𝕋he crowd roared, voices blending into a deafening wave of cheers as the members of Twilight Dreamers, the hottest K-pop boy group of their generation, stepped onto the stage for their closing act. The stadium was electric with anticipation, and when the opening notes of their iconic song, "Endless Echo," filled the air, the energy reached a fever pitch. The song was more than just a track; it was an ode to their devoted fans, Moonbeams, an anthem of eternal connection that tied the fans and idols together in an unbreakable bond.

Asher, the main vocalist, took center stage, his sapphire-blue eyes sweeping over the adoring crowd, each face lit with joy and tears. His voice rang out, pure and emotive, pouring out the heartache and passion of the lyrics, which spoke of unending love and loyalty. Every note resonated with raw emotion, drawing tears from fans who clung to each word, each line of "Endless Echo" reverberating through the stadium like a heartbeat. Damian and Theo stood by his side, hands stretched out to the crowd, their harmonies blending perfectly with Asher's voice. They swayed, matching the rhythm, while fans waved back, each hand reaching for the connection they felt with their idols. In the back, Clade and Nex held their ground, hyping up the crowd with smooth, effortless dance moves and infectious smiles, their playful interactions adding a layer of excitement to the heartfelt moment.

However, unlike their other performances, each time this song would play – it would be Asher who captivated them all: His eyes closed as he sang the final high note with a soulfulness that held the power to break million hearts in a blink.

When his voice faded, he opened his eyes, and the stadium erupted. He looked at his bandmates with a warm, grateful smile, and together they side-hugged, bowing to their fans. The roar of the crowd echoed like a euphoric pulse that had yet to settle. As they exchanged looks with wide grins, their hearts raced, riding on the thrill of their last performance for the year.

All the members would be focusing on their respective solo projects and taking much needed rest until their comeback scheduled after six to seven months. Thus, this performance meant a temporary farewell gift to their fans – who would eagerly await their return. They shared a final wave with the fans, relishing every cheer and lightstick that illuminated the stadium like a sea of stars.

But as they left the stage and stepped behind the curtain, the lights dimmed and the magic faded.

By the time they climbed into the van, a sense of quiet had already settled over them. They slipped into their usual seats, the atmosphere inside shifting from celebratory to subdued.

The contrast was stark: only moments ago, they were flawless idols, bathed in adoration, embodying the unreachable ideal their fans cherished. Now, they were just five young men, caught in the strange in-between of fame and reality.

Theo chuckled at something on his phone, while Nex's face creased with a deep frown as he scrolled through messages. Clade peered over Nex’s shoulder, momentarily concerned before his lips curved into an amused smirk - entertained by the maknae’s frustration, while Damian lay back with his arms crossed, eyes shut, brows knit as if blocking out the exhaustion that lingered beneath the night’s high. The thrill of the stage had drained away, leaving a quiet, almost hollow void in its wake.

Everyone knew that being an idol demanded a crafted image, a painstakingly curated persona. The industry sold a dream, one that promised perfection, a fantasy that kept fans enthralled with illusions of beauty and personality, setting a standard almost impossible to live up to. And yet, some fans blurred reality with their fantasies, forming attachments that were built on half-truths and well-practiced smiles, all too easily crossing lines in their devotion. But it wasn’t just the fans who played with fire; each of the members had their own way of dealing with fame’s side effects.

Damian and Theo, frequently spotted with vape pens or packs of cigarettes during livestreams, leaned into the group’s "bad boy" reputation, a rebellious streak that only made them more beloved among their fans. Clade and Nex, on the other hand, had their fair share of dating scandals, but were skillful enough to dodge serious trouble each time. The four had also earned the title of being quite the party animals - although, that was given due to the industry they were in. Their agency of course, was more than willing to cover for them, knowing that Twilight Dreamers was a lucrative powerhouse, their pristine image essential to the label’s success. Even when the recent shocking rumors of the youngest member's ties to an underground drug lord surfaced, their devoted Moonbeams stood by the boy-group, fierce in their loyalty, ready to defend their idols at any cost.

And then there was Asher.

Though Damian was the official leader, Asher was the group’s true center of gravity. Scandal-free, disciplined, and with an almost untouchable demeanor, he had become a paragon across fandoms, adored as much for his mystery as for his charm. The "Ice Prince," as he was fondly dubbed, seemed almost otherworldly in his restraint, his reputation unblemished by any hint of controversy. Fans clung to every word he wrote, especially the lyrics of Endless Echo, the song that dripped with romance and longing, exposing a softer, almost vulnerable side that surprised everyone. His fans dreamed of a partner like him, someone both devoted and complex, whose quiet allure only made him seem more perfect—and entirely out of reach.

But that too of course, was far from the truth.

The van came to a halt, and Damian, now awake, pushed the door open without a word. Theo and Clade scrambled after him, the former calling out to their leader, “Wait up, Daim! Don’t leave us behind!”

Damian strode off with his jacket thrown back on his shoulder, not looking back.

"Let him go, Theo," Clade chuckled, eyeing the red-haired male's frustration. He slipped an arm around the youngest’s waist, leaning close with a teasing glint in his eye. "We all know the real party doesn’t start until our maknae decides it’s time. Isn’t that right, Nexie?~"

Nex flinched, momentarily caught off guard, but quickly masked it with a smirk. “Yeah, why the rush? The night’s still young,” he shot back, brushing off Clade’s arm with an annoyed look. Clade chuckled, his amber eyes catching the faint blush creeping onto Nex's cheeks.

As the maknae moved to step out, Asher’s hand shot out, gripping his arm and pulling him back. His face was calm, but his icy-blue eyes held a warning that sent a chill down Nex’s spine. “Don’t overdo it,” Asher said quietly, voice barely above a whisper. “I won’t cover for you this time.”

The pink-haired male swallowed hard, caught off guard by the eldest member’s intensity. “W-What do you mean, hyung? You said it’s ok to party once in a while. Our tour just ended so—”

“You know what I mean,” Asher cut in, his voice like steel. “You’re walking a thin line. Next time, it won’t just be a hiatus. Try jail time. No career to come back to.”

“Hey, back off,” Theo spoke up, frowning. “It’s not like you’re someone to talk—”

“Theo.” Damian’s voice sliced through the tension, as the three younger idols turned to see that their leader had retraced his steps. The raven-haired male gave Theo a look, a silent command to drop it, an unexpected lifeline from Asher’s icy scrutiny.

Asher raised an eyebrow, glancing at Damian, before his gaze stiffened upon realization.

 – they knew his secret.

His jaw clenched as he waited for the raven-haired male to make a move – his icy gaze a sliver away from insanity. Instead, Damian chose to play dumb and ran a hand through his hair, letting out a sigh. “Can we go already? My head’s killing me.”

The others gratefully took the cue. “Y-Yeah,” Theo muttered, nudging Nex and Clade, who quickly fell in line, all of them carefully avoiding Asher’s unyielding gaze as they filed out of the van.

Asher’s cold blue eyes followed their retreat toward the party, just another in the countless string they’d gone to since turning legal. His expression remained unreadable as they disappeared from view.

The low hum of the streetlights cast a dim glow around them as the van sat idling in a quiet backlot. Asher leaned against the open door, his gaze fixed somewhere distant, unaffected by the nervously fidgeting manager who had just stepped out of the driver’s seat.

“Mr. Baek,” Asher said coolly, still not turning his head. “Were you just admiring the view, or did you manage to handle the situation at the club?”

Baek’s hands fumbled as he clasped them together, his laugh a little too forced. “Y-Yes, it’s all done, just as you asked,” he replied, clearing his throat. “The laced drinks have been swapped for regular ones, and by morning, the supplier will be…handled. I’ll have Nex’s phone bugged again after he crashes. Just like last time.” He chuckled nervously. “I thought the little rascal had learned his lesson, but old habits, huh? Still, um...” He hesitated, glancing at Asher’s unreadable expression. “...won’t the boys eventually catch on? I mean, they might suspect you’re involved.”

Asher let out a low laugh, the kind that didn’t reach his eyes. “Why? Do you plan to snitch on me to our Dear Leader-nim just like the way you did about the Cabin.”

