Golden Lovers
Golden☆Lovers (ゴールデン☆ラヴァーズ, Gōruden☆Ravāzu) is the professional wrestling tag team of Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi. The team was formed in January 2009 in the Japanese DDT Pro-Wrestling promotion, where, over the next five years, they won the KO-D Tag Team Championship on two occasions. The team also made appearances for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), where they won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship once. The team disbanded when Omega left DDT in October 2014. Omega and Ibushi reunited at The New Beginning in Sapporo in January 2018.In July 2008, Canadian wrestler Kenny Omega started his first Japanese tour with the DDT Pro-Wrestling promotion, where he quickly became friends with Kota Ibushi,[2] with the two forming a tag team named "Golden☆Lovers" in January 2009. On January 24, Ibushi and Omega defeated Harashima and Toru Owashi to win the KO-D Tag Team Championship for the first time. After one successful defense, they lost the title to Francesco Togo and Piza Michinoku on May 10. Over the following years, Omega and Ibushi established themselves as one of the top tag teams on the Japanese independent circuit. On January 31, 2010, the Golden☆Lovers made their debut for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), defeating Gedo and Jado by referee stoppage, when Jado was legitimately injured. Afterwards, the Golden☆Lovers engaged in a rivalry with Apollo 55, a tag team made up of Prince Devitt and Ryusuke Taguchi. On October 11 at NJPW's Destruction '10 event, the Golden☆Lovers defeated Apollo 55 to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship, in a match that was later named the 2010 Match of the Year by Tokyo Sports, becoming the first junior heavyweight tag team match in history to win the award. After making successful title defenses against Apollo 55 and the team of Gedo and Jado, with both matches taking place back in DDT, Ibushi and Omega lost the title back to Apollo 55 on January 23, 2011, during NJPW's Fantastica Mania 2011 weekend. The Golden☆Lovers received a rematch for the title on August 14, but were again defeated by Apollo 55. Meanwhile in DDT, Ibushi and Omega came together with Gota Ihashi to form the Golden☆Rendezvous~ stable, with the three holding the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championship from May 26 to June 23, 2013. On January 26, 2014, the Golden☆Lovers won the KO-D Tag Team Championship for the second time by defeating reigning champions Yankii Nichokenju (Isami Kodaka and Yuko Miyamoto) and the team of Konosuke Takeshita and Tetsuya Endo in a three-way match. On April 12, Ibushi and Omega became double champions, when the two, along with the newest member of the Golden☆Rendezvous~ stable, Daisuke Sasaki, defeated Team Drift (Keisuke Ishii, Shigehiro Irie and Soma Takao) for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championship. The trio's reign lasted until May 4, when they were defeated by Shuten-dōji (Kudo, Masa Takanashi and Yukio Sakaguchi) in their second defense. Ibushi and Omega continued holding the KO-D Tag Team Championship until September 28, 2014, when they were defeated by Konosuke Takeshita and Tetsuya Endo.On October 3, 2014, Omega announced he was leaving DDT and signing with NJPW, where Ibushi was already a semi-regular. However, with Ibushi having recently moved to NJPW's heavyweight division, Omega stated that the Golden☆Lovers were done as a tag team due to him wanting to remain in the junior heavyweight division. The Golden☆Lovers wrestled their final match together on October 26, 2014, when they defeated Danshoku Dino and Konosuke Takeshita in Omega's DDT farewell match.
On January 28, 2018, the Golden☆Lovers were apparently reformed after Omega was seemingly kicked out of Bullet Club and attacked by fellow member Cody. Ibushi made the save for Omega as Bullet Club fled the scene. At first, Omega refused to shake Ibushi's hand, but moments after, both Omega and Ibushi emotionally embraced as confetti fell to the ring. At Honor Rising: Japan Night 2 on February 24, the Golden☆Lovers won their return match as a team against Cody and Marty Scurll. After the match, Omega and Ibushi were confronted by The Young Bucks and challenged to a match at Strong Style Evolved on March 25, which the Golden☆Lovers won. At Dominion 6.9 in Osaka-jo Hall, Omega defeated Kazuchika Okada to win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. After the match, Omega reunited with The Young Bucks, forming the Golden☆Elite along with Ibushi. On the finals of the World Tag League, Ibushi defeated Hirooki Goto to win the NEVER Openweight Championship. At Wrestle Kingdom, Ibushi lost the NEVER Openweight Championship to Will Ospreay and Omega lost the IWGP Heavyweight Championship to Hiroshi Tanahashi. At the end of January, Omega left NJPW to join All Elite Wrestling in the United States meanwhile Ibushi stayed in NJPW full-time, disbanding for the second time.

IWGP Intercontinental Championship: Tetsuya Naito [Los Ingobernables] d. Jay White [Bullet Club] © (Destino, 33:54) - White fails his 2nd defense - Naito is the 24th champion
IWGP Heavyweight Championship: Kazuchika Okada [CHAOS] © d. Kota Ibushi (Rainmaker, 39:16) - Okada succeeds his 5th defense
A lot to unpack here. Okada remains the IWGP Heavyweight champion, whilst Naito ascends to the Double Gold Dash match tonight. A lot of history here between the two, especially where Wrestle Kingdoms are concerned, but also, not a lot of chemistry. So this match will be interesting. Kota Ibushi WILL be an IWGP Heavyweight champion, mark my words.
Hiromu Takahashi wins in an absolute thriller, possibly match of the night, and is reunited with Belt-san. Wrestling is absolutely richer for Hiromu being back in it. And now, Jushin Thunder Liger’s final wrestling match will feature the IWGP Juniorheavyweight Champion, and that is beautiful and only right. Liger’s match on this card was stunning as well, 50+ year olds throwing bombs and doing dive & flips. Taguchi going over is the right result here too, as he (well, and Tiger Mask IV too) are going to have to be the seniors of the division now. Definitely watch that match. There may not be a dry eye in the Dome later tonight.
