“Are there other parts of me that you enjoy?” Zane’s question surprised you as your face exploded into red, your ears were pink as Zane’s lips formed into a grin. “I-uhm, well-“ before you could explain you hear beeping come from your smoke alarm. You both jump from each other as Zane was quick to turn off the stove smoke coming from the oil pan as he transfers it over to a cool part of the stove. You race to open a window as Zane puts on the oven fan and shuts off the smoke alarm.

Once there was quiet again you and Zane let out a sigh of relief, “th-thank you, hah” you laugh as Zane smiles shyly scratching the back of his head. 

“I apologize I should have turned off the stove” you giggle as you pat Zane on the shoulder in a reassuring manner, “It’s okay, the important thing is that we’re safe~” you kiss his cheek as you place the fried fish on the table with the rice and vegetables. You look back to Zane who was looking at you with blush on his face, 

Smiling you ask, “are you ready for dinner?”

Jay shared his interest in inventing new technologies for the team with you, his hobby of fixing things around his home and even yours, if you asked him. Which he was so happy to do, it was like a dog wanting to please its owner.

It was adorable to you when Jay would tell you different parts that he was using to fix different things. He was happy to know that you wanted him to show you how to fix things, so you didn’t always ask him in fear of annoying him.

Jay would ease your worry by saying he’ll always be there to help you, dropping anything that he was doing to help you with heart eyes.

In return you would make him food or drinks to which he’d gush thanking you multiple times for the food, you giggle as he would eat the food you made with a smile on his face as if you cured hunger. 

Jay has expressed how much he’s loved your cooking several times, ever since you made dinner for him when he came to your house to get away from his brothers. 

After that he was hooked, you were sure he was overexaggerating, but he’d always come to your house whenever you invited him. 

So now Jay is fixing your car, it was a great price and a dream car of yours, however not even three months later did your car start experiencing problems. No wonder it was a too good to be true, you asked Jay if he could fix your car since you knew finding someone to fix it would cost a fortune. That is why you had Jay over that night working in your garage under the car, you would talk to the chatterbox to keep him company until you left to make dinner. 

When you came back to tell Jay that it was done you saw him in his white undershirt wiping oil off his hands, his concentrated brow furrowed as he tries to clean up. You stare at his thin white shirt cover in sweat as it stuck to his body, his rippling muscles showing through his shirt, it almost looked unnatural on his cute face. To see a chiseled chest hand crafted by the gods on your adorable boyfriends freckled face, but there it was. Manipulating his arms to clean the oil from your car, 

You stare at him jaw on the floor at his form. Jay satisfied for what he could get off throws the rag in the bucket going inside to tell you what he’s found and how he can fix it just to meet your shocked expression. 

“O-oh hey..” Jay waves as he looks to you with a questioned look wondering as to why you looked like you were trying to catch flies in your mouth, “are you okay?” he tilts his head like a puppy. But the cute face was instantly shadowed by his form, “J-Jay, you look…great” you force out any dignity that you had left, you walk over with your hand out.

Jay blushes but stays still wanting to know what you would do; you touch his wet shirt that was protecting his muscles you feel a spark shock your finger as you ignore it for your personal gain to glide your finger delicately down his abs. 

Jay squeaks as you continue your nails tickling his stomach as he stares at you with loving eyes as you revered in his body, “(y-y/n)” Jay breaths out as you finally snap out from your trance to look up at your boyfriend. He looks so cute with his flustered expression over his scattered freckles, you smile as you cup your hand on his cheek gliding your thumb as he rests his head on your palm.

“Dinner is ready..” you whisper loud enough for him to hear you as he hums staring at your face, “You’re so handsome Jay, y’know?” you ask as you glide your hand down to his chin so that he’d look at you. “I do now, but c-can you say it again?” he squeaks out as he looks away for a second to land back at your adoring face, you coo as you exhale a smile on your face.

“Of course, blue jay~ My handsome boyfriend~” you grab his face you pull him down to a kiss, separating to continue your praises calling him handsome and yours.