Baek’s face drained of color, his breath catching as he grasped Asher’s arm in panic. “N-No! I’d never! Did…Did Damian say something? That—” His words faltered as Asher’s gaze turned ice-cold, and he pulled his hand back as if burned. “Please, Asher, believe me! I didn’t tell him anything. That day, he must’ve overheard us on his own—I swear, I didn’t—”

“Relax, Mr. Baek,” Asher said smoothly, clamping a firm hand on the manager’s shoulder. "I was just kidding."

He smiled, although that didn’t reach his cold eyes. “You have been dedicated to our group since its inception for several years now. Moreover, I’ve known you since I was a kid; you’re like an older brother to me. I trust you wouldn’t betray that.”

Baek’s face broke into a hesitant smile, relief flooding his features—until Asher tightened his grip on his shoulder, the smile widening ever so slightly. “At least, not intentionally,” he added, voice laced with something unspoken. “And it seems our Leader-nim is is content to stay out of this, so it’s all good.”

The manager seemed to regain life as he sighed in relief, but that only lasted for a solid second before Asher yanked him forward by the back of his head, their faces mere inches apart. His voice dropped to a whisper, sharp enough to slice through the tension. “Consider yourself lucky no one else overheard. If this ever leaked to the media… let’s just say I’d have my own way of ‘handling’ it. You might not come out so lucky, Baek.”

Baek fell to his knees, his voice shaking as he begged for forgiveness. Amusement flickered in Asher’s eyes as he watched Baek ramble on, looking hauntingly beautiful and distant, like some vengeful angel. After a moment, he placed a patronizing hand on Baek’s head, gently patting it as if he were a loyal pet.

“It’s alright, Mr. Baek,” he murmured, a twisted gentleness in his tone. “I don’t expect you to be perfect. Mistakes happen.” He ran his fingers through the manager’s hair before gripping a handful tightly, making Baek wince. “But surely you understand that we learn from our mistakes, don’t we?”

“Ah! Y-Yes, absolutely, Asher! I’ll never slip up again—”

“I wasn’t finished.” Asher’s voice turned frosty, pulling Baek’s head up so they were face-to-face, blue eyes gleaming with a hard edge. “When I said I wanted surveillance, I meant complete surveillance. Not just Nex—I want full access to all their chats and calls. Nex may have messed up, but the others aren’t far behind. They’re all barely holding it together.”

He paused, something shifting in his gaze, a flicker of wistfulness. “I get it,” he murmured. “I was worse than them. I gave you quite the hard time, didn't I ? You must be glad when it all ended. When I met… her.”

At the mention, Asher’s usual composure softened, his face momentarily flushed.

Baek, still held firmly by the hair, nodded quickly, swallowing his discomfort. He knew Asher’s past all too well—the meltdowns, the outbursts. The scars on his body were hidden now, erased by the country’s top surgeons, except for the one on his cheek, left as a reminder.

“Perhaps it’s a good thing they know my secret,” Asher mused aloud. “Maybe they’d stop running from their own shadows and find someone to call only theirs.” His grip relaxed, and Baek exhaled in relief, nodding along. “So long as it’s nothing worse than a dating scandal or some partying,” Asher added, shrugging. “Anything else is too risky. Am I clear?”

Baek gulped, scrambling to his feet. “Crystal clear, Asher. I’ll bug their devices after the party—and I’ll make sure to answer your calls in private from now on.”

The blue-eyed idol smirked, letting him go and stepping back, while Baek slumped, catching his breath. “That’s more like it,” he said with a hint of satisfaction. “I expect no next time. Don’t let me down, alright?”

Baek straightened, nodding furiously as he fixed his disheveled clothes.

“Oh, and one more thing.” Asher’s voice was casual again as he reached into his pocket. “Leave me the keys to the other car. I’ll be heading to the cabin tonight—I have no reason to stay in the city with the tour done.”

“Yes, of course. I moved your brand shoots and interviews to later in the month, as requested. I did my best to buy you time, but Mr. CEO insisted—”

“Spare me the details, Mr. Baek,” Asher waved it off, holding out his hand. “I know you must have tried to handle the old man. It's fine. As long as he protects what’s mine, I’ll be nice and keeping being his ‘golden goose.’"

The manager handed over the keys, nodding obediently. Asher’s gaze thawed as his fingers tenderly felt the familiar bad-crocheted bunny key chain attached to it. “Also, don’t disturb me unless it’s urgent,” he added softly.

Baek bowed his head, backing away, leaving the two-faced idol to his thoughts as the van finally disappeared into the night.

Asher threw his bag onto the passenger seat of his car, and started the engine. He sighed, impatient to drive off into the night – to the place he always retreated to when he got a moment to breath from his hectic schedule as an idol.

The Cabin.—a place he considered more of a home than his luxurious studio apartment in the same celebrity neighbourhood as all the rich and famous A-listers.

A place that held his kryptonite.

His everything.

🌹 KIBBE types || Why Hyunjin is a 𝒮𝑜𝒻𝓉 Dramatic

 ↪︎ INTRO :: Welcome to another lengthy Kibbe Body Type analysis. Today, I’ll discuss Stray Kids’ Hyunjin, who is certainly among the most beautiful men of our times 🌹

Across the web he’s been typed as a [Soft] Dramatic, Dramatic Classic, and Flamboyant Natural respectively — I make my case for SD here in bite-sized illustrated points. Enjoy!

Needless to say, Hyunjin is likely part of the Big Three (D, SD, FN) or a Dramatic Classic due to his notable vertical line. Like all of these yang types, his model physicality is hard to overlook.

At 5′11, he’s already tall and close to the 6´0 threshold on paper, but he appears even taller mostly. People surely wouldn’t describe him as petite or barely medium in height. I heard through the grapevine that 5′11+ is Kibbe’s cutoff for male yin types who have short vertical lines:

Especially as in South Korea, the male average height is estimated to lie between 5´7 and 5´8½. That would be their Classic type benchmark. Lee Know is commonly typed as Soft Classic at 5′8. I agree with the typing: He looks great in sophisticated, clean, standard black tie with waist emphasis and suave fabrics (yin). All C category looks suit him, less is more.

Hyunjin appears taller and bolder congruently, seemingly taking up twice as much space as most Soft Gamines like Felix (SG is Kibbe’s most petite type next to the Romantics, they are the Big Three’s opposite). His physical frame is easily noticed first.

His extremities are fairly narrow, though. At his height, only one Image ID category looks like that, in fact: D types, the longest legs of the Kibbe system. Slim and streamlined, Hyunjin embodies sharp yang.

And he fits their reputation: Like all Dramatics, he does visually intimidate. His appeal can be described as intense, towering, and in your face (D), not as bluntly rounded, wide, sporty (N) or subtle and detached (C). Changbin being from the Natural family, the difference is quite stark. Changbin is frame dominant, Hyunjin is vertical first.

There’s an edge, he’s square and tall, not bevelled, not all-round symmetrical, not tiny, nor softly round. Hyunjin isn’t fully mesomorph nor endomorph either, but slenderly column-like with longer bones (D), which tends to reflect in his dance/stage presence. Very angular.

SKZ’ concert outfits can be quite theatrical in a Kibbe and aesthetic sense, it suits him well. Kibbe calls the Dramatic element theatric because literal drama/theater in the arts relies on tall actors with exaggerated makeup & features that can still be seen in the last row. D types are easily spotted from a mile away. 

Let’s do the reverse: Zooming in, typing by detail. Tell-tale sign of a D type: Hyunjin’s hands/fingers are long and slim. FN’s hands are broad and less dainty/slim, if not huge sometimes. Classics are “regular”. His extremeties are not, we see bone structure first.

Calves, hips, underarms, too. All very yang. Not short, not soft, not balanced, not sturdy, not contrasted, just elongated and slimmed. I can hear people say it’s FN’s dramatic undercurrent, but it’s not an addition, it’s his main thing.