Another man was reunited with a belt he never lost, Jon Moxley. This match was complete insanity, and worked very well given the two competitors. Now Moxley will face Juice Robinson, who himself became a champion, FinJuice becoming the first brand new IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team champions in quite some time. Slyly, NJPW have booked it so there may be not one but TWO double champions by the time tonight’s show ends. But let’s not dismiss how well David FInlay has done since his return, and indeed, he got the win here.
The remaining 8-man tags were... meh. The CHAOS v. Bullet Club one could have been used to run another feature singles match, quite honestly. The LIJ v. Suzuki-gun one... interesting, as ZSJ gets his win back over BUSHI from the final show of 2019, but also, the entrance did NOT feature “Kaze Ni Nare,” Suzuki barely feature in the match, and going by a picture on Twitter, was not even in the backstage interview area (much). There are heavy rumors that Suzuki will be at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s show at Tokyo Korakuen Hall tonight (themselves, running a sold out show at the Hall DURING WK14 last night), which would be a shame if that’s how Suzuki’s NJPW tenure ends this time around.
The STARDOM Exhibition Match went off, and was apparently well received by those in attendance.
On that note, the attendance was listed as 40,008, a legitimate sell-out of the Tokyo Dome, going higher than last year’s number. So Takaaki Kidani’s mission was accomplished.
All in all, a top show, very much worth (re-)watching. Given tonight, I’d advise you do so before then, haha.
Here, then, is tonight’s full card. The show begins live at 12am EST / 11pm CST / 9pm PST with the Comedy Titles Gauntlet match, followed by the final wrestling match in the career of Keiichi Yamada, Jushin Thunder Liger. See you then.
- January 5, 2020, Tokyo Dome (NJPWWorld, FITE TV)

The Golden Lovers Story, Most Beautiful Gay Story in Wrestling Industry
Kota Ibushi (left) and Kenny Omega after their reunion match in Honor Rising 2018. (doc.Voxcatch.fr)
For those of you who watches pro-wrestling probably glad with reunion of Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi dubbed as Golden Lovers. Both man has been long known as one of prolific tag team in pro-wrestling business, especially in Japan. Golden Lovers most notably known with their heated rivalry with Apollo 55, Ryusuke Taguchi and Prince Devitt (now Finn Balor in WWE). But did you know that Golden Lovers is more than meets the eye? They’re not just a tag team, they like brother to each other or you could say long lost sibling.
Story of Golden Lovers is a complex one. For me, they are bromance goals, some would say a happy gay love story but i don’t care as long as they delivers and produce great matches. This story begins around 2008 when Omega’s friend showed him videos of Kota Ibushi working with Japanese promotion, Dramatic Dream Team (DDT). This promotion most notably known because of their comedic matches. Okay, after that Omega seems hooked with Ibushi and thinks that is his destiny to fight him. So he create a challenge video then uploaded it to Youtube. Luckily, DDT saw the video and invite him to Japan and they agreed for a match.
Their first encounter happens in summer 2008 when Ibushi winning after a phoenix splash from top of vending machine. Yes, you read that right, a vending machine. This match also involving scene at the parkit lot and boxes of werehouse. After the match, these duo fell to their emotion, Omega indeed crying covered in sweat. This led to Ibushi responds by saying i love you to Omega.
Early 2009, Omega finally sign a contract with DDT and offically making him part of the roster. DDT claims that the Canadian one is full of potential and could be a great rival for Ibushi. But Omega and Ibushi says no, they don’t want to fight each other they want to be a team, a tag team. Somehow DDT agreed and named them Golden Brothers because their different ethnicities. Later both says they have different name in mind. Thus the Golden Lovers is born.
At first, their gay gimmick seems creepy and many jeered towards them. As time goes by they become beloved and multi time tag team champion in DDT. Golden Lovers become fan favourite with their combining of gay gimmick and multiple sync moves, they put on some of the best chemistry back then. Omega also said that their end goal is marriage. About a year after formed, they go to New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) to rise their name in wrestling business.
In NJPW they engaged a rivalry with Apollo 55 and on October 11, 2010, they win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship, in a match that later named as 2010 match of the year by Tokyo Sports. Golden Lovers then defends the title in their home promotion against former champion and team of Gedo and Jado. Their run ended early January 2011 when they lost the title back to Apollo 55.
This is the time when things start to run differently for both of them. They still formed Golden Lovers, but Ibushi getting more singles opportunites and wins championships. Many wrestling journalist saying what differ them is their talent. Ibushi is naturally talented while Omega is kinda hard working and never give up person, they like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo of professional wrestling. This led to their second encounter when Ibushi succesfully defends his KO-D Openweight championship.
As time goes by, they are getting less and less fight side by side. Yes they twice won KO-D six man championships with temporary third man. But Ibushi making less appearance for DDT as he signs full time contract with NJPW, making him exclusive for both promotion. With NJPW, Ibushi entered a heated rivalry with Prince Devitt where both competing for IWGP Junior Heavyweight title and Best of Super Junior series. He even briefly goes up to heavyweight classes to be a part of G1 Climax tournament.
Meanwhile, Omega starts his time as singles competitor in DDT. Winning single titles such as KO-D Openweight championship and DDT Extreme Division Championship defeating like of El Generico (Sami Zayn in WWE) and Isami Odaka.
In 2014 Ibushi announce that he move up to heavyweight class. Later that year, Omega signs full time contract with NJPW after his DDT paper expires but still remain in junior heavyweight class. October 2014, Golden Lovers wrestle their last match for DDT in winning way. Month later, Omega make his debut under NJPW contract and revealed as the newest member of Bullet Club, very popular stable in NJPW consisting of foreigners who works in NJPW or simply called gaijin.
Their first meeting in NJPW came when Omega cost Ibushi a IWGP Heavyweight match against AJ Styles, which at that time is the leader of Bullet Club. While Ibushi compete in heavyweight class, Omega makes a name for himself in junior heavyweight division. He wins IWGP Junior Heavyweight title on January 4, 2015 at Wrestle Kingdom 9 defeating Taguchi, then succesfully defend it against Mascara Dorada (Gran Metalik in WWE) and Alex Shelley. On July 5, he lost the title to KUSHIDA and won it again two months later before lost it back to KUSHIDA on January 4, 2016 at Wrestle Kingdom 10.