Jay soaks up your words like a sponge, you giggle at his pleased face as you pull away rewarded by a pout. “c’mon silly, let’s get you something to eat” you wink as you bring him inside, Jay chuckles as he looks away, “y’know if I get this from just my shirt maybe I should wear this all the time~” Jay teases as he looks back to your blushing face. 

“You’d do that for me?” you bite your lip at future encounters of Jay and his body, Jay’s confidence instantly plummets as he turns to mush from witnessing your face at his comment. You giggle as you pat Jay’s back, “go shower and I’ll have your plate ready” you walk over to your stove to prepare any last touches.

Jay smiles as he goes to your bathroom for a needed shower, once you were by yourself you place a hand on your heart feeling it’s beat increase at your actions. You had to calm your breathing as a smile grows bigger, you were coming to the point of a fangirl freakout, as you fanned your face and squealed soon wrapping your hands around your body.

“Eek, my boyfriend is so hawt!” you squeak as you place your hands on your cheeks that was growing hot by the second, from your freak out.

“Hehe, so this is why you pushed me out the room~” you hear Jays voice as you stop in your tracks, you slowly turn to face your smug boyfriend, “I needed a towel, so I came down to ask for one, I’m so glad I came at the right time to see this” Jay smiles at your embarrassed expression.

Kai

He notices that you’re wearing his shirt the second he walks in the room

He has a very good memory when it comes to what clothes he owns, so when he sees them on you, he knows them in an instant

He smirks, leaning against the doorframe

He lets out a long whistle, startling you

“Looking fine, babe. I like the shirt.”

“Yeah? You like my shirt?”

His smirk grows, and he saunters over to you

His arms wrap around your waist and he pulls you into a kiss

He reminds you that it is, in fact, not your shirt

Cue the teasing that ends with you being chased around the house until Kai corners you and tickles you, refusing to let up unless you admit the shirt isn’t yours

As much as he likes seeing you in his clothes, he isn’t going to let you keep them

But he starts asking if you also want one whenever he gets a new clothing item, because he thinks you look totally hot in his clothing style

He just doesn’t want to have to give up any of his clothes; he needs them all to be available 24/7 for ✨fashion purposes✨

Cole

It takes him a second to realize it’s his hoodie you’re wearing

It’s the bagginess that he notices first; he’s a pretty big guy, so his clothes would most likely be at least a little big on you

The longer he looks, though, the more familiar the hoodie becomes

When he finally realizes, a huge grin blooms on his face

He walks up to you and envelops you in a bear hug, lifting you off the ground and swaying back and forth

He is absolutely elated that you’re in his clothes

He likes his clothes, and he likes you, so put those things together…

When he sets you down, finally allowing you to breathe again, he plants a kiss atop your head

Even though they don’t fit you too well, Cole’s clothes are very comfy, so you take full advantage of his open-closet policy

His initial thought is that you also happen to have a Starfarer shirt

He says as much, but when you give an amused giggle he gets suspicious

Going to his room, he finds his shirt gone

He comes running after you

When he finally tackles you onto the couch, both of you laughing your lungs out, he peppers your face with kisses

He’s not really all that upset, he was just taken by surprise

In actuality he thinks you look great, and he tells you to keep the shirt

He thinks it’s cute that you borrow his clothes, and he probably tries to return the favor at some point

He’ll be over the moon if you let him wear your clothes from time to time

He’ll be really picky about what he takes, though, so you don’t have to worry about all your clothes suddenly disappearing

Except for hoodies. Lock them away. He will steal them all.

Zane

He notices you in his clothes immediately

He was aware that he was missing a tunic, so he made the connection pretty quickly when he saw you in it

At first he’s just confused

“Are all your clothes unfit for wearing? I did the laundry yesterday—”

“No, I just… wanted to wear yours.”