Test it with outfits: Kibbe is about matching similar things to create harmony, which creates beauty. Hyunjin’s most famous looks are all angular like he is. They mirror his frame. His artistic alter ego is as fittingly dramatic-themed as it gets. Sharp asymmetric corners everywhere:

Now that we established his Dramatic base, let’s see how his yin undercurrent shows. Outfit test again, because it’s fun: Especially opulent and dark-colored SD lines overwhelm all Classics and Naturals. But Hyunjin, never. Just another Thursday for him, he can do it all. 

And either way, his lush, super-prominent facial features are the waving flag for SD. They pair so well with glisteningly adorned yin styling. The hair could be more contrasted (= yang) here, but you get the gist.

He even has a semblance of double curve, which is elongated in SDs. FN has a broad ribcage > hourglass, Pure D has a straight, streamlined body. DC has no curve. But SD looks great with the waist marked. Only then does the outfit become “Hyunjin-esque” lmao! And it puts the focus on his face.

Hyunjin is far more yin-oriented than D, DC, FN. He wears Romantic and otherwise gnc clothing so well. You could douse him in jewels. SD is the only type among the Big 3 that can pull off TR decor. Modern Hanboks are often yin-themed (SC, TR, SD...). He’s born to wear it.

SD borrows its yin from R, yes. But as I see it, the infamous “homme/femme fatale” Theatrical Romantic type is SD’s younger sister. Simply due to TR’s sharp yang Dramatic influence. Hyunjin is easily a `sexy TR with more vertical´, and tall homme fatale is exactly what he exudes. An SD face says “femme but I’ll eat you up”.

That doesn’t mean that if you made TRs like Jimin or Han more elongated, they’d look like Hyunjin. Ofc not. Besides no person ever fully resembling another, Han is yin first (rounded face, small waist), and Hyunjin is yang first (chiseled body, long limbs). SD is gigantic next to TR.

However: Added to how Korean men tend to be on the smaller side already, and SD still points toward R and is the least towering of the Big Three most of the time, Hyunjin is still less gigantic than Pure D and FN — even if he looks tall by himself or next to G types like I.N, Felix, etc. Next to FN Dua Lipa in heels below, next to D types in the second pic.

For SD, Kibbe says overdressing is virtually impossible, as long as their narrow vertical line is honored. Unlike Classics, Hyunjin is certainly the “more is more” type. Minimalism wouldn’t do him justice. All-out dark luxury and ornamentation is peak SD aesthetic.

As above, and like in Han’s or Taemin’s case (both are TR), all of his outfits are elevated by belts. A purely yang type couldn’t wear this convincingly or comfortably. But with his small waist, belts are needed to keep the outfit together. Again, he can’t overdo it.

Finally, his feet are long and yang, but the toes appear yin and rounded, softly padded. The gentle, fleshy undercurrent of SD shows here, just like in his face. I’m a Pure Dramatic, my toes are thin and elongated, and my face is taut. SD has less structured feet, even if they can be bony. That’s why Natural category boots look so heavy on him, DC shoes appear regular, but elongated boots that emphasise vertical suit his outfits. He rarely wears SD shoes, but as always, the more glam, the better.

why he fits the versace SD aesthetic

It’s no coincidence he became a Versace ambassador. Donatella — despite being a tiny Flamboyant Gamine at 5´2 — herself dresses like a Soft Dramatic often, and loves supermodels embodying the shiny Diva Chic, it’s the brand’s entire theme. 

Just like D & G and Mugler celebrate TR, Chanel and Gucci revere Gamines, Armani worships yang types (D, DC), and Dior suits Soft Classic, Versace lionizes SD, Italy’s Kibbe archetype. Bold patterns, sharp shoulders, black, waist, long lines. 

Versace and Hyunjin’s best signature style are based on the severe long, black vertical look, angular and stark. Head to toe! The velvet fabric ad glossy boots are also quite SD.

By constrast, Versace doesn’t base itself on the flowing mix´n´match, wide lines and cozy fabrics of Naturals. That would be, say, Urban Outfitters or FILA. The BTS campaigns show of how casual FN/N is. No coincidence how RM and JK are positioned center, they are SN and FN. Brands will always clock which types instinctively fit the aesthetic.

Like all designers searching for a muse, I think Donatella looks for models that symbolize what her own contrasted/angular FG type doesn’t feature: Extreme vertical, a consistent essence (as opposed to Gamine’s mix of D and R lines), and yin. Thus, Versace’s muse is SD. Hyunjin perfectly fits the role. He is tall and radiates decadent splendour. 

why he’s not flamboyant natural

Some FN clothing suits him, yes, as SD and FN are neighboring types. You can always steal from your closest Image IDs and pull it off to a certain degree. It accommodates his vertical, after all. But again, he can go even more fashion forward, and isn’t known for his leisure looks like, say Namjoon (FN) or Jungkook (SN). FN clothing looks casual on all other types. FN clothing on an FN looks like a million bucks. 

Some FNs have soft yin features, but on SD, they stand out. Hyunjin’s go-to makeup look is not understated like Kibbe would recommend for the N family. Full lips, strong brows, sharp chin, sharp smokey eyes, contoured nose. His face shape is slightly more elongated than wide to begin with, the eyes aren’t wide-set like it’s often the case for Ns. His signature style is long hair, wether straight or wavy: but pulled back (D), not big and wild and free (FN).

The FN (and DC) outfits he wears the best are all black, head to toe. Which is a D characteristic! The drape of the fabric is similar to SD, but the materials are still reading as casual and wide on him. FN clothes look huge on all other Kibbe categories and hide the body, but on all Naturals they look stylish and showcase their frame dominance. FN is oversized on Hyunjin, especially the upper body. SD might have a T-silhouette, but not the FN ribcage. Casual clothes are snug on actual FNs.

Vice versa, Hyunjin makes the most artificial-looking, least casual aesthetic seem entirely taken for granted on him. His silhouette asks for emphasis in the middle of the body than just the shoulders (yes, SD does need shoulder emphasis!). The FN style leaves his legs looking too slim by comparison, as the top part winds up being too baggy. 

That couldn’t happen to a Natural like Chan who fills out skinny pants easily. He needs the heavy fabrics, chest, arm, and shoulder accommodation like air.  Stage looks are heavily manicured; he becomes a different person — Chan looks good, but he’s most at home in cozier looks, and most known for it, too. It balances his body.

Test jeans (N) versus satin (R): Which is more well-dressed? SD is about how far you can go, N is about how relaxed you can go. I think jeans is good, but underwhelms here and there. Plain satin lacks structure on him, too, which is why R is only his undercurrent. It requires the angular tailoring of D to incorporate yin fabrics in his wardrobe. But you could still throw more jewelry on him! Gala/dinner/red carpet dressing is so easy for SD. The right-hand outfits are fantastic. The colors pack a punch, too. SD needs heavy duty [winter] hues, regardless of their personal color.

So, in stage outfits, he wears sharp shoulders well. FN has larger, protruding, rounded shoulters that do not carry pointed Dramatic corners well. No sharpness here, just massive soft yang muscles, eg. Namjoon and Shownu. Worlds apart from Hyunjin. SD is the fiercest slayer ever, FN is a complete machine.

Any impression that he has Kibbe width is caused by the T-Shape most SDs have, an illusion created by their small waist making the shoulders look prominent by comparison. 

Stiff fabrics that hold their shape (=D) are key to his best outfits, not coarse/woven FN fabrics or DC tweeds. fN are the kings and queens of athleisure. SD is underdressed in FN. It needs lavish draping and bnw contrast (=D element mixed with yin). He looks great in it:

SD is a naturally androgynous type. It fuses a tall model body with a soft yin face. Think Austin Butler, Shawn Mendes, Lil Nas X, BTS’ Jin. But FN is as masc as it gets. Think Henry Cavill, Jason Momoa, Hugh Jackman, RM, Minho (SHINee), Chanyeol. FN can be humongously broad when trained! SD bulks up, but their narrow, delicate vertical still shows first. And Hyunjin is shredded to the gods, mind you. 