A day later, Omega and the rest of Bullet Club turned on AJ Styles and named as the new leader while simultaneously declared he is now heavyweight. While Omega rose to main eventer scene in NJPW the opposite happened to Ibushi. Having two full time contracts burnt him out as his neck injuries keeps nagging him. He then subsequently waive those contracts and becoming freelancer. He also participates in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) inaugural Cruiserweight Classic tournament. Ibushi made it to semifinal where he defeated by then champion, TJ Perkins.
While Ibushi battling in CWC, Omega entered 2016 G1 Climax tournament and wins it, the first gaijin to do so. Eventhough they’re apart, they keep referencing each other. Omega always does Ibushi’s move along G1 Climax, while Ibushi’s gear includes a wing symbol referencing Omega’s finisher move One Winged Angel.
After winning G1, Omega state that he is now surpassed Ibushi as singles competitor while saying he’s waiting for Ibushi here in New Japan while doing his best. Ibushi then responds in separate interview,”You’re lonely aren’t you? Well, i’m right here. Waiting.” As time goes on, both are live their separate lives. Omega making historic three six stars matches with Kazuchika Okada and become first NJPW United States Champion, while Ibushi doing comedic wrestling things such as set up fireworks in his chest, wrestle a sex doll, and fought in merry-go-round theme park and dressed as cartoon character, Tiger Mask W, in NJPW.
And finally the G1 climax season come. Omega of course participates as defending champion. Surprise came when Ibushi also announced as participant but both are placed separate block. Through the G1 Climax there’s a hope that former Golden Lovers will meet each other in finals, including me. Sadly that’s not happen, only Omega makes it to finals. He then lost to eventual champion, Tetsuya Naito. At the backstage after the lost, Ibushi comes to see wounded Omega. They briefly talk before slowly push Ibushi away. This is also first time both meet after 2015 betrayal with AJ Styles.
Ibushi then engaged a rivalry with Bullet Club member, Cody. Both met at Wrestle Kingdom 12 and the golden star emerge victorious following phoenix splash. This match also has tremendous spot when Cody cross-rhodes Ibushi from appron to floor. A day after WK12, Cody is victorious in tag match against Ibushi. After that Cody and Bullet Club trying to beat down Ibushi. When former WWE star wants to hit with a chair, Omega comes and save Ibushi from beat down. He’s risking to lose Bullet Club after once he leave Ibushi for Bullet Club.
Weeks later, Omega lost the US championship to Jay White. After the match, fellow Bullet Club member, Hangman Page, come to the ring, snatch the belt and challenge White. But Omega neglect him and give the belt back to White. An angered Cody then give Omega cross-rhodes and put Omega’s Bullet Club status questioned. Ibushi then runs in through the crowd to save Omega from further beatdown and offers a handshake.
Omega refuse the handshake and seems self-loathingly after betraying Ibushi. When he want to leave Ibushi pulls him and both man shares hug while embracing tears, cheers, and confetti. The Golden Lovers are finally back together.
In an interview after that, Omega declares he always thinks The Golden Lovers are the best team and he miss it. Their relationship probably one most important things in his life. The Canadian also saying that he always waiting for Ibushi, that’s why he doen’t leave NJPW. Golden Lovers also do a adoreable documentary about their reunion and training to together to find rhythm again. And finally at Honor Rising 2018 on February 23 and 24 these duo fighting again side by side againts some Bullet Club member.
For myself The Golden Lovers storyline is probably one of tear jerking moment in professional wrestling. It’s hard to say whether it’s real or kayfabe (wrestling term for fiction story), they stands in blurred line but the fact is many people touched by this happy gay love story. This also proof that gay isn’t a taboo thing in wrestling business.
Professional wrestling is a form of mixed art with athletic sport. There’s no room for homophobe people especially when Omega is reportedly literally bisexual. Like The Rock says, it doesn’t matter if true or not. Just let them deliver storyline and we criticize it in well manner fashion.
It’s interesting where this storyline goes. So many speculations created by internet wrestling community, whether it’s Ibushi joining Bullet Club, Omega kicked out, or there’s gonna be new faction formed. One thing to say from me, i don’t want any betrayal again in Golden Lovers. They’re like meant to be each other. I prefer both battling each other for coveted prize, maybe Kenny Omega vs Kota Ibushi in IWGP Heavyweight championship match? I hope it comes true.
P.S: Big thanks to Simpsons Reference (@EffingBoring) on twitter for his shared information in his tweets. Also for profightdb.com and cagematch.com for their stats and tokyo-sports.co for interviews that quoted.

The week in review:
Raw 10/05 NXT 10/07 NXT UK 10/08 Smackdown 10/09 + Main Event 10/08
Raw:
“This Asuka reign has been spectacular thus far,” d e b a t a b l e
Is Asuka continuing her feud with Zelina? If so, why? If not, why is this 6 woman match happening? Just spinning your wheels some more?
It’s been an interesting experience watching Dana grow throughout the years. Also nice flip by Nattie off of Dana’s headscissors takedown.
Love to see Dana and Mandy matching colors. Tag teams matching gear is my jam. Next is a theme song/name.
Lovely delayed double suplex by Dandy.
Small mistake in Mandy nearly falling over, but I mostly want to compliment the slide her boots did against the mat lmao. That was probably unintended, but looked super smooth.
I actually like Mandy now that she’s not imitating a stripper, but I’d really appreciate it if she could learn new trash talk that isn’t just, “who do you think you are,” repeated ad nauseam.
I don’t watch Main Event, but they should consider having Mandy and Dana wrestle more on there if they don’t already. Those are 2 that can use the consistent practice.
There’s so many minor things Natalya does to keep matches together with greener women. She deserves more respect.