He’s still pretty confused, but he can tell that you’re happy so he lets it go

He knows it’s some kind of affectionate thing, but he doesn’t understand it personally

He starts purposefully putting some of his clothes in your drawers, just so you don’t have to “steal” them

He doesn’t care when you wear those, but he does get a little irked when you do steal from his wardrobe

Not genuinely upset, though; he just dislikes the confusion of finding something missing

As long as you let him know beforehand, he has no trouble letting you borrow whatever you want :)

And perhaps he’ll even let you keep it…..

Lloyd

Lloyd turns pink in the cheeks when he sees you in his shirt

The corner of your mouth quirks up mischievously when you see this

warnings: not proofread. i try to explain roller skating in nya's and fail at it because I'm too lazy to research. on the other hand, I nerd out really hard in zane's, also reader is ever so slightly implied to be short than zane in his but its like two words

lloyd - a walk in the park

i definitely feel like he'd keep it easy + simple, he doesn't want to come off too strong and scare you away.

after freaking out about it for hours, he finally comes to the idea of just taking you on a walk through the park right smack dab in Ninjago

it was the peak of spring, so all the plants and flowers were beautifully vibrant

poor boy was SO nervous

would defo be the type to pick a flower and tuck it behind your ear

“This place is beautiful this time of year.” You said, marveling at the plants surrounding you both as you sat on a park bench. Turning your head to look at Lloyd, only to find him already staring. “Lloyd…?”

“It really is…” He said, his voice dreamy like he was in a far-off state. “I- I mean!” Lloyd cleared his throat, looking away as he felt his face grow warmer, blush creeping up the sides of his neck. “Sorry, I meant that you’re- you’re also really… beautiful.”

Lloyd kept his gaze fixed on the ground, worried he’d messed everything up, but instead of rejecting his compliments, he was met with small giggles. He raised his head, looking over at your smiling face, a sight he’d remember for years to come.

“You don’t have to be nervous, Lloyd. I promise I like you just as much as you like me.” You said, taking his hand in yours. “And thank you… for… saying that.” A small chuckle came from your lips, a shared blush gracing your features.

“Yeah, it’s… no problem.” He smiled, looking away before his eyes settled on something, an idea popping in his head. Leaning over the side of the bench, his hand slipping from yours, he plucked a freshly blossomed daisy from its stem, facing back towards you.

You held your breath as he grabbed the side of your face, using his other hand to tuck the flower behind your ear. “There.” He smiled, leaning back as he admired his handiwork. “Somehow you just got even more beautiful.” Lloyd sighed as he took your hand once more, leaving a chaste kiss against your knuckles.

kai either wants someone who can keep up with his antics or keep him grounded (or both)

he’d take you on all the thrill rides, just to prove he’s “not a coward”

at some point he’ll end up getting sick from one of the rides (you told him not to eat so much cotton candy)

when the sun starts setting, you both go on the ferris wheel, sat side by side, watching the sun disappear into the ocean

“Holy shit!” You subconsciously grab at Kai’s arm, finally looking down and noticing just how high up you both are, granted you were riding the ferris wheel. Little did you know, this was Kai’s plan all along. He’d wanted to impress you all night, and what better way than to prove he’s definitely not at all terrified of heights?

“Oh, yeah?” He smirks, though the small tremble of his body doesn’t go unnoticed. “I’m like… way higher up than this on the daily.” Kai fails to mention that he’s usually in a mech, or some sort of vehicle. Now, he’s just left to his own devices if he were to fall…

The ferris wheel stops abruptly with a lurch, causing you both to let out small yelps. Looking at each other, you share a laugh when you realize you’re both being dramatic. You let go of his arm, hesitantly leaning back in the rickety metal seat. “Jesus, we’re high up…” The sun was now setting, casting a beautiful orange glow along the horizon.

“And it seems like we’re at the top, if I’m not mistaken.” Kai smirks, leaning his head over the seat before immediately bringing it back, a look of regret dawning his face for a moment. He mumbles something about that being a “stupid idea”, before turning his attention back to you.

