You gotta share us some papa Kaiba headcanons please 👀 How many children did he end up having?
Tumblr media
3 little bebito bonito dragons. Here are some of mine personal headcanons.
Kaiba was a complete disaster as a parent but he began to get used to it after having his first child - Daisuke. Of course he had assistance from Mokuba , My ocs Touma and Karim.
As many might judge him 'Oh the great Kaiba having kids he must not pay attention to them and ignore them a whole lot' , well that isn't completely true (I have a headcanon in my story for GX that a lot assume this.)
A little wholesome roleplay I had with a bot not so long ago gave me the precious quote of "I wanna live my childhood through my son" and lets say he did with all of his three little monkeys.
As much as he is strict he is also balanced with his children , of course he wants to best but when he gets the scolding of his life from his wife , yeah he tells a different story after that xD.
Absolutely spoils them rotten , especially his little girl. (He will never live down the fact that she wanted to be in the slifer red dorm xD but he made sure for her to be 'comfortable')
As tradition Kaiba teaches them duel monsters , Daisuke was fully invested , which lead to his career of becoming a national pro duelist and champion. Hikaru wasn't that crazy good but he had good skills , he ended up being invested more into science more than anything. As for little Yoko , well she isn't terrible but she wasn't that much into duel monsters , she enjoys the game for fun other than competition and she follows down a career path of becoming an actress. (better than Val at least hahahah.)
He loves to read them bedtime stories , he would often exaggerates , cause lets face it any given chance for him to show off his ego and pride he won't miss it.
He actually took his kids to the construction of Duel Academy and even had a duel with his eldest son Daisuke (Which Daisuke obviously lost.) on one of the arenas that were being built there as a little test run.
The three of them absolutely love their dad and love to cuddle up to him , they are like three little heaters clinging to him from every possible direction xD.
The first thing he ever bought each one of his babies was a blue-eyes onsie , no questions asked hahahah.
They like helping him out when ever he is working on something or just completely get in his way cause eternal children curiosity.
Kaiba doesn't pick favorites cough cough Yoko cough cough. (She is the most like him out of all his kids xDD )
Maybe I'll share some more another time.

requests are open.? 👀
please ignore this if you're not comfortable doing this or have already done this! First, Hii how are you? ♡ hope youre doing great! I kinda wanna see a headcanon of how the rfa would react to mom mc feeling down and not being as cheerful and how they would comfort their children that their mom is okay (i hope it makes sense lol)
RFA comforting their child because they feel bad about Mc is feeling down
Hey there, the funny thing is that that day I actually took my car and ,,ran from home’’ ( like, my bad ass was crying after screaming the shit out of me and drove 20 min to a station near my work place ) after arguing with my parents/ mom XD
I am kind of a crazy nut once something triggers me and yeah, I thought this request was kinda funny…a  big coincidence.
Now, I hope that you too are okay and that you will enjoy reading this Headcanon! Have a nice day!

Jumin
Two weeks passed ever since your mother passed away, the last person you had from your side of the family.
One day, the both of you were talking about raising children and the other day you had to confirm whether this was her body laying there on the tiny table.
Since then, you were emotionally damaged.
You cried most of the time and were just wearing black clothes.
You were very different from your usual self.
So much so, that even your son and daughter noticed that something was off.
In fact, your sadness was something everyone around you, especially your loved ones, noticed.
Your children sat in their room, playing with their toys while you finally got yourself to get out of the bed.
However, despite you not being able to cry anymore, you still didn’t really laugh and were mostly off.
,,Daddy…’’ your daughter asked when Jumin was trying to get the voice of Arielle right.
,,Yes, my daughter?’’ he smiled.
,,Why is Mommy so sad lately? Did you guys argue?’’ she asked him and Jumin could feel his heart break.
Your sadness was something he couldn’t take from you, no matter how many times he held you in his arms, no matter how many times he patted your back, or told you that everything would be alright.
,,No baby…’’ he whispered. The book was long forgotten.
Suddenly, your son stood in the door frame and began to sob.
,,I want to see Mother smile again,’’ he said.
That night, Jumin laid in his daughter’s big bed together with his two children, hugging the sobbing kids and explaining that their mother was just down.
,,You know, the sadness you are feeling right now because your mother isn’t as happy as she was before is the same she is feeling right now because of her own mother,’’ he whispered, remembering that their children still didn’t know that their grandmother died.
The night was a long one and for the first time in his life, Jumin thought that skipping school was actually a good idea.
,,Why aren’t they at kindergarten and school? Are they sick?’’ you asked the next morning after you saw that your children were still in bed sleeping and for a short moment you were the old Mc.
After Jumin explained the reason, the first thing you did was barge into their room.
Your mother for sure would have wanted you to be happy for your children and this was the first step you took to overcome the grieving…
Zen
Everyone once had the one phase in their life, the one time in their life when everyone seemed to go down the river.
The time where nothing was working like it was supposed to.
The time when it seemed as if the world only had bad things for you.
And right now, Mc had to go through it.
Problems after problems were coming onto you, the young mother of two children, although only one survived.
Since you lost the child you were carrying in your womb, you were a bit different.
As if you were offline, you stopped smiling and seemed kind of angry the whole time.
You also got annoyed pretty quickly.
But if there was something that changed, it was the fact that you became even more protective of your daughter.
And of course the young girl noticed that her mother was off.
,,Daddy,’’ the girl began, her hand in Zen’s as they walked through the grocery store.
,,Mhh?’’ Zen asked his daughter, checking if the bananas were alright.
The young father, too, was devastated.
He could still remember your screams that day when you noticed that you were bleeding.
And not even half an hour, the two of you were crying together after learning that your child died.
Zen was slowly healing again, but he knew that you would need a bit more time to fully heal…
,,Why is Mommy so odd lately?’’ your daughter asked him. Zen finally looked up while she began to explain what she wanted to say.
,,She doesn’t go out with Aunt Jaehee anymore. She stopped singing in the bathtub and doesn’t wear makeup anymore.
And I have the feeling that she always tears up when I am about to go,’’ the girl told her father.
Everything was right and Zen had no clue how to tell his little baby that her mother was in pain, a pain that no one could take away from her.
Zen tried to go to a corner with less people before he went on his knees. ,,You know, Mama is a bit sad about something. She will be better soon, but she needs time. Time, love, and support.
The only thing we can do is support her, so don’t worry and just love Mommy. She will soon be the old mommy you knew, okay?’’ Zen asked his daughter, ruffling her hair.
,,Yes! If so, let’s buy her some chocolate!’’ she giggled.
Zen knew that you would be able to heal, but he also knew that this would take some time and he wanted to make sure that you could take all the time you needed to get better…
Yoosung
,,Dad?’’ Yoosung’s son said when he came home.
Yoosung looked up from his desk as he was writing down something.
,,Yes?’’ Yoosung asked, his voice slightly annoyed. It wasn’t something that happened often that Yoosung was in a bad mood. The father was more like the sunshine of the family.
But since you were the mother and your son was rather a mother’s son, whenever you were in a bad mood, it was something that bugged the young boy.
,,Did you upset Mommy?’’ he asked his father, sounding angry with him.
Yoosung rolled his eyes.
,,No, we just argued,’’ he responded.
,,So you did upset her. She’s crying because of you in the kitchen. I don’t like seeing her like this,’’ he said.
Hearing that you were crying was something he didn’t expect.
Yoosung’s expression was soft again, however, the argument was something… rather difficult and Yoosung didn’t really know how to approach you.
But the last thing he wanted was for you to cry because of him.
Yoosung’s son left the room and Yoosung could imagine that he was on his way to hug you.
When Yoosung, however, came to check on the both of you, expecting to see you both in the kitchen, you were the only one left, still being quite aggressive with the tools while you were cooking.
Slowly, without saying anything, the father went towards his son’s room, just to see him just as annoyed as the other members of the family.
,,What did you tell her?’’ he asked, his voice trembling.
,,Mom never rejects my hugs. You really screwed up this time,’’ he hissed, looking up.
Yoosung quickly hugged his son. He was just ten, but it seemed as if he was cooler than his father.
,,I’m sorry, I said something I shouldn’t… don’t worry. I will talk to her. It’s my fault…I’m sorry you had to go though this too,’’ Yoosung whispered, hearing his son whimpering by now.
,,I’m sorry that I made Mommy sad, but don’t worry, everything will be alright again!’’ he smiled.
Jaehee
,,Mom, does Mommy not love me anymore?’’ your seven year old asked Jaehee as she was reading him a bedtime story.
Jaehee paused reading, looked up from the fairytale and tried to process what her son just asked her.
,,I enjoy that you read the story to me nowadays, but usually Mommy did it more than you. She doesn’t smile as much as before and doesn’t talk much lately… is something wrong?’’ he kept asking.
Jaehee was still trying to process. Was a seven years old supposed to behave like that?
To worry about his parents?
To notice that his parents had some problems?
Was a seven years old supposed to think like an adult?
At that very moment Jaehee really guessed that your DNA must have been strong as you were the one who carried the child in your womb.
Jaehee smiled as she put the book aside.
Slowly she went below the blankets with her son and hugged the little boy.
Her hand was softly stroking his face and suddenly it hit her: he was growing up.
He would grow up.
,,You know your surroundings a lot. It’s good to notice things quickly, but you shouldn’t overthink or worry about these kinds of things,’’ she whispered.
,,I know, but I just couldn’t ignore it,’’ he confessed.
He was truly a perfect child.
,,Mommy has had a lot on her mind lately. Don’t worry too much, even though it’s hard,’’ she whispered, patting his back.
,,Why don’t we go and have a picnic with her tomorrow to help her to think of something else?’’ Jaehee asked her son, who immediately was down for the idea.
The next day the two of them really managed to get you out of the house, leaving the coffee shop closed and instead enjoy the warm weather in a park on the grass.
,,Mommy…whatever is on your mind, you can say it to the sun. The sun will burn all your worries with its fire! And then your worries will be solved!’’ the young boy said after the three of you laid together on the blanket.
You looked over to him as he was holding his hand up to the sun.
You slowly teared up as you nodded.
,,The sun will surely burn my worries… Thank you for giving me the idea, baby,’’
Saeyoung
,,There there, why is my baby crying?’’ Saeyoung asked as he found his seventeen year old daughter crying.
It was quite a shock to him and Saeyoung hoped that she wouldn’t confess that she had a boyfriend or was lovesick.
However, to his surprise, she kind of had even worse worries.
,,Baby, you yourself should know how a woman is! She’s just worried about some things! Your mom will feel better soon!’’ he laughed, hugging his daughter.
However, his throbbing heart made her notice that Saeyoung lied.
,,I don’t trust you, Dad… what’s wrong? Please tell me,’’ she begged him.
Saeyoung looked at the girl. She was becoming more and more beautiful.
Her face was yours, the nose, the lips, your hair color.
The only thing that made him remember that he was actually the father of this beautiful teenager was her eye color.
Just like his, as if he was looking at honey.
,,Dad,’’ she repeated. Saeyoung finally realized that he was supposed to come up with a good lie, but before he could say something, his tears were already rolling.
,,Oh my God, is Mom dying?!’’ she gasped, gasping for air before bawling even louder.
,,What?! No! Why are you thinking that?!’’ Saeyoung shrieked, not noticing that he began to cry too.
The both of them actually forgot that it was still four o’clock in the afternoon and that you could hear them from the room next to them, barging in when you heard sobs.
,,What the hell did you do to her to make her cry?!’’ you hissed at Saeyoung, quickly hugging your child.
,,Mom! Don’t die, please!’’ your daughter finally spilled.
It took you a while to explain to your daughter that you weren’t dying and after she finally calmed down, after hugging her for a long time, you and Saeyoung finally shared your worries about her younger brother.
,,Mom and Dad don’t want him to be alone in school and so we’ve been worrying a lot lately,’’ you finally said.
,,But baby, you don’t need to worry. Why are you sad? Mom’s always worried about you guys!’’ you chuckled, stroking her head.
,,Because I love you! I don’t want to see you that sad! Of course I would tear up!’’

characters: black jackals, reader, and schweiden adlers (quick appearance).
warnings: lots of cursing.
word count: 9.3k
a/n: I was supposed to upload this one a few days ago, but I got lazy and I was always feeling sleepy so I didn’t have time to fix it. Hehehe, please enjoy this one! :D I’m lowkey bullying Atsumu in this chapter, but don’t worry, I still love him! XD

When Shugo was appointed as team captain, he didn’t really give it much thought and accepted the title with pride along with the responsibilities that come with it. He had the experience of being a captain when he was still a student, so it’s nothing new. The only difference is that he’s leading a team full of grown men instead of hormonal teenagers.
With a team like the MSBY Black Jackals, one of the top teams in the V.League Division 1, you’d expect players who are more on the professional side of the spectrum, the kind that always means business, practice first relax later, that kind of thing.
However, he was proven wrong when the younger ones of the team, namely, Bokuto Kotaro, Sakusa Kiyoomi, Miya Atsumu, and Hinata Shoyo are involved, the atmosphere is far from serious. Of course, when it’s time for practice they’re more focused, giving 110% into their training.
Even so, once that whistle is blown, signaling a break from practice, all hell breaks loose. If it is not Bokuto and Hinata bouncing around and screaming, it would be Atsumu and Sakusa bickering, well mainly Sakusa roasting Atsumu and the blond Miya trying to come up with the best come back he could think of.
From what Shugo could remember, Atsumu had none so far, so it was safe to say the setter’s verbal game is weak.
It’s not just them either, the older ones, namely, Oliver Barnes, Adriah Thomas, and Inunaki Shion would sometimes join the other four when they’re feeling playful that day, which just give Shugo more problems to deal with, and when all seven of them joined forces it just increase Shugo’s chances of growing gray hair at age 29.
They have a manager of course and he is there to help keep everyone in check, making sure they behave and all. But, with the team becoming even more well known, emails for brand deals, interviews and magazine photoshoots were sent almost every single day that it needs immediate attention and the only one for that job is their manager himself, Mizuno Takato.
Leaving Shugo to mostly deal with the team on his own.
So when Coach Foster and Takato told him they’ll be having another manager to take care of the team’s internal affairs, he was so happy he almost cried.
“Everyone I would like you all to meet, (L/n) (Y/n) and she will be your manager starting today so take good care of her”
You bowed your head as everyone shouted a “Welcome to the team!” with Takato holding up your very own MSBY jersey jacket. As everyone went around to introduce themselves to you one by one.
“Hey, hey, hey! (Y/n) I can’t believe you’re back!” Bokuto bounded over to you, picking you up, then spinning you around laughing as Hinata excitedly babbles beside him.
“Welcome back (Y/n)!”
You giggled, happy to finally see the friends you left all those years ago “I’m home!"
Bokuto gently places you on the ground, planting your feet to the wooden floor as you steady yourself. While the others who were curious about the exchange and the sunshine duo's familiarity with you walks over.
“You know her Kotaro, Shoyo?” Oliver inquired as Bokuto nodded his head, taking hold of your shoulders and pulling you in front of him, facing your new teammates.
“She was our manager back in high school, while Hinata met her during our training camps”
That was months ago and every day you have proven yourself to be a very reliable manager and Shugo could not be any happier.
“Congratulations everyone! That was a very good game” you said, giving them their towels and drinks as they sat down on the bench. Resting their tired muscles and regaining the lost energy from a very tiring 3 set match.
The Azuma Pharmacy Green Rockets were not an easy opponent, especially with players such as Kiryu Wakatsu, who was once a part of the top three aces in Japan and Goshiki Tsutomu who was Ushijima’s junior back in high school. Nevertheless, they still manage and won the game a good way to start their Monday.
“Goshiki’s straight is still as cool as ever” Hinata stated gulping down his water as Adriah and Shugo let out a sigh, remembering how they had problems blocking his spikes because of how close they mostly were to the line.
“He’s a very tricky opponent”
“Here you go, Sakusa-san” you pass Sakusa his own towel, the one you had specifically separated from the others as the spiker nodded at you in thanks, dabbing it on his face whilst listening to his teammate’s give their own commentary of the game and their insights of the opposing team’s players.
“Shugo, someone wants to have an interview” Takato called as the captain stood up from his seat about to walk to where they were waiting before he stops in his tracks and looks back.