His legs showcase thin D bone structure. Congruently, he wears pointed toe shoes better than rough and ready FN ones (sharp, black shiny boots, his signature). Even if they have a sharp yang undercurrent, FNs still have more substantial N bones by comparison. When FN works out, their frame becomes even more biased towards the upper arms, shoulders and thighs, where SD becomes leaner first, and just more defined overall. Hyunjin’s legs aren’t blunt, they are extra long (sharp yang) with softly wide flesh (yin undercurrent) on top. FN is bulkier, stronger-looking like RM. And Hyunjin is a main dancer!

In short, trained FN idols are basically closest to bodybuilding contest winners because they look so broad and vigorous, while SD idols could win a pageant because they’re so beautiful, not rugged and hypermasculine like FN. Hyunjin is muscular, but you don’t notice broadness first, but his gorgeousness and model height.

FN benefits from earth tones + softening the hair color, while all Dramatics are recommended to go darker, more uniform in shade. Contrast works miracles for Hyunjin, black hair or completely bleached white is his forte. Muted colors undersell him. FNs will pass as a natural muted blonde or light brunette, while the D black and white color scheme don’t flatter them as much. Hyunjin definitely needs the extreme.

why he’s not pure dramatic

Pure Dramatic fits his proportions, it looks great on him (proof that D is his family) but the certain something is missing. It conceals his body rather than adapting to his shape. SD is never boring, always memorable (!), the longer you look the better it gets (minus the whitewashing on the right). SD is the right “challenge”.

The fact that Hyunjin can handle so much glamour whereas Pure Dramatic best sticks to the all-black column look without the glitter and diamonds makes him secondary yin. SD can lean into (Theatrical) Romantic, but on a tall scale. The jewels, the glitter, the soft fabrics, you can put all of this on him. The big florals, too!

Pure D is enjoyable in how contrasted and proportional it us, but it seems more boring than his stylists playing it up and adding more of a genderless element without making it classical drag art; it’s his specialty. His roster of SD hairstyles is endless and we all love it. The wavy ponytail below shoulder length (SD can go even longer anyway). 

Pure D lines also don’t lend enough definition to his face. Wearing one’s Kibbe type HTT (head to toe) naturally makes the face pop, as its surroundings are harmonious. He will be too gaunt in too-straight hair and too-stiff fabrics, the SD volume is missing. E.g. Sehun and Wonwoo (Pure Dramatics) wear this better.

why he’s not dramatic classic

His insane proportions and remarkable face also disqualify him as any Classic. C styling looks good on everyone as it is the midpoint of the Kibbe spectrum and thus accommodates all types. He can pull the plain white dress shirt off, but only with sufficient accessorizing (SD). C drowns in SD, but C jackets are like crop tops on SD (red carpet image below).

In general, his body is not balanced — small waist, very narrow legs, prominent facial features, etc — enough to be described as average. Nothing strikes you about Classics, they are subtle and perfect. It’d be harder to draw Lee Know from memory than Hyunjin. All Dramatics stand out. Classics blend in, staying understated, visually embodying the “handsome, cold yet elegant gentleman”.

how he compares to any other types

Kibbe is about comparing Image Identity: Hyunjin could never be the sporty guy next door like SN Chan; he could never be the SG brand of “short and sweet” (think Sabrina Carpenter, SG) like Felix. Hyunjin has the tall contrasted look of sharp yang types. SD is the dark and sensual god king, SG is the lovely elven prince (yet both have yin lips).

Hyunjin’s ability to ace high-effort styles is only restricted by his lack of Gamine essence, which is K-Pop’s main mode. G types have few rules except breaking the line, SD requires rule-abiding. The floor length, the belts, the longer hair, the intense colors. 

G lines turn to kitsch on SD, it is too “youthful“ for him to maximize the potential of SD. Eclectic Gamine lines are too short. G looks ‘cutesy/fun’ on all other types except on Gamines, who look stylish and cool in them, like FG J-Hope. Everything is ugly unless Hyunjin wears it as they say, but G is too hit and miss (and not “Hyunjin-esque” 😄).

Finally, Romantic is too delicate for him. It needs more oomph and “overstyling”. R is not risky enough for Hyunjin! Yes, he is secondary yin. He looks dainty in it. But it works better with yin guys like Felix, Jimin, Woozi, Wooyoung, Suho, Xiumin, you name it. R clothing looks corny on all other types, but on TR/R/SG it looks flaming hot. Pair Romantic��s velvets and pastels and crystals and transparent fabrics and sparkles and ruffles with Dramatic edges and it works for Hyunjin:

conclusion

Since Kibbe has these type-specific names that set a certain tone or theme: I think luxurious “Divo/Deus Chic” (SD) fits Hyunjin best. As in `godly´ man, since Deus was the male operatic lead, historically, and Diva the goddess. Kibbe has no men’s equivalent of “Diva Chic” so I figured `Deus´ was quite fitting, as Hyunjin does look like one would imagine a seductive deity. 

I see why many type him as Pure D and FN, and he can’t go wrong with DC either if the vertical line is kept, either. He can embody those three essences through acting, styling, working out. But the above-and-beyond ornate SD image sums him up well and dresses him to his fullest. 

He’s close but not quite the masculinely austere Pure D, Kibbe’s “Regal Sir” (D), who tends to be the most mature-looking, dry/stern type, far from Hyunjin’s genderbending visual that effortlessly breaks every boundary of what is considered menswear. He stands out from the common “Spitfire” Gamine idol aesthetic, too (small, lean, youthful, `doll-like´ face — think Taeyong, Jennie, or Yoongi), which makes him so recognizable.

He’s modelesque, moreso than the leisurely, Herculean yet relaxed boho “Free Spirit” (FN), or the understated yet sophisticated “First Gentleman” (DC) who stands at a more medium height and excels in spartan clothing. Most SD men are chronically underdressed, Hyunjin became famous because he barely ever is (props to the stylists!). I love this ID on him, and it has many options, just a feast for the eye. 

I thought about Taemin successfully carving out a niche for himself as a sensual Theatrical Romantic, heavily breaking with mainstream masculinity. Or Lisa (her type is debated, but we can all agree she’s yang-leaning) being known for her tomboy look pre-fame and later blowing up astronomically for her concepts that have no time for the submissive Asian girl trope. They both defied the expected norm, aka FN or FG male idol, SG female idol. In a similar manner, SKZ having so many yin subtypes is probably what made them so appreciated for their lavish GNC styles — and the big stage/a music video is really where you can wear all of this to the max. 

If you think about it, they have yin types in all of the 5 main Kibbe categories! TR Han, SG Felix, SC Lino, SN Chan + Changbin, SD Hyunjin, like how? Perfectly distributed, talk about range! No wonder they can do any concept. Hyunjin and Felix being the most known for genderless fashion is likely due to SD being physically impossible to miss and SG standing out as they are so petite (think Woozi from Seventeen, best example). Kibbe is onto something when he made sharp yang and soft yin the end points of the spectrum.

For the stylists, it must be hard to find a balance between dressing the Naturals VS the several Romantic-leaning members, and everyone in between. They do a tremendous job though most of the time imo, it’s refreshing to see SKZ’s fashion style having courage and forward-thinking instead of catering to a conservative worldview: Not to mention the many contemporary, low quality menswear design landscapes which are nothing short of underwhelming. SKZ create a visual spectacle, that’s one of the many reasons why they stay relevant to the public. I don’t think a group mostly consisting of say Classics could execute their theatrical stage displays convincingly. Example: Wolfgang worked because Chan is Soft Natural. Felix’ runway debut worked because the outfit was Soft Gamine. Hyunjin became a sex symbol as soon as he grew his hair long (a Dramatic characteristic, yin `feminine´ hairstyles are actually short in Kibbe’s system! Think TR Hwasa’s iconic wavy bob).

So, maybe one crucial ingredient, besides other factors, to a successful group is having members from all Kibbe 5 main IDs? To give each a recognizable/particular wardrobe, showcase height differences, be able to stay flexible with concepts, and further emphasize the concept of group roles? If we’re talking male groups in general, EXO has all Kibbegories except a strong R department, but therefore more yin subtypes. The literal exact same goes for ATEEZ and TXT. BTS has at least one Romantic (Jimin), Gamine (Yoongi), Classic (V), Natural (Jungkook), and D type (Jin) featured. That effect is even more pronounced in Seventeen (they almost have all the 13 types, it’s insane) and of course, within NCT we find it all, I mean the numerical chances of them having each Kibbe type present are high anyway lmao!

