You should do a prompt about Sammy during a key moment in her childhood (or early years if her species don't start out as kids)

(Sammy goes by he/him X) but yes I will write for him!)

Set just after The Fall, when Lucy finds him

"You need a name. People tend to have names."

The human -Lucy, she said to refer to her as- paced back and forth in front of him, her footsteps light and delicate. He thought for a moment

"I like your name."

Lucy snorted, her eyes bright with laughter. "Maybe not. It'll get confusing. No, you need something that's yours. I think Mom's still got her old baby name book somewhere, let me go find it."

He watched her go, before turning his attention to the room. He'd already grasped a strong idea of objects, thanks to the Memory Replication she'd allowed him to perform. Table, lamp, bed, mirror, he knew what these things were without having ever seen them before.

Mirror.

It reflected back a face that was new to him. Three bright green eyes, framed by indigo hair. His skin was violet. This was him, was it?

He knew he hadn't quite got the human look perfected, but he quite liked the face looking back at him.

"Found it!"

Lucy padded back in, nudging the door closed with her foot as her only hand was occupied. She set the book down beside him with a soft thump, before perching on the other end of the bed.

"Wasn't where I'd expected, I forgot the folks haven't used it since picking my name. They had Ellen's name already chosen from the start." She flipped the book open, tapping the page, "Have a look in there, see if you find something you like the sound of."

Humans had so many names. It was a little overwhelming really, scanning pages and pages of names. How was he supposed to choose just one? And how could he like the sound of it if it was written down? You didn't hear writing, you read it.

"I- I don't know." This was... fear? Anger? He couldn't quite place the emotion. He was still figuring those out.

"It's alright." Lucy soothed, shifting closer to sit where she could see the pages, "Whereabouts are you?"

"Can't you pick for me?" He practically begged, "I don't know if I'll pick the right one."

All of this was so new. He'd never had a name before, he'd barely even had a body. Lucy's mind had given him a good grasp as to facts, yes, but there was so many, so much going on-

"Hey, hey, cool it. You're shaking." Lucy reached out, gently squeezing his hand. She was quiet for a while, clearly thinking.

"What about Sammy? It's nice and casual, rolls off the tongue."

"Sammy..."

He liked it. He -Sammy, his name was Sammy!- smiled appreciatively.

"Sammy's good. I like it."

"Good. Now, one more thing before you join the human race... purple skin, how attached are you to the colour?"

he  swats  halfheartedly  at  her  hands,  expression  contorting  in  a  look  of  mild IRRITATION.  ordinarily  such  a  comment  would  no  doubt  provoke  a  more  incensed  reaction  from  the  former  harbinger  —  yet  ren  feels as though he already knows  her  type.  (  perhaps  because  he's  much  the  same.  )  he  knows  giving  an  overblown  response  is  precisely  what  she's  looking  for,  and  he  is  nothing  if  not  a  fan  of  making  things  as  DIFFICULT  as  possible.  for  everyone.  himself  included. ( especially himself. )

❝ really.  ❞ he replies flatly. ❝ you look ANNOYING.  ❞

he's  silent,  nodding  here  and  there  as  she  outlines  the  details  of  her  plan.  though  ren  makes  it  a  point  to  keep  his  expression  deliberately  unreadable  (  as  to  not  INFLUENCE  her  either  way  )  he's  quick  to  give  his  opinion  once  amanda  is  done  speaking.   ❝  propping  yourself  up  as  a  concerned  third  party ...  not  bad.  you  could  even  use  the  fact  that  you're probably  just  some  innocent  kid  in  her  eyes  to  your  advantage.  she's  less  likely  to  suspect  you  have  ulterior  motives.  ❞  he's  no  stranger  to  weaponizing  his  own  harmless-seeming  visage;  its  effectiveness  is  as  amusing  as  it  is  mildly insulting.

❝  i  suppose  you'll  have  no  shortage  of  interesting  things  to  stave  off  BOREDOM  while  i'm  gone ...  ❞  that's  good;  it  lessens  his  chances  of  returning  to  find  amanda  with  an  arrow  in  her  other  shoulder.  now, is  there  anything  else  he  needs  to  tend  to  before  he  leaves?  a  pause,  a  thoughtful  hum.

❝  do  you ...  want  anything?  ❞  the  words  stumble  from  his  lips,  clumsy  and  awkward  and  a  touch  self-conscious.  ren  feels  a  bit  ridiculous  even  asking  —  but  he  oft  makes  it  a  POINT  to  bring  back  souvenirs  for  taiyang  when  obligation  pulls  him  away  for  extended  periods  of  time.  a  voice  in  the  back  of  his  mind  reminds  him  there's  a  difference  between  family  and  student,  yet  it's  strangely  lacking  in  much  of  his  usual  conviction.  (  he  chooses  not  to  think  about  it.  )

Her disappointment has faded away at the small bit of praise, the smile fully caught and replacing her sadness with confidence that she'd still do just fine without him. Even with the injury, she was clearly still keeping her game up if Ren was praising her. It wasn't entirely rare, but it wasn't given out for nothing, either. Seems her sneaky behavior really was paying out, unlike how her grandma would chide her.