“How about let’s have Bokuto, Atsumu, Sakusa, and Hinata do the interview this time?” he suggested, as Sakusa’s lips turned into a frown while the other three vigorously nodded their head They're the stars of today’s game I’m sure the interviewer would love to hear from them”
Sakusa tried to make a last-minute getaway, but Atsumu took hold of the towel wrap around his neck and started dragging him, following after their captain.
“C'mon Omi-Omi, it'll be fun" Atsumu just grinned, watching Sakusa's face morph into a scowl as he tugs on the towel “Just live a little”
“I am living”
You quickly pack the empty water bottles and the dirty towels into the bag that Takato was holding while the rest slowly made their way back into the locker room “I’ll leave them to you (Y/n)”
You nodded, jogging after your teammates and immediately spotting them just outside the court, they've already started because you could hear the questions the reporter were asking them as you move to stand beside Shugo. The interview was going well, they were giving honest answers and honest opinions about the game, however, as it goes on, the reporter seems to have taken a liking towards Sakusa because he seems to be the only person the reporter was pointing the microphone at.
While the three idiots who were being ignored decided it was a good idea to do gymnastics at the back. You and Shugo watch in horror as Bokuto does a double backflip, landing perfectly on his feet, both hands raise high, Hinata mimicking his actions and Atsumu following after with a front split all the while not breaking eye contact from the journalist who had notice them. Sakusa who has had enough just plastered on the biggest I-Don’t-Give-A-Fuck face while giving one-word answers.
Shugo who can’t do anything about it just banged his head on the wall. He wished he could have an early retirement but God he’s still young.
“What happened?” Inunaki asks watching from the door as you scolded the four from their stupid stunt. Only Bokuto and Hinata were the ones who look guilty and were muttering apologies under their breath while Atsumu was pouting saying things like.
"I did nothing wrong" or "She was being rude"
Meanwhile, Sakusa doesn't even understand why you're getting angry with him as well, he answered that woman's question like what he was told to do, he just chose the fastest route and the lady seems happy.
“You’ll see later”
They didn't even have to wait long because, after an hour, the video was already circulating the internet, earning hundreds of views by the minute with people commenting like crazy.
“The good thing is, we just earned ourselves more fans” Adriah laugh, Takato’s phone in his hand, the device letting out a ding every minute as the team’s official Twitter and Instagram account were flooding with notifications of new followers or tagged posts.
«──────────── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ────────────»
Meeting their fans were always one of the things they love to do, the prospect of connecting with people who had supported them throughout the years that they played just keeps them even more motivated to train harder and play better.
“Okay everyone, be gentle with the kids alright? Bokuto, Hinata I’m looking at you” The captain shot the two mentioned players a look to emphasize his point however the mentor-disciple duo wasn't even listening and instead was jumping in excitement, waving at the kids waiting at the other side of the field.
You chuckled, they're just the same as they were in high school and here you thought they've matured a little bit now that they're in their 20s.
Right now, the team was in Kawasaki for a mini fan event held in one of the city's local elementary schools. The team came to an agreement last night, after watching the hilarious black jackals’ post-game interview, that it would not be just fun and games. They should also discuss some bits and pieces of the position they play to give the children some insights and give an early understanding in case they plan to pursue a volleyball career in the future.
However, with kids being kids, didn't seem to care nor interested in the slightest because once it started, they quickly run to their favorite member and started climbing them like trees. The tall ones, especially Adriah and Oliver have at least two kids hanging on each arm, with one of their back, and another on their leg.
"It's good work-out" Takato noted, telling the other kids to do the same to the rest of the members before snapping a few photos to update the fans of the team's schedule for the day.
You guffawed watching as they tackle Atsumu to the ground, the blond screaming for help while clawing at thin air for something to grab.
"Don't worry Atsumu-san, I'll help you!" Hinata tried so hard to pull Atsumu up, but another kid jump on his back resulting in him losing his footing and falling beside the setter.
Bokuto wanted to offer his assistance, but a little girl accidentally tripped him, landing on the two.
"Bokkun, yer heavy!"
"Sorry!"
It turned into a messy dog pile and Sakusa, who was beside the chaos, move his own horde of children to another area before showing his wrist trick. A chorus of oohs and aahs was heard, as the kids watch with wide eyes as it easily bends forward before a boy decided to do the same, but backward, and you have never been so bothered by something before.
You close both eyes, involuntarily shuddering 'Goodness, what are they feeding these children?' you crack an eye open to take a quick peek to check if they stopped but no, another kid also wanted to show his own freak talent and now there's three of them.
You turn around, you're just going to let them do their thing, they seem to be enjoying it anyway.
Feeling a tug on your skirt, you look down to see a little girl looking at you with sparkling eyes.
“Onee-san, you’re so pretty” she said in awe, as you leaned down to be at eye level with the girl.
“Oh? But you’re prettier”
She shook her head, and place her small hands on your cheek “But onee-san is like a princess”
You clutch a hand to your chest at how precious this little girl was, Takato was definitely having a field day because he has not stopped taking pictures. The girl took your hand and led you towards the garden, sitting you down under the tree as she picks up a flower crown and placing it on your head.
“There! It fits you perfectly!” she beamed as you try your best not to just wrap her up in your arms and hug her all day, she was just so cute. Her smile is so bright that somehow she reminded you of Hinata, a ball of sunshine with smiles that could light up the whole room.
“Do you have another one?” she nodded her head and showed you another that was half-finish. You remove a few pieces of flowers, switching it with ones of a different color then adjusting its size before tying both ends.
“Now, there are two princesses” you put the crown on her head as she giggled.
You continued making more flower accessories with her, flower bracelets, flower necklaces, and the likes then putting them on each other. She was a bright and bubbly girl, she would share you some stories of her and her older siblings, her parents and her friends in the elementary school.
You wanted to hear more, she was a good storyteller.
Time flies by so fast when you are having fun is what they would always say and you agreed with that saying because before you even knew it, it was time to go home. Everyone is standing by the gate, saying their goodbyes and telling promises to visit again.
“Bye-bye, pretty onee-chan!” she waves at you, standing beside her teacher, proudly wearing her flower accessories.
Later that evening, everyone was lounging around in the living room, tired from playing with the kids all day. The others were watching the news, however, no one was even listening to the television, because their attention was in the game Oliver and Shugo were having.
Inunaki leaned down to whisper something to Oliver, who's face light up, as he moves his queen to eat Shugo's rook.
"Hey, no coaching!"
Inunaki just shrugs his shoulders in response as he discusses their next strategy.
"I'll help you Meian-san" Hinata took a seat beside his captain, observing the board with such concentration. Brown eyes carefully scanning the positions each piece were place before whispering in Shugo’s ear. Following his suggestion with no doubt whatsoever, Shugo moves his queen forward only for it to get eaten by Oliver's pawn.
“Bwahaha!” Atsumu was bent over, clutching his stomach as he wipes the tears forming at the corner of his eyes while Bokuto tries to console his dejected kouhai in between laughter.
Inunaki and Oliver snickered sharing a high five.
«──────────── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ────────────»
“Adriah, I need you to tighten that block a little more!”
“That’s good, keep it up Kiyoomi!”
“Okay, follow up, follow up!”
You stood at the sidelines, your eyes following their move as they were currently having a match against each other, Coach Foster and Takato were beside you observing the men on the court while occasionally giving out directives.
A camcorder was prep on your left side to record the practices, the videos will be used as a study material to properly assess the things that needs to be corrected in order to improve their gameplay. While you note down the commentary Coach Foster was saying to add later.
It went on for an hour, their stamina never fails to amaze you as they continuously, jump, dive, and run just to keep the ball in the air. After checking his wristwatch Coach Foster decided that it was time to end the training for the day. So he blew his whistle and the game immediately came to a halt, the ball bouncing on the wooden floor and they drag their tired bodies to gather in front of him, wiping their sweat with their shirt as they waited for his announcements.
“Okay boys good job today, keep in mind what I said and practice more on what you need to improve”
They slowly bob their head up and down, too tired to give out a verbal reply. Coach Foster doesn’t seem to mind because he knows they’re taking his advice seriously.
“This will be the last practice for this week so enjoy your weekend off and rest properly”
After that, they immediately spread out and started cleaning up the gym as fast as their tired bodies can so that they could finally rest and eat some good food.
"Shugo I need the report for last week, can you give it to me by tomorrow?"
"Yes coach, I'm almost done"
Lies, he hasn't even started yet and he was nervous that he won’t be able to finish it on time and if he ever submit the report late, Coach Foster was going to whoop his ass. So many things have happened this week that he never finds the time to start it yet, not even a single paragraph.
No, not even a single sentence.
Seeing your captain's inner turmoil, you walk up to him and whispered "Don't worry, I'll help you"
Shugo shot you a grateful smile, ruffling your hair "You're a savior kid"
That was how you found yourself sitting in the kitchen counter, laptop in front of you, staring at your current work. It would have been easy if the report was in Japanese but Coach Foster prefers it in English.
Shugo was sitting across you, hands fast and typing away, Takato was seated beside you rewriting your notes while the others, who still weren’t feeling sleepy at 11 pm were in the living room watching a movie.
"How do you spell Schweiden again?"
"S-c-h-w...uhh" Shugo's mind seems to have failed him mid-spell as he closes his eyes to try and remember.
"S-c-h-w-e-i-d-e-n" Sakusa finished for him as he walks into the kitchen to get himself a glass of water. The movie must have already ended because the others were already piling into the kitchen, cans, and bottles of drinks in hand and food wrappers place in bowls.
"How's the report going?" Inunaki peered behind Shugo's shoulder.
"It's going great" It’s not, it’s actually not, Shugo is definitely close to pulling his hair out. He glared at his laptop as he continues on smashing the keyboard keys, opting to finish the report as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, you felt like your brain was short-circuiting, English is definitely a hard language, it's complex, it's tricky and certainly a pain. One word can mean two things depending on the pronunciation and its sentence usage and can have a whole different meaning when spelled and one letter is missing, like for example 'public', take one letter out and what do we get?
Pubic.
Anyway, that's not the point, the point is English is hard, and you were close to losing your mind.
You took a sip of your drink, which was coffee mix with a monster energy drink, it was definitely death in a cup but you couldn't care less. You need to stay awake and your deadly concoction was doing a great job keeping your eyes open.
"You know” you started resting your chin on your palm, taking a break from your suffering “I find it amazing how the names of professional volleyball teams are so long like-”
You scroll through the list you have saved in your laptop's notepad “-three to five words at most yet they are referred to by a single name"
"What do you mean?" Takato shifts his eyes from his notebook to you tracing the rim of your cup as your eyes focus themselves on the ceiling.
"I mean there's the Eastern Japan Paper Mills Raijin and everyone calls them Raijin, the Azuma Pharmacy Green Rockets is called Green Rockets while Schweiden Adlers is referred to as Adlers"
"Yes, go on"
"MSBY Black Jackals is sometimes called MSBY or Black Jackals but even those names are a mouthful"
By now, everyone's attention was on you, curiosity flooding their mind as they wait for you to finish.
"So the team is mostly referred to as BJ" you look up and with the most serious face ever, you said "But has anyone even realize that BJ also stands for blowjob?"
Hinata, who was drinking a glass of milk choke on his drink while Atsumu slowly turns to look at Bokuto mouthing a "What the fuck?"
Oliver let out a nervous chuckle "You should take a break (Y/n)" he tries to set your laptop aside so you could rest your exhausted brain, but you shook your head and started working again, finally having the idea outlined in your head. That short break was very effective because your hands were seamlessly gliding over the keyboard keys, as input more words in to your work.
"Also, what does MSBY even mean? Most Significant Byte? I don’t get it"
They don’t get it either, as to where this is all coming from. They swore you have it stored in your mind for so long and just waited for the right moment to tell it.
It was amazing too because while you were going on and on about anything that you could think of, you were also typing on your laptop. Hinata took a peek to see if you were actually doing your job instead of just key smashing, but he was surprised when he saw you busting out an actual paragraph in English while spewing out nonsense in Japanese.
Multi-tasking sure is an impressive skill. He should learn it sometime.
You ran a hand through your hair, you were starting to have trouble again. You were in the zone for about 30 minutes but after that, the effect of your drink started to wear off and you were on a dead end.
The others had decided you hang out in the house's big kitchen doing their own thing, your eyes darted from every corner of the room, trying to find some sort of a cure to help your mental block.
Adriah was seated next to you scrolling through his phone as he nibbled on a pocky stick, you tap him on the shoulder as he looks up at you questioningly "Adriah-san, could you slap me in the face?"
Taken aback by your request he sputtered, almost dropping his phone "W-what?"
"I need something to keep me awake and this is not working anymore" you gestured to your now empty cup "I'm guessing the pain might keep me awake until I'm done with this"
Now, if you actually wanted to feel pain you could have asked at least one of the team's spikers, but you were not dumb enough to actually do that.
Adriah search your eyes for any signs that you were joking, but he found none "Are you sure (Y/n)?"
You assured him that it would be fine, so he raises his hand up as you prepare yourself for the impact.
Sleep must have been overtaking everyone's mind because it took them a few seconds to realize what was happening. Adriah's hand already collided with your face, he had underestimated the force he put in that slap but then soon find out he put too much when a smack resonated inside the kitchen as your body fell from the stool and landing on the cold tiles.
The whole room erupted into a panic as your body lays unmoving on the floor.
“Oh meu Deus!”
"Shit, shit, shit. Adriah what did you do?!" Inunaki kneeled down beside you, the cheek where Adriah hit was glowing red with a visible hand mark starting to form.
"I don't know, I just did what she ask me!" Adriah replied, equally as panicked.
Takato was now checking your pulse, to see if it was still beating. It was a bit exaggerated, a slap wouldn't kill you but with how strong Adriah did it. Takato wouldn't even be surprised if you snapped a vein in your neck.
Bokuto being the drama queen that he is, was shouting words like “(Y/n), don’t die you’re still young!” followed by a “Akaashi will be so sad if you go!”
And Atsumu, instead of being a good senpai that he claims he is, didn’t even think to help you. Instead, the first thing he did was to grab his phone and went live on Instagram to broadcast the madness happening in your shared kitchen.
"Goddammit Adriah!"
"Why are you blaming me?!"
Fortunately, you just passed out; picking you up, Takato carried you back into your room, and tucks you in. Gently closing your door, he goes back into the kitchen to calm them down before the neighbor calls the police on them.
He let out a heavy exhale, rubbing his temples “They’re hopeless”
What would he do without you?

When you woke up the next day, you could still feel a stinging sensation on your cheek, your head hurt as well, you wondered what happened to you after you blacked out. You sat up in your bed, rubbing the sleep from your eyes and checking the clock on your night stand to see that it was already 8 am.
So you get out of bed, and walk downstairs into the kitchen to see everyone already there preparing breakfast. It seems like it wasn't just you who woke up late, because after Adriah slapped you to sleep, Shugo roped all of them into helping him with his report, and since none of them were familiar with the job. It took them until 2 am before they were finished and immediately e-mailed the document to Coach Foster.
"Good morning, how's your cheek?" Oliver eyed the slowly fading red mark on your cheek, standing besides Inunaki, holding a plate as the libero carefully places the pancakes in a neat stack, then flipping the other one that was still in the pan.
"It still hurts a little" you took a seat between Hinata and Sakusa, already eating their breakfast.
Adriah passed you a plate with five pancakes stacked on top of each other, a slice of banana on the side, followed by a cup of your favorite coffee. Your eyes were literally sparkling, the food looks so delicious and it smell so so good you almost drooled “I'm sorry about last night"
He gave you a gentle smile, eyes soft, whoever was going to be this man’s future lover sure is very lucky.
"There is nothing to be sorry about Adriah-san, I was the one who asked for it" He was such a sweetheart, it wasn’t even his fault yet he took the time to prepare your food himself, now you just felt guilty by asking him to hit you.
You took the bottle of maple syrup Sakusa handed to you as you drizzled some of it on top of your pancakes "Also, please remind me to never do that again"
Everyone collectively agreed, after last night's scare, there was no way they were going to agree to any odd request you have, no matter how serious you were.
Breakfast was quick, mainly because everyone had a photoshoot to attend at 10. It was a magazine photoshoot for a swimwear by a very well known brand, however it was also the photoshoot they were looking forward to. Because not only was the brand a favorite of theirs, they’ll be partnered with famous models as well, so it was a win-win on their part.
After everyone was finished, the dishes were immediately cleaned, the table wiped off of any food crumbs while the trash was taken out. The guys went back to their room to get ready, and once everyone was ready to go, they piled into the bus as it drove off to the beach which was the venue for the photoshoot.