And of course, SHINee is THE most balanced group: Minho FN, Key SD, Onew SN, Jonghyun DC, Taemin TR! Yes — I am aware Key and Jonghyun are typed as Flamboyant Gamines frequently. Those aren’t bad typings at all, especially since SHINee often did and successfully does a FG concept. But as I see it, Key wears and exudes the Divo aesthetic like no other, and Jonghyun is easily associated with crisp and elegant suits. So even if they aren’t SD and DC, FGs can be type chameleons, as we saw with G-Dragon who’s portrayed every Kibbegory in the book. Long story short and pun intended, let’s crack the code: SHINee being Kibbe allrounders could also be a reason why they are timeless.

The veracity behind racist stereotyping à la „they all look the same“ unsurprisingly proves to be nonexistent, even despite the industry’s persisting Gamine bias for both girl and boy groups. Which, worryingly, shifts toward promoting the too-muscular Natural body for male idols lately. We can anticipate more N types being cast into debut groups to reinforce that ideal. It does seem to create a new „be this type or go home“ beauty standard that is often divorced from the variety fans want to see. Say, nobody campaigns to have Felix look like Terminator Arnold 2.0 😅 He’s grown so perfectly into his Soft Gamine/Light Spring Season style and looks stunning. No need for a gargantuan bicep or pecs out of proportion, or 15 layers of insoles.

So, I wouldn’t want to pump up everyone into a quasi-Flamboyant Natural (the current Hollywood steroid disaster is telling) or slim everyone down to a faux Dramatic or FG (see Ozempic) when we have nothing short of 13 human archetypes, with 12 different seasonal color types on top anyway. You cannot change your ID to begin with, ever — you’d need surgery for each cell of your body. Even today’s possible amount of cosmetic procedures couldn’t change your yin-yang balance completely. You still look best in your original lines. Plus, height and bone shape are hard and painful to alter from head to toe. I prefer Kibbe’s prennial `dressing your own, already beautiful type´ approach, which still applies if someone had lots of surgery, too. Kibbe types are permanent after one’s early 20s.

That’s why I still think the „5-category-SHINee-effect“ does contribute to longevity and artistic merit. Exactly to last through extreme trends (because what’s after N muscles? Maybe skinny like D again, or balanced like C? It cycles on). Styling a group, it’ll never be a hit or miss game if you have all 5 archetypes present. Imagine SKZ doing an edgy/smokey eye concept, the yang members (e.g. Seungmin) will make waves. Or if they do lace and pearls, the yin types will look especially great.

No matter what theme a comeback has, it’ll strike a chord for at least one person. Everyone can have their turn, there’s no forgotten member. [Male] groups consisting of kindred Kibbe types (e.g. only Romantics, which would 100% set them apart) sadly rarely break through. They’d have to stick to one signature style, which probably wouldn’t survive in the capital-driven/high-speed K-Pop trend and fashion cycle, which asks for novelty. I’d love to see groups like that though, like an all Dramatic model squad. There’s still variety within one Kibbe ID’s styling options. Maybe I’ve overlooked some groups whose members all have similar types? Take to the comments and let me know, I’m curious!

after a restful night's sleep here are some of my Macbeth opening night takeaways:

- knees

- the staging is pretty much the same, no major differences other than a few sections of choreography being focused more towards SL or SR rather than central

- Hecate went OFF seriously the cast were alllll matching each other's freak. I think it felt more commanding and threatening in the larger space, rather than sinister in the intimacy of the Donmar

- Dave's hair is shorter than it was at the Donmar. When The Headband™️ comes off in Act II and he's swinging the sword around and his hair's all over the place he ended up having this bouncy lil fringe. Delicious

- Cush Jumbo really said 'let me show you what you've been missing' with her final Lady Macbeth monologue. It was exquisite

- no pool of fake blood at the end :( I hope blood soaked Tennant comes back to us

- sound quality was excellent and the sound team have done a great job bringing all of the equipment over to the Harold Pinter. Macduff's mic started to crackle in one scene, and they managed the sound well enough until he could exit the stage and get the microphone replaced.

so long i've been here, so long are the stories i've written. of what i gathered and lost, loneliness becomes me and pain refuse to depart from me. i've embraced that which ate me away so when you came along, i had no part of me left to give.

It was the moon.

Of all the things that happened, Jongho remembered the moon very clearly that night; shining oh so brightly, acting like a spotlight as if putting the scene that had just happen like it was on a stage, a mocking display of the events that had just transpired.

The image of the woman he had once courted dying in his arms was fresh as if it had just happened the day before. The sight of her eyes fluttering close while the cold night wind caressed his face, mockingly wiping his tears as he mourned the woman who lay lifeless in his arms. As he wailed, there was a clench in his chest. At first, Jongho had thought that it was merely his heart breaking for his lost love but soon he struggled to breathe and before he knew it, chaos ensued with him in the center but even amongst that, he could see the face that would be the catalyst of his entire world changing.

As abruptly as the dream came, Jongho was pulled back to reality where he jolted up as if he had just splashed by ice cold water but in fact, it was just him in his room. Though he was sitting on his bed, it felt like his chest was being crushed by a slab of concrete weighing a ton. It was hard to calm down when it felt like he was being choked or suffocated. The worst part is, it wasn't just due to the lack of oxygen. It was also the fact that the nightmare always seemed to follow him even after decades had passed and it was always fresh in his mind. And it's not just the fact that it was a nightmare, it was also a memory of something that really happened to him, probably the worst thing that had ever happened to him, replaying in his mind like a brain-investing toothpaste commercial with a catchy jingle.

The cherry on top was the fact that Jongho had to live a torturous life, being given a task that is near-impossible to complete by a self-righteous man who was doing harm but refused to believe the fact so he punished Jongho for doing his job. Being a police was always Jongho's dream so being punished for that was a rather big slap to Jongho's face but at least he wasn't turned into a vampire. What a cliche would that be.

In the midst of Jongho trying to calm down (or at least regain the remaining semblance of his sanity), the sound of his phone notification ringing pierced through the silence and almost made Jongho jump in surprise.

Jongho turned his head to his nightstand to see the clock showing 2:09 which immediately made him scoff. "I swear, if it's one of the guys..." he grumbled but he still reached for his phone. Once the screen turned on, it showed that there was a new notification from you, reminding him of the things that he had specifically request to highlight so he could work on them effectively the next day.

'Couldn't you have reminded me this in the morning? Are you aware of the time???'

He texted back and almost immediately, he saw three dots popping up, showing that you were in the middle of texting him back.

'Well I thought you would be asleep :p'

'And why are you not asleep?'

'Don't you have a bedtime?'

Seeing your reply made Jongho roll his eyes annoyedly.

'I don't have a bedtime. I do have a timely guideline as to when I should rest.'

But of course, you had an answer for him.

'Yeah, that's the same thing, gramps :pppp'

Sighing, Jongho willed himself to shut down the conversation.

'Go to sleep (y/n), I need all the strength I can muster to handle whatever it is that may come tomorrow.'

Your reply almost made a smirk crack on Jongho's face.

'Oh please, you're acting as if I won't be there helping you tomorrow.'

'As much as you don't like my presence, you need my assistance and you can't deny that your life has been easier since I helped you.'

'So boo hoo.'

Exasperated, Jongho simply told you to sleep once again before he turned his screen off and annoyedly put his phone back on the nightstand with its screen facing down so that should you text him again, he wouldn't see it.

