Anime i’ve Watched
That begin with a C!
Yep this is how i’m going to bring over all the anime and manga i’ve watched and posted about on the old blog. It’s not so detailed but it will have to do. Anything new I watch or read from this point on will have their own posts.
Cardcaptor Sakura:
Genres: adventure, comedy, drama, magic, romance, fantasy, school, shoujo
Synopsis: Sakura Kinomoto is your garden-variety ten-year-old fourth grader, until one day, she stumbles upon a mysterious book containing a set of cards. Unfortunately, she has little time to divine what the cards mean because she accidentally stirs up a magical gust of wind and unintentionally scatters the cards all over the world. Suddenly awakened from the book, the Beast of the Seal, Keroberos (nicknamed Kero-chan), tells Sakura that she has released the mystical Clow Cards created by the sorcerer Clow Reed. The Cards are no ordinary playthings. Each of them possesses incredible powers, and because they like acting independently, Clow sealed all the Cards within a book. Now that the Cards are set free, they pose a grave danger upon the world, and it is up to Sakura to prevent the Cards from causing a catastrophe! Appointing Sakura the title of "the Cardcaptor" and granting her the Sealed Key, Keroberos tasks her with finding and recapturing all the Cards. Alongside her best friend Tomoyo Daidouji, and with Kero-chan's guidance, Sakura must learn to balance her new secret duty with the everyday troubles of a young girl involving love, family, and school, all while she takes flight on her magical adventures as Sakura the Cardcaptor. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
My Rating: 8/10
Finished airing in 2000 with a total of 70 episodes.
My Thoughts: A childhood classic that’s probably due for a rewatch! Give me that nostalgia! Gonna need to watch the English opening though. Just recalling how much the artwork in older anime tends to make me cringe though looking back Cardcaptor doesn’t look all that bad.
Charlotte:
Genres: drama, school, superpower
Synopsis: While on the surface Yuu Otosaka appears to be just another charming and intelligent teenager, he has a secret—he has the ability to slip into people's minds and fully control their body for five seconds at a time. Yuu has been using this skill for years to gain the highest grades, which allowed him to enter a prestigious high school. When the enigmatic Nao Tomori catches Yuu using his power, she coerces him and his sister Ayumi into transferring to Hoshinoumi Academy, a school for students with supernatural abilities. The student council of the school, led by Nao, is tasked with secretly tracking down adolescents who abuse their powers. Yuu is forced to join the student council and together, they face formidable challenges that bring him closer to the shocking truth that his own, seemingly incomplete ability, might be more powerful than he could have ever imagined. An original story from Jun Maeda, creator of Angel Beats and Clannad, Charlotte explores the supernatural lives of these teenagers and the price they must pay for being special. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
My Rating: 9/10
Finished airing in 2015 with a total of 13 episodes. Also has a separate solo special episode.
My Thoughts: If I remember correctly the final few episodes are what really stood out to me in this anime. The beginning was alright but just after the half way mark is when it really blew me away. A slow starter if you will. I’m a sucker for some high intensity emotional drama and i’m pretty sure that’s what happened here. Whether that makes this a good anime or not is debatable. Perhaps a rewatch is in order?
Cheer Danshi!! (Cheer Boys!!):
Genres: sports, drama, school
Synopsis: After suffering from a shoulder injury, shy first-year university student Haruki Bandou gladly takes the opportunity to give up judo, failing to find happiness in the sport regardless of his family owning a dojo. He did not expect, however, that his best friend Kazuma Hashimoto would also decide to leave their university's judo club at the same time as him. Despite Haruki's protests, Kazuma already has plans for a new and revolutionary activity: a cheerleading team made up of only men. Although heavily reluctant, Haruki ends up helping his friend set up the team. Through sheer determination, and with support from their newfound club members, Haruki and Kazuma persist in founding the Breakers, the first ever all-male cheerleading team of Meishiin University, slowly making history in spite of the feminine tag attached to the sport of cheerleading and the prejudices, physical challenges, and self-doubts that inevitably follow. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
My Rating: 6/10
Finished airing in 2016 with a total of 12 episodes.
My Thoughts: Cheer boys! That’s it. That’s all there really is to it. Not a great or memorable anime. Just wasn’t for me.