"It's sure is refreshing to be walking by the sea" Inunaki gazed towards the blue water splashing along the shore, following after their two managers towards the area where tents, chairs and cameras were already set-up.
"It looks so beautiful too" Oliver said, kicking the white sand under his flip flops as the staff led them to the chairs lined out. The make-up artist immediately worked on their look that was going to be aligned with the photoshoot's theme.
"Ahh~ it's so hot" you hold the mini fan closer to Bokuto's face while Sakusa takes the one you were holding out for him, beads of sweat running down your face as Takato took care of the others. Of all the times they have to choose, it has to be in the middle of the day, when the sun is up and proudly shining.
The models were in another tent, dressed in their robes while they waited for the stylist to finish the last touches on the boys’ hair, once done, they changed into their designated swimwear, while the girls removed the robes they were wearing.
It took them about two hours before they were finished, the director wanted to get as many shots as he could so he had plenty to choose from. The break in  between takes were crazy because the make-up artist and stylist had to jump from one person to another just to do some retouches, the girls especially, were very fussy and wanted their make-up redone every thirty minutes.
“This is the last time I’m working with models” Sakusa grumbles, as you hand him a packet of wet wipes as he takes a piece and rubs the lipstick stain off his cheek when the model he partnered with gave him a kiss earlier.
You could only offer him a sympathetic smile, even though this was not his first endorsement, he still wasn’t used to interacting with strangers. Not so keen to them casually touching him and invading his personal space.
“Oh Kiyoomi~” Sakusa let out a groan before turning to look at the woman jogging towards him, already changed into a yellow sundress and a sunhat on top of her head. “Here”
She placed a folded paper on his palm “Call me” then blew him a kiss before she walked away. Sakusa opened the paper to see her name, number and even address written on it.  He stared at the paper for a good second, before he met your eyes.
He just looks so done with everything.
“Isn’t this our lucky day?” Shugo whistled, pieces of papers on his hand while slinging an arm around Bokuto’s shoulder and sharing a grin with the pepper haired male. With Atsumu trailing behind them, saving the ones he received in his phone. Oliver threw his away because he’s happily married, while Adriah, Inunaki and Hinata gave theirs to either Bokuto or Shugo.
“The models” Sakusa started, looking at them as he crumples the paper on his hand “They’re married, all of them”
Oh
Shugo dropped the papers in shock, jaws slack while Bokuto immediately deleted his copy, not wanting to get involved in a scandal just in case, and Atsumu was still having second thoughts, staring at his phone, his thumb hovering over the delete button.
Should he or should he not?
Sakusa just rolls his eyes before stalking off into the tent.
They quickly change back into their own clothes, leaving the venue with bags of the swimwear they just modeled. The brand’s logo is big and bright in the middle as your group walks to where the bus was parked.
“Ah, Captain Jackal” Shugo turned his head to see Schweiden’s captain walking over to him, wearing their team uniform, his hand raised in a wave.
“Bird” He leaned to the side noting the group of children crowding behind the area where he just left “Were you doing a meet and greet?”
“Yes, surprisingly the kids love Ushijima and Kageyama” Fukuro pointed to the two mentioned players with kids crowding at their feet, some hanging on their back while the others tugs on their arm “By the way, is (Y/n) here?”
Shugo pressed his lips into a thin line, turning his body to face Fukuro properly. “I know what you’re trying to do”
“No, you don’t”
“We’re not giving you our manager, get your own”
“But you already have two!”
“I don’t care!”
They glared at each other, a month after you became a part of the team, Fukuro tried to recruit you into joining the Adlers. He even sent Ushijima, Hoshiumi and Kageyama to talk to you hoping that the idea of having familiar faces in the team would change your mind but alas, you were more comfortable with MSBY so you declined every attempt.
However, Fukuro found your one weakness and he’s using it to his advantage whenever he can.
He caught sight of your figure standing near the bus, he shot Shugo a smirk before cupping his hands around his mouth “Oi (Y/n), Adloo’s here!”
They heard you gasp, letting out an excited squeal.
“Adloo!”
You shove your things into Atsumu’s hands and sprint towards the mascot who was already holding out his arms for you. Shugo felt his eye twitch at the smug look on Fukuro’s face as they watched you rock the mascot back and forth with glee. He marched to where you were burying your face on Adloo’s soft fabric and plucking you from its side, then walking towards the bus, but not before shooting Fukuro the dirty finger.

It was finally the weekend and it was the start of their long awaited day off, Takato had left early to go home to his pregnant wife while Oliver also went home to his family. Leaving the single ones to enjoy the weekend to themselves. It was already 8 am and you were currently sitting on the laundry room’s floor, separating the whites from the colored ones.
The dirty laundry had been left lying there for almost a week because of how busy everyone was, everyday there was always something new to do, new places to go, and new schedules to follow. Now that it was Saturday, you took it as the chance to finally do it.
Picking up a piece of shirt, you saw a big spider laying underneath it. You jump up, letting out an inhumanly shriek as it circles around in its place.
“(Y/n) are you okay?! What happened?!” you pointed to the spider now crawling the walls of the washing machine, while running to hide behind them in the hopes they’ll get rid of it.
“What the fu-”
“Miya, kill that thing” Sakusa pushed Atsumu forward as the blond stumbled into the room, brown eyes zeroed in on the insect in fear that it might jump on him the second he turned away.
“Are ya crazy?! That thing’s huge!”
He jammed himself in between Shugo and Adriah, pushing the two forward to be the new sacrificial lamb, the bug now sitting on the top of the washing machine stared back at them, unmoving. Black orbs following their movement, calculating, as if choosing his victim.
Which of these idiots should it jump on first?
“That’s it, this place is infected, we’re leaving”
“Hold on a sec, we ain’t leaving this place just because of one spider” Atsumu tried to reason with the man, but no luck however because Sakusa just thought of another way to get rid of the spider.
“Fine, lets burn it down then”
Sakusa turns to retrieve a fire starter and gasoline from the supply closet, actually serious. Atsumu quickly grabbed the back of his shirt, stopping him from actually setting the house on fire. If there was one thing that everyone learned from being with Sakusa for so long, when he says he is going to do something, he is going to do it.
No bullshitting.
So if he says he’s going to throw Atsumu out of the second floor balcony, best believe he’d be doing it an hour after his declaration.
“Even worse! This house costs millions Omi, our combined earnings won’t even cover for the damage!”
“Actually, it can”
“(Y/n), yer not helping”
“Okay, that’s enough” Shugo went in between the two “Let’s catch the spider first before it gets away”
“Uh… Meian-san” Hinata lifted a shaky hand pointing to where the arachnid was supposed to be, but the space is empty. Panic ensues and everyone searches high and low for the bug, lifting up furniture and other decorations looking behind paintings and opening kitchen drawers.
“Everyone it’s here!” Adriah called from the living room, he tiptoed towards the spider, jar in hand, ready to catch it in case it disappears again. You held in a breath when he was only a few centimeters away, slowly he lifted the jar and covered the spider. Sliding a paper underneath it, then took it outside to dispose of it.
Inunaki let out a sigh of relief before walking back into the kitchen to finish inspecting the fridge for any more ingredients to cook. The gang had decided to have Shabu-Shabu for lunch later and he was checking if there were enough ingredients left to serve 8 people. While you went back to the laundry room to load the clothes into the washing machine.
“We need to buy more” Inunaki closes the fridge door, as he checks the cupboards for the sauces and other spices.  “Meats and vegetables especially”
He took a piece of paper and wrote down what needs to be bought, double-checking the list if he forgot anything.
“We’ll go!” Atsumu pulled Hinata and Bokuto towards him then pointing a finger at Sakusa who was spraying the kitchen counter with some lysol then wiping it with a rug “Omi-Omi too”
“What? No”
He declined, but the blond just ignored his protest before looking at the older members. “We’ll be fine”
“Are you sure?” Adriah leaned on the counter as he looked at the troublesome four, they have done grocery shopping so many times before and it always turned out okay, the only difference is that before there was at least one of the older members accompanying them, while this time, they were choosing to go by themselves.
“No need to worry Adriah-san” Hinata tried to reassure the man, and although Adriah did relax a little he still hadn’t agreed to it yet. You walk in the kitchen, the first batch of laundry already in the washing machine, tumbling around as the detergent removes the dirt and bad smell.
“I don’t see a problem” Shugo pipes up “They’re adults now, I’m sure they wouldn’t fail something as simple as grocery shopping”
Inunaki was still a bit hesitant, his eyes darting to each face of the younger members of the team, though mainly focusing themselves on Atsumu and Bokuto, because he knows those two share a brain cell but don’t know how to use it.  However, Shugo is right, so he gave you the list and the money before following the five of you into the garage.
“So who’s driving?” Shugo held up the keys, twirling them on his fingers while they put on their face mask and cap to avoid getting recognized in public.
“I will”
He stared at Atsumu, eyes blinking before turning to you, jiggling the keys. “(Y/n)?”
You shook your head. “I’m still learning Meian-san”
“Ya gotta trust me captain!”
“I find that hard to do Atsumu”
Shugo retorted, but still dropped the keys to Atsumu’s hand as the blond opened the car and turned it on.
“Don’t damage her!”
“We won’t!”
The three of them watched, as the car went out into the driveway and zoomed through the streets. Leaving a trail of dust behind as the vehicle went out of sight in just seconds.
“I think, I made a mistake”
«──────────── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ────────────»
You stumbled out of the car, your heart beating fast and knees wobbly, clutching the side of the door as the trauma of a near death experience still haunts your mind.
"I think I'm going to throw up" Hinata pressed his palm on his mouth, face pale, his other hand wrapped around his stomach as he tried to contain the puke threatening to come out.
“I thought you said you could drive?” Sakusa shot Atsumu a glare, adjusting his mask. When the setter offered to drive, you thought he was actually good at it, you did not expect for him to almost crash the car at the gasoline station or nearly run an old woman over.
“That was dangerous Tsum-Tsum” Bokuto massaged his forehead, he hit the back of the driver’s seat rather hard when Atsumu slammed his foot on the break, just a few feet away from killing an old lady. Fortunately, there were no traffic enforcers nor police officers nearby and the woman didn’t even realize she was close to meeting her creator today. She happily crossed that street, as if she owned the place.
“Hey! I’m just not use to this car okay?” the setter reasoned patting the car’s hood, rubbing his palm over the sleek black top “It’s different from the one I drive back home”
“If you can drive it doesn’t matter what car, you’ll still be able to drive it properly” Sakusa crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow “Did you even pass your driving test?”
“Of course I did, I got 90%,” Atsumu answered proudly, placing his hands on his hips with his head held high and his lips upturned into a smile.
“Was the instructor a girl?”
“Yes”
There was silence, everyone staring at him doubtfully, eyes narrowed and judging.
“Stop looking at me like that!”
“But guys…” Hinata called as he waved them over, pointing at a long scratch mark on the passenger’s door. It was big, about an arm’s length. “Captain is going to kill us”
You walk around the vehicle to check the other side, to see another one on the side of the car’s hood. You clutch your head in frustration, face drained of any color, it would’ve been okay if it was just one, but there’s actually two of them. “Meian-san just bought this four months ago”
“We have to pass by a repair shop before we go home” Bokuto scratched the back of his head. “Tsum-Tsum is paying for the paint job of course”
“Alright, alright. Sheesh. Let’s go buy the groceries first” Atsumu quickly huddled everyone together and started pushing you all into the market’s entrance.
The farmers’ market is always the best place to buy ingredients, it’s cheap compared to the ones sold in malls where prices are doubled, sometimes even tripled, and it’s just ridiculously expensive. You can bargain with the vendors as well, in case some of the items were a bit too pricey. Luckily, the market isn’t too crowded, there weren’t many people buying yet which was unexpected since this place is usually packed during the weekend.
However, there was also one thing that you didn’t expect. Apparently, with how many times you frequent this place during your shopping trips, either one of the boys had made friends with some of the vendors.
“Hinata look, it’s you!” Bokuto held a tangerine next to Hinata’s head lifting his hat a little and grinning at how the fruit’s color was almost the same shade as his disciple’s hair.
You pick up another tangerine, examining it for any damages before looking through the rest of the ones displayed. While the others look through the rest of the fruits they offer, bananas, avocados, apples and some grapes. Anything they found very appealing was picked up and placed inside the bag.
“How much for all of these?” you look at the girl, pointing at the bag that’s almost filled with fruits, but she seems to be looking at something else. You turn around, following where her eyes were focused to see the troublesome four eating some of the fruits.
“We haven’t paid for those yet!” you shriek before turning to the girl again and bowing furiously “I’m so sorry! I’m so sorry!”
“Wouldja relax (Y/n)-chan?” Atsumu took hold of your shoulder, stopping you from hitting your forehead on one of the crates “These are free samples”
He pointed to the little corner of the stall where smaller size crates were neatly arranged, three pieces of each fruit sitting inside with the sign reading free sample, pasted at the front.
“They’re really good (Y/n), here” Bokuto fed you a piece, watching as you munch on the sweet and juicy fruit.
You let out a hum, swallowing the fruit “This is good” you turn to look at the girl, eyes wide “This is really good
She gave you a shy smile, a light shade of pink now visible on her cheeks “Really? Thank you”
“So, how much for all of these?” you opened your bag, pulling out your wallet.
“It’s okay, this is free”
You almost drop your wallet from what she said, you shook your head fishing out a few thousand yen bills and giving it to her “No, this is too much”
She pushes back your hand, lifting up your bag and giving it to your companions “Consider it as a gift” then she moves to serve the other customer in waiting, waving your group goodbye.
Sakusa pushed you to move when he still saw you staring at the rejected money in your hand, leading you to where you were going to buy your meat. Passing through the vegetable stands where you still need to buy some for when you’re finished at the butcher’s shop.
“Hiruma-san good morning!”
“Ah, come in come in!” an old man from behind the counter grinned, lifting the clever over his head before bringing it down on the thick meat place on his wooden chopping board. “What would you like today?”
He wipes his hands on his apron, walking behind the glass case grabbing a tong, snapping it a few times as they pick the meat they like for their lunch later. They were pointing mostly at anything they lay their eyes on, and Sakusa has to remind them about the budget and that they can’t have pork, beef, lamb, and duck at the same time.
“The others didn’t come with you today?” the old man asked, picking up the pork and beef slices that were far too many and bagging them.  Then he grabbed another bag and went to the fish area.
“They’re busy at the house”
At the corner, you were counting the money, mentally calculating your budget again. The old man was giving large portions of the meat and you knew that it wasn't very cheap. Just a few cuts alone were worth a few hundred yen, what more when there are two types of meat involved with different varieties of fish thrown into the mix.
He tied the bags then gave it to Atsumu and Bokuto as Sakusa refused to touch the raw meat, not until it had been washed properly, not even if it’s packed away in a bag.
“This one is on the house”
“What? No!” you scrambled towards the man, almost tripping yourself in the process “Hiruma-san please just take the money, this is too much”
“This is a thank you for being such good patrons” he didn’t even let you say another word, the man just walked off to the other side of the display case catering to another customer who walked in.
What is up with these people ignoring you?
Hinata led you out, patting your back, chuckling at the pout on your face.
“Hinata, is our money not good enough?”
“Maybe they’re just feeling generous today (Y/n)”
You stood outside the shop, eyebrows furrowed in thought, you were starting to wonder if they were genuinely just being generous folks or there was something hidden behind their actions.
“Now, all we need are the vegetables then we can go home”
You look around for a nearby vegetable stall, one that you think is not friends with any of the guys so they’ll have no choice but to accept your money like a proper businessman.
“That one” you pointed to the one just besides the meat shop. “I’ll go”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, just stay put” then you walk off face determined. “Hello”
The vendor put down the crate he was holding, wiping his hands on his pants and walking over to you.
“(Y/n)?” You internally groaned, your old high school classmate standing in front of you at the other side of the stall, and here you were hoping it wouldn't be anyone you know.
“Masuda, long time no see” you nodded your head at him, picking through the vegetables. They were all fresh, he must’ve just arrived.
“Yeah, six years is a long time” He grabbed a basket holding it out for you, as you picked out, mushrooms, carrot, green onion and napa cabbage. “Doing some grocery shopping for the team?”