Although Jongho had already been aware and alert and was in the middle of calming down, your text reminded him of not only his responsibilities both professional and personal but also of the fact that times have changed so much was just annoying. Even as he was falling back asleep, he kept thinking about chastising you the next day so that you wouldn't text him in the middle of the night like that. Who knows? Maybe this time you would listen to him without hurtling a jab about how he was ancient and that he befriends creatures that should be classified as relics. For whatever reason there may be, Jongho still employed you even if he found your jabs and jokes petulant and not funny (Wooyoung and San thought otherwise but their vote for your jabs did not inspire confidence in Jongho). So that night Jongho fell asleep annoyed of the events that transpired but also the events that will transpire, completely missing the feeling of relief of your presence even if it was just momentarily.

She is dead.

I made her immortal.

Her face hanging above mine, the thin smile playing on her lips as her eyes close for good. An angel. That's what I thought as I held up the lens under her blank gaze. An angel who flew through the bullets and the screams. Her body collapsed on top of mine just after catching that last glimmer inside her.

Then nothing. Silence, nothingness.

Me, alive. She, dead.

Maybe because I made the wrong choice at the wrong time.

I don't think about it, I don't think about it anymore. At least, I try. The world looks at me as the one who symbolized in a single photo the horror of war. Others - most - believe that I took death as an opportunity to rise above the world.

But they don't know anything. They will never know.

-So, are you the photographer?

I raise my head towards my colleague. Inside a military truck that agreed to take us with them, there is a mortuary silence, almost as cold as the environment in which we have been operating for weeks. I guess from his accent that he is not American and that he crossed the Atlantic to follow the last decisive round of the conflict. As we all.

-You and I are the same.

-I can't believe you're here, next to me.

- I'm James Ford, The Telegraph. Your photo has gone around the world, my dear. Are you here to repeat your success?

He offers me a hand that I don't want to take, out of politeness I return his greeting before avoiding his gaze. Around us, the soldiers give us glances, sometimes bad, sometimes intrigued, often revolted.

There is nothing worse for them than hearing us talk about our business. Because that's the real problem.

War is our livelihood.

Each of us feeds off their misfortunes and perhaps most of them despise us for that very reason.

-It seems that things are completely in shambles on this part of the front, that your country is on the verge of losing the war, do you know more? I shake my head.

Of course I know more than I want to tell him. But our job is not to pass information on to a rival. It's about doing something with what you have, producing a report that holds up without needing anyone's help.

He thinks he is going to the decisive stage of the conflict, but I know that I am going to the place of our perdition.

The Bible was wrong. Hell is not just made of flames and demons. It is sometimes wet, windy and freezing. Full of humans ready to kill each other for a cause whose source they have forgotten.

The marines barely glance at us when we get out of the truck, entering the polar atmosphere of the camp for good. It only takes a few seconds for a discerning eye to understand that nothing is at stake here, except the little pride these soldiers have left. Wrapped up in my anorak emblazoned with the word press, I take the risk of taking off my gloves to capture a few photos of these men consumed by despair.

Then I saw him.

He was getting out of a truck coming from the combat zones, carrying at point blank range one of his comrades who was visibly in poor condition. The desolation with which he tried to keep him alive gripped me to the core of my being, because that is exactly what I felt that day.

So, after taking a few steps, without greeting my colleague who was already moving away to the other side of the camp, I caught my reflex.

And I took a photo of him. Several times.

First I took an overview. Him and his makeshift companion, on the ground. Him, his hand outstretched towards a group of soldiers running with a stretcher. Him again, a zoom on his features carved in rock, his helmet held firmly on his head by a strap which dug into his skin. Him. His eyes of a color that the zoom could not define perfectly. A strange mixture of caramel and hazelnut. A warmth emanating from his gaze contrasting violently with the ambient cold.

Jostled by a soldier, I interrupt my session considering the chaos reigning around me. My journalistic gear immunizes me against the violence and animosity of the fighters; better still, they must guarantee my safety while some dream of killing me. It is therefore like a ghost that I advance towards the tent into which the soldiers have entered, haunting a place where everyone is unaware of my presence.

-I'm sorry, there was nothing we could do.

The soldier's shoulders slump when a doctor walks towards him, not even bothering to take off his gloves to give him a futile hug. Everyone here knows that one gesture won't replace any deaths, but they're trying hard to keep things warm.

One more photo.

That's what I'm for. Not just to show the horror, but to make people feel all the emotions that result from it. The sadness freezes on the memory card forever while the event floats away in a flood of torment that only peace can dry up.

It was at this precise moment that he became aware of my presence.

He gave me that look in the face like a slap.

A look that had, for a brief moment, bypassed all the barriers I had erected around me to feel nothing other than indifference. I was screwed, but I didn't know it yet.

-Are you okay, did ya get your pic?

Much more fascinating with your mouth closed.

- Would you have started again if that wasn't the case?

I realize I'm going too far. Sometimes I forget that my defenses are not those of others and that it still happens here that someone has feelings.

-Sorry, I shouldn't have. I am…

-No need to make introductions. I know exactly who you are.

-Nice to meet you, Captain Howard. You and your obvious sympathy.

He didn't want to argue, that was understandable, but something pushed me to follow him when he turned his back on me to go to another compartment of the tent. He knew my name and hadn't even introduced himself, reason enough to convince me that I had scented the right target.

Like a snake, I had slipped into a corner of the room, ignoring the looks that instinctively turned towards me before returning to their main point of interest: a large makeshift table where a map of the region was placed. I have no military training, but what I saw there was not a shadow of a doubt.

We were going to lose.

It was there, between the pawns strictly aligned to the north of our position. The reds were going to get us and it was only a matter of time. It was for this reason that I was here, to see my country fall to its knees in front of it stronger than it for the first time in its history.

-We have to hold on until the new armor prototypes arrive. said a visibly exhausted general. So they have to be there within a week, maximum.

Howard remained profoundly silent, his gaze fixed on the table. Strange attitude for someone I thought was rather angry and nervous. He clung to this map as if persisting would allow him to detect the flaw, where no hope remains.

-I suggest we try for a breakthrough here. Continued a visibly confident captain.

This suggestion drew immediate ire from the main protagonist of my report.

-A breakthrough ? he replied, acidly.

-If we manage to progress this far, it will take us little time to act after delivery of the prototypes. We will take the reds by surprise and turn the tide.

-We still need to have the necessary soldiers for this. I lost half of my men in the last attempt.

The observation plunged the room into silence. It was just a polite way of telling him that a man here was just gunpowder. He understood it perfectly because I saw his eyes clouded with bitterness. His helmet removed, I discovered a man of war-worn beauty.

-We can provide you with men, Howard. Captain Brendol puts forward an idea that should not be overlooked.

It had darkened, again, I could see the depth of his distress from where I stood and it was sucking me in, literally.

-Cooper. I can hear that the situation is confusing you, but you're going to have to go back.

-So are we there? Bet on a hypothetical prototype whose real delivery date is unknown ?

-It's an order, Captain Howard. Gather what's left of your corp and we'll provide you with what you're missing. You leave tomorrow.

The discussion was over. The general packs up his things and Captain Brendol gives Howard a triumphant smile. He's the kind of man who likes to show off by proposing suicidal ideas, but not courageous enough to carry them through to the end. There was now only me left in the room.

And him, too, him and his hazel eyes that pinned me to the wall.

-You want to come with us, right? He had swept everything away. His resentment, his fears too, all of that had waltzed away the very moment the order was pronounced. Yet he didn't follow the others, content to stand there and consider me a negligible garbage.

-That's the idea, indeed.

-And it's bad. I'm not going to explain to you wha' you might see there, your mouth will water.

-Too late for that. You already make me dream.

His hand lands on the table next to us and his eyes focus on me like two knives trying to tear me apart. I jumped in spite of myself at the violence of his gesture and his intact will despite the fatigue that stretched his features. He still believes in it, I thought, and if I wasn't so captivated by his will, I would have taken a photo of him

-I think there are things the world shouldn't see.

-And I think just the opposite. I don't think they'll miss a thing.

I stayed there, clinging to my reflex with the firm intention of not giving up any piece of land to this man. It made me wonder which of us was more accustomed to war and who was going to win the one we had just declared. I probably exaggerated my initial intention a little to provoke him a bit more, which was not the idea of ​​the century when you had to find a place among soldiers at the end of their nerves.