Man these women work incredibly well together. Asuka, Nattie, Dana, Lana, Mandy... so cohesive. Loved that entire ending sequence from the moment Lana and Asuka tagged in. Lana has really increased her speed as well.
I am here to dole out positive praise for the blondes that nobody gives any credit to. Remembering where Dana was in 2016, Lana was in 2017, or even Mandy was in 2018, and seeing them all now? They get my applause. The midcard on Raw is entertaining, sue me. Fun match.
pppfffftttttt love how Zelina just slowly slinks outta the ring like, “yeahhhh have fun with that, this ain’t my fight peace.”
Alright ngl, I am now starting to get sad that Lana is getting rekt nearly every week. rip. First match of the night btw and the commentators are losing their desk lmao.
Does KO have to spell out everything happening in wrestling? Sir I actually pay attention to the stories y’all be telling me. Can I get a condensed version?
“He’s everywhere,” Alexa is creepy and compelling, I’m gonna keep singing her praises til she gives me a reason not to.
I personally just hope Fiend uses new gloves for every new victim, what with covid and all.
“Bury a body together in the woods,” SIR.
I like that Alexa is kept separate from Bray and is solely attached to Fiend. I know that’s going to change, but for now, I like that line being drawn in the sand.
Omg he shed tears. Whew.
Why y’all allergic to showcasing Bianca against people who I fucking recognize lmao.
Again, I know she’s a college graduate. I know she’s smart on some fucking level. Telling me why the sky is blue (cept not really as it just appears that way) AIN’T IT THOUGH.
Put her in a match, that’s where she needs the most work. Jesus.
Oh good we get to hear Nia’s music on the way to the ring. She has the superior theme.
Nia body checking Ruby in the corner. I felt that.
I like Shayna’s joint manipulation, I only wish she’d wear down her opponents before she started in on it, cuz it drastically slows down the pacing of the match. There’s a spot for it if you get the momentum of the match going first, but she almost always just jumps straight into this.
Ruby getting rekt. What Riott Squad need is a good showing. Not to be damn near demolished. I doubt anyone actually expected them to win this match, but come on.
At least Shayna sold the tornado ddt well.
Meh could’ve been a better showing for RS. Kind of disappointing. Liv didn’t even use any offense to break the Kirifuda Clutch, just yelled dramatically af. Tears galore.
Highlight: Seeing Lana/Mandy/Dana improve & work cohesively with veterans in Nattie & Asuka

NXT:
Isn’t nxt supposed to be the brand that hides a performer’s weakness? Why does Ember Moon have a mic in the middle of the ring? Have her do a quick interview in the back, or better yet wrestle. Hello??
Don’t thank them, they are your coworkers, and only one of them even said welcome back. sigh.
GIRL I’M SHOCKED THEY LET YOU TALK ON THE MIC TOO like for what reason???
This is why Ember Moon will never be a champion on the main roster jfc. At least she can get away with being nxt champ if she refrains from speaking.
Well damn I was actually interested in Rhea’s promo, thanks a lot Raquel smh.
Io’s like “...nah, I’m good right here.”
Io is a woman of few words, but they are always flawlessly spoken and drenched in logic. Still a huge fan of her as champion.
Storytime. Becky Lynch has named 2 people as potential break out stars that could reach (close to) the heights she has reached. Sonya Deville was one, whom I believe Becky was right on the money with, and Toni Storm was the other. Now I don’t see whatever the hell Becky sees in Toni, but damn it if she was right about Sonya, I want her to be right about Toni as well. So I hope this heel turn actually brings the fire, decent acting, and passable promos from her.
Toni has a swagger you can’t teach; she has an aura and confidence to her. There are just some pieces that have been missing. We’ll see though, I’ll give her a clean slate to win me over.
*The Garganos receive a gift* No.
I kind of like that there’s an unspoken agreement between Raquel and Dakota that Dakota is the star who should win the title, with no lingering feelings of animosity or resentment between them.
Anyway Dakota you lost to Io, plz lol.
*The Garganos see potential in Indi Hartwell* No.
I hate Shotzi’s entrance and dialogue so damn much lmao. She’s so annoying, I’m not sorry. I’ll give her props in the ring where I see fit, but her personality is such a turn off to me.
Such a short match that I have nothing to say about it. Good for Shotzi gaining some momentum. Still waiting to see where Xia Li goes with these losses amounting.
Cool one of the best themes has been changed :/ rip Ember’s og theme.
Sloppy, sloppy attempt at a standing crucifix by Ember. oof.
Ember is short but she can sure jump high, this is true.
Ember plz sell.
Jeeze I nearly forgot how good Ember’s suicide dive is. One of the best, truly.
Great bump onto the floor by Rhea.
Flat landing by Dakota. Bravo. Love how Dakota bumps Rhea’s bench press.
No excuse for Dakota not tagging in when Ember got the tag. Awkward.
Looked more like a modified flatliner rather than a uranage, but sure.
Love watching Dakota and Rhea work together. They have great chemistry.
LOVE Dakota’s Kairopractor. One of my favorite moves in nxt.
Great save by Raquel, great ddt taken by Raquel.
Sloppy “powerbomb” from Ember to Dakota... that’s a yikes. Ember indeed has ring rust. Eclipse is still a thing of beauty though, so there’s that.
I just want to say, I really like Rhea as a babyface and I hope wwe doesn’t turn her heel when she moves to the MR.
Highlight: Dakota & Rhea working together is always a treat
---
NXT UK:
Tell me why the beginning of Dani’s theme reminded me of White Wedding by Billy Joel? The lack of lighting in her entrance does her song a disservice.
Really like Nina’s theme... irritating how they cut off Amale’s theme so quickly to introduce her, though.
HAHA Xia tried kipping up out of the leg scissors and she got popped on the midsection.
Lovely escape...? Alright well, fill the dead air with meaningless comments I guess. No, don’t pipe in applause for that.
Twisting her arms in reverse and then forward accomplished nothing.
I appreciate Dani’s underrated strength.