“You know… there’s this thing people usually do at the top of ferris wheels.” He raises his brow, looking at you with a grin.

“And what’s that?” You reply, playing into his antics as you both subconsciously lean towards the other like magnets.

Your lips meet halfway, just a small peck before you part once more. No words were said, no words were needed as you smiled, readjusting your body so you sat forward and leaned your head against Kai’s shoulder, his arm wrapped safely around you.

nya - rollerskating

now just hear me out…

something just speaks to me when it comes to nya and rollerskating, like my heart is telling me she loves it

her going rollerskating with someone (you), sharing that experience is just a testament to how much she likes that person (you again)

and let’s say, hypothetically, this is your first time rollerskating

a lot of the night is spent with you leaning against nya for support, her cheering you on when you’re finally able to skate on your own

The side of the roller skating ring shook under you, your trembling hands the only thing keeping you from falling flat on your face. To your left is Nya, cheering you on as you try to skate on your own. "C'mon! You can do it!" She exclaims, smiling.

You let out a deep breath, closing your eyes as you lift your hands off the rail. You stay still for a moment, your feet rolling back and forth ever so slightly. Hesitantly, you open your eyes, Nya now in front of you. Pushing one foot forward, trying to keep your balance, successfully getting a few steps in.

"You're doing it!" Nya laughs, but right after she says that, the propulsion of your roller skates becomes too much, your feet moving much faster than you can handle, and you topple right on top of Nya. Thankfully, her strength keeps you both from falling as she holds onto your arms, you grabbing onto her shoulders.

"I don't know how you do it." You laugh, leaning your head on her shoulder for a moment as you compose yourself.

"I've been doing this for years," Nya responds, laughing alongside you. "This is literally your first time; you're not gonna be perfect. Here, try one more time." She slowly lets go of your arms, allowing you to take the reins once more. Taking one final breath, you do the same thing you did before. Push off and try to keep your balance.

You don't even realize you're doing it until Nya's behind you, jumping up and down in her skates, cheering. "Yes! You did it!" She skates up to you quickly, engulfing you in a hug as she grabs the side of your face, placing a quick kiss on your cheek.

when he’s not on ninja duty, food is on the forefront of his mind (as well as you now), so of course the perfect idea to him would be taking you to his favorite bakery

it’s a small, family-owned one, so he probably knows the owners personally, allowing you two to get the best, freshly baked pastries

he definitely gets at least double your portion, making you question just how he’s able to keep his ninja physique with all he’s scarfing down.

You’re sat across from Cole, tucked away in a booth far off in the corner of the small bakery. It wasn’t too busy, just enough for the bustle of people around you to not be a bother. Cole’s telling you another story about one of the ninja’s “heroic endeavors”, taking bites of his chocolate cake slice between each sentence. You thought it was cute, his love for sweets.

“Hey, you gonna eat that?” Cole says, interrupting his story to point at the croissant you’d long since discarded, having eaten your fill. With a smile, you told him no, handing it to him as he takes his gratefully, munching down on the bread, letting out a contented sigh. “I told you this place was amazing.”

“Clearly.” You chuckle, finding his antics childish yet endearing. “I’m just shocked you’re able to, like… eat so much without keeling over.”

He simply shrugged in response, taking one last bite of the croissant before leaning back in his seat, letting out a comical groan, and wiping off his mouth with a napkin.

"Oh, here, you missed some." You mumbled, reaching over the table, napkin in hand, as you delicately wiped away a couple of crumbs. Embarrassment radiates through your body as you realize what you've done, hastily looking away and muttering out an apology.

