#Kai Chisaki — Pro Hero; Frustrated UA Medic

     Quietly he sits, holding tight to his daughter and attempting to provide at least the smallest sliver of stability.  Eyes close, and he hums softly to Eri.  An attempt to help ease her out of her own panic and recognize the safety of her father’s embrace.

     There is a slow movement, Chisaki steadily guiding Eri to stand behind him.  To give her the ability to flee should a fight begin.  He could easily go toe-to-toe against his twin… assuming he didn’t have to guard Eri in the meanwhile.  “You should know by now, I refuse to hand her over to someone as vile and disgusting as you.”

     Gloves were removed, one hand resting almost idly on a nearby wall.  Ready to overhaul as much of the area as he could should his twin make a move.

     “What in the world is with all the shouting?”

     “So that’s the name then...”

“Can’t believe he actually managed it...”

     “First rats, now a puppy...”  You won’t ever catch a break.  Best to accept it now, your daughter is a princess that draws animals to her side.

Eri please you’re going to give your dad a heart attack-

     “....”

     “Eri, we’re leaving town for a few days-”

     The clinging catches him by surprise, making him stumble slightly for just a moment before he can steady himself.  Taking a breath, he glances down and smiles softly.

    Honestly, the amount of patience Chisaki had for Eri was truly astounding.  If anyone else had nearly made him fall to the dirty, filthy ground… well.  At the very least they'd be getting a few too many unkind checkups.

    But with Eri?  The hero simply knelt down, placing a gloved hand gently onto her head.  "Are you okay, Eri?  You look sad."  He'd done his best to push the other him from his mind, to ensure that Eri could stay with the hero instead of the snippy teacher.

    If it had been a few years- even a few months prior, OFA would've believed he'd never see the light of day again.  Never been able to view the world as it was.  The fact that he could only do so from inside, from through a window, was upsetting… but he was used to that.  Even back then, his illness kept him from being outside for very long.

    But now?  Having been dragged out of that vault after his brother was locked away?  Having seen the Nomu he'd had as a ‘caretaker’ destroyed so suddenly?  He found hope in his heart.  Hope that'd been nearly snuffed out through years of almost torturous imprisonment.  Of near complete isolation from the world.

    To keep him safe he'd been brought to UA.  To keep him away from any that might seek to use him as a bargaining chip against AFO- the Hero Commission included.  

    While the staff of the school argued with the Hero Commission on what should become of him, OFA merely enjoyed what simple peace he could.  Watching the wind push through the flowers and trees, viewing the world through a window as he sat quietly.

    At least that’s what he was doing until he’d heard tiny footsteps nearby.  Turning a bit towards the noise, he caught a glimpse of a child.  Not like the students normally here, but younger.  Was she the daughter of a teacher?  Did the school have a program that let younger individuals see what the renowned place was like?  It didn’t matter, in the end.

    OFA lifted one hand, waving to her slightly.  "Hello."  He said, throat still a bit sore from lack of regular use.  "Did you...want to look at the flowers too?"  While he thought it unlikely, he didn't want to just ignore her presence.

     Look at his daughter, off to ruin lives.  “I’m so proud.”

     Did he really empty a child’s bedroom?  “Eri will be staying with me for the forseeable future.”

     A rigid unease settles over Chisaki, words trying and failing to form as he absently focused on the feel of his gloves against his fingers.  He truly didn't want to answer this awful question.

     "Yes."  The answer is expelled swiftly, quietly.  Like just uttering it aloud was a crime.  "For… for a time, yes, I was.  But things changed when the Yakuza was disbanded.  Now just the thought of it… it makes me ill to even consider."  Eri was his daughter now.  Not a tool, not a special piece on his chess board.  She was his one and only daughter.  He'd sooner die than bring harm to her.