Decent reverse suplex by Nina.
Deadweight suplex by Dani. Nice.
Amale is... abysmally green.
Took a beautiful German suplex, though.
Do not like Xia’s finisher.
This match wasn’t a mistake, but man talk about lower card.
Much like I did with Toni Storm, all I see when I look at Piper now, is when she cried during the match with KLR lmao. Round of applause for KLR making all of her opponents cry kekekek.
“[KLR] better watch what she says, or else..” or else what? More of y’all gonna cry in her direction? oof your champ is HEAD AND SHOULDERS above everyone else on that roster, plz.
Sure she’s held the title for a year cuz of the pandemic, but if we remove all of that time UK spent isolated, she should still hold that title for a year minimum. Whenever someone wants to exhibit possessing the full package she has, they can step up. Even on the mic, KLR is untouchable.
Lol y’all can waltz out pissy all you want. I laugh.
“We've got witches that can't cast spells, Valkyries that can't fly, and these two can't even get along long enough to challenge me. And here she is, the worst of them all, the ultimate letdown... a piper that plays to my tune.” LMFAOOO. This is such a good promo, I can’t.
Knowing NXT, they’ll throw them in a battle royal to decide Kay Lee’s next opponent. Should run a tournament though.
KLR makes that title prestigious, goodbye.
Highlight: Fantastic KLR promo
---
Smackdown:
Alright real talk, why did Sasha get a title shot here? Why would Bayley give it to her without a struggle when she damn well knows Sasha could easily be the one to take it from her? When was it even accepted by Bayley?
Tbh I kind of hate this feud unless they’re in the same room/arena together. They work magic together, truly, but all of the inbetween stuff was garbage.
Love how Sasha just wants to beat the crap out of Bayley. Solid stuff.
Lol Bayley goes to leave lololol.
These are some clean counters and roll throughs. Always give props to Sasha for her counters.
See, cool, Sasha and Becky’s hiac match was set up with a chair, too... cept they had a great match for 15 mins and then brawled all over the arena. This could’ve all been set up SO much better. Then again tbf, it doesn’t even make sense for Bayley to accept this match with her to begin with, so I get the intentional dq as quickly as possibly on Bayley’s behalf. Would’ve been better if a gm had set this match up instead.
Great acting by Sasha.
How long til KO just pops Bliss across the face? No I’m kidding, wwe would never do that. Setting fire to someone, on the other hand...
Nothing about this promo felt genuine to me; the delivery was subpar.
When does Alexa receive an upgrade from ‘supportive mistress’ to ‘queen that helps fuck up Fiend’s victims’? I do appreciate them taking their time with her arc, it’s rare to see them do such a slow burn and not drop the ball with it.
Highlight: Sasha’s aggression in the ring
---
*BONUS*
Main Event:
The sheer hatred I have for Peyton’s theme. Awful.
Peyton vs Billie matches reminds me of the type of stuff I used to skip back in the late 2000s.
You watch best friends Sasha/Bayley, and you see some innovative, impactful moves. You watch best friends Becky/Charlotte, and you see 2 people beating the absolute shit out of each other with vitriol. You watch best friends Billie/Peyton, and you see 2 people who are afraid of hurting one another :/
Nice roll through pin by Billie.
Positive: there’s no crowd to boo them.
Just noticed the bottom row of monitors are behind the barricade, and I just want to know why tf they exist lmao.
Oh perfect, the second I began to regret turning this on, it ended. Okay anyway.
---
*NXT shined the brightest. Love how they utilized their women’s division, even if some of it was a hit or miss. Also love seeing Dakota and Rhea work together.
#wwe#issa review#feel free to ignore these#cuz who tf cares lesbihonest#today's props goes to:#dakota kai

So for being an exciting underrated wrestler and first ever junior heavyweight champion in WWF history. Taka Michinoku.....
Next Time: It takes hard work to make one great tag team but two, that is legendary.

WWE Live Event Results From Anaheim (6/24): Ring Rope Snaps In Main Event, Ronda Rousey Gets A Win
New Post has been published on https://latestnews2018.com/wwe-live-event-results-from-anaheim-6-24-ring-rope-snaps-in-main-event-ronda-rousey-gets-a-win/
WWE Live Event Results From Anaheim (6/24): Ring Rope Snaps In Main Event, Ronda Rousey Gets A Win
Thanks to Wrestling Inc. reader Brian Reed-Baiotto for sending in these results from Sunday’s WWE live event at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA:
The Honda Center’s first level and club level were open for fans and the top deck was curtained off. At most, there were 2,500 or so fans on hand.
* The first match was Jinder Mahal (w/ Sunil Singh) against Bobby Lashley. Mahal got a decent amount of heat walking out and talking on the mic, and Lashley got a better reaction than it looks like he normally gets on TV and he seemed to appreciate it. The match went back and forth for about 10 minutes, and as Lashley went to confront Singh on the edge of the apron. Just when it looked Mahal was going to pound Lashley, Bobby moved aside and Jinder hammered Singh. Quickly thereafter, Lashley pinned Mahal for the victory.
* Next up was ‘The B-Team and Mojo Rawley vs Breezango and No Way Jose. Once the match was announced, a lot of people went up to the snack stand to get food. In the end, Rawley pinned No Way Jose for the win.
* Mike Kanellis came out unannounced and apologized “to the hard working people of Anaheim” for not having a match. He asked if anyone wanted to come out for a match and Apollo Crews came out and beat him in less than a minute.
* Elias came out in the dark and for over five minutes, he worked the Anaheim crowd into a frenzy, and next out for the six-man tag match was Kevin Owens. KO went quickly to the corner that Elias was in and seemed to surprise Elias by giving him a big embrace, almost Owens’ way of saying “way to get those people annoyed,” and then Owens raised Elias’ arm to get one more boo out of the crowd. Their partner was Baron Corbin. Their opponents in order of entrance were Bobby Roode, Finn Balor and Braun Strowman. Each side got in their shots and then Braun came in for the hot tag and pinned Kevin Owens after he had battered KO around the ring.