He gestures to the large amounts of vegetables you’re dropping in the basket “Yep, they’re big eaters. All of them”
He laugh placing them inside a plastic bag “They’re athletes after all”
“How much?”
You accepted the plastic big, the money ready in your hand.
“No. it’s free” you squint your eyes at him, pursing your lips “Consider it as my payback for helping me so many time during high school”
“School has nothing to do with this Masuda” you grab his hand, slamming the money on his palm “So for the love of all things holy, just accept the money”
You stared him down, daring him to refuse it one more time. He nodded his head, clutching the cash as you walked away satisfied that finally, finally, someone accepted your payment. You swore, if these people just keep on giving their products away just because the customer is a friend or a relative, you won’t be surprised if they go home without any profit at the end of the day.
“Let’s stop by the repair shop first then we’ll go home” Atsumu reminded before looking down at Sakusa’s outstretched hand “What?”
“Give me the keys, I’m driving this time” He snatched it out of Atsumu’s hand then climbed into the driver’s seat.
«──────────── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ────────────»
"It's such a nice day today isn't it?" Shugo leaned back in his chair, placing his hands behind his head. The cabana tent serves as a good shade from the afternoon sun.
Adriah removes one of the earbuds from his ear, hands still moving across his notebook as he writes his notes from his Japanese lessons "It is, the sun feels really good"
They were now in the backyard enjoying the rest of the day besides the pool, Hinata and Bokuto were already playing in the water doing some diving tricks they saw on YouTube. (Y/n) and Atsumu were on the other side, the girl dying the setter’s hair as his roots were starting to show up, meanwhile Sakusa was still inside, probably finishing up on his cleaning.
“Wish days like these would last” Inunaki leaned down, opening the cooler beside his feet, grabbing three bottles of beer and giving it to the two. Opening the packet of chips resting on the table as they munch on some snacks, listening to the song they had put on the speaker to play.
"Kiyoomi, what have you got there?" Adriah asks as the germaphobe walks towards the garbage bags. Masked on his face, his hands covered with plastic gloves, holding what seems to be a ziplock bag filled with some sort of articles of clothing.
"Miya's dirty underwear" he swiftly answered, opening one of the bags and immediately tossing the ziplock bag inside and closing it again "He left it lying around in the bathroom again so I'm throwing it away"
He walks back into the house, probably to resume his cleaning escapades as the three older men could only watch his retreating figure, speechless.
"Should we tell Atsumu?" Adriah took a worried glance towards the piled garbage bag, eyebrows furrow in concern, before looking at the two again.
Inunaki waves his hand, biting on a potato chip "Nah, he'll find out soon once he realizes he's missing a few pair"
So they just continued whatever they were doing, Hinata and Bokuto's shouts and laughter echoing throughout the open space. A cool wind blew past them, ruffling the leaves of the trees planted near the fence as the flowers swayed along with it.
"Bokuto grab a drink here" the pepper haired male pauses his game with Hinata as he climbs out of the pool, water dripping from his body as he crouches in front of the cooler.
"Do you have soda Meian-san?" He rummaged through the multiple bottles and cans of alcohol, pushing the blocks of ice to the side before his eyes landed on the familiar green and black color scheme of a mountain dew can.
He took the can, and three more bottles before opening them and walking to where Hinata was now sitting at the edge on Atsumu and (Y/n)'s side of the pool, giving (Y/n) the soda and the two other bottles to Atsumu and Hinata.
“I’m still bothered about Atsumu’s underwear” Adriah once again turned around in his chair, eyes trained on the garbage bag, waiting for the time it gets to be picked up. “We could-“
A loud honking sound was heard from the other side of the fence as you stopped what you were doing. "The garbage truck is here" jogging to where the bags were resting. Bokuto and Hinata follow after her. Helping the girl carry them out, with their setter's underwear lying amongst the trash in one of the bags, and Atsumu, who was none the wiser, happily held the back gate open as the three walked out and gave it to the garbage man.
They shared a look, as if they had just indirectly participated in a crime, as the garbage truck drives away towards the other houses in the neighborhood.
“Let’s just hope Atsumu still have some spare left”
Sakusa who have already finished cleaning walk towards their area. Already changed into a pair of shorts, a t-shirt and a pair of flip-flops with a book tuck under his arms.
"You want a drink Kiyoomi?"
"No, thank you" Sakusa answered, before situating himself on the lounge chair and opening his book. It was rare for Sakusa himself to willingly join everyone, he's usually not into gathering or bonding that much, so the team must have reached a new level of personal hygiene for the Sakusa Kiyoomi to hang out with them.
It's probably the result of (Y/n) constantly reminding them to wash their hands with alcohol and hand sanitizers, telling them to wear face masks when they're out travelling. Lecturing them how pollution and their constant exposure to sweat and social interactions with other people can lead to a disease. When you had said that, they thought you were going to evolve into Sakusa 2.0 but remembered that you were a university graduate with a degree in sports science so they can’t really argue with that one.
“Maybe I should dye my hair as well, what do you guys think?” Shugo started as the two looked at him questioningly, watching as the captain inspected his hair through his phone’s front camera, running his hand through it as he tugs at the end.
Inunaki snorts, slumping on his chair “Oh please, you’re already old”
“I’m not old! I’m only 29”
The libero deadpanned at him “You’re literally one birthday away into turning 30”
Adriah just laughs, closing his notebook and looking at his captain “What color do you have in mind?”
“Blond looks cool” Shugo shrugs his shoulders, watching as you apply the last remaining dye on Atsumu’s hair.
Inunaki groaned “Oh god no, you’ll look like an old man trying to be hip”
“I told you, I’m not old!”
“Oh yeah? Because that gray hair says otherwise”
“What?”
Inunaki and Adriah pointed at the front part of his hair, as he held up his phone to see a strand of gray hair sticking out among his dark locks.
“What the fuck”
“Congratulations captain, that is a milestone” Adriah patted him on the back laughing.
Shugo stared at it in disbelief, lifting a hand and wrapping it on his finger then tugging.
"Don't pull it out, did you not learn from your elders?" Inunaki scolded him, slapping his hand away.
"Learn what?"
"If you pluck it out, they'll spread faster. Just let it be, it's not even that noticeable"
Shugo looked at it again then ruffled his hair to see if it could be hidden within the rest, and was satisfied when he saw it could be covered.
Silence filled them again, munching on their chips and drinking when Atsumu's booming voice erupted from the depths of the huge house.
“Where the heck are all my underwear?!”

Three’s A Lucky Number
Pairing: Bucky x Female!Reader
Summary: You’ve sabotaged Bucky’s dates three times, but what happens when the super soldier finally confronts you about it?
Requested by @hailmary-yramliah -  Hey! So I love the fic Hungry Heart and wanted to request again since you're an amazing writer! XD Could you do a BuckyxReader where the reader is jealous of Bucky's date because she has a crush on him and he's oblivious? Maybe he finds out when the reader sabotages his date and he confronts her? Or you could go a whole different route hehe thanks in advance! ❤️
Warnings: Language, sex toy play (at the end), implied smut, a smidgen of confrontation in a confined space. If I’ve missed anything, please let me know!
Word Count: 2,220 (oopsies)
Authors Notes: This was requested by the lovely @hailmary-yramliah and I’m sorry because I got so carried away with it but it just wrote itself? Hehe! Hope you enjoy reading :)
Tumblr media
If looks could kill, the blonde-haired bitch Bucky invited over would certainly be dead by now. You were sat next to Steve when Bucky walked in with her hanging off his arm as they sat on the opposite couch. Truthfully, you didn’t understand why she was here and if you were honest, you didn’t want her here. His date had spent the entire day at the compound, mingling with the others and trying to fit herself in and they had reservations for dinner in an hour at some fancy top restaurant. You hated it and you knew jealousy was an ugly look, but at this point, you couldn’t care less. “Oh, is this Chloe?” You smirked pointing to the lady. Bucky’s eyebrows creased as he tried to figure out what you were up to.
“Y/N, what are you doing?” Bucky seethed, giving you a warning look which you blatantly ignored.
“Who is Chloe?” The dragon with the voice whispered, her hand grazing his thigh and it was making your blood boil.
“Some girl he brought here last night to fuck. No big deal.” You shrugged nonchalantly, earning a warning nudge from Steve.
“Y/N, Come on.”
“It’s true and then the night before that he brought home that… uhhh what’s her name…” You clicked your fingers and smirked as you continued. “Fiona from statistics!”
“Y/N!” Bucky warned. Your eyes flicked over to hers and grinned. She was shifting uncomfortably in her seat and scoots away from Bucky, something he easily notices. “I’m so sorry Jess. I don’t know what her problem is.” Bucky scoffed, interlacing his fingers with hers. A lump formed in your throat at their hands, your anger and frustration building up.
You harboured a crush on the soldier pretty much since the day you arrived in the tower and officially became an Avenger. But you knew he was out of your league but it didn’t stop you from trying. Bucky had reservations for the type of women he dated, the same type that was sat opposite you right now biting her lip like the seductive horny bitch she is.
And sometimes you felt really angry towards Bucky because that bastard was so oblivious to your attempts. You even told him he looked like sex on legs when he strolled through the kitchen in his sweats and that tattered old henley of his. His hair dishevelled and sticking up so high you could probably pick up a clear WiFi connection. His response? He just told you to be quiet. It broke your heart every time, your crush was turning into feelings and you wanted nothing more than to protect him from all the other single women in the world. You wanted him to be yours, not hers.
You watch as he whispered something in her ear. A blush forming on her cheeks as she twirled her curly hair around her finger. A loud pitched laugh invaded your ears. Anger boiled up when you saw the blonde-haired bitch throwing her head back, Bucky eyeballing her exposed throat.
Bucky was driving you crazy and he wasn’t even aware of what he was doing.
“Fuck sake.” You cursed with an eye-roll. Though your eyes widened when you realised you just said that out loud, but at least the bitch stopped laughing.
“What’s wrong, Y/N?” Tony smirked when he sauntered in the room adjusting his bracelet. Tony was probably one of the few who knew of your love for the soldier. It was hard to deny it when he found your journal full of desires and inner feelings for Mr Barnes. You made the mistake of writing a dream you had in the journal, a dream where you became Bucky’s wife and bearing his children. Tony hasn’t stopped bringing that up ever since and you hoped he wouldn’t now. “Is your husband annoying you?” He cackled.
Fuck
“Don’t encourage her Tony.” Steve interfered.
Wait, did Steve know about it too?
“Y/N, come with me please,” Steve ordered, walking into the kitchen and pouring a couple of glasses of wine.
“Please don’t lecture me, Steve.” You sighed.
“Was those lies really necessary? You know about Bucky’s past Y/N. You should be happy for him so why on earth are you trying to sabotage his third date this week?” He demanded in his ‘Captain’ voice.
It was true, you knew Bucky wasn’t actually sleeping with anyone because he wasn’t that type of man. But when he brings different girls to the compound, you knew it was only a matter of time before he took a dip in their manhole.
I’d be happy with him. God, if only you knew Steve.
“Now please take this glass of wine to Jess and apologise. It’s not a request.”
“Fine.” You mumbled, taking the glass from his hand and reluctantly going over to them. Bucky watched you with careful eyes and as you neared Jess, you pretended to trip over your feet, sending the full glass of wine down her white dress.
“Oops.” You shrugged with a grin as she desperately patted down her dress.
“Oh my GOD! BUCKY! Your friend is a fucking lunatic!” She screamed and Bucky growled and you took it as your cue to leave the room. Only to have a large metal hand wrap around your wrist and march you both out of the room.
You were stumbling hopelessly behind Bucky towards the elevator, his fast walk pace was impossible for you to keep up with.
“Buck! Slow down!” You hissed as his grip tightened. Bucky repeatedly pressed the elevator button and more-or-less threw you inside once the doors eventually opened, you backed away from him when he stood in front of the buttons, again repeatedly punching his floor number.
“FRIDAY, shut the fucking doors!” Bucky snarled, clenching his hands into fists and breathing heavily.
You stood there on the other side of the elevator nursing your bruising and sore wrist as Bucky stared straight ahead with his arms folded over his large chest. He almost looked identical to a dragon, minus the smoke flailing out from his nostrils and the tips of his ear turning a bright red. You knew you were gonna be in for it just by the thunderous look on his face.
The elevator ride to his floor was intense, to say the least. The quiet hum of the elevator, the heavy breathing and the tension surrounding you was so thick it was scary, almost like a severe gas leak, you’d just need one little naked flame to make an explosion. You almost couldn’t stand it.
You turned to face Bucky and sighed. “Buck, I’m really sor-” you flinched when his large hand suddenly moved towards the big red STOP letters above the numbers and he punched it. The elevator came to a halt and now you didn’t know what to expect.
Bucky faced you, then stalked slowly towards you, prompting you to take a step back until your back was flushed against the wall.
“Why are you sorry, Y/N? What did I ever do to make you hate me so much that you took it upon yourself to ruin any chance of happiness?” Bucky seethed, his steps not faltering. “I want to know, what did I do? Did I hurt you? Did I upset you? WHAT DID I DO?!” He growled and your eyes screwed shut, your body tensing from his tone. His flesh fingers gently held your chin. “Look at me, Y/N.” Your eyes opened, his anger replaced by confusion. “Please tell me what I did.”
You felt guilty and you knew Bucky could see the guilt whirling around in your irises. “Nothing,” you whispered under your breath with a shake of your head. “I’m sorry.”
“I don’t believe you, Y/N. Didn’t you once have a dream about me? About being my wife and having my beautiful children?” The corners of his lips lifted into a sly smirk. Your eyes widened to the size of planets.
“How did you KNOW about that?!” You cringed.
“I may or may not have stumbled across your little journal. Mrs Barnes.” He chuckled, but not in a tormenting way. Bucky wasn’t teasing you, he was just actually quite flattered. “Why did you keep your feelings from me for so long huh? We could have been married and having our babies right about now.” He smirked. “Tell me doll, did you think about us making those babies, hmm?”
And really, you wished for Hell at this point to just open up and take you. This was a nightmare, the one person who definitely wasn’t supposed to read that journal, did. And you had an intuition that Tony may have had something to do with it.
Bucky dipped his head downwards. His face was so close to yours that you could feel his breath fanning against your lips.
“I’m so embarrassed right now.” You mumbled
“I’m actually really flattered but I wished you would have told me sooner because I have been going out of my mind over my feelings for you.” His usual ocean blue eyes are a darker shade. You can feel his heartbeat under the palm of your hand. “Do you still want me?” He asked and your eyes are drawn to his plump pink lips. With no words spoken, your hands wrapped around his neck and crashed his lips to yours in a heated passion. Bucky’s hands slithered down to your waist and behind your thighs, giving them a gentle but firm pinch silently asking you to jump. Your legs wrapped around his waist as your tongues and teeth clashed against one another.
“FRIDAY, my room!” Bucky panted against your lips. His hard member feeling so constricted in his pants.
“Yes, Sergeant Barnes,” FRIDAY responded and the elevator started moving once again.
Once the doors to Bucky’s floor opened. He carried you down the hall, your lips attacking his neck on the way. Bucky kicked the door open with his heavy combat boot and stumbled inside, kicking it shut harder than necessary. Bucky stumbled over to the bed and threw you down. You giggled when you bounced and saw the hungry look in his eyes.
“FRIDAY, lock my door and alert the team that Y/N and I are busy for a couple of days.” He ordered and the AI beeped in acknowledgement.
“Of course, Sergeant Barnes.” The AI responded. Leaving you and Bucky in total silence once again.
“Now then.” Bucky taunted, removing his Henley and kicking his boots off. “I believe a certain someone sabotaged not one, not two but three of my dates.” He tutted with a shake of his head.
You brought a finger up to your lips and pleaded with doe eyes. Knowing full well it wasn’t going to help you in this situation.
“Three dates. Three possible relationships ruined. I think you need three different kinds of punishment, doll.” He smirked, pulling a few items out from his bedside table drawers. Your eyes widened when you realised they were, in fact, sex toys. And you didn’t entertain the idea of those being used on you when they could have been used for the other women in this very room.
“Buck- no I don-”
Just as though Bucky can read you like a book, he interrupts. “They’re brand new, doll. See? Still in the packaging. I haven’t even slept with anyone.” He reassured. “But you already knew that. So tell me, do you want this Y/N? Do you want me?” He asks for a second time.
“I do.” You answer with a nod.
