I have wanted to do a minimalist wallpaper of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion for the longest time. The character I wanted to do a minimalist wallpaper was Kallen Kozuki. But I couldn't find any good shots of her, so I decided to do one of Lelouch's sisters, Cornelia li Britannia. The process took some time and was challenging. But, as usual, I pushed forward until I finally finished the minimalist wallpaper, and I am happy with how it turned out.
Character: Cornelia li Britannia (from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion)

Code Geass Anime Featured
Code Geass Anime Featured - Code Geass, is a Japanese anime series created by Sunrise, directed by Gorō Taniguchi, and written by Ichirō Ōkouchi, with original character designs by manga authors Clamp. Set in an alternate timeline, the series focuses on how the former prince Lelouch vi Britannia obtains a power known as Geass and decides to use it to obliterate the Holy Britannian Empire, a superpower that has been conquering various countries. Code Geass first ran in Japan on MBS from October 5, 2006, to July 28, 2007. Its sequel series, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 (コードギアス 反逆のルルーシュR2 Kōdo Giasu Hangyaku no Rurūshu Āru Tsū), ran as a simulcast on JNN stations (like MBS and TBS) from April 6, 2008 to September 28, 2008. The series has also been adapted into various manga and light novels with the former showing various alternate scenarios from the TV series. Bandai Entertainment also licensed most parts from the franchise for English release in December 2007, airing the two TV series on Adult Swim. Most manga and light novels have also been published in North America by Bandai. At the Code Geass 10th anniversary event on November 27, 2016, it was announced that the series will be receiving a new anime, along with a compilation film trilogy in 2017 that will recap the events from both seasons of the anime series. The new anime, titled Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection (コードギアス 復活のルルーシュ Kōdo Giasu: Fukkatsu no Rurūshu), will take place a few years after the events of the Zero Requiem. The director Gorō Taniguchi commented that the upcoming project would star an alive Lelouch and not as an alternate setting. Released to critical acclaim, the anime television series has been well received in Japan, selling over a million DVD and Blu-ray Disc volumes. Both seasons have won several awards at the Tokyo International Anime Fair, Animage Anime Grand Prix, and Animation Kobe event. Critics have highly acclaimed the series for its large audience appeal, story, unique combination of genres, well-written characters, mature themes, as well as the cross conflicts shown among the main characters and the moral questions presented. --excerpt from Wikipedia.--
From my move to Japan in 2005 until 2012 when I began writing for Kotaku, I watched almost no anime—despite watching hundreds of series both before and since. Because of this, there is a noticeable hole in my anime history. Over the years I have attempted to fill in the gap by watching shows like Steins;Gate and Angel Beats. However, none has been recommended to me as many times as Code Geass has. And with good reason: It’s an anime that takes the mecha and war themes from Gundamand mixes it with the psychological and moral exploration of Death Note. Code Geass is set in an alternate universe where, during the French Revolution, the nobles of all Europe fled to the American colonies (which never became independent) and ruled there from that time on. The resulting country, “Britannia,” is the world’s foremost superpower by the time of Code Geass. Unlike America as we know it, Britannia’s code is “all men are not created equal.” Rather the strongest—be that by physical strength or through nepotism—will rise to the top. With this philosophy in mind, Britannia conquered Japan with its mecha army and turned the country into a land where the invaders live in splendor and the Japanese—now known as “11s”—live in ghettos.--excerpt from Richard Eisenbeis on Kotaku.com.-- Much like the aforementioned Valvrave the Liberator, Code Geass has some absolutely fabulous characters. It piles on intentional hilarity on top of what seems like serious subject matter. I mean, let's be honest, the emperor of the biggest country on Earth went on international television and basically said, "All of you are terrible humans. You're weak and pathetic! You should be more like me and less pathetic!". There was no way that it wouldn't be hilarious in some capacity. Adding to this was the over-the-top way he delivers it. This thought would not be complete without mentioning the character that spawned an entire meme: Lelouch. From his ridiculously dramatic international broadcasts to his extremely elaborate hand movements, he will never miss an opportunity to rocket the show past absurd and into "this is awesomely terrible!" territory. No wonder everyone in the world loves him, he could practically replace the television industry with his televised antics. You are truly the Prince of Fabulous Lelouch.--exerpt from Dexomega on Kinja.com.-- Read the full article

Code Geass
Other Names: Kōdo Giasu: Hangyaku no Rurūshu Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
Rating: 8.3/10
Genre: Mecha, Alternate history, Supernatural, Drama, Tragedy, Psychological
Episodes S1: 25 Episodes S2: 25 OVAs: 3 as of now (soon to be 4)
I absolutely loved this anime! I feel like this is an exceptional mecha anime whose emphasis isn't really on mecha battles nor "protecting the world". On the contrary, they're actually trying to take over (parts of) the world! So the story takes place in an alternate world where a superpower country (Britannia) has taken over Japan. Lelouch gets a supernatural power called "geass" that allows him to order any person to do something and they will completely obey him, but only once. He decides to use this power to overthrow Britannia and protect the Japan from its oppressive reign. What I really attracted me to this was how incredibly clever Lelouch was. He always had some brilliant, deceptive plan that always kept things interesting. Another fantastic characters was Suzaku, who was essentially the opposite of Lelouch. Where Lelouch only cared about the results (the ends), Suzaku cared much more about the way you achieve your results (the means). Obviously, neither approach in entirety is 100% correct; you need to find a balance of both. In addition to these two, all supporting characters did a much better job supporting the main characters and plot than most anime I've seen. The ending of this anime was also fantastic and everything was tied together nicely! Although it left you with a bit of sadness for knowing the truth, it was still the best possible ending and I wouldn't change a single thing. In fact, I wouldn't change a single thing about the entire anime! Parts of the plot were so strong that it actually compelled me to feel really strong emotions of respect, hate, and sadness. It's a brilliant anime in which I haven't seen anything like it. Even though I only gave it a 8.3/10, it ranks highly among 9's so go watch it!

***
PDawg edit:
JBonez called it, epic anime! This was another huge one I got JBonez to watch early on in his otaku development because it needs to been seen! Like JBonez said it's heavy on strategy and undermining and sort of reminds you of Death Note in a sense. However it's also very heavy in politics and order and then you have the resistance side. Action was fantastic, music was blood pumping, story line was very very interesting. I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't watched the anime so I won't give out names but some lovable characters do die in this one and it's painful to watch if you envelop yourself into the anime when watching like JBonez and I do. :'( My Cosplay for Anime North 2012 was Suzaku from this anime. I was, luckily enough, the only Suzaku there so it worked out. I saw 4 or 5 Zeros' though and one of them even high five'd me (you won't see that in the anime :P) Overall, highly recommended! *Geass* Watch Code Geass