* They went into about a 20-minute intermission
* After the intermission, the first match was Kalisto, who got a big reaction against Cruiserweight champion Cedric Alexander. An old-school scenario played out in this match. A few minutes in, Alexander accidentally ripped Kalisto’s mask off, and he quickly jumped out of the ring and referee Darrick Moore grabbed his mask, brought it out to him and basically covered him while Kalisto put the mask back on. For another seven to eight minutes or so, they put on an athletic match that really had the crowd going, but Alexander finished off Kalisto and paid him respect after the match by holding Kalisto’s arm up so the crowd could show their appreciation for his effort.
* The ring announcer, Byron Saxton mentioned that there hadn’t been a women’s match and then said that was about to change. In the eight-woman tag match, it was the Riott Squad and Alexa Bliss vs Sasha Banks, Dana Brooke, Bayley and Ronda Rousey. All seven women (aside from Rousey) saw action and after about an eight-minute match, Rousey got the hot-tag and made Liv Morgan (I believe) tap out.
After signing autographs and taking pictures with many fans, Rousey sprinted up to the top of the stage to meet Banks, Brooke and Bayley as the four took a bow together.
* The main event saw Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre vs Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. One of the scariest things I’ve seen in a WWE live show happened about five minutes into the main event. McIntyre went to use the rope to get momentum to go after Rollins in the middle of the ring, but the rope snapped and McIntyre fell backwards onto the floor.
Rollins, Ziggler, the ref and Reigns all kind of waited to make sure McIntyre was OK after he got off of the floor before any of them continued the match. The great deal of this bout took place in a ring where the rope was below each of their waist’s (level) so it was awkward for each of them, but they really did perform like the pros they are. In the end, after a couple of false finishes, Rollins pinned Ziggler for the win.
Random Notes: No reaction by the crowd: Mojo Rawley, Kanellis, Apollo Crews Loudest fan favorites: Braun, Balor, Rollins Loudest Heel reactions: Elias, Reigns, Mahal
One of the cool things about house shows is how much time wrestlers, who on tv, don’t have the time to interact with fans do at these shows. Strowman was incredibly hospitable with all the high-fives, autographs and pics he posed for, and Balor was equally as fan friendly.

Ranking The 10 Biggest WWE Champions Of Perpetuity.
This moment we have a rather also stabilize between ladies that have actually been educated as wrestlers, and also simply versions. COBRAR icónicas WWE Superstars • Recoger toneladas de WWE Superstars y armar su plantel sueño de campeones de los 80s, 90s y hoy. His even more recent run made the belt really feel special too, many thanks to Lesnar's conventional allure as well as restricted looks. The game could be little hard later, that's why you may require our WWE Champions Hack. He has been a 4-time tag group champion (2-time globe tag team champion and 2-time WWE tag group champion), along with being a former Money In The Bank Agreement Holder as well as a 2-time Royal Rumble Champion. Both people are previous World champions for their corresponding business as well as they both allow time hefty hitters. Bret's one of the best wrestlers to ever before lace up a set - as well as the man WWE count on in the mid-1990s while it browsed unsuccessfully for the next Hulk Hogan. If nothing else, the verdict of this match is mosting likely to set the tone for the year of WWE programming as well as, indeed, just what we can anticipate from following year's Wrestlemania. After shedding the title to The Rock, CENTIMETERS Punk became a good guy once more, and also it had not been long before he left the WWE and went to train to contend in UFC. Brooke Adams also known as Brooke also known as Brooke Tessmacher as well as also known as Miss Tessmacher made her debut in the WWE in 2006. Roman picked up his first as well as just champion gold in FCW in a. tag team with Mike Dalton (currently known as Tyler Wind in WWE) winning the FCW Florida Tag Team Championships. WWE Kane activity number: Kane is one more famous WWE wrestler and he is the brother of Undertaker. The only to develop one of the most effective WWE incredibly team is by accumulating as well as powering up your favorite Super stars and Tales from previous as well as existing WWE celebrities. There are several adding elements to deciding that is mosting likely to be WWE Champ, but as others have stated, it currently boils down to what Vince McMahon determines. Yet you could not realize one crucial truth: This will be the initial suit Sting has ever before wrestled in a WWE ring. This action figure is well sculptured and will be a fantastic enhancement to your WWE Action Figure collection. The Hulkster" was already a large celebrity in battling when he returned to the WWF late in 1983, but he came to be a pop culture icon after beating The Iron Sheik for the championship on Jan At the event, Punk was successful in beating the safeguarding champion John Cena to win the title, and left the business with the physical champion belt. However Cena has actually been 'the man' in WWE for 15 years - and also his track record as a workhorse champ that puts on the belt with pride is well earned. The tensile as well as bending residential properties of wrestling belt natural leather are better compared to that of any other natural leather. TNA has lost a great deal of time with Jessica Kresa, however they ultimately navigated to providing her the TNA Female's Ko Championship. Layla was the initial British female to hold the WWE Female's Championship, the first Queen Search winner to win the championship and also the last identified WWE Women's Champion when the title was retired in 2010. Another point, which is very popular regarding WWE action numbers, is that a person could additionally get different points along with this thing. Vince did have the very least win the belt in a commonly Mindset Era suit (i.e. enjoyable with a hot group) and also had the decency to vacate it immediately. Construct your lineup of mighty WWE Superstars as well as join pressures with various other champions in TAG-TEAM match-ups. In an unusual turn of occasions in the obstacle for the WWE Globe Heavyweight title, we saw Vince McMahon, WWE owner, return, filling out the lack of the 'injured' Three-way H. Andre beat after that champion Hulk Hogan in a champion rematch of their legendary spell at WrestleMania III. If WWE are ever before able to draw something like The Brothers of Damage off for another couple of Wrestlers I 'd be extremely stunned, they are arguably the best story to ever before come out've the firm. Amore has reached be, currently, considered as one of the very best talkers the WWE has actually seen. Yet yes, it is by far the most surprising WWE champion win in history given his best claim to fame before this was being in the comedy group 3MB. This forthcoming listing will showcase 15 events when WWE made an international Superstar their Globe Champ, 8 times that it worked and 7 times that it failed on its face. See, Sting expanded to popularity as part of World Championship Wrestling (or WCW), the WWE's main competitors in the '80s and '90s. Both of them first executed in WCW, both were forgotten by the business that would certainly go on to stop working, and also both were made champion not only because they were wonderful athletes, yet to also help WWE in the Latino market. Then though, she did go https://wwechampionshack.top/ on to enjoy some success in TNA, ending up being the TNA Knockouts Championship 3 times and also on half of the TNA Knockouts Tag Group Champions with Tara (one more former WWE Diva Victoria). He then relocated onto Ohio Valley Wrestling before joining the extra high account, WWE.

