I'm thinking about Keisou/Keishin a lot recently because of the roleplay au I'm doing with my friends, and I said it earlier to them but like...Keisou is a ship thats a lot more fun Outside of canon in an au where both of them can confront their issues and grow together, which is what my friends and I are doing in our own rp currently. Their relationship is a very slowburn kinda thing where they have to work out their insecurities first and learn to open up to the other before itll even begin to work properly. They need that level of vulnerability so they can move past the death games.

In canon they just...don't work as well. While they have a few fun moments in game that are part of why people enjoy them in the first place yes, the problem becomes that there's weird power dynamics at play there, and neither of them can have a true oppertunity to be the level of honest and vulnerable on their own time that they would need to be to make things work. Theres too many other factors at play. Its just not as appealing that way.

Tldr, I much prefer Keisou in a setting thats post canon or that takes them from some other spot in canon and puts them somewhere safe (which is what we're doing in said rp) instead of just in plain canon. It works better that way.