“Ah, preparing for our big day huh?” He chuckled, tearing the plastic off with a simple flick of his wrist, inserting the batteries to the rabbit. Bucky presses the buttons to make sure it’s working and a wide Cheshire cat grin grows. “Perfect.” He throws it down on the bed and his fingers work on the button of your jeans and zipper and swiftly pulling the tight material along with your soaked underwear down your legs and throwing them somewhere across the room.
Bucky lubes the shaft of the vibrator with a generous amount so you don’t feel any pulling. He grins as he gently pushed the plastic toy inside. The rabbit ears snugged against your clit as Bucky works through the first vibration. He grins, laying down on his stomach with his knee slightly bent, working through the different vibration sensations, sending you into a whole new dimension of pleasure. And if that wasn’t enough, he pressed the rotary button so the shaft wiggled around inside of you, occasionally touching your G-spot.
Bucky set the vibration on the highest setting and your toes curled into his comforter as you neared your orgasm. And you were almost there when he suddenly shut the rabbit off completely.
“Bucky!” You whined, which earned you an eye roll as he disregarded the toy. His breath hitched when your juices ran freely from your entrance. Bucky pulled you up to your feet and he sat himself down on the edge of the bed. He motioned to his lap and you went to straddle him but he shook his head.
“Lay across my lap.” He ordered and you complied. “Second punishment, I hope you’re ready, Y/N. You’re in for a long few days.”

WHAT YOUR FAVORITE FNaF SHIP SAYS ABOUT YOU[Human Edition]
This is all meant to be good and fun, don’t take any of these as a personal attack on you XD Sticking with humanXhuman for now because there’s too many animatronics to ship JBSDJKFBDSKJBFSK
Mike Schmidt X Phone Guy[Michaelphone]: You’ve been in the fandom since day 1. There were only 2 humans at the time and hey you had to ship SOMETHING. You likely enjoy ships where one party is very protective over the other. You either love the major character death trope or you have at least one AU where PG doesn’t die
Mike Schmidt X Jeremy Fitzgerald[Jeremike]: What can you say? You love the classic ProtagXProtag dynamic. If your Mike or Jeremy is the 87 victim, you also go feral over hurt/comfort
MikeXFritz, JeremyXFritz, and/or PGxFritz: You don’t CARE if Fritz Smith only showed up for one night, he deserves love too DAMMIT
Jeremy Fitzgerald X Phone Guy: Same as MikeXPG but with extra hurt/comfort, ESPECIALLY if Jer or PG is your 87 victim
Phone Guy x Purple Guy[PurplePhone]: If you’re still in the fandom, you most likely ship Willry. You were probably a Vincent fan at some point in your life. Same as the Willry stats, but with young twinks instead of old men
Purple Guy x Jeremy Fitzgerald: You were totally a Rebornica fan at some point. You’re very similar to the PurplePhone shippers, just with (a probably more submissive) Jeremy instead of PG
Phone Guy x Phone Dude: You have a simple shipper brain. You see two characters in a similar profession, your brain goes “SHIP”. You’re also possibly a furry
Phone Dude x FNaF3 Guard: You’re feral over friends-to-lovers tropes, and if you’re alloromantic, have likely gotten a crush on at least one of your friends in your life. You WOULD drop everything for your friends
William Afton x Henry Emily[Willry]: If you were in the fandom early on, you most likely shipped PurplePhone. If you ship Willry, there’s a 59% chance you go feral over the classic friends-to-enemies-to-lovers trope, a 39% chance that you have at least one AU where neither of them do awful things and just live as happy healthy dads and no one dies, aaaand a 2% chance you’re one of those people who looks at abusive content where one party is clearly miserable and goes “that’s hot”
Henry Emily x Clay Burke[Clayry]: You just want Henry and/or Clay to be happy, and who can blame you. Bonus points for DadXDad dynamic. You also probably ignore that both of these characters are pretty morally gray rather than pure-good-aligned in favor of the ship
William Afton X Charlie Emily: Who... Who hurt you? Same dynamic as Willry but change the stats to 49% you go feral over enemies-to-lovers trope, 49% you think abusive dynamics are hot, and 2% you’re attempting to put Will through a redemption arc. You BETTER be making Charlie 18+ or ELSE
Charlie Emily x Elizabeth Afton[Charlizabeth]: You most likely have at least one AU where neither of them die and grow up to be happy and healthy. You also love childhood-friends-to-lovers tropes and just want them to be happy and really, who could blame you?
Charlie Emily X John: You also enjoy childhood-friends-to-lovers tropes, but with that extra perk of following canon. You’re probably a John stan
John X Carlton Burke: You’re gay
Charlie Emily X Jessica: You’re gay
Michael Afton X Charlie Emily: same as CharlieXElizabeth, but M/F instead of F/F. You just want them to be happy and recover from the traumas their fathers started, and really, who could blame you?
Michael AftonXPG, MichaelXJeremy and/or MichaelXFritz: Same as the ships with Mike Schmidt, but EXTRA angst and hurt/comfort, ESPECIALLY if your Michael is the crying child, fnaf4 older brother, and/or eggs benedict. Bonus points if Michael is your 83 victim and PG/Jer/Fritz is your 87 victim.
Vanny/Nessie X Luis: You go feral over a classic himbo
Vanny X William Afton[Vanilliam]: There is an 85% chance you go feral over VillainXVillain ships, and a 15% chance you look at abusive content where one party is clearly miserable and go “that’s hot”. You also might still be on the bandwagon of “hey what if Vanny was a crazy William fangirl” and tbh I dont blame you
Vanny X Tape Girl: You saw two female characters and your wlw brain went “SHIP” and really, who could blame you?
Vanny X SB-Guard: You not only go feral over protagXvillain dynamics, but you also saw two female characters and your wlw brain went “SHIP” and really, who could blame you?
William Afton X Michael Afton[Aftoncest]: WHO HURT YOU??? You either really need to speak to a therapist and/or really need to never have children
Any ships with characters from the FazFright series: Honestly I’m just proud you made it through those books with enjoy enjoyment to ship any characters, way to go buddy!
Any OCxCanon or Self-Ships: Bro... I feel you.

Amelia gets into dancing, and she really loves and enjoys doing it. Her parents and sister are supportive, and they watch her performances (she's with a group) every time. Then in the middle of one performance, Amelia dislocates her shoulder but just keeps going, simply choosing to fold her arm w/ a dislocated shoulder behind her back because she doesn't want to ruin her group's performance. Dr. Kirkland is Not Happy and threatens to make her dancing stop if she keeps on being that reckless :)
Here you go, anon! I love a furious, nervous-wreck Dr. Kirkland. xD
Taking One for the Team
Word Count: 1099
"Amelia's team is next!" Francis informs them excitedly, getting his video camera ready. It's dance competition night, and he absolutely loves being able to cheer his daughter on. While he and Arthur were a bit hesitant at first to sign Amelia up for professional dance lessons, she has proven to them time and time again that she is fully committed. And well, it would be cruel of them not to support her.
"She's going to look so beautiful in her leotard," Madeline says, just as excited if not more so. "Her team has a good chance of winning first-place tonight! This is their best routine."
Arthur nods his head along with the two of them but isn't nearly as ecstatic. He's seen the acrobatics involved in this particular dance routine that Amelia is about to perform in her group, and it worries him. He doesn't understand why the dance instructor couldn't come up with something more standard and simple. Do the girls really need to be jumping in the air and doing somersaults to score points?
To be honest, Arthur always feels anxious when he watches Amelia dance. Plenty of things could go wrong, and while he is proud of her for pursuing something she genuinely loves, he doesn't think he'll ever stop worrying about her.
The lights are turned down, the crowd starts to clap, and Amelia's group struts out onto the stage. Arthur purses his lips and grips the armrest of his seat with one hand and grabs Francis's hand in the other.
"Happiness hit her like a train on a track," the song begins.
Amelia twirls around in synchronization with the team, a beaming grin on her rosy face.
"Run fast for your mother run fast for your fatherRun for your children for your sisters and brothersLeave all your love and your longing behind youCan't carry it with you if you want to survive..."
Amelia does a backflip, and Arthur squeezes Francis's hand as hard as he dares until he hears Amelia's feet safely hit the ground.
Thank God.
She goes straight into a cartwheel afterward, followed by a handstand, and to the untrained eye, she does a perfect job, but Amelia is HIS daughter, and he knows her tricks well. Directly after the cartwheel, he notices her flinch, and the grin on her face wavers somewhat. When she gets out of the handstand, she tucks her left arm behind her back and continues to dance as though all is well.
"She's hurt," Arthur urgently whispers, turning toward Francis and Madeline with a stricken expression.
"Shhh. What are you talking about? She's dancing just fine."
"She's hurt," Arthur insists, and he starts bouncing his leg up and down restlessly. Should he go up on the stage and stop her? Why is she still dancing? Has she lost her mind?
"The dog days are overThe dog days are doneThe horses are comingSo you better run."
The music finally stops after what feels like an eternity, and after the girls give a bow and start walking offstage, Arthur springs up to his feet and rushes after them. Francis shouts at him to calm down and stop, but he doesn't pay him any mind. Arthur knows what he saw, and he's not crazy.
He invites himself backstage, pushing his way past a security guard who asks him who he is and what on earth he's doing.
"Amelia!" he shouts, running up to her, and, unsurprisingly, she's holding her shoulder and crying. Her dance instructor is standing beside her, trying to figure out what's wrong.
"My shoulder hurts r-real bad," she sobs, and when she sees Arthur, she immediately goes over to him. "I d-didn't want to let the team down!"
"Sir, you're not allowed to come back here without--!"
Arthur takes Amelia to the group's dressing room, ignoring the guard who is continuing to pursue him, and has her lie down on a couch. She sobs the entire time and starts writhing, clearly in immense pain.
"We'll fix it, love," Arthur tries to soothe her, and when he turns around, he sees he has an entire party of onlookers staring at them. "Can someone find some ice, please?"
The dance instructor nods and hurries off.
"Shhh, I know it hurts, poppet. I'm going to take a look at it, okay?" he turns to his audience again and says, "Can we have some privacy, please?"
The other girls reluctantly scatter, whispering to themselves and theorizing about how bad the damage might be while Arthur just sighs and directs all of his focus on Amelia. When he's certain they're alone, he very gingerly helps her out of her leotard and places a cold hand on her inflamed shoulder, assessing the joint.
"Don't touch it!" Amelia begs, and more tears stream from her eyes.
"All right, love. I'm sorry...Can you move it at all?"
"No, it hurts too much," Amelia hiccups.
Arthur pets her hair softly, clicks his tongue, and says, "It sounds and looks like you dislocated your shoulder, darling. I'll call your papa to bring the car up front, and we'll take you to the emergency room."
"Can't you just fix it?"
"Not without you getting an x-ray and sedative first. You should have stopped dancing as soon as you realized you had injured yourself. Continuing to dance might have made it worse!" Arthur scolds her, keeping his voice low. "It was very reckless!"
"But my team..."
"Your health and safety are more important than some silly competition. There will be other competitions...I don't know how much more of this my old heart can take, you know. You gave me quite a fright today, and I'm tempted to never let you dance again."
"Dad!"
"Just promise me you'll be more careful next time."
"...Okay, I promise."
"Pinkie promise and cross your heart?"
Amelia nods, shakes Arthur's pinkie finger, and traces a cross over her heart with her healthy arm.
"Good. I'll call Papa. Just hold still and hang in there for a little longer, okay? It'll be all better soon."
"We better have won first place."
------------------------------------------
Four hours later, Amelia leaves the emergency room with her arm in a sling, no longer in any pain. She gets strict instructions from the orthopedic surgeon to avoid dancing for 12 weeks, which isn't the news she wanted to hear.
That said, Madeline lets her know that her team did, in fact, win first place, and presents her with a gold medal.
So worth it, Amelia thinks, careful not to look too victorious around Dad.

Miraculous Commentary 3x3(12) ChristMaster
After far too much drama, it is time to come back to this wonderful tv show. Now let's see how this fucks up my fanfic canon. 😃
 Spoilers below
I feel Marinette on a personal level. But this kids too young to be going through the “I’m a big kid’ phase. That’s usually when you hit 11. I can tell you that from experience. I still live with someone who’s still going through the phase… On boys… there’s no deadline. Some still behave as children even though they are forty.
Mine is still 16 so, fingers crossed.
To be fair to the kid, the kid looks nine, so children’s show shouldn’t be the content for him-… *remembers she’s twenty-one, almost twenty-two, watching a children’s show*… ……..
Kid needs to FUCKING DIE!
I know! I know what kind of shitty piece of crap this kid is now! He’s a spoiled brat who gives no crap about anyone but himself! I know his parents too! Had nothing/everything when they were kids and thus they want their kid to have everything! Never said no to him. Was never spanked. Was never roughly grabbed by the arm and whispered yelled at in public by your mom threatening to send you back to the place you came from, she gave you life, she can take it back!
If theirs one thing this CHILDREN’s show needs to do right now is teach this piece of crap a FUCKING LESSON! THIS IS MOTHERFUCKING P E R S O N A L NOW!
No respect of privacy and demands to be shown/given things that aren’t his and he shouldn’t see? Drop him off the Eiffel Tower, teach him how fear tastes like! If not this kid will be that man who demands women date him because ‘he’s a nice guy’. Also that you sleep with him because you are dating/ he bought you many drinks. He’s gonna be the man who demands but never does anything to earn it.
Nino’s parents’ are dead to me.
I’m so sad.
Nino’s parent only had one good fruit.
I was actually praying this wasn’t Nino’s brother… How can Nino be so intolerant to Chloe, when Nino’s little brother is Tiny Male Chloe?
One. Mari is crazy. But also… smart. She’s ready for the next 35 years…. Adrien will be 50? Damn.
Two. Can I skip the entire dialogue with the kid? I can’t stand him. I know too many kids like this and I want to stab them just as much as I want to stab this one.
Entitled. Demanding. Why does this one have such good hair? And he’s a redhead?
I’m ignoring the plot like I did with Chameleon. I just can’t.
Listen, having a witch deliver my presents sounds awesome!
YO, GET YO HANDS OFF OF HER LEGS! DISRESPECTFUL, NON CONSENT! ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT!
Adrien. Adrien is the best-behaved kid in the whole world. And sometimes Marinette.
Definitely not this piece of shit.
Also, why is Marinette babysitting him? Why not Alya?
THOSE TWO WERE FUCKING WHILE MARINETTE WAS SUFFERING!
…. I. HATE. HIM.
You can’t be all like “I’m a big kid!’ and then fucking cry and confuse me about your age THREE MINUTES LATER! ITS ONLY BEEN THREE MINUTES! Now I don’t know if he’s 9 or 5. But if he’s five he’s pretty good at conversational speech.
Chris. I have an ex-friend called Criss. He got off on making me feel like I was worth nothing, and laughed when he made me cry. His opinion was always a fact. And everyone else was stupid. And after my last breakup, he told me I was never gonna get anyone better than that ex who appeared to had been eyeing another girl while he was dating me. Even without that last part, no friend, NO PERSON should ever tell you that you are never gonna do better than your ex. He was not a God for there to be no one on a higher standard than him. Fuck Chris’ and Criss’(multiples. Find me a good one. The Avengers or dc don’t count.)
WHY DON’T YOU LOCK THE TRUNK?
I was right. 50
Oh, that was a nice one. I laughed out loud. “How long was I asleep?”
Is this Toy Story 4?
Criss is so far the only bad thing of this episode because so far the comedy has been better than others. I’m legit laughing and smiling at Tikki pulling Mari’s hair being all like ‘Not so fast, bitch! You made this mess, clean it up!”
Nice. Paris should do that every Christmas.
This is an Akuma that is entitled. I need Criss to be a non-important Character, please don’t force me to see this piece of shit on another episode. Please be a one-and-off.
Oh, hey Adrien, where… did you come from?
Also… why was fake Santa out?
… Right… this is a children’s show… Kids can’t know that Santa isn’t real… This.. is gonna be a tough one. *go back to child mind, go back to childmind*
Is the ice-skater supposed to be camp-gay? (if you don’t like that term, please tell me and I’ll change it to a more appropriate one, just tell what is more appropriate)
Will your husband freak out too? Or is he more reasonable? Also, get your phone and video chat with your girls you asshole! Show them Santa.
Chat’s just like “Bitch, at this point I don’t even question it. Just put on the suit and get to work.”