But I feared nothing: he could not forbid me from following them. And he knew that just as much as I did.

-Do what you want. But I don't babysit. Me and my men will have other fish to fry to save your skin. But scavengers like you, people who take photos of those who die to win trophies, know that, don't they?

It was in this way, by literally sticking a knife in my heart, that he permanently sealed our lives. Because I will never forget Cooper Howard again, and not just for the meanness he showed towards me from the moment he laid eyes on me.

"Hello?"

"Y/n? It's me, Atsumu Miya."

You glance at Yachi with wide eyes, and she nods frantically, clearly excited by the call. She urges you to respond, gesturing for you to say something to him.

"Oh, yes. Atsumu. Is everything alright?"

"Everything's good. Don't worry. I just wanted to let you know that I've talked to my lawyer, and apparently, we both can't have the same lawyer for the divorce. I've contacted Samu's lawyer, though, and they're willing to help us out. I'll cover the cost, don't worry. They're discreet too, so we don't need to worry about the public getting involved." You try to focus on his words, but his voice flows like honey through the speaker, causing your heart to skip a beat. Yachi taps your shoulder, urging you to respond once again. You clear your throat and quickly start to answer.

"Oh. Thank you. I really don't know what to say. I've been thinking about the public, especially since I found out you're in the Olympic team. I was wondering if the situation would cause problems for you."

"No! No, yer not causing me trouble. It's not like we're under a dating ban. Most of us just try to be discreet about our dating life. Some fans are... a bit obsessed." There's a brief silence, and you debate if you should mention stumbling upon his profile and complimenting him for it. You're technically still strangers, yet it feels like you're the early stages of actually dating.

"But don't worry about that; your husband will take care of that, 'kay?" His tone turns playful, and you snort at the comment. "Okay. Let me know how I can help." You ease back into the couch, Yachi attentively watching you with a curious expression.

"Of course. You could start by telling me about your plans for next week. We need to talk to the lawyers; can you fit me into yer schedule sometime?"

"I have the next week off, so just let me know when works best for you." You smile at the thought of seeing him again, ignoring Yachi's encouraging grin.

"Sure. How about Wednesday? We can have dinner after the appointment; I can show you Onigiri Miya, if ya want? You can say no too; I just thought it would be a good idea to get to know each other. We started rather... unusually." Your cheeks heat up at the memory of how you technically met—waking up naked and married.

"Oh! That sounds lovely, actually. I've seen some pictures of Onigiri Miya, and I'd love to try Osamu's food."

"You've seen pics? Found my Instagram, didn't ya?" His teasing tone intensifies, and you feel even more heat rushing to your cheeks.

"I just- I wasn't trying to-" You stammer, the image of a shirtless Atsumu vivid in your mind.

"Just teasin' ya. Are you getting shy on me now? We literally slept in the same bed; I'd stalk my husband's Instagram too if I woke up married like that." He teases, and you can't help but get flustered.

"I wasn't stalking!" You clarify and clear your throat uncomfortably. "Did ya make sure to follow me? I wanna stalk my wifey too." He laughs, clearly unfazed by the situation, and his lightheartedness quickly transfers to you. "I didn't. I just had a short look; I don't know if I remember your username."

"Oh? You only remember the food on my page? Guess that's the only thing I'm good for. Only known for being the brother of the famous Osamu Miya, chef, and successful restaurant owner. I'll ask Samu to post some pictures of me to gain more followers." He sighs dramatically, and you snort at his exaggerated acting. "Did you just laugh? You seemed so tense before; I'm glad yer feeling better already."

"Thank you. I really appreciate everything." You smile, and even though you can't see his face, you're sure he's smiling too. "And I'll make sure to follow you. Maybe it will help raise your popularity- I want your volleyball career to thrive, after all." He laughs at your words, and you notice Yachi looking at you with raised brows, clearly curious about what you're talking about.

"Maybe I can finance us someday with my volleyball skills. Stick along, wifey. I'll get you an even prettier ring then." You blush feverishly and cough nervously while glance at the ring on the couch table. "The rings don't look too bad actually. The diamond looks almost real."

"Oh, about that. It is real, so make sure to wear it often to show off."

It takes you a few moments to process his words, and you take a sharp breath through your nose as you look at the ring. "What do you mean it's real? Like a real diamond?" Yachi stares at the ring too, and her mouth is agape as she hesitantly reaches for it, holding it in the light. It shines beautifully, and you lean forward to inspect it closer.

"Yeah, real diamond and all that. I found a receipt in my pocket. The rings are from a real jewelry store. I got the certificates for them too. I'll give you the one for your ring when we see each other again."

"I don't know what to say- Atsumu-" You hesitate, gazing at the ring once again. The diamond is not small, not overly huge, but tastefully big enough to shine brightly. "Don't mention it. We'll talk next week? I'll message you the time. I can pick ya up, or we can meet up there; I'm fine with both."

"Okay. Thank you. See you next week, Atsumu."

"See ya, wifey."

You hang up with a smile and stare at the screen for a few moments, until Yachi starts to laugh right next to you.

"'See you next week, Atsumu'- the way you made sure to say his name, ohh, y/n, you're crushing on him."

"I don't even know him, Yachi! And we're in no position to be liking each other; it's just business!" You shake your head and furrow your brows.

Atsumu is a nice guy. Funny, charismatic, kind. And extremely good looking. You know that you realistically have no chance to score a catch like him, and yet, you find yourself married to him. You wonder if he is regretting the whole situation, even though he seems to play it cool. He's on top of his career and you're just distracting him right now in this important phase. He's probably just worried about his reputation, worried that you'd go to the media and claim that he had forced you to do something. He might just be nice to you because he's scared- scared that you could potentially ruin his career. You need to make sure to always remember that and not to let his words get to you.

You'd have to make sure you don't fall for him— or else you'd end up with a broken heart.

Naming Systems #2

Elves and Drow, part 1 (and people descended from them)

Given names | Surnames (Houses)

Given names may in fact be a big deal, as are clan and house names. Elven names are not the most pronounceable in the world.

Shockingly(!) the elves have a stupid amount of lore and then I got carried away examining sourcebook names and created a self-indulgent monstrosity. Once again, this is one part canon and one part educated guessing.

Long post:

Elves have their given names and their surname.

Child names are a long since antiquated practice amongst the elves of Toril, and the name given to a child at birth is normally their given name rather than one they had to 'earn.' Nobles are known to name their heirs after themselves; so you can get Garynnon I and his son Garynnon II. There's a trend of giving half-elven children gender neutral names.

Apparently discarding/changing your name is frowned upon: "An [elf] can of course have almost any birth name, and will rarely change it out of shame."

For surface elves the surname is the name of the commoner clan or noble House (or high House) they were born into. Although apparently: "they tend to dislike the term “clans” as being “too dwarvish”", so even if you're not a noble you're liable to refer to your family as "house [name]." The line between noble and commoner families is blurrier and more prone to fluctuation amongst elves anyway.

For Lolthite drow only the nobility and those who hold titles may use the House name as their surname. It is also forbidden for a House to have a name that begins with L, lest we tempt Lolth's wrath or amusement (depending on her mood). Both moods are to be avoided.

Houses all have family crests and house colours, the latter of which I believe members of the house (meaning relatives and servants who work for the family) are supposed to wear to show their affiliation.

Some moon elven houses, and a few wood elven, appear to have officially translated their house names into Common. "Moonflower," "Hawksong," "Silverspear." The gold elves have not, likely because the majority would sooner see their lineage go extinct before doing that. Even the progressive ones are raised in a culture that considers preservation of unchanged elven culture as a god-given duty.

Noble houses all have their histories and colours and etc, and they took up an insane amount of space so a brief overview of those is a part 2.

