Yeh Rishtey hain Pyar Ke and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki actor Sameer Sharma commits Suicide

Year 2020 has been rough for Indian cinema both for big screen and Small screen. After the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, Irfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor, now another blow to B-Town Kahaani Ghar Ghar ki actor Sameer Sharma was found hanging from his kitchen ceiling at his apartment in Malad West on 5th Aug 2020 night.

Accidental Death Report has been registered and the body has been sent for autopsy. A report further suggested that he recently rented the Malad apartment in Mumbai, and his body was found by his building's watchman. 

As per Mumbai Police “Looking at the body's condition, it is suspected that he died by suicide two days back.” Senior inspector George Fernandes added "We have not found any suicide note at the spot. It seems to be suicide case. It is suspected that he hanged himself two days back. We have sent the body for an autopsy."

Sameer was currently seen in Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke as character Kuhu's (Kaveri Priyam) father.

Incidentally, Sameer shared a note on depression on his social media site on July 22. He threw light on the condition of a person going through depression and fighting mental health issues

His parents are based out of Bangalore. No suicide note has been found. Police are probing whether the actor had any financial difficulties. His wife lived separately.
