Probie @evansboyfriend stopped by and gave the kitchen a thorough scrubbing. The hard work is much appreciated, especially since there was an unidentifiable sticky substance all over the counter. Buck and Tommy swear they have no idea what it is but...thanks for cleaning it up anyway!

Cairo has always been someone who got things done. Straight forward and determined, there wasn’t any obstacle she couldn’t overcome. She did track in school, as well as debate and became student council president her junior year. She graduated with honors and decided to continue the family legacy of firefighting.

She met Kevin in college and the two hit it off well. Although they went through training together, she was placed in a different station, though they stayed in touch.

Cairo loved firefighting. The thrill, the adventure, the hero worship. She felt invincible with her team at her side. She got particularly close to a fellow probie named Carlos. They graduated to full firefighter status together and were practically inseparable. It wasn’t romantic, but an intense platonic bond that she was sure she’d found her soulmate. She often brought Carlos up in conversation to Kevin whenever they would talk.

Then the unthinkable happened. During a particularly intense rescue, Carlos was killed. Cairo was devastated. She tried to go on but found herself freezing whenever the alarm went off. It was humiliating and she felt like a disappointment to her team and her family.

She quit and struggled to let anyone help her, too distraught and feeling like a failure. She began setting small fires and putting them out, a way of regaining control of the element that took her best friend. Around this time, Kevin stepped up and offered support and compassion. She began to lean on him, and the two grew closer until they were actually together. He helped her reconnect with her family, whom she’d missed, especially her adopted younger sister.

Kevin was the one to propose. By then he’d become her person and Cairo knew she wouldn’t be able to love anyone else the way she did him. She said yes and her family was overjoyed to see her finally happy and looking forward to a future.

Five months later she realized she was pregnant. Even so, she encouraged Kevin to go on the road trip with his friends. She knew that with the wedding and once the baby came he wouldn’t have the time for a while. She didn’t want him to miss out. So she didn’t tell him.

When he went missing, it was like losing Carlos all over again. Distraught and stressed, she was determined to find out what happened, so she set out on the route the group had planned, finding herself in Huntsville in early June, three months pregnant.

Buck happily showed them how to make some Maddieleines! (They're dark Chocolate covered orange madeleines. It's a secret recipe Maddie taught Buck when he was a kid, and they even drew silly little smiley faces on them! Don't share the recipe okay?)

Things have been very chaotic in the kitchen and Eddie is currently in charge of the Anytime Menu items.

He attempted to make you a "Badass Coffee Mug" combo and...??? (I think he burnt one cinnamon bun and bit the other one, you know, just to make sure it was safe for you to eat...)