Cole lets out a small laugh, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Hey, hey, it's fine." He says, his voice nothing but kind. "In fact, I think you've got a little something yourself." As he says that, Cole leans over the table, delicately grabbing the side of your face, turning your head back towards him. He places a small, soft kiss to the corner of your mouth before sitting back once more, a small smile of triumph on his face as you're left there, a stammering, blushing mess.

i can totally see him downloading like, a bunch of articles of “top 10 best first date ideas” (toootalllyyy didnt search that when writing these)

he decided to go with an art gallery, deciding that it’d be the place with the “least likely trouble”, and the overall atmosphere

he’d most likely be attracted to someone who’s smart/an intellectual, and an art gallery is the best way to scope that out

while you’re admiring the paintings, he’d be admiring you

when you show an interest in one of the works, he’d scan it to find out all the information about it so he can tell you

With each step in the museum, your jaw dropped further at the beauty of the paintings. You were so thankful Zane brought you to the gallery; its openness eased your nerves. Zane was extremely accommodating whenever you got too sucked into a certain piece, reading the plaque and absorbing what you saw. He never showed a lick of impatience.

In fact, he would even tell you things about the piece that very few people actually know, just small anecdotes or fun facts about the artist or the art itself. You knew it probably came natural to him, what with his millions of archives, but the gesture was sweet nonetheless.

"Ah, those right there are Claude Monet's waterlilies," Zane says, bringing you to the wonderfully bright painting. It all seemed so elegant, the way the colors blended together, creating the impression of the waterlilies, which makes sense since he began the Impressionist art movement. "Unfortunately, this appears to be a replica. I believe the actual paintings are housed in a separate museum."

"That's a shame," You sigh. "They're still beautiful, though, regardless." Looking over, you notice Zane already staring at you.

"Unlike these waterlilies, you have a beauty that can't be replicated." He says it so out of the blue that it almost makes you stumble backwards. Fortunately, you prevent yourself from doing that, but not without a fervent blush spreading across your face.

"Zane!" You stutter, smiling.

"Did I say something wrong?" He replies, cocking his head.

You take a couple seconds to respond, just looking at him softly before laughing, "No, you're fine." Leaning up, you give him a small kiss on the cheek, a token of your gratitude.

he initially wanted to go to an arcade, but eeevvverrryyyoooneee told him not to

he decides either on some cheesy rom-com movie or a horror movie (no in-between)

rom-com to really set the mood of the date, making it feel more romantic

or horror so he can be your “knight in shining armor” (though he ends up being the one cowering

he does the stupid like, yawn and put your arm over the others shoulder.

After an extremely awkward confession, you were sitting here in a movie theater with Jay. It was a movie of his choosing, yet another horror film made solely for the shock factor. Admittedly, you were shocked he would pick it; he hardly seemed the type to enjoy horror, but he said he "just wanted to show you he can be there when you need it". Okay, man...

The movie wasn't bad at all; it was just extremely obvious it wanted to get a few screams out of people, with zero regard to anything else. At one point, you felt Jay grab your hand. Looking over at him, smiling softly, he just says you "looked scared", even though the trembles of his hand were a dead giveaway of his own terror. All you do is give him a soft chuckle, squeezing his hand in return.

As the movie went past its climax, the cheesy jumpscares thankfully died down. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Jay 'yawn', then slip his arm over your shoulder. You had to hold back a giggle, but the gesture didn't go unappreciated, the warmth in your face obvious to how you truly felt. You allowed him to win this time, resting your head on his shoulder. Looking up, you could just make out the goofiest grin on Jay's face.

"Hey, um..." Jay begins as you're both walking outside the theater. "Was it... okay? The date, I mean." He tried to laugh it off, but the insecurity on his face was evident.

Turning to face him, you smile sweetly, grabbing both of his hands. "Jay, it was amazing, don't worry." You laugh, your thumbs rubbing circles on his knuckles.

"Oh, good," He chuckles awkwardly. "Then, um, can I kiss you?"

You simply nod in return as he slips his hands out of yours, cupping your face as he kisses you so delicately you feel as if you could both fly away.

Could be heard mumbling from the green man himself, turning to look and finding him already facing you with a hint of pink. "And I'll gladly do it every chance possible." Speaking in a hushed tone and a gental smile.