Amanda hums at the question given to her, thinking it over for a moment. It felt like a pop quiz, so she wanted to get the answer right. She brings a hand to her chin, tapping it with her pointer finger and switching back to common, "I think I'd... I'd give her a note under the guise of just being a messenger, telling her about the inn he frequents and how I've seen other women with him. I'd stay around the area she frequents for a few days so I'm not there at the scene, and then she'd likely be already wanting to thank me in some way after the dust had settled a bit." It was a bit schemey, but she doubted her teacher would mind something like that. He might even give her praise again.

Clarinet, accordion, classic guitar!

clarinet (favourite cartoon): that's a hard one cuz i love cartoons but for all-time fave cartoons: i think it'd be a tie between scooby doo (classic & what's new) and grizzly tales for gruesome kids (which was like a uk version of tales from the crypt mixed with the twilight zone but exclusively for kids and it was excellent).

accordion (favourite kind/flavour of tea): i'm the uk traditionalist when it comes to tea ksdkjs but brand-wise it'd be either pg tips (the pyramids), tetley's or yorkshire tea w/ two sugars and a lil bit of milk so it's brick red.

classic guitar (first band/artist i remember liking): through my parents and my aunt it's tied between queen, black sabbath, ub40, genesis, the clash, status quo, and green day, while from my own discoveries, it'd be blink-182 and bowling for soup

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Whether she decides to encourage him or not, it seems like it'll just give him more reasons to lash out. It isn't like she lacks patience, far from it, she lacks the steady hand meant to properly guide him towards the right path.

Is there even something like that? The right path to take.

Of course not, there's no such thing as an absolute truth in this world, clear cut divisions between right and wrong are inexistent. Yet, people continue to cling to their perceived morality. Anything that'll make them feel better, anything that'll give them meaning.

"... Things really would be better for you," would they? The reality is that, whether Kamille had piloted the MK-II or not is irrelevant. The AEUG would've still attempted to steal a prototype, and, maybe they would've come out of there with one less mobile suit.

"If I had a say on it, I wish you weren't here, Kamille." It's the truth, harsh - and she doesn't even know if it'll do more harm than good, but they're her honest feelings. And, that's what Kamille deserves. Honesty.

If she was someone else - if she was Emma, or Reccoa. His anger would've been increased tenfold by virtue of being corrected by a superior officer. However, she's never been keen on such tactics. Violence in general doesn't suit her.

"I-I'm just asking for your point of view, I don't want to know what Lt. Quattro has told you... I want to know what you think. It may sound hypocritical coming from me, but... it's important to form your own opinions, regardless of your situation, or how you came to be in this position.

which i guess is to be expected?? but like..... agh i don't know how to explain it... and like another thing i wonder about him is how he got loose in the first place? because he was considered a Calamity eight years ago, and that's not a really long time. considering how long he's lived thus far, you would think he'd be more guarded right? like i don't think even fukuchi would have that big of a power to just waltz in and borrow him for a couple weeks KSDKJS; it's not like bram can hide around wherever considering his body either, so the chances of him being held captive is higher than him being a constant runaway, unless we haven't seen the true extent of his ability and that if he can dematerialize or shapeshift like the typical vampire trope

the reason i want to learn about him is because he Did turn people into his kin, he did do that up until he was dubbed as a calamity, in which he stopped and even stated he had no interest when he was presented akutagawa nor inflicting further chaos with fukuchi. and like to me, this begs the question, did he make use of his ability before to inflict chaos? or did he do it out of necessity? and if so, what kind of necessity?

his existence brings more questions, and the more he exposes little pieces about his life brings way more questions than answers, but honestly, i find it fun about his character KJSDKJDSJK

as for headcanons?

uhh for one, i feel like his music tastes go from medieval classics up to 80s pop... typical typical i know!!!! it's just judging from his character more so than him being a vampire...... i don't think he particularly likes very loud sounds in his music, and with aya having him listen to 80s pop, i think they would both bond over indie pop...

i also think bram isn't that ancient, he's only probably almost a century old or 2 centuries old? but i'm not exactly well-versed in history so i'm not sure exactly what time period he'd live in to have experienced a backstory like that or speak the way he does :(

and lastly, i don't think that his ability can revive a dead human beyond getting turned into a mindless vampire... i did remember a fic where it did a bit of both, where the character was 5 steps away from death when they got turned back to human, so i guess that could work as well, i forgot what fic it was though.....