WWE SMACKDOWN LIVE RESULTS AND GRADES OF 5/10/17
Randy Orton Kick off SmackDown Live
WWE Smackdown Live Results : Orton says he didn’t lose at Payback because of Bray Wyatt or the refrigerator. He blames it on Jinder Mahal, who quickly makes his way out with the Singh Brothers. Mahal brings up the photo shoot he did with the WWE Championship and shows off the images on the big screen.
Mahal says Backlash will be his time. He gets ready to speak, but is interrupted by Kevin Owens. Owens talks about ending Jericho’s career and brags. He says he’ll end AJ Styles’ career at Backlash and target the WWE Championship.
Styles calls Owens delusional and says KO will never be the face of SmackDown Live. It brings Baron Corbin out, who quickly gets attacked by Sami Zayn. Everyone starts brawling, with the babyfaces standing tall.
A simple but effective segment to kick off the show. We’re going to get these six Superstars in a six-man tag in the main event, which should be fun and a way to push the narrative forward for all three feuds.
These three pairings should make for an intriguing Backlash PPV. More is still to come to get there, but we’re off to a good start
Grade -B+
Promo of Carmella, Tamina and James Ellsworth
We get a weird promo from Ellsworth, who taunts the London fans. Carmella ridicules the group and brings out Natalya.
Naomi then enters the scene and brings out Becky Lynch. Charlotte comes down to the ring to go with the appearances at ringside, as well.
Grade – B-
Natalya crushed Becky Lynch through pinfall.
Carmella, Natalya and Tamina are as yet passing by the “Welcoming Committee,” so it would seem that this is staying. An odd decision for a name, yet we’ll check whether it soaks in any more than it has. It ought to be noticed these heels haven’t really called themselves the “Welcoming Committee” yet.
Commentary talked about the heels not requesting a title opportunity, while Charlotte basically did and had a title match. Is it accurate to say that we are stating Carmella, Natalya and Tamina should have spoke up then?
The ringside interference got Natalya the win in a fairly short match.the Welcoming Committee attempting to brawl with Naomi, yet it was sufficient to Lych to be noticed.
Will undoubtedly get these six ladies in a label group match at Backlash. Despite everything it won’t understand the SmackDown Women’s Championship picture, yet ought to draw us nearer.
Grade – C
Lana Vignette
he latest clip teasing Lana’s debut. It still had “coming soon” on the titron.
Naomi and Charlotte backstage segment
Naomi and Charlotte contend over why Becky Lynch lost. Lynch says they won’t stand a shot on the off chance that they’re at each other’s throats. She raises an idea of six-lady tag-team bout thought for Backlash.
Charlotte playing a tweener is a great idea. It’s hard to have her move from being a merciless heel to a babyface overnight, so this work admirably.
Grade – B
Fashion Files II
The most recent, most prominent version of the Fashion Files is here. Breezango are investigating a paint spill in the lobby and drop about six phenomenal references.
Breezango go into a tiny room with the Ascension seething for reasons unknown. They say the Ascension record is revived.
The Fashion Files is presumably the highlight of Tyler Breeze and Fandango’s vocations. It’s brilliant satire, something WWE is shockingly hitting admirably of late.
Grade -A
Erick Rowan beat Luke Harper via pinfall.
An arbitrary match amongst Harper and Rowan. It would have been decent to see a fight with these previous Wyatt Family individuals, yet it doesn’t appear WWE’s occupied with that.
Not having Bray Wyatt around Harper and Rowan will take getting used to, also. We’ll perceive how far these two can abandon him for the primary constant in their WWE careers — not calculating in their concise singles keeps running in late 2014 and mid 2015.
Harper and Rowan fight admirably together, which can fairly be ascribed to them being around each other for as far back as five years. They could utilize another match in a stretched out fight to keep things going.
Maybe the most shocking part is Rowan winning. He once in a while gets singles wins, yet is WWE going to begin considering him important?
With respect to Harper, WWE missed the chance on him during WrestleMania 33 season and now he is having no direction in WWE.
Grade – B-
Dolph Ziggler Calls Out Shinsuke Nakamura
It’s taking a great deal for WWE to keep down on giving Nakamura a TV match. We’ve seen various promo sections with him and Ziggler on SmackDown Live, so will this make anything distinctive?
Ziggler discusses his achievements and other few honors, calling himself a “movie star.” He swings it to how nobody acknowledges him.
Nakamura advances out. Ziggler instructs him to “pet up or shut down,” however gets cut off. Nakamura instructs him to “shut up” and teased a match at this moment. An official shows up, and as it would appear that things are going to happen, Ziggler says “no” and will “uncover Nakamura for the misrepresentation he is at Backlash,” prompting a battle. It would appear that we have our most recent match then for the card, which the Artist will more likely to win.
Grade – B+
AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Sami Zayn Backstage
Zayn’s most recent backstage assembling sees him gabbing. He represents Orton and Styles instructs them to envision the match. While doing this, Zayn has his eyes shut. He opens them and sees nobody there.
As Luke Gallows would state: NERD! This has occurred with Zayn some time recently, being this restless, overeager person. It’s entertaining in spurts this way.
