This TV box comes in metallic light grey color with black outlines. The overall design seems standard for such category boxes. Thus the manufacturer has made a decision concerning only the color option. The upper part of the device carries only the brand name – Yoka TV and I think this is a right decision not to put the model name because of almost all Yoka TV boxes come with great features. Plus, it’s clever step to promote the brand itself. The company has played a little with it- when the box is turned off the logo is red, and when it’s turned on, it becomes blue.

The Yoka KB2 comes with a plastic housing, but the back is made of metal. Metal materials get hotter when charging, so I don’t think it’s a good decision in this sense. (It gets up to 45 Celsius, as seen in the photo above)Anyway, we can say Yoka TV hasn’t come up with something unique, as the Yoka KB2 offers the same design we have seen on the Mecool BB2. Probably, the only difference is the color range.

Hardware

YOKA KB2 PRO has all the latest specifications that any smart TV fan can expect. It has the latest DDR4 RAM that is compatible with a greater range of clock speeds. It has the Amlogic S912 Octa-core processor that was launched only a few months ago and is already making news with its performance output.

The 3GB DDR4 RAM beautifully compliments the CPU for superior performance stability and faster data transfer rates. The Dual Band WiFi gives better range and finer reception quality. But the cherry on top is the 32 GB eMMC Flash which can be used to install a substantial number of app and games.

You will find that most of the TV boxes come with a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. Plus, they are powered by a dual-core processor running at 1.5GHz. If you run outdated versions of Kodi and Android, these specs can be enough. But if you want to use the updated versions of this software, you should look for more powerful TV boxes. Moreover, weak specs list limits users with a 1080p display and WiFi speed of only 2.4GHz. As you guess, all the abovementioned hardware features can cause a slow performance, overheating and other issues.

Software

4K H.265 compression really makes it compatible with the latest Full HD and 4K screens of TV without compromising on the quality or the speed. It comes Pre-loaded with KODI 17.0, so the user can download all the popular add-ons like Youtube, Netflix, Facebook, Skype, Twitter, and much more.

It has Andriod TV6.0 which is the present version of Andriod TV and makes all the latest games and apps available on Google Play store.

On the aesthetics front, the box design is smart, simple with a base that sits on 4 small plastic stands at corners and punched holes in the base that ensure ventilation and cooling.

The project: code name “KB2” In March 2021, they joined forces to launch the “KB2” clock (short for Kontwaz Bauhaus 2); a fun, refreshing co-creation. Its dial and hands play on primary colours and geometrical shapes, sufficient on their own to assert the inimitable style that brought Alain Silberstein his international success. Inspired by the iconic Pop Up, it is equipped with the famous UTINAM movement designed by Philippe Lebru, who received the Grand Prix at the Lépine competition of Paris, as well as a Gold Medal in clockmaking at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions in 2005. Just 88 “KB2” clocks will be released, exhibited and brought to sale, in the springtime at UTINAM gallery in Besançon, at the M.A.D. mechanical art galleries in Geneva, Dubai, Hong Kong and Taipei and via their e-shops. The M.A.D. galleries were founded in 2011 by Max Büsser, another forerunner in independent watchmaking who pioneered collaborations in the 2000s. These venues are by far the best showcases for this peerless clock, part clock sculpture and part kinetic art work. Moreover, other collaborations are announced for 2021.