Chat became a little self-aware of how ridiculous this story is if you look at the full picture. And is funny, but I don’t like being pointed out how stupid this story is a whole.
Cuz like Chat is like “Our enemies are powered up by evil butterflies. Not humanoid butterflies, just regular, old evil butterflies. Are you really sitting down and analyzing how much does any of this EVER make sense? Because it already doesn’t when you look at the root, why should the result make sense?”
Why does the dog have a French accent, but the Parisians don’t?
Is everyone in Paris entitled? Or stupid? Rules are rules. YOU ARE A GROWN MAN! ADULTS DON’T GET PRESENTS FROM SANTA!
CHAT. NO!!!!!!!
This Santa isn’t real. This Santa was created by Criss.
Nice. I also forgot about ice physics.
This goes from being terrible (criss) to being awesome(comedy) in a span of seconds!
That was creepy Mari, never smell a stranger’s clothes.
Is Nino a surfer now? Why did he have the Surfer's voice?
Nino: Please save the little dude, Ladybug.
Ladybug: *places her hand on his shoulder and smiles* No. He needs to be punished for being A LITTLE SHIT-
Ladybug is, not Marinette. That’s a fact.
Santa: You know this is the only gift you’ll get all year from me.
Ladybug: Yes, I know, but I’m two people, and you don’t know who’s really behind the mask, so I know that the other girl will get a present. Also, you’re not real. Also, I have parents who love me.
Kill. The. Killer.
This is the kind of kid who rips off the head of his toys. And doesn’t ever appreciate them.
I was about to say, when did the whole miraculous stealing come in?
Pop-pop? POP-POP? NOT EVEN ADRIEN GETS TO CALL HIM POPS OR DAD, AND THIS FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT CALLED HIM POP-POP?
Is… hawkmoth really replying to Ladybug? This is new.
Hawkmoth has got to be like on the bottom 90% of the list, while Gabriel is on the bottom 98% of the list.
Criss is on the bottom 99% of the list.
Chat: YOU ARE BREAKING THE RULES!
Why doesn’t Chat just Cataclysm the floor? They all fall, Ladybug rescues the unworthy, and no one captures the snowglobe.
Criss is on the bottom of the list. Last place.
Santa could have easily murdered the wrong ones.
Hawkmoth- bottom 95%.
Gabriel- bottom 99%.
She said come and get it, not ‘destroy it’.
Tumblr media
I have no words for this, just what the fuck. XD
Yeah, so glad that they 100% confirmed that the victims lose their memories afterward.
HIS WHAT? THIS FUCKER HAS A BIRTHDAY? WHAT? THAT’S GONNA BE IMPORTANT FOR THE PLOT? WHAT?
Mommy should have spanked him.
Meh, the ending was meh.
(Was Marinette’s hair darker? or was that my computer?)
--
So all together, this is actually one of my shortest commentary and not my favorite episode. But I don’t have one yet. Actually, Dark Owl is my favorite. But yeah. But I did enjoy this one a lot!
(does anyone have the list of realising dates for February?)

Perfect
ALL THE CHARACTERS BELONG TO @brueklynn I OWN NOTHING. This is like..uhhhh idk?... a 'batim' au idea? I guess? Im Not sure idk..its just that I got the idea from there and Instead of bendy its jokey, but not really exactly what happend there in batim. Plz ignore the bad portrayed scenes XD blondie is a lot OOC here. Enjoy if you only can thx.
It was a typical afternoon, the sunlit clouds drifted across a clear blue sky, fresh air filled the atmosphere swaying the palm trees gently by a breeze. David was at the recording room, a mellifluous melodic singing voice rose high, following the sweet, piping notes produced by the musical instruments around. After such a lilting, everyone toke a break, david sat on a chair, holding the lyrics for the new song in his hands. He saw a shadow approaching him, revealing his only cheerful boss. "Oh hey Mr. Blondie!! How are you in this lovely day!" "Hello david! Just checking on my young talented singer! How is the new song going?" "Its going great! Im just reading the lyrics again now!" "Thats good!...you know david...have you ever thought about how much the children love your jokey voice?" "Oh! Thats intresting...im sure everybody enjoy listening to it!" "Yea! they do....have you ever felt some...connections...to jokey?" "Connections? Mmmm well...I do feel that we both share a good love for the stage and thrilling the audience! along with the love to asssist other people and spread some optimism in the air!" "Thats beautifull!...Have you ever considered before...becoming this star that all those kids appresciate?" "That...looks pretty Mr. Blondie! But what do you mean?" His boss began to equivocally chuckle, it was low but icy, wasnt like his usual gleeful ones that gave an auditory hug, but david overlooked that, remaining unruffled till the answer. "David. Can you come with me for a while?" "Sure thing! But..what about the new song?" "Dont worry! It can be done in another time! now follow me!" They both left the recording room, the animator leading the ginger boy across the studio, while on their little trip to the unknown room they are walking to, david catched from away a sight of henry, tommy and norman talking together until a rueful rob drew near them, starting a conversation. David didnt mean to eavesdrop anyone, but their high voices did reach his ear. "Guys! Have any of you heared ANYthing lately about harriet? I cant find her anywhere! She didnt come to work and she is not at her home! I called her many times but she doesnt reply! Im really so scared..." rob vented, the three told him thag they didnt see her too. David felt sorry for the fellow worker, hoping that harriet is alright and will be back soon. He looked forward, though he only saw blondie back and his wheelchair, he could feel that he is trying to ignore something, he may have heard a little of the talking out there, maybe he feels sad too? But david was in his mind for a bit, wasnt aware of the time until he sensed that blondie stopped moving. This is when he noticed he is in an unrecognizable area he didnt see before, maybe this was a new place that got built recently?, " Here we are david!!" In front of both was a dark long way of stairs, it was only one storey up, just like one of those half open basemant stariecases. David knew not both will be able to clmib this, he was ready to push that wheelchair up, he looked at blondie concerned, whom just returned a grin. "Dont worry about me! I have my own ways for climbing those!" David didnt really get it, but he just let it go and left blondie to use to his own way, watching him in every step making sure he wont be close to any harm.
Dont ask how blondie climbed the stairs, he just did. that was a really narrow hall they were both in, in front of them a wooden door, blondie toke out his keys and opened it, only for both to be greeted by. "Finally!! Where Were ya!!" an angry wallaby yelled, looking as if he lost patience, it seems blondie was late to whatever meeting they should have done earlier, the room wasnt so small, almost looks like a little hallway with a wall at the end. The view was...tensed, it was a dark room with only a little bulb barley lighning it, orange colored light struggling to penetrate the darkness in thin thread rays. It was almost as if candles were the ones giving the slight shine here. Wallaby, paul and murphy were there, standing near the sides of the walls, everyone in a specific place, two at the right wall and one at the left one, only a mile spearting each two. the menacing aura holding david in a tightening grip, why do blondie have such a grisly decorating tatse...He wasnt sure if entering this room is a safe idea. "Guys!! I Brought Our Last Guest!!" Blondie exclaimed in a chirpy tone, closing the door behind himm Last guest? What does he mean? "Can we PLEASE Finish This Now And Go out?" "Come on paul dont be such a killjoy! Enjoy the place!" "If you are telling us to enjoy this creepy atmosphere then I had lost all my faith in you." murphy sneered, clearly not comfortable or trusty with how this 'gathering' is going to end, nobody knows the goal behind it. "Come on David! Here! This Is Your Place!! Stay Still And Dont Move Ok?" Blondie said while putting david on a specific spot on the left wall. "Sure! Wont Move A Shoe!" David obeyed, blondie looked at him, but this time, although he had his usual smile that showed his white glowed teeth spreaded on his face, his eyes had shimmers with some inexplicable spite. "Everything is set~" He whispered this under his breath while walking to one of the corners, nobody heard that one. Three of the invited four toke a look at blondie whereas he was doing something uncanny at that distant corner. David turned at the person in front of him, which was paul. "Oh! hey Mr.Paul!" But being the tedious man he is, paul didnt respone, only focusing on the book on his hand, thats why wallaby seemed as if he was gabbling to himself. The young boy then looked to his right side and saw murphy, still keeping an eye at blondie in a suspicion, despite not understanding a thing from what he was doing, nobody can just fetch someone to a room like this without being not up to something. "So Guys! Why are we here?" "I Dunno david! Mr. Blondie just went to me and told me that I gotta get here cuz he needs me for somethin, well I dont see anything! All I do is just standing on dis here spot not movin a leg!! What about ya paul?" "I dont care I just came here so he can stop nagging me." " I came here after he told me that I can be a 'star' like jokey." "Wait you gonna be a star? Ooh! Thats why we standin on a star!" "What?!" Wallaby words strongly drived murphy attention, making him watch the ground, they all noticed it now, they are standing on 'stars' that are drawn on the floor. David felt inside him a very straied premonisition feeling that was telling him to move, he didnt understand it, why would his guts tell him to move away from a single drawing on the floor? He promised his boss he will stay still there....how could a star drawing hurt anyone? Since whe do drawing harm people? But no matter how much he tries to brush off that feeling, it feels like a stiff weigh was being held on his chest, it made him feel so sick, maybe he just needs to move because his legs hurt him? Yeh yeh thats just it. The cheeky lad toke one step only out of that star shape, he tried to persuad himself its his legs aching and not because of a sixth sense, and that was really something he should be thankful for because. "Guys! I think we gonna be a stars!" "Wallaby...I dont think this star shape is used fo-" "GOODBYE MATES!!"
And with a casted spell and a flash of an eye, everybody was drowned with an unknown colorful sticky liquid that fully covered them, gluing them to the ground. Expect David, who fell down to the ground aspect with a horrible fear that rised behind his eyes from the grisly vision that immediately happend.
Blondie Stood there, watching him in enmity.
Blondie turned around, only to be so bothered by seeing the surviver. "Oh it seems I missed a shot! Im going to fix this~" The words had deserted david, the color quickly drained from his face, a cold wave embalmed him and his mouth ran dry, sweat poured down his body, Heart began to hammer against his chest, every muscle in his body shouted at him to flee. To escpae this imminent threat. He hurried to the door, using every little cell of power left to open it, but no matter how much he quickly moves the handle in fright, the door didnt open, oh yes, blondie locked it. Seeing no hope, he knocked on it so expeditiously and hardly, trying not to make his words stumbled, begging for someone outside to hear him. "HEEEEELLLP!!! HELP ME!!! PLEASE!!! ANYBODY OUT THERE?!?!? PLEASE HELP ME!!" "Come on David, why so nervous?" Blondie snickered from behind him, his voice hinting he is oncoming, his tone ringing in a sick icy way, sending chimes ringing in david ears, but he kept screaming for a rescue, he was not frightened nor afraid, he was beyond such mere nouns, he was going crazy, his boater hat fell from his head, it only reminded of how much he wants his family NOW in this profound situation, he just wanted to go back to them again, stay with his father marley at home and go to beach together or golf or car or wherever his father wants to go, staying in his parents arms was all what he desired, he would never wish anything anymore after this. He could no longer control his hands they were shaking in an odd trembling rhythm, his legs collapsed underneath him, teeth chattering in fear, He slid down the door, bringing his knees up to his chest.
"I-I-I-I-I-I D-D-DONT UNDERSTAND!!!!!!"
"You dont understand? I hated you! Im who created jokey! He was my friend since the childhood! My friend since the start!! But you! I saw every little detail I gifted him in you! You were perfect, perfect for him, more perfect than me! Now that I had a studio of my own, I wanted him to be alive! I reached my wish by the help of you all, by animating and presenting him to all the children around the world, they loved him, just like me! But lately, I didnt feel that I made this dream come true yet...how can a cartoon character offset me of a friend who always stayed by my side that I cant make real! But now I found a second chance, a second chance to revive him, to this reality. Thats it! Thats the chance! By using some souls to bring those stunning characters and that convival cartoony world I created to reality...that was always my biggest dream...and whats a better chance than to have the voice actor whom I influenced the traits for the children 'star' right at my hand~ People will love you david~"
Blondie was right, if david dyed his hair black and wore some cheeks make up, he could exactly like a real life jokey, but who would need a cheap costume when you can bring jokey himself to reality. David recalled the times when he sometimes thought uncle harry may have been a little overprotective of him. He thought his uncle needs to ease a bit, nothing so dangerous will happen for him. Now, he regret thinking this, and wants him to overprotect him forever and ever. Fear became a tangible, living force that crept over him like some hungry beast, immobilizing him and his brain, holding him a captive and took control of his entire body, Shadows and echoes play on his senses warping shapes and sounds. That outlandish substance already reached his legs, his life flashed before his eyes and he ushered his bright unearthly ones shut.
Yeb, this is the angel end.

Marriage meme: Blitzo and Stolas
WIFE / HUSBAND APPLICATION: ((were gonna ignore I'm dumb and messed these up u_u)) BLITZ AND JELLY
Name: Stolas of the ars goetia, fuck that's a mouth full and not the good kind. Christ I can't imagine saying that all the time.
Age: uhhhhh clearly still holding on to your youthful looks. He doesn't know XD
How well do we know each other?:  Hmm well I am learning more about you like your part imp cause you have imp for a mom. Okay no I'm kidding I know your not but I know Ida was more a mother then you own so I think I know you well enough and I like getting to say that.
Do you have a pet name for me?:  Eh I call you a couple of things but Jelly is my special pick for you, mostly as a joke at first but it's grown on me to call you that...Jellybean too. But I'd likely stick to babe in the open.
Do I have a pet name for you?: You seem to just enjoy calling me Blitzy for some reason, you swear you never heard my real name
Are you attracted to me?: No shit I am, could get my dick up id there wasn't attraction involved
Why do you want to marry me?:  Why do I wanna marry you uh? I'm used to anyone I let in leaving me high and dry when somethin' better comes thier way. To a point, I even sabotage relationships on my own end. Maybe it's 'cause you're clingy as hell but you make it clear you don't wanna go anywhere you just wanna be closer to me. You even went outta your way to encourage my interests like buying me that plush horse thing. Part of me wants that too another part thinks I'm crazy for even thinking of trusting someone like that again. But there's a bigger part of me that knows when I'm with you things make sense I like it, all the negative thoughts shut up cause I rather hear you over them. I don't got try hard maybe cause your easy to please but the reason is simple cause I love you and I want you to be mine. I want to put a ring on your finger wake up to you every day and deal with your feathered ass on a daily route. Have boring nights in together, stupid spats over who knows what...I just want a mundae existence with you.
Big wedding or Small wedding?: I don't have the biggest of circles so likely small on my end.
Do you see children in our future?: I have my loony I got plenty but I would like to get on good terms with your kid so i ain't still the red dick head.
For no reason at all this is the ring I think Blitz would get Jelly uwu but a purple stone

The Second Law - Chapter 6 Review Replies
Thanks to the following people for reviewing The Second Law last time: electronicpencil, Nagisa, Gabriel, hiiraeth, UltraFirelily, TwoHeartsAreBetterThan1, Rosesoftheempire, mutedtempest, anything_past_or_present, TiffanyBlue, KokoaKirkland, Longpig, dayriniandreamer, Jet_Lignite, Amanda, NickyADon, reyechan, Smallblaa, cataclysmofstars, Gyogyo, galadriel'slessprettydaughter, and silkymarillion. I’m so thankful for you all and for your ongoing support! It means a lot to hear feedback on this crazy story of mine.  Individual replies to questions/prompts:
Electronicpencil: Thanks for reviewing! I giggled so hard at your suggestion that, when Allura was talking about someone who could help Lotor, she meant Haggar? That would be both tragic and hilarious at the same time, omg. Also, I envision Haggar would be like, “…Nah, he’s just a whiny baby. He’s fine.”
Nagisa: I’m glad you enjoyed last chapter, even if it did make you cry again! And yeah, I’m totally going for a sibling-like relationship between Lotor and Pidge, who I love writing! Thanks again for your support and for the well-wishes!
Gabriel: Thanks for the well-wishes with my health! And bless you for not minding the extra hurt/comfort, haha. I do hope that, although your day wasn’t going well when you reviewed, that things are looking up for you now! To your point, I also hope to get Matt introduced to Lotor in this story somehow because can you imagine him, Lotor, and Pidge being snarky smart children together?? Anyway, thanks again!