Chihayafuru:
Genres: drama, game, josei, school, slice of life, sports
Synopsis: Chihaya Ayase, a strong-willed and tomboyish girl, grows up under the shadow of her older sister. With no dreams of her own, she is contented with her share in life till she meets Arata Wataya. The quiet transfer student in her elementary class introduces her to competitive karuta, a physically and mentally demanding card game inspired by the classic Japanese anthology of Hundred Poets. Captivated by Arata's passion for the game and inspired by the possibility of becoming the best in Japan, Chihaya quickly falls in love with the world of karuta. Along with the prodigy Arata and her haughty but hard-working friend Taichi Mashima, she joins the local Shiranami Society. The trio spends their idyllic childhood days playing together, until circumstances split them up. Now in high school, Chihaya has grown into a karuta freak. She aims to establish the Municipal Mizusawa High Competitive Karuta Club, setting her sights on the national championship at Omi Jingu. Reunited with the now indifferent Taichi, Chihaya's dream of establishing a karuta team is only one step away from becoming true: she must bring together members with a passion for the game that matches her own. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
My Rating: 9.5/10
Finished airing in 2012 with a total of 25 episodes.
My Thoughts: I freaking love Chihayafuru. Sports, friendship and all that good stuff is what this anime has to offer! One of my top 5 series of all time with my all time favourite female lead. Highly recommend!
Chihayafuru 2:
Genres: drama, game, josei, school, slice of life, sports
Synopsis: Chihaya Ayase is obsessed with developing her school's competitive karuta club, nursing daunting ambitions like winning the national team championship at the Omi Jingu and becoming the Queen, the best female karuta player in Japan—and in extension, the world. As their second year of high school rolls around, Chihaya and her fellow teammates must recruit new members, train their minds and bodies alike, and battle the formidable opponents that stand in their way to the championship title. Meanwhile, Chihaya's childhood friend, Arata Wataya, the prodigy who introduced her to karuta, rediscovers his lost love for the old card game. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
My Rating: 10/10
Finished airing in 2013 with a total of 25 episodes.
My Thoughts: The good times keep on rolling and i’m even more in love with the series and its characters! An obvious must watch for fans of the previous season.
Chihayafuru 3:
Genres: games, slice of life, josei, school, sports
Synopsis: Winning the high school team tournament was a great accomplishment for the Mizusawa members. Each of them has made great strides in improving themselves, and the victory symbolizes how far they've come. But after accomplishing one goal, their individual aims are within reach. Chihaya Ayase has her sights set on Wakamiya Shinobu and the title of Queen, and now that Taichi Mashima has made it into Class A, he can finally compete against Arata Wataya. Everyone in Mizusawa wants to get better, and there's no telling what the future holds if they keep trying. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
My Rating: 9/10
Finished airing in 2020 with a total of 24 episodes.
My Thoughts: Blessed with a third season and I can honestly say that i’m ever so thankful! Finally getting a little hint of romance with this third season as well. I can only hope there will be a season 4!
Chio-chan no Tsuugakuro (Chio's School Road):
Genres: comedy, seinen
Synopsis: For the average Japanese high school student, walking to school can be a chore, but for first-year Chio Miyamo, it's always an adventure. Constantly running late due to her long night sessions playing video games, she is forced to come up with new routes to make it to Samejima Private Academy on time. On her many bizarre journeys to school, Chio contends with obstacles like street-blocking detours, overzealous kabaddi players, and befuddled motorcycle gang leaders. But these minor hindrances are no match for the special ops training that Chio, AKA the legendary assassin "Bloody Butterfly," has received from her extensive gaming obsession. Together with her best friends Manana Nonomura and Yuki Hosokawa, Chio will do whatever it takes to avoid her school's harsh penalties for tardiness. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
My Rating: 9/10
Finished airing in 2018 with a total of 12 episodes.
My Thoughts: A perfect and hilarious situational comedy. Plus a glasses wearing female lead to boot! Highly recommend for those looking to watch something short and light. Great series for when you’re having a bad or off day in my opinion.