Breezango Def The Ascensions
Breezango won this bout quickly by his finisher ‘Last Dance’. After the match, the Usos come out to and make fun of Breezango, saying they’ll lose and get beatdown at Backlash.
They repeated “12 days” over a dozen of times, it was a one of the finest promos in the recent memory which is very important for the Smackdown Live tag team division. It seems that in Backlash Usos will regain championship but it will interesting to see how Breezango will deal with them in the ring.
Match – Grade – D+Promo – Grade – B+
Magic Rawley Backstage with Kid Fans
Rawley gives a voyage through backstage with four children. He discloses to them a tale about somebody being tormented as a child and shows off the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal Trophy.
Rusev Announces His Return
Rusev reports he’ll elegance us with his presence one week from now on SmackDown Live. This is expected to Shane McMahon disregarding his interest for a WWE Championship contest at Money in the Bank. Rusev has been out of ring since WWE Fastlane.
Jinder Mahal, Kevin Owens and Baron Corbin beat Randy Orton, AJ Styles and Sami Zayn via pinfall.
It’s astounding to think Mahal might be the top heel of the show. It must be like this for half a month but he is making his mark. Owens is most likely the top heel, he’s simply not in the main event scene, for the present.
Mahal getting the pin on Orton is great, yet not astounding. It’s most likely the biggest pinfall the Jinder has gotten in his two stretches in WWE, bringing down the WWE Champion.
We have one more week to fabricate Orton versus Mahal, before Backlash. It will be an intriguing test to check whether these two have great chemistry. He’s not precisely known for putting over abilities, with the exception of Seth Rollins in 2015 and Roman Reigns at SummerSlam 2014.
Grade – B+

My Wrestlemania 33 Review
So, since Wrestlemania is over, I’m now gonna share my feels and reactions with you for no apparent reason. :D
Obviously Spoilers.
1: WWE Cruiserweight Match, Aries vs. Neville. Neville wins.
Well, not much to say about this one. Neville and Aries are just men how can create magic in the ring, Aries proving his worth in the WWE while losing still is an accomplishment.
2: André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal Match. Mojo Rawley wins.
They did the thing everyone thought they were going to do, Rawley’s single career got legitimized with this win, good for him.
3: Intercontinental Championship Match, Ambrose vs. Corbin. Ambrose wins.
Kind of a shame that he won, I really don’t like the current Ambrose, while Corbin proved to be a worthy champ months ago.
4: AJ Styles vs. Shane McMahon. AJ wins.
This match really was a wonderful match, it was clear for me from the beginning that AJ would win, so that was the only bad thing about this Match.
5: US Title Match, Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho. KO wins.
The only thing logical here. Y2J is gonna leave WWE for a bit, so letting him get pushed would really be a waste of a push. In addition, Gold on Owens always looks good. But on the negative side, the ending really was just dull and anti climatic.
6: RAW Women's Title Match, Jax vs. Bayley vs.Charlotte vs. Banks. Bayley wins.
This match was average, but average being good. I sadly just don't recall anything that happened during the match, just that the ending was a bit anti- climatic.
7: THE HARDY BOYZ RETURNED YAY
In the Tag Team Match between Enzo & Cass, The Club and Sheamus and Cesaro the New Day announced that a fourth team is going to take part in the match. That fourth team was the Hardy Boyz. Loudest Pop of the night and the Hardys instantly are over, with Matt Hardy tweeting that his ‘condition’ was contained by the Crowd, mostly because WWE doesn't have the copyright for the Broken gimmick yet. They also became the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions that Night.
8: Mixed Tag Team Match, Bella&Cena vs Maryse&Miz. Cena&Bella win.
Nice ending, Cena finally proposed to Bella but the Match was bad. You could’ve taken a match like this from any other House show, nothing spectacular happened.
9: Tripple H vs. Seth Rollins. Rollins wins.
Hunter and Rollins delivered another great match. Stephanie McMahon took a bump through a Table, so props to her for doing that. Made it look real.
10: WWE Championship Match, Orton vs. Wyatt. Orton wins.
Besides the fact that the snake that followed Orton was really badly done the other graphics were on point. Wyatt made the Spider in the Ring corner twice and both times there were Images of Worms and Maggots projected onto the canvas. Looked great. NOW TO THE BAD PART: RANDY WON
Why give a guy, who lost every single Mania match he ever had, but still works his ass off a loss against someone like Orton? Orton doesn’t need that. Orton already has everything, it’s time for a proper Wyatt push, now that Rowan is back. The ending sucked too, one single RKO out of the Sister Abigail and Bray lost. VERY bad ending.
11: Universal Title Match, Lasor vs. Glodberg. Lasor winned.
All jokes aside, as predictable as this was, this match was awesome. Seeing those two guys collide at their age and still being as hard-hitting as they are, just is something to behold. I just want everyone to look at the first or second spear Goldberg delivered and how much force was behind that.
12: Smackdown Women's Championship. Naomi wins.
Of course she won, it was her home town. As much as I like Alexa Bliss and her performance, Naomi possible getting a new finisher other than the Rear View and getting one of the best pops of the entire night is great.
Oh god, Unlucky 13 and of course it’s the Undertaker vs. Reigns Match.
First off Reigns won. And that's good. Let me tell you why.
Reigns carried that match, which wasn’t bad. This match shows how much Reigns grew in his role as the big dog and how Undertaker should not be stepping into another Wrestling Ring. The old man was seriously out of breath after the first few minutes, after that reigns did actions around Undertaker while he just stood there because his cardio didn't allow much more. He is too old. He can’t do anything anymore. Reigns deserved that win, like it or not.
The Undertaker is still a Legend, but we should be happy a Legend appears on our TV, we shouldn't be scared for his life.
After Reigns left the Ring, Undertaker got up, left his Hat, his Gloves and his Coat in the middle of the ring kissed Michelle Mccool who was ringside and left, slowly. This was probably his last Wrestlemania, which is fine.
That was Wrestlemania. Pretty good.