Hiiraeth: If Space CPS doesn’t exist, then I agree it totally should exist, even if it’s just because of Haggar, haha. Lotor certainly has had his fair share of angst in this story, but I’m glad you’re enjoying his pain at the expense of the Lotura moments it affords. XD About the ghost scenes, they will continue to feed into the plot. Your question will be answered soon! Thanks again for the well-wishes on my health and for your ongoing support with my story!
UltraFirelily: Thanks, I’m doing much better! And I’m so glad you picked up on Lotor’s melodrama. You know he totally would be a drama queen about everything when he’s miserable, if his temper tantrum in the canon rift scene is any indication. XD I’m also glad you’re enjoying the video game and meme parts too! I’m trying to balance out the angst with as much humor as I can, haha. Thanks again for your ongoing reviews to this story!
TwoHeartsAreBetterThan1: I absolutely do love beating Lotor when he’s down, I’m afraid to say, haha. His character just exudes so many hurt/comfort opportunities that I can’t not take them. And yay that you enjoy Lotor!hairbun as much as I do! I’ve always thought it’d be adorable. Thanks again for your ongoing support!
Rosesoftheempire: I appreciate the well-wishes! And thank you for the high compliments on my story! I’m currently debating whether this story will stay T, or if I should move it to M per the Lotura content I anticipate in future chapters, so I can verify that at some point, they will definitely at least kiss—and maybe something more. This story is such a slow burn, though. Sorry about that wait. XD Thanks again for reviewing!
Mutedtempest: Thanks for your review and for your well-wishes! I’m glad you thought the addition of sickness was plausible, and I’m so thankful someone else out there in the ether likes sickfics. They give me life, really. Thanks again!
Anything_past_or_present: Thank you for enjoying and reviewing my story with every chapter! It means a lot to have your support! And I absolutely adore the thought of Lotor and Pidge having a sibling relationship, so you’ll likely see that trope coming up again, haha. I’m still working for how to get Kaltenecker into the story, but I promise she will show up soon! Thanks again!
TiffanyBlue: Oh my goodness, I LOVE iced animal crackers. They were one of my favorite desserts as a child, and I still think on them fondly, even if I’m trying to eat healthier, haha. And thanks for your well-wishes! All this bed rest has left me a little stir-crazy, so writing has been a good distraction. Thanks again for your ongoing support!
KokoaKirkland: I think to really like hurt/comfort, you sort of have to be a bit masochistic? Because you feel that character’s pain to some extent, but then you’re rewarded with fluffy things in the end, which I think makes it worth it. So I do hope you continue to read. I totally agree that Lotor deserves better things. Thanks again for reviewing as always!
Longpig: I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying the story! Thanks so much for your review!
Dayriniandreamer: Haha, if you’ve sold your soul to this story, then I’ve probably sold mine in the name of writing it. It’s completely hogged all my free time to write, and I don’t even care! Please do adopt Lotor—he desperately needs people who can love him better than Haggar/Honerva did! And I’m glad you like my characterization of various people. It means a lot to hear that. Thanks again for reviewing!
Jet_Lignite: You want to make my story canon? Oh my goodness, thank you, haha. I agree that the canon show did steal away what could have been an iconic and empowering character for abuse survivors. About your question—I’m really not sure what Lotor’s favorite video game would be. I’m honestly not much of a gamer myself and so will lean on your expertise on this one. I suppose off the top of my head, I would think maybe a fantasy world-building game would be of interest to him? I’ve never heard of Stardew Valley before, haha, but now I’ll have to look it up. Also, I do hope the story doesn’t make you cry enough to go through an entire box of water bottles. XD As for Romelle, this story ignores the conspiracy theory that she is a puppet of Haggar’s, although I do know several people who support that theory. For my purposes, I’d like to think she’s an innocent soul in all of this too. And about Keith…I do have a plan for him to bond with Lotor. XD He’ll show up more in future chapters. To answer your last question, my favorite chocolate bar is any that is dark chocolate with mint, but my absolute favorite dessert is a chocolate chip cookie. Thanks again for your ongoing reviews and for your well-wishes!
Amanda: I didn’t know I needed Lotor and Pidge sibling interaction until I started writing this story either, haha. It’s just something that’s grown all on its own, and omg I’m so amazed that other people care about their sibling friendship the way I do. Thank you! And yaaas, beach episode. If that doesn’t show up in Season 7, then I’ll be a bit sad, haha. I’m glad you liked the medical science angle I took in this last chapter! And to answer your question, yes, Keith does still have his space wolf. It made a brief appearance in an earlier chapter and will likely continue to be a minor background character. Thanks again for your ongoing support!
NickyADon: Thank you for the well-wishes! And good question about whether the real Lotor is more innocent than the clone of Lotor in the rift. I think this upcoming chapter might help to answer your question some—you bring up good points, though, that the imprisoned Lotor has yet to face the ramifications of rift!Lotor’s decisions. While this story is marked as a redemption arc, it certainly might have a bumpy road! Thanks again for reviewing!
Reyechan: I’m so glad you’re enjoying the extra hurt/comfort! Thanks for your review!
Smallblaa: Thank you for the well-wishes—the pain is slowly going away! And omg, if Pidge is you with your friends, then that must mean you are awesome, haha. Thanks again for your continued support of my story!
Cataclysmofstars: I appreciate your well-wishes, thank you so much! And yes, I totally agree that senselessness would be absolutely terrifying. Thank you for your high compliments and for continuing to review! (I wish we could have gotten good Lotor and Pidge interactions in the canon show too!)
Gyogyo: Thank you so much for the long and detailed review. I really appreciate the time you took to write such an analysis! And yaaas, Lotor’s illness is totally my way of trying to bring him closer to Allura faster, haha. XD I’m glad you’re enjoying the immersive details, and wow, that’s so meaningful to hear that you enjoy the story enough to re-read it. Thank you again! I look forward to seeing more of your own work on Tumblr and AO3 as well!
galadriel'slessprettydaughter: I do love me some nightmare imagery—there’s just so much potential for dark things to happen in the Voltron universe?? “Safe and warm” is, I think, one of the darker and more interesting things from all of their adversaries, and I think it has real potential to come back to haunt the canon show in some way (could it be mind control from an actual rift creature?). Thanks again for your review!
Silkymarillion: I’m excited to hear you’re loving the story so far. Thanks again for your review and support!

Uncomfortable Crossings
Author’s Note:
I had a request over half a year ago for Calex to interact with a certain goddess. It is shameful that it took me so long to write this! I hope you enjoy despite the wait!
This takes place a year after the series’ last book, Fall of the Sun. This is based off the original ending, which has—since then—mostly changed. Mostly XD So… sort of spoilers?
Book IV’s chapter one (Will: A Stroll Through the Dark) should be released in the next week or two!) In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this short story about Calex :D
Each time Calex kicked, the football slammed directly into the goal post.
Fortunately, there was no one occupying the field to see it. That’s why he preferred the field behind the Roman hypocaust. There was a car park for tourists on holiday and for the few museum staff with cars. But most locals preferred the scenic view by the lake or the fields by the ruins of the wall around the ancient Roman city of Verulamium. The hypocaust could seem a bit dull compared to the lovely sprawl around the rest of the park.
Most of the emptiness was due to the weather. The temperature reached a record high of 31 degrees with 100% humidity. For most of Calex’s mates, this was enough to turn them into jelly puddles inside their flats, but Calex used to holiday in Liberia and had spent the last year in New York. Normally, he’d drag them out, whining and acting like babies, but he wanted to be alone today.
That’s why he was utterly shocked when his ball bounced off the goal post, popped over his shoulder, then shot straight back towards the goal from behind him.
               And missed wildly.
Calex watched his ball fly into the field at least fifty meters away. Calex blinked, wondering if a professional footballer had been airlifted into the field without him hearing the helicopter and if that professional was bolluxed out of their mind.
“Oh! Sorry! Here, use my ball while I go grab that,” someone said behind him.
“Um, it’s alright—” Calex turned to see the blur go past. He doubted the girl was as fast as he was, but she was certainly fast. As she darted after the ball, he saw her beautiful locks trail behind her. Something felt off about her gait—like her steps took too long to land on the ground.
Odd, but, after learning he was a demigod, his life had been nothing but odd.
She wore a blue and white jersey, one he should recognize. The name across the back said Karagounis in what Calex quickly recognized as Greek.
               He jogged after.
Calex was in no mood to be polite or have a chat. At least she wasn’t attracted to him. The knowledge wasn’t anything self-degrading—Calex knew lots of girls fancied his looks. He was a son of Eros and knowing people’s desires came with the territory.
When she reached the ball and turned to dribble back—long dribbles with little control—Calex felt himself gasp and stagger to a stop, feeling both shallow and self-centered about the previous thought.
The woman was lovelier than anyone he had ever seen. That was a grand thing, considering his grandmother was Aphrodite and he stayed with her children, his aunts and uncles, last year. He knew lovely.
She was maybe ten years older than him, in her mid-twenties, but the age made her more brilliant, like she’d suffered and aged but managed to retain her youth and merriment.
Her hair was long and waved loosely from a mix of plaits in her ponytail. The color was indescribable. At first, he thought it was like his mate, Kally, a strawberry blonde. This was darker, a subtlest cross between red, blonde, brunette, with natural highlights and lowlights from all three. Her skin had a gorgeous glow to it, not quite UK pale, but pale with a hue that cued Calex to her ability to tan.
               Her face was perfect.
He didn’t think that with any exaggeration. It was perfect.
If Calex was at Camp Half-Blood, or by Mt. Olympus, he would have dropped right there to genuflect to a goddess. However, in the middle of St. Albans on a Tuesday, she might think it a bit odd or mental if he gave her the “all powerful” treatment in a football field, especially if she was just some poor women off the street who happened to practice beside a crazy demigod.
“Sorry. It has been a long time since I played soccer,” she said as she evened with him. Her English was perfect with the slightest hint of a Greek accent.
               “Not a problem,” Calex said.
               She smiled in relief.
He recognized that glint of relief and knew it was good he hadn’t dropped into an old fashioned grovel.
There were times he had felt insecure when he entered a room, knowing everyone’s eyes were on him, and expecting him to be perfect because his father’s DNA made him look like he should be. Most of his mates in Britain could make jokes out of it, but, in America, he was uncomfortable when someone asked if he’d been in a magazine or some obscure BBC show, or when someone would point out, “Oh… you’re African American—”
               “British, actually”
“—well, yea, but you’re black and you have light eyes.”
Something about her look told him she felt something similar, a sense of humiliation due to the inability to avoid unwanted attention.[1]
Calex swore, regardless of whether or not this woman was a goddess, that he’d treat her like a normal mortal.
“That was an alright kick, Greece,” he said, “You’re sure to nail the net next time.”
Her eyes were amber with flecks of blue and green. They were vibrant, like the rest of her. “I don’t mind failing…” She glanced at the jersey his cousin had bought for him. “Arsenal. Failing is half the reward of trying. How fulfilling would life be if you attained things instantly?”
Calex thought about how he had failed to save his mum and brother from Thanatos, how Joey had died, and what had happened to Axel, Pax, and Euna after everything they’d gone through. “Reward” was an odd little word for it. His fist shook. He remembered the anger and dreariness that he’d come out here to ignore and that her beauty had temporarily disrupted.
This woman definitely couldn’t be from around here if she was that much of an optimist. One look at Israel and you wouldn’t hear their prime minister saying, “Oooo! Sorry about that. Let’s try that again!”
“Some things you can only fail once,” he said.
His ball thumped gently into his foot.
His head was light and ached. He felt like such rubbish that he didn’t want to look at her again.
“Pass the ball with me,” she said. “We’ll make a wager. If I lose, then I’ll concede that you’re right. If I win, then you’ll show me around St. Albans.”
Calex had too many wagers in his life already, particularly ones involving a lot of death or undeath situations. While, in technical terms, his friends from Camp Half-Blood would call him a “lucky son of a respectable man since we would never say anything to upset Calex’s papi,” he wasn’t sure he wanted to bet his luck any further.
               “What’s the wager?” he asked.
“I need to get the ball from you,” she said.
Calex felt himself give a heartfelt laugh. “Not bloody likely.”
“Then you have nothing to lose,” she said. “You’re already practicing, foolishly suffering from dehydration, and determined to hit the goal post instead of the net. So you might be better off reminding someone who is rusty how it’s done.”
Calex wouldn’t admit it if asked, but he had fun. This woman—Greece as he’d taken to calling her—had a contagious laugh, had no problem giggling over her own mistakes and making him chuckle at his own, was curious about every aspect of the game, listened to him talk about Arsenal for longer than the Queen could sit at a ceremony, and would excitedly interject with stories of her own. It was like everything was an adventure to her, every experience was fun.
Calex felt like he’d lost that since he’d come back to Hertfordshire and left his friends in New York.
She’d chided him into drinking some water. Like her beauty, her vivacity had shaken him out of his angst. Something about her put him at ease and felt familiar, like the coolest aunt he’d forgotten from childhood. Enough so that, when he was dribbling to their stuff to get another sip of water, he didn’t register what she was doing when she jumped in front of him, forcing him to stop short or knock her over.
               Calex stumbled to a stop.
She turned and gave him a huge grin. “I got the ball from you.”
               “That doesn’t’ count,” he said.
“It does.” She crunched her face up playfully. The more they interacted and the more he treated her like a typical bloke off the trolley, the more she’d relaxed into this playful, excited demeanor. “It does because you want to show me around. Come along. I’ll treat you to lunch.”
They walked around the town. Calex showed her the stuff tourists usually hyped over: the Cathedral—at which she demanded they make a quick sacrifice to honor the cathedral’s god, something Calex found profoundly baffling[2]—the rest of the park, the clock tower, and some of the nurseries. He was relieved she didn’t ask to go into Verulamium’s museum, the place he felt like he knew better than his own home and whose staff he wanted to punch at that moment.
After winding through the streets full of people exhausted from the heat, they ended up in Café Rouge, a posh French restaurant that Tiwa had liked. When he stepped in, looking at the checkered red-and-clear stained windows, his stomach dropped.
When his mum was exhausted after a shift at the hospital, he remembered her coming here, sitting in the corner booth with the red velvet cloth, and ordering a tea and a chicken club croque. During summer holiday, when they weren’t at her clinic in Kakata, he would come here to meet up with her, Tom, Gretchen, and Winston when he could.
The glass paneled roof made this place look and feel like a botanical garden, too hot, too humid, and on display for the gods to watch.
Calex wished he hadn’t come here.
Their usual waitress, Amelia, immediately recognized him and gave him a shy smile. He hadn’t seen her in almost a year.
Although Calex had led them here without thinking, he turned to leave with a cough and a wave of parting.
“There’s a good table in the center,” Greece suggested. She took Calex’s arm, like he was the one escorting her, and led him over to the table. She gestured at one of the two-seaters that was in a line of empty two-seaters and Amelia nodded.
               “Um—” Calex started.
She sat down and Amelia hopped over faster than he could whisper, “I’ve been abducted by a beautiful woman, help!”
“What would you like to drink?” Amelia asked.
“Surprise me,” Greece said. She clasped her hands together, smiling at the tiny brunette. “And I mean it. Any price, any style, form mocktails to fiz. If you want, flip a coin between you and the other waitress and bring me out the favorite drink of whoever gets heads.”
Amelia paused in writing something down to blink at Greece. Normally, he guessed Amelia would think Greece mental, but Calex assumed Amelia struggled with the same problem that he was: Greece’s contagious smile, her natural confidence, and startlingly genuine excitement that made him want to trust her. Normally, such cheer would make him think she was mad and here to rob him, the restaurant, the city, and likely the country of all of her goods. But, for some inexplicable reason, Greece’s demeanor kept putting him at ease and made him feel like this was the right time and place for all things to exist.
“The usual for you then?” Amelia asked Calex.
He nodded and smiled. “Thanks, Amelia.”
She blushed. “It’s good to have you back,” she said. For a split second, Calex realized she’d thought about him without his trousers on.
He cleared his throat, something he hoped she mistook for embarrassment at the comment.
               Amelia walked away.
Greece watched their interaction with amusement. “So, is it romantic love or familial that’s the problem?” she asked, leaning forward a little.
Calex must have heard her wrong. “Excuse me?”
“Something has been bothering you all day,” she said.
They went silent for a moment when Amelia brought them their drinks and took their orders.
“Same? Surprise and usual?” Amelia asked, pointing her pen to each of them in turn.
               Both nodded.