In the meantime here are some vague surface elven house names who don't have detail that I know of, so you can make up whatever:

Surface: Amalith, Braegen, Calaudra, Eveningfall, Laelithar, Moondown, Tarnruth, Arruar

And here are some commoner drow surnames:

Xiltyn, Ghaun, Luen, Illistyn,Jusztiirn, Dalael, Hune, Vrinn, Abaeir, Pharm, Quavein, Blaerabban, Blundyth, Argith, Omriwin, T'sarran, Veladorn, Dhuunyl, Mlezzir, Naerth, Olonrae, Zaphresz, Xarann, Wyndyl, Tlintarn, Seerear Yogh'il'rymmin

Performers and such may take "stage names", and elves who are going to be misbehaving will also take aliases "to avoid having their deeds reflect on their family (and perhaps mar ongoing house negotiations with others)."

An elf not using their house name usually goes for a sort of portmanteau in Common: "Fireblade," "Eveningfall," "Neverdeath."

"Many elves who live and work among humans (i.e. members of an adventuring band) adopt a “humans can call me this” surname that’s a portmanteau of a hue and a living thing/natural feature (like Blackrose, or Bluewater)"

Some word of god and some observations about pronunciation:

"Faerunian elves don't normally use D or F or hard-K to begin names"

Although there are exceptions, because I've definitely seen names beginning with D, F and K. -

Vowels may shift. Saevel and Saeval may be seen, -ian, might become -ien or -ion. -

Masculine endings tend to end in consonants, which can be feminised by adding an "a" or "e" onto the end. The "e" doesn't get pronounced, apparently, it stresses the final consonant. ("Kele" = "KeLL"). Sometimes elves and half-elves - particularly genderfluid and nonbinary elves - drop or add the vowel as per their current mood. An example given was a genderfluid half-elf who goes by either Phandarl or Phandarla. Names aren't necessarily exclusively male or female because of that; you can still find elven guys with vowels on the end of their names and ladies who don't. I observe that Drow women seem more likely than surface elven women to not bother with the feminisation of their names. Or possibly it's not part of the dialect. -

Pronunciation and rules shift a little by dialect (a moon elf from Evereska likely does not speak the same as a moon elf from Evermeet nor a green elf from Shilimista; drow in the north would pronounce Lolth 'LOW-th,' spelt like 'Lloth' while others further south might say 'LO-ul-thh,' etc) -

"all the elven names ending in "ael" can be used by any gender" "All of the "-une" elven names can be used by any gender."

"Many half-elves in the Realms seem to bear the "une" and the "ael" names as given names" -

Three syllable names seem to be the average. Two-syllable and four-syllable names are also possible. It seems like the longest, hardest to pronounce names are favoured by nobles. -

No dark elves, regardless of faith, will have names that sound like the name of a deity. It's viewed either blasphemy or inviting bad luck.

The drow dialect has harsher sounds: harder and more frequent consonants, more double consonant's ("mm", "nn", "rr") and buzzing/hissing ("zz" "sz" "ss"), and include a lot of ' , which I think means glottal stops? "Si'Nafey" or "Do'Urden".

Names beginning with "Ch" tend to be drow. -

" "Ph" is used for "F" ." Although it seems that the first f becomes ph, while if it's not in the start of the sentence it is written "f". So Phandarl, but if you add a third slyllable, Arlfandarl.

Judging by Angaradh, "dh" is pronounced like a soft "th" (sooth) and "an" at the start of a word/name is pronounced "awn", like "awww, how cute". SImilarly "am" -> "awm", "arav" -> "awrav," etc

We're entering pure hypothesis stages now, but as time goes on you begin to realise there's a lot of Celtic stuff here (like literal Welsh names like Rhys) so I'd imagine that "th" is a harder variant ("that")

"dd" is probably a dialectal variant of "dh", so soft th again.

and "ch" is a kind of back-of-the-throat growl/hiss noise. If you speak German or Arabic or something you probably get the idea, liebchen.

While there are differences between dark elven and surface elven (and they come in dialects, beside) there is still overlap, so you could still build a drow name out of the same syllable pool as surface elves.

"Nym" remains a common name for elves of all subraces.

And now the part where I lost my mind while breaking up the names of elves in Cormanthyr: Empire of the Elves and Elves of Evermeet.

If you're not here to bash together vaguely "canon" sounding elf names there's no more canon to glean from here on.

This was entirely self indulgent.

As with the human name post, the idea is you take syllables from broken appart canon elven names and stick them together with the endings.

So pick a syllable (Bel) pick an ending (-uth) = Beluth. Then you can make it sound "more feminine" by sticking on a vowel. Beluthe, Belutha, Beluthae, whatever.

Some elven names are three syllables or more, so (A) Abeluth, (Orn) Belornuth. I feel like mixing syllables that begin with vowels and syllables starting with consonants works best.

Minsung x fem!

Synopsis: Nova is the star of K-pop, and also the best friend of Jisung and Minho, she is the girl of the moment, and her falling in love with them will change everything, although it will be for the better... Or not?

You were never patient, it always bothers you to wait, maybe as an artist you were you never had to wait for anything. Or maybe it was that the idea of not knowing what would happen filled your body with anxiety. That’s why you seemed like a Spring right now, while you were waiting for the arrival of your staff, your mind was collapsed from different things, one of them, the night before when you saw Minho and Jisung in the bathroom.

“You will make a hole in the floor if you keep bouncing your leg like this” Minho spoke to you as she entered your dressing room with her boyfriend.

“What makes you so nervous, Noona?” Han’s soft voice seemed almost angelic to you.

“The staff doesn’t arrive, I have no idea where Jay is, and Skyler has a hangover. Today everything must go well and it seems that the world is against me. I swear I’ll throw myself out a window if something else goes wrong” You spoke terribly frustrated.

“Hey, everything is going to be fine, I promise.” Minho answered by sitting next to you, taking you by the waist and sticking your body to his.

“The staff will be here at any time, Jay will appear soon and it will not be the first time that Skyler shows up half drunk” Jisung who was now partially on you and his boyfriend, murmured as he put his head in the hollow of your neck and hugged you. “Everything will go well as always, and if something goes wrong, I doubt it, we will be here for you.”

“We will always be here.” I complete the older boy. “Always for you, Nova, never forget it.”

You always liked being between the bodies of the two boys, but just at this moment, that the perfume that you yourself gave to Jisung for his birthday, was impregnated in Minho almost as if the fragrance sweated and the youngest had new marks on his neck, obviously made during the night before, and that made you want the armchair to swallow you. The simple idea that while you were uncomfortable at the party waiting for them, Lee Know was making those marks, it made you stir your stomach.

You got up from the couch calmly, pretending that you didn’t really feel like crying or vomiting and turned on your cell phone. The photo of the three that you have as a wallpaper saddens you. You appear in the middle, but neither of us’s eyes are on you. Even through the screen you could see how much in love they are with each other, from the way they looked at each other it seemed that you weren’t even there, almost as if you didn’t exist. And you felt like a satellite between two celestial bodies.

“Nova, hey, are you listening to me?” Camille, your stylist, you don’t know when he arrived and took you out of your distressing nebula.

“Mhm of course, of course Camille listens to you.”

“What did I say?” The girl questioned.

“Are you very happy to see me?”

“Yes, of course” I speak as I finished arranging your outfit and its beauty tools. This was the last presentation that Interstellar would make until the next comeback, so it had to be absolutely impressive and everyone seemed more tense and nervous than usual. “I said to be late because I had to look for the locker room and now we have an hour and a half to do your hair, makeup and get dressed, we are against the clock, so you two have to go.”

Being on stage was always your favorite thing, the lights, the buzzing from the speakers, the people excited about your music and the three of you, was undoubtedly the reason why all the effort was worth it. But throughout the show you couldn’t help but be sad, you hoped that your fans wouldn’t realize it although it was unlikely. But the overwhelming feelings about Minsung were slowly collapsing your heart and mind.

“Now will you tell us why you’re so weird, Nova?” Minho surprised you when you entered your dressing room. I was sitting on your couch with a serious face, accompanied by Jisung who looked at you with a grimace. You were too tired, physically and mentally, but how could you ignore them when you knew that all you wanted was to be comforted.

God, how do you explain to them that what makes you strange is that you are in love with them.

It took me a while to update because I wrote and deleted all the time, but here is part two of my favorite guys and I think the third part that I will publish tomorrow is almost ready.