Swung open the shoji with a frustrated groan. "It was an absolu-.." Pausing in all movment to see a whole meal prepared for him, "Babe?" He asked with both brows raised. Staring in awe of his lovers' dedication, "I figured you'd need some refuil after today."

Taking a few longer strides to greet his lover with a side hug, kissing your cheek softly. "You really are a saint, babes." He chuckled softly, the fire shining in his amber eyes dimmed to a soft crackling. "Thank you." Whispering gently.

"You're welcome." Greeting in the same tone as you switched to hold his face, storking his cheeks with your thumbs in a repetitive motion before pulling him down a little to peck his forehead in a quick yet affectionet motion. "Come on, let's eat before it gets cold." Lighly pushing at him before taking a seat with him following short. "About time!"

The creek of the wooden shoji snapped your focus to the entrance. It was a suprise he'd shown up at such an early time then expected. "Welcome back home, sweetheart. I'm almost done, so you can just go ahead and sit down." Motening to the table with a smile having seem his suprise experience.

"Love? You made all this for me?" Speaking as a huge grin grew on his lips, sitting down without a spark hesitation lingering. "Yeah, I know how tired you've been after the last missions." Humming with reply and putting some cooked rice into a bowl as the last part.

"You truly are a life saver." He chuckled, but the sweetness in his tone wasn't missed either, his chocolate brown eyes focused on your form moving around as eventually stood next to him with a bowl of rice. Leaning over to give his forehead a peck before placing the bowl down. "Seeing you happy makes me happy."

"Hello dearest, I've arrived home for the evening." Spoke the nindroid with a soft smile resting on his face as the shoji was slid to the side, shifting his head to the side from the view of a whole meal prepared for his arrival. "I'm glad to hear that. Welcome home, dear." You hummed, patting your hands on the aprin with a gleeful smile.

"I've made dinner tonight. Usually, you insist on making, but now it was my turn." His lover chuckled lightly before shifting over to him, grabbing a hold of his hands. "I, in fact, very much appreciate your efforts, but this act wasn't needed." Keep the tone soft but also gentle, can't lie, but his heart was overheating just a little.

"Still, I wanted to do it for you.. Kinda, as a thank you for all the times you it." Soften even more in your hold as his baby blues fell to the table. "Shall we get started before it gets the chance to catch cold?" As you smiled and gave him a hug, pulling him down for a kiss at the corner of his lips. "Now you're speaking my language."

"Welcome home, sunshine," his lover spoke aloud as a whine came out, turning the corner, having thought that he hadn't been noticed. "Awe, you're too good at this game, babe." Nonetheless, a small boyish smile plasterd to his face, hands on both hips.

Returning with a chuckle, shaking your head at his silly act. "Even after your missions, you're full of life." Turing his nose with a shrug of his shoulders, acting as he'd had no clue. "Go ahead and sit down, I've been waiting for you to come back."

In a blink of the eye, he was sat next to you with a look of pure joy. "Did you know you're the best?" Whisper yelling, placing his scarred hand on top of yours. "So you've said before." Smiling at the motion before moving to kiss his freckled cheek, watching as the blue ninja turned pink with an evident avoiding of eye contact.

~Nya Smith~

As you were cutting up some last bits of vegetables yet being careful, not having heard their water lover quietly gliding into the kitchen. "It smells amazing, babe." She smiled along with a small chuckle as her arms wrapped around your waist, placing her head on your shoulder.

Jumped slightly as you had been spaced out but laughed it off. "Welcome home, sweetheart. How was it?" A tone so filled with love, turning around to face her properly as she then rested her hands on either side of your waist. "Tiring, as usual.. is that what I think it is?" Raising a slight brow

Her loved hummed with a nod while wrapping their arms around her neck. "Yes, it is." The couple now both smiled as Nya leaned for a stolen kiss, "I love you so!" You laughed from her tone and plasterd on even more kisses on her face, the last one on her forehead. "Let me cut up the last part and settle down, yeah?"