Chobits:
Genres: sci-fi, comedy, drama, romance, ecchi, seinen
Synopsis: When computers start to look like humans, can love remain the same? Hideki Motosuwa is a young country boy who is studying hard to get into college. Coming from a poor background, he can barely afford the expenses, let alone the newest fad: Persocoms, personal computers that look exactly like human beings. One evening while walking home, he finds an abandoned Persocom. After taking her home and managing to activate her, she seems to be defective, as she can only say one word, "Chii," which eventually becomes her name. Unlike other Persocoms, however, Chii cannot download information onto her hard drive, so Hideki decides to teach her about the world the old-fashioned way, while studying for his college entrance exams at the same time. Along with his friends, Hideki tries to unravel the mystery of Chii, who may be a "Chobit," an urban legend about special units that have real human emotions and thoughts, and love toward their owner. But can romance flourish between a Persocom and a human? [Written by MAL Rewrite]
My Rating: 10/10
Finished airing in 2002 with a total of 26 episodes.
My Thoughts: One of my first animes and one that really caught and kept my attention. Character driven and comedic with a bit of a darker twist. Be forewarned though this one has some typical, eye roll inducing pervy scenes that seem to serve little purpose. Asid from that though it really is an interesting and beautiful stoyr. I actually have the complete manga series and have been meaning to read it for ages... maybe i’ll get around to it this summer. Dream big!

Devendra Jhajharia is a talented and dedicated athlete who is a javelin thrower and he has made a world record in his first go when he threw for 62.15 meters. This is not it, he even won another gold medal in the Paralympic and he became the first Indian athlete to achieve two gold medals. In 2007, He got married to a national-level kabaddi player Manju Jhajharia who is the biggest support system for him during all his tough times. In Devendra's childhood, there was an incident due to which he lost his left hand. It happened when he was just eight years old and he was trying to climb a tree and by mistake, he touched an electrical cable of 11,000 volts. Everyone gathered there and Devendra was unconscious by then, villagers declared him dead. He was taken to the hospital where he gained his conscious back but his left hand was burnt till then and doctors had to amputate his left hand.
“The normal kids did not want to play with me so I took up a sport and decided to do better than them.” - Devendra Jhajharia
Devendra did not let his disability come in his way of sports even he was thriving in it day by day. He used to take part in his school events and used to win a lot of prizes as well. In 1997, he was participating in one of his school events and coach R.D. Singh was present there he noticed his amazing talent and decided to train him for the bigger level competitions. This training was so helpful for him to enhance his talent and to do something big in the sports world. In sports, we have an F46 classification which is a platform for athletes with disabilities to showcase their talent and skills. He decided to take part in national level games when he won a district-level championship. Devendra's international journey was started in 2002 when he won a gold medal at the Far East and South Pacific Games held at South Korea, he was just 21 then. In 2008 and 2012 he tried to enter Paralympics games but his category wasn't included. These years came with disappointment for him. His wife always supported him and stood with him to give him the motivation that he needed to keep trying. Before the games, he took training for a few months at Kuortane. Devendra was also awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award for his amazing performance in Rio. Devendra is also a part of the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS). There is a Gosport foundation that helped Devendra in its para champion program. They provided him equipment for Javelin that used to break a lot of times while playing or practicing and that equipment is pretty expensive. Devendra used to work with Indian Railways earlier and now he is working with the Sports Authority of India. He also wants to train the upcoming para-athletes as he dreams of a better recognition for athletes like him. He has also appeared in the famous TV show Comedy Nights with Kapil with his family. List of Devendra's achievement is not less he has also received Arjuna Award in 2004 and Padma Shri award in 2012.
Devendra has proved that disability is just a state of mind. He showed his hard work and dedication to achieve the recognition that he deserved. He also wants other para-athletes to get the recognition that they deserve, he wants that they should get at least some attention and recognition as a normal athlete gets.

‘They cannot use India flag’: AKFI ask Pakistan not to allow ‘unauthorised’ team to hoist national flag during Sunday’s final - other sports
The Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) has written a letter to its Pakistani counterpart, asking it not to allow the “unauthoried” Indian team, which is under investigation by the Sports Ministry, to use the national flag during Sunday’s final of the circle style World Cup.Around 45 players accompanied by a group of some 12 officials and coaches had travelled to Pakistan without any official permission or clearance to participate in a tournament called ‘Kabaddi World Cup’.The final of the tournament will be held at Lahore on Sunday between India and Pakistan. However, the AKFI made it clear that it has not sanctioned any kabaddi team’s visit to Pakistan for a tournament and asked the Pakistan Federation to not allow the team to use ‘India’ in the jersey or track suits that the players would be wearing.“AKFI has requested Pakistan Kabaddi Federation not to permit any individual to play any ‘Kabaddi World Cup’ to represent ‘India’. The individual should not be allowed to wear jersey/track suits with the name ‘India’. They cannot use India flag,” AKFI said in the letter.“AKFI is not aware if any ‘Kabaddi World Cup’ has been organised in Pakistan. AKFI has not received any official invitation from Pakistan regarding any such World Cup. AKFI has not permitted any team to go to Pakistan and play any Kabaddi match there. No such permission was sought by any individual/ team from AKFI and AKFI doesn’t not support any such activity.“The individuals cannot represent ‘India’ without prior permission of AKFI and clearance from Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of External Affairs. The event is not recognised by AKFI and the individual players playing there, won’t get any benefit whatsoever,” the letter added.A contingent from India had reached Lahore last Saturday via the Wagah Border to take part in the championship. Pictures and footage of the Indians arriving in Lahore had surfaced on social media platforms, kicking up a storm. However, the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) president Janardhan Singh Gehlot on Tuesday had said that the tournament is not recognised by the apex body.In the letter, the AKFI sought further information regarding the players and officials and asked the Pakistani body to submit relevant documents.“To whom the invitation for participation in the said event was sent; who accepted it? What are the names of the players participating in it; who are the coaches and technical officials participating? Who has financed the participation of the team? Who has arranged visas for the individuals? Who selected the individuals to participate in the said matches?,” it wrote.Circle kabaddi is slightly different from standard kabaddi, which is part of the the Asian Games. While the standard format has seven players, below 80kg in weight, per side, circle kabaddi features eight, without any weight restrictions, and the field of play is a circle. Read the full article

Panga Full Movie Download 123mkv, Filmywap 720p | Watch Online Pagalworld
Rooted in the real world, Panga features a glamorised Kangana Ranaut in the role of a retired kabaddi player who returns to the sport after a seven-year hiatus and inevitably runs into a series of challenges. The film’s central premise has undeniable potential but it would have come to naught had the treatment not been as sure-footed. Panga Full Movie Download 480p HD Tamilrockers, 123mkv Filmywap, Watch Online, Pagalworld, mp4movies, movierulz, khatrimaza, utorrent with torrent magnet, filmyzilla download.
The intelligently scripted, deftly directed and well-acted sports drama is peopled by characters who are easy to relate to. Unlike average Bollywood films of the genre, Panga does not ever strain credulity even when one might feel that it could have done with a little more momentum. The deliberate pacing ultimately does no harm. It, in fact, keeps the audience from taking their eyes off the crux of the tale.
–> Panga Full Movie Download <– 123MKV
Director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari (Nil Battey Sannata, Bareilly Ki Barfi) stays true to the small-town, middle-class moorings of a narrative that banks more upon small gestures of defiance and daring than on grand flourishes and bluster. Working with a script she has co-written with Nikhil Mehrotra and additional screenplay inputs and dialogues from Nitesh Tiwari, she crafts a tale that does not sacrifice authenticity for flashy plot sleights or thrills of a superficial nature.
Even when the film’s key character. Jaya Nigam (Ranaut), is tantalizingly close to realising her dream of representing India again, the film does not overreach in the pursuit of high drama. It is an uphill trek for Jaya as she negotiates blips along the way. There are times when she seems incapable of pulling it off, which makes her endeavour all the more engaging.
–> Panga Full Movie Download <– 480p
Panga also scores handsomely for the manner in which the crucial kabaddi sequences are mounted and choreographed (by national-level player Gauri Wadekar). Rarely do sports scenes in Hindi cinema look as natural they do in Panga. A large part of the credit should also accrue to the actors led by Ranaut - they never look out of place on the kabaddi court. The role fits the female lead to absolute perfection and there isn’t a single false note in her performance.
The film steers clear of overt melodrama and weaves the story of a mother making a comeback to a physically exacting game around tangible struggles stemming from her professional and personal responsibilities. In Jaya’s absence from her Bhopal home, her husband Prashant (Jassi Gill) struggles to produce passable aloo parathas for breakfast and draws a stinging rebuke from their son Aditya (Yagya Bhasin). He also makes a complete hash of giving the boy the look of a tiger for his school’s annual day.
The family lives in a modest government accommodation and the production design team makes no effort to overly prettify the space. The actions captured within are also shorn of artifice. It has the looks of a live-in home, not of a gleaming designer pad. In one passing scene, Prashant dunks a cookie in his tea while Adi, spread-eagled on the sofa, licks the cream off a biscuit as Jay I. Patel’s camera captures the ‘spectacle’ unblinkered.
By refraining from projecting the protagonist as an infallible superheroine who takes the hurdles in her way head-on and triumphs, Panga stays firmly in the realms of a plausible tale even as it drives home the sheer audacity of the leap of faith made by a woman trapped, partly of her own volition and partly due to the pressures of motherhood, in dreary domesticity.
The slow-burn approach allows aspects Jaya’s character to seep into the ‘action’ scenes - they are all restricted to the kabaddi court and the practice arena - and lend them both genuineness and power. The challenges of the working woman’s role as mother to a seven-year-old boy with poor immunity and the distance that she has traversed since quitting kabaddi at her peak are channelled fruitfully into her efforts to reclaim lost glory in the face of familial and societal expectations.
Her unwaveringly supportive husband represents masculinity of a kind that Mumbai movies rarely celebrate, let alone showcase. Panga goes all out to show us the strength of a man who subsumes his ambitions into those of his wife and throws his lot behind her when opportunity knocks on her door. Jaya has to leave Bhopal, where the former India captain and feted raider is a now rail ticket booking clerk, and move to Kolkata to join a newfangled Eastern Railways team. No praise could be too high for Jassi Gill’s performance. He immerses himself so completely into the character it is difficult to imagine any actor playing it better.
Panga isn’t the sort of Bollywood sports film in which the protagonist is a cocky, invincible smooth-talker who bulldozes her way through without a care in the world. Jaya has to reckon with a slew of obstacles. Her son needs constant monitoring owing to his medical condition. Her husband, also a Railways employee, has no clue how to keep the household running when the onus falls on him. Just as important, Jaya is no longer a sprightly 25-year-old. Her reflexes have slowed down. Her body is no longer in shape. Her spirit is willing, but her mind keeps telling that she might be venturing into rough terrain.
Jaya’s mother (Neena Gupta) is the first to warn her about the foolhardiness of her move. But a former teammate and talent scout Meenu (Richa Chadha), after initial friendly scepticism, steps up to help her friend achieve her goal. And finally, Jaya shares a room with a younger girl, Nisha (Megha Burman), who eggs her on and stands by her when the chips are down.
Only once does the conflict assume an external dimension in the form of the current India captain Smita (Smita Tambe), who has no love lost for Jaya. The former has reason to suspect that the 32-year-old is on her team only to warm the benches and return home with a gold medal from the Asian Kabaddi Championships without slogging it out on the court. The national coach (Rajesh Tailang), on his part, makes no bones about why he needs Jaya to be included in the squad. Extraneous, somewhat cynical reasons are cited for her selection, which puts both the player and her family under undue stress.

The slow-burn approach allows aspects Jaya’s character to seep into the 'action’ scenes - they are all restricted to the kabaddi court and the practice arena - and lend them both genuineness and power.

NEW DELHI: Star cricketer Rohit Sharma, wrestler Vinesh Phogat, and women's hockey captain Rani Rampal were among an unprecedented five sportspersons picked for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, while a whopping 29 were recommended for the Arjuna award by the sports ministry's selection committee on Tuesday. Paddler Manika Batra and Rio Paralympic gold-winning high jumper Mariyappan Thangavelu were the other two recommended for the country's highest sporting honour by a 12-member selection committee. Rampal was a late addition to the initial list of four. For the Arjuna, India pacer Ishant Sharma, teen shooting sensations Saurabh Chaudhary and Manu Bhaker, sprinter Dutee Chand, footballer Sandesh Jhinghan, woman cricketer Deepti Sharma, woman boxer Lovlina Borgohain and Indian luge legend Shiva Keshavan are some of the big names to be shortlisted, an official source told PTI. Rower Dattu Bhokannal, boxer Manish Kaushik, wrestler Rahul Aware, recurve archer Atanu Das, women's hockey team player Deepika Thakur, kabaddi player Deepak Hooda, tennis player Divij Sharan, woman paddler Madhurima Patkar and badminton men's doubles pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy. The 31-year-old Ishant has played 97 Tests and 80 ODIs for India, grabbing over 400 international wickets. This is the first time in the history of awards that five athletes have been recommended for the top sporting accolade with the final decision resting on sports minister Kiren Rijiju. In 2016, four athletes -- star shuttler P V Sindhu, gymnast Dipa Karmakar, shooter Jitu Rai, and wrestler Sakshi Malik -- were collectively given this award. The 33-year-old Rohit will only be the fourth cricketer after Sachin Tendulkar, just-retired Mahendra Singh Dhoni and current skipper Virat Kohli to be conferred with the Khel Ratna. Tendulkar was the first Indian cricketer to get the honour in 1998, followed by Dhoni in 2007 and Kohli in 2018. Kohli won it jointly with weightlifter Mirabai Chanu. The committee, comprising the likes of Virender Sehwag and former hockey captain Sardar Singh, met at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) headquarters here and finalised the names after deliberations that took up the first half of the day. While Rohit has been recognised for his ever-rising accomplishments with the bat, Vinesh has been rewarded for her gold medals in the 2018 Commonwealth and Asian Games besides a bronze in the 2019 Asian Wrestling Championships. Terming it as one of the biggest moments of her career, Vinesh promised to live upto the expectations associated with the award. "It's a proud moment for me. It was a long wait but it was worthwhile. If God permits I would live up to the reputation associated with this award," Vinesh said. Thangavelu is being rewarded for his gold medal in the 2016 Rio Paralympics in the T42 high jump category. T42 applies to athletes with single above the knee amputations or a disability that is comparable. Star paddler Manika was recommended for her remarkable performance in 2018, a year during which she won the Commonwealth Games gold medal and Asian Games bronze in women's singles. Rani is the lone female hockey player to have been recommended for the honour. Before Rani, only Dhanraj Pillay (2000) and Sardar Singh (2017) won the prestigious award. Sardar, incidentally, was a part of the 12-member selection committee this year. "Rani's name was a late inclusion after some members wanted a discussion on her nomination. After due deliberation, everyone felt that she deserves the recognition for her achievements," a source close to the development told PTI. In a first, this year's National Sports Awards ceremony, which normally held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, is likely to be conducted virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with all the winners logging in from their respective places to hear their names being announced on August 29. August 29 is celebrated as the National Sports Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand. The Khel Ratna comprises a medallion, a certificate, and a cash pri..

Culture Of India - To See And Experience In India
Find all the culture of India through our travel guide India. Information on monuments in India, places not to be missed, to visit during your trip to India from Mexico. Do not miss your trip to India with our cultural guide to India. India is distinguished from other destinations by its incredible cultural treasure, which comes in part from its rich historical past. India has long been regarded as a land with an impressive cultural heritage and a colorful and flourishing folk culture. For years this country has experienced leaders from other countries like the Rajputs, the Mughals, the British and the Portuguese. In addition, many religions have marked the times like Buddhism, Jainism ... So all these riches have had a strong impact on the culture of India. Through its past, its dances, its architecture, its festivities, its languages, its beliefs, its customs and its styles of life, India is one of the most vibrant and culturally rich countries in the world.
Indian Music
The origin of Indian music is found in the beliefs of its inhabitants. According to Indian mythology, it is through music that Brahma created the universe. Note that Indian music is not written. In the past, it had to be passed on to the disciples and kept in the memory. Indian classical music is therefore largely based on improvisation around the musical scheme.
Indian Dance
The country of spices has many dances related to religion and in accordance with the music of the country. There are different schools for each regional style. Indeed, we can cite the Kerala Kathakali which mixes theater, dance and music to tell the great episodes of mythology. The forms of dance are diverse: the dances of temples such as Bharatnatyam, Odissi, and Mohiniyattam symbolize the victory of good over evil. Kathak and Kuchipudi represent religious and mythological tales with the accompaniment of music, mime and dance. Finally, the Manipuri and the Dandiya Raas content the love story of Radha and Krishna (a couple that embodies love, passion and dedication).
Indian Customs And Beliefs
India also has many customs according to the religions in which one finds oneself. Among the most famous Hindu customs, one can highlight: vegetarianism for the sake of respect for all forms of life and the crucial importance of marriage which is one of the first causes of family debt. Some habits and customs are to be taken into account when traveling in India. For example, the use of the left hand is exclusively reserved for impure tasks. Finally, in Sikhism the classes are abolished, the consumption of meat is permitted, but not that of tobacco. Sikhs are supposed to carry the 5 K's: uncut hair and beards, a comb, loose pants, a steel bracelet and a sword.
Museums And Sights
Delhi, the capital will show you the various treasures that the country has with its many museums, delicious restaurants, sumptuous monuments and cultural events. The city is divided into two parts: Old Delhi and New Delhi. You will find the New Delhi Bazaars between Jama Masjid Mosque and Chandni Chowk Avenue. You will not find anywhere else like that between shouting salespeople, chatting customers and rickshaw picking their way through this huge crowd. Even if the city has a bad reputation because of its overpopulation, spend a day there to discover its countless monuments, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site Humayun Tomb. Do not miss the visit of the red fort, the emblem of the capital. The Jama Masjid Mosque is a monument not to be missed in your visit to the capital. She is the perfect example of the cultural and religious mix of Delhi. The highlight of your visit to the country is of course the city of Agra, located 2 hours by train from Delhi, it is the cradle where the Taj Mahal rests. Emperor Shah Jahan had built this house to the glory of his deceased wife. In Goa, you can bask in its seaside resorts with coconut palms, beaches and tropical atmosphere, while enjoying a visit to religious sites like the caves of Ellora. For an Indian movie, head to Mumbai, the film capital of the country. South India is full of unforgettable landscapes as in Kerala, where you can admire its endless beaches and its thousand and one night palace. Despite its traffic jams, constant din and pollution, Bombay will satisfy you for its many bazaars, trendy shops, trendy establishments and numerous remains.
Sports And Recreation In India
In India the national sport is field hockey even though cricket is a passion sport in the country. India's reputation in cricket is well established and some players like Sachin Tendulkar are considered stars. The matches are watched by the entire population. Football is also very popular in the north-east of the country and especially in Calcutta. Since 1996, the country has its own national football championship. Other traditional sports in India include Gilli-Danda, Kho-Kho and Kabaddi, popular throughout the country. All this without forgetting the ancient martial art of Kalarippayat and yoga. Yoga, a true symbol of India. Yoga is a discipline aimed, through meditation, moral asceticism and physical exercises, to achieve the unification of the human being in its physical, psychic and spiritual aspects. There is not a yoga but yoga’s. The term yoga means union of body and mind through breathing. We combine physical and respiratory exercises. Among the most famous postures we can mention the posture on the head, the lotus and the salute to the sun. It allows one to find oneself and to obtain a spiritual ascent. To experience all the cultures of India yes, it’s possible if you choose the best delhi agra rajasthan tour package, where you can explore the whole culture in one trip to India. Asian Games 2018: From burden of history to selection blunders, what failed the Indian kabaddi team
India’s gold medal in the kabaddi event at 1990 Asian Games in Beijing had more significance than being the first ever yellow metal dished out for kabaddi at the quadrennial Games. For India, it was a saving grace, as it averted the nation from the ignominy of returning from the Asian Games without a gold in its kitty for the first time ever.
Since then, a kabaddi gold at the Asiad has been India’s prerogative. Unpunctuated success has been a hallmark of Indian kabaddi teams at continental championships, and with every passing edition, the feeling of inevitability around the outcome has grown stronger. Opponents have improved, contests have become closer, but India’s legacy in kabaddi has remained unscathed.
At Jakarta, where India landed with a squad oozing with generational talents, the script was expected to be no different. But one calamity led to another and India find themselves being forced to play audience to a final they have never missed before.
South Korea who became the first team to beat India in a World Cup match in 2016, repeated the feat at the Asian Games with a 24-23 win in the group phase. It set a nervy India on collision course with Iran in the semi-finals. Desperate for their first ever victory over India after three defeats in the previous finals – 2010 Asian Games, 2014 Asian Games and 2016 Kabaddi World Cup, Iran presented a strong, ruthless and a united front. They out-muscled and out-thought India throughout the forty minutes to hand them their heaviest defeat. A 27-18 score line spelt the end of India’s campaign and arguably their monopoly in the sport.
But how did it happen? How did India lose its golden touch in kabaddi? What went wrong for the battery of Pro Kabaddi superstars who arrived in Jakarta with not just the reputation but also ability of winning kabaddi matches with authority? Let’s analyse.