Calex tried to ignore that Amelia was systematically undressing him in her mind. Some days, he could ignore things like that. Today, he was struggling not to “listen in” on other people’s wants.
She walked away and Calex tucked his scarf against his neck.
“You’re quite presumptuous, aren’t you?” he asked while he sipped his tomato juice. He didn’t like the drink anymore and would have rather a Hoegaarden, but he hadn’t the heart to change things up on Amelia or find out what article of clothing would come off next time in her mind cinema. He would order it when she brought the food and would hope that each of his socks counted as separate pieces of clothing in her game.
               “You’re seventeen.” Greece shrugged.
Calex frowned. He had to wonder if she knew it was his birthday or if she’d gotten a lucky guess on his age. Her question made his mind wander to what had upset him that morning.
She shrugged. “And, it’s summer break, so you’re not worried about revision for A levels or entering sixth form.”
Calex examined her wearily. Out of his new friends, only Axel and—dare he call him a friend?—Pax had known anything about his school system. Apparently the structure was similar in Belize. But was it in Greece? Was she actually from Greece?
“Who am I going to tell?” she asked, mistaking the source of his growing suspicion.
Typically, an innate sense of trust made him want to distrust people more, like they were looking to gain something. He felt a part of his heart give though. This woman gave him such an irrational sense of livelihood, of wanting to experience the world, and chat about the things he loved and scream about the things he hated, it made him lightheaded. And, had she not come by that morning, he’d have likely finished at the fields, and then locked himself in his room all day.
“There is a girl,” he found himself saying.
Greece gave him a lovely smile. “What is she like?”
“She’s…” He thought about the times Merry had publically humiliated him. “Merciless. Yea, merciless. That one is.”
Greece laughed, a fantastic sound. “And here I was, expecting ‘beautiful’ or ‘intelligent.’”
“Oh, she is. Quite good at making me laugh too.” He marveled over how well Merry could store information in her head and use it to outwit others—whether monsters or crude blokes—and, how she could make guesses about future events in Camp Half-Blood, mostly involving people’s dating lives. He pictured Merry’s dark eyes contrasted with her honey skin and the curves of her body. She looked like a Victoria Secret model with a hardy appetite, and Calex wouldn’t change a single thing about her brain or her physique. Well… except…
               “She’s quite alright,” he said.
               “And..?” Greece asked.
Calex sighed. He lifted up his drink and set it on the table. What he would change…
“She isn’t attracted to me. At all. She isn’t attracted to anyone.”
He waited for Greece to say he couldn’t know that, a completely reasonable response for someone who didn’t know he was a son of Eros and that he could tell when shy waitresses had him on their mental tele with much less clothing, much more interest in public displays of affection, and much less respect for restaurant sanitation. Instead, Greece frowned thoughtfully, waiting for him to continue.
“I’m not sure she’ll ever find any bloke physically attractive.” Calex remembered all the times she’d make flirtatious comments about people’s bodies, like empty reverberations of gossip she’d heard. She never felt it. She would just say it to make people laugh or to contribute to a conversation. And, Calex feared, to feel normal.
This is where he should stop, but the words slipped out. “She said she loves me.” He remembered how she had snuggled into his chest, calling him her sweet, sexy teddy bear. But, he couldn’t read emotional love. That was Piper’s, his aunt’s, territory. Merry’s confession had taken him by dumbfounded surprise, since those words were typically preluded by some sort of physical attraction.
“That made it worse. I want… I want an all-inclusive relationship. It wouldn’t need to be immediate. I would wait however long she wanted and we could talk through everything. But that’s assuming Merry would ever want that. What if she never wants it? Nothing says she needs to nor should she ever feel pressured if it’s not something she’s interested in…”
There was no better way for him to explain it. He knew, physically, how to properly take care of everyone he got close to. That’s why people would come to him for advice, like the time Axel had, shaking with embarrassment, asked about one of his dates with Reyna, and the time Kally had timidly asked some generic questions on how things worked when you’re copping off.[3]
Even if Calex didn’t want to know, the sense of what everyone wanted was in a neat queue, waiting for use by him or as advice for others. He knew what to do at any time to really get their engines roaring. But, he didn’t with Merry. It was a blank slate. Everyone else had a rolling instruction manual that he could access in a split second. But, he didn’t want them. He didn’t care about those instruction manuals. He wanted to show Merry how much he appreciated her in the way his godly heritage had given him the unquestionable advantage, but… he couldn’t. She was the only reason he could guess why other blokes were so nervous interacting sexually. Typically, he was full of the confidence of knowing. Not with Merry. Not when she didn’t want to get physically intimate with anyone and nothing he knew of could spike any sense of desire.
He didn’t know how to explain any of that without coming across as a total creep.
“I know that’s selfish,” he said instead. “It’s not that I wouldn’t mind waiting. If I knew, in a few years…” There was no acceptable way to end that line of dialogue with a stranger, or—really—with anyone.
“No…” Greece frowned and Calex was ready for a proper (and well earned with how much of a dodgy perv he sounded) feminist lashing. “Calex, that isn’t selfish.”
               Calex blinked. “Yes, it is.”
She laughed. “No, it isn’t. That’s a compatibility conflict. And, for someone like you, that is a serious compatibility conflict. From the way you’re talking and the way you are, I know you’re not seeking your own sexual gratification. How many times would you pleasure Merry without getting any reciprocation and even noticing or caring that you hadn’t?”
“Hundreds, if not thousands,” he said reflexively.
When he realized that those were real words that came out of his mouth, he glanced around, to make sure Amelia hadn’t heard to use that for her mental tele. Calex took a long sip of tomato juice, desperately wishing he had Merry’s power to turn it into something a bit stronger. His mind sprinted through excuses as to why he would need to leave this table in a hurry, and wondered if this woman would believe him if he said he had an appointment to slog Boris Johnson in the face.[4]
Greece, however, acted like this question was a typical Tuesday question. “Probably the same number of times Merry would help you study for an exam without ever feeling like you owed her a favor.”
Calex felt like they’d just been chatting about a meat eater repeatedly offering a vegetarian an endless chicken supply, and that Greece had brought up the time the vegetarian offered the meat eater an endless supply of slinkies. Calex wasn’t sure if Greece just had a time lapse or if she was just stark raving mad.
She confused Calex enough to make him say, “But, I don’t care about revision for my exams.”
“That’s my point. You express your love differently, in different languages, and don’t have any common communication ground, beyond the enjoyment of each other’s presence.” She sipped her sparkling drink and grinned. “Ah! Fizz la Poire! What a nice combo.”
Calex wished it would be as simple as she’d suggested. “So, you’re telling me to pull a girl by studying with her? That’s the secret to the Merry Snog: a good math textbook.”
Merry, he realized, would fancy that official title quite a bit.
Greece shook her head. “You’re missing the point. The studying is the snog to her.”
“I’m not sure I follow you.”
Greece laughed lightly. “You’re just like your father.”
Calex almost choked on his next sip of the thick juice. “Excuse me?” His suspicion came back to hit him like a power kick from Alexis Sanchez.[5]
She shook her head in pleasant amusement. “You need to consider what is important to the two of you and where you can both compromise. Can you be in a relationship where you both feel unloved because you don’t understand each other’s methods of expressing love? You both might feel more fulfilled with someone who naturally expresses their affection in a way you appreciate and understand. Then you both won’t feel guilty for expecting something that isn’t there or holding the other back. The guilt you’re feeling about wanting to spend time with Merry in a particular way and knowing she wouldn’t want that—have you considered that she feels the same guilt for a different unfulfilled want?”
“I hardly think that’s an appropriate comparison,” Calex said. He mentally toured through the various times Merry had offered to study with him, help him with his homework, or look through summer job applications. Kally, Merry’s best friend, had explained that Merry was mental over keeping a 4.0. The queasiness in Calex’s stomach told him Greece was right. Merry showed her affection to her mum and brother, Nikhil, by helping them with school and work. Had he been a total idiot? But having someone study with you when they were bored of it and having them snog you when they were bored of it were two very different things.
Greece smiled. “It’s closer than you’re allowing yourself to think. You two might be better off with someone more compatible. Couples can make it work when they don’t express love the same way or click immediately. I wasn’t enthralled with my husband when we first met, but, in no time, I want to Tartarus and back again for him.”
She touched her shoulder, her eyes glassy with a memory. They warmed back to the present. “Times are different now. You can’t start your relationship by kidnapping your princess. Back to your modern scenario, you could sit there and study with her, despite not caring about the studying at all, and she could—”
“No,” Calex said firmly, checking goddess on his internal description of this woman. “She’s… she’s offered to try. But, I can’t even kiss her when I know she’s not interested in kissing. Even if her reaction is disinterest instead of dislike, what’s the point if she’s not enjoying herself?”
“And that, ‘What’s the point?’ is how she feels about any of the ways she wants to express her emotion. That’s why I was going to say, you could push through it, but I’m not sure it would be healthy for either of you right now. Maybe later, but not now. And I certainly don’t think either of you will be able to happily live life, enjoy it, and experience it, and potentially other people, if you leave the situation in limbo.”
Calex frowned. He thought about Merry’s smile when she knew she’d cornered someone with blackmail or the way she’d tease him by bumping against him on “accident.”
“That’s not the uplifting, encouraging speech I was expecting,” he admitted.
She shrugged. “I’m not going to encourage you to do something that will hold you back from expressing yourself the way you most enjoy. And I won’t say you should do something that will prevent you from living life in a way that’s important to you. If you’re anything like your father, you’ve quite an appetite, and it would make you miserable to suppress it.”
               Calex sat there, stunned.
No one would ever say that about Winston.
Had she really—? There was no way. No one in their polite, right mind—
“Oh gods, you’re Psyche,” he said. He had to set his tomato juice down to balance himself against the table. “Oh gods. You just said that about my dad. Please don’t ever, ever, EVER refer to his appetite—or—or refer to you two—augh—shagging ever again.”
Psyche released a beautiful, heartfelt laugh. “For being a son of Eros, you’re incredibly uncomfortable with these discussions. Your sister, Hedone, is very forward about this type of thing.”
“I’m awkward and British!” Calex cried. “I’m not absolutely mental like you Greek gods!”
Maybe Calex shouldn’t have been mouthing off to a goddess, specifically not his step-mother, but this was a bit to take in.
“And—and why are you even here? Aren’t you supposed to think… rather unpleasantly of me?” All the stories he’d heard of gods meeting their step children didn’t end with fairies and sunshine and the god or goddess crying, “There’s my favorite proof of adultery!”
Her smile softened. “Calex, Eros and I have been together for thousands of years. Every couple hundred years, one of us will meet someone as remarkable as your mother. Then, we discuss it and have our agreements. It would be ridiculous for me to hate someone Eros loves so much, especially someone who has grown into an impressive young man. I’ve wanted to meet you, but this is the first birthday you really knew who you were.”
A sick taste hit his mouth. The hopelessness and dreariness of the morning threatened to overtake him again. A lot had changed since his last birthday.
“Your father is going to drop by later today,” she said. “He had to do a favor for your grandmother so she doesn’t notice the two of us here with you.”
Calex wasn’t worried about his father. Compared to other half-bloods, he saw his dad a lot. Over the last year, Eros had not been shy with gifts or advice.
That wasn’t what was unsettling Calex. “Did you know Tiwa?” he asked quietly.
Tiwa didn’t strike Calex as someone capable of being a mistress. He could imagine his mum marching up to Psyche as soon as she discovered Eros was married. And he certainly couldn’t think she would be like Mrs. Blythe, Merry’s mother who was… intimate with both Ariadne and Dionysus. Definitely filing that into Things He Never Wanted to Know.[6]
“I mostly knew of her,” Psyche said. She leaned back into her chair. The sunrays beaming through the glass ceiling hit her back; Calex’s eyes widened when he saw an array of color flowering around her chair and sweeping by her feet: wings. Butterfly wings. The Mist must have coated them before, but the brilliant colors shimmered like a stained glass frame for her hair. Like everything else about her, they were vibrant to the point of breathtaking. “We met over tea a few times. She was… fearless despite the fact that she knew I was a goddess. She wanted to make sure everyone knew exactly what was happening between the three of us. She didn’t trust Eros acting as a messenger.”
“She always liked to make sure things were done correctly,” Calex said.
Psyche laughed. “That’s a generous understatement.”
Staring at the colors of Psyche’s wings, he could picture his mum’s soft face, whether in a smile to appreciate a witty joke or a terrifying scowl to ridicule Calex for some act of stupidity. Calex swallowed. That horrible emptiness from this morning seeped into his system.
He told himself not to—that he didn’t want to talk about it. Still, the words came out of his mouth. “I used to resent going to mum’s clinic in Kakata every holiday.  I often had to spend my birthday there, with Tom and Mum, while my mates were off in Playa Del Ingles, Saint-Tropez, or some other posh beach.”
Now, Calex wished he could be there. He wished he could have woken up this morning to his great granddad poking him and his brother with a walking cane while muttering a cryptic, Liberian aphorism. Then he and Tom, whining and complaining about the heat, would escort Mum to her clinic for a day of hard labor.
Now, when it came to his mum and brother, some days were better than others. He could sometimes laugh with Winston about something Tom used to do, or how hopeless they both were in the kitchen without Tiwa around. Other days, the house was quiet and cold without the buoyant conversation about Tiwa’s nightshift or Tom’s football match. Most of the time, Gretchen ran out with her mates, and Calex and Winston were working.
               Today, Calex felt numb.
“Chiron said I could stay at Camp Half-Blood this summer, but Winston needs me here. He can barely afford the flat’s rent without Tiwa’s helping to pay. We might need to move. That’s one of the reasons I was so mad at Marie—the museum head—for forcing me to take the day off. I don’t care that it’s my birthday. They never cared about stuff like that before.”
He shrugged. “But… but this is my first birthday without my mum or brother. Gretchen won’t talk to me much. She hasn’t since… since I survived and the others didn’t.”
His little sister worried him and Winston, but he didn’t feel like there was much he could do. It felt like… felt like she blamed him for living, like it was his fault that their home had fallen apart.
Psyche didn’t say anything. She reached across the table and gently set a hand atop his. Over the last year, he’d become more accustomed to brash touching—Pax and Kally made sure to that. This was different. Something about her touch—she understood loss. Calex wondered how many lovers and children Psyche watched succumb to old age or sudden tragedy.
They sat in silence for a moment.
“Mum would scold me for dwelling on it so much. Tom would have hit me and told me I was being a twat. Especially on my birthday…” Calex laughed softly.
“Calex, you need to let yourself feel without getting mad about the feelings.” She squeezed his hand.
Calex glanced at her blue and white jersey, now shimmering into a sleeveless, short chiton, her glossy wings and hair, her sweet face and warm eyes. If she hadn’t met him at the football field, he would have kept to himself all day, with his phone off to ignore any contact with his mates. Gretchen would have stormed into the house without a word to him and Winston would have come home from work and collapsed in front of the tele without Tiwa to remind him of their birthdays.
Here, he was out of the flat, chatting with a goddess about his lunatic love prospects and his family. Insane, but much less bleak than he’d expected the day to go.
Calex didn’t know how to show his gratitude to Psyche.
The sadness in Psyche’s eyes made Calex squeeze her hand back. She raised her Fizz la Poir. “To living life in honor of those we miss,” she suggested.
He tilted his glass to hers. “I really need to get a different drink for toasting. I think Tom might be offended,” he said, taking a sip of his tomato juice.
               They smiled.
The restaurant door opened and closed. Calex didn’t look over, but could hear some female giggles.
Now that he’d mentioned changing out his drink, Calex had to wonder where Amelia went. Normally, she was—
               “There’s my favorite Teddy Bear.”
For a split second, he could see Psyche’s smile tweak with amusement. Then, the world vanished behind two perfect breasts as someone wrapped him in huge hug.
When the person withdrew, Calex found Merry beaming down at him. That green and gold, low-cut sundress wouldn’t have looked half as good on anyone other than her. Her hair was curled and Calex ached to realize this was the first time he’d seen Merry in smart dress for a party.
Glancing around Merry, he saw this was, indeed, a party. Kally gave him a huge grin and wave. She had her—and presumably Merry’s—birthday gifts under one arm. Her other arm held the unmistakable colors of her Manchester United jacket. Calex was happy the weather was too hot for her to get mugged for putting it on in the wrong town. Behind Kally, Piper and Jason entered the restaurant, glancing around the glass ceiling.
Paul, his crazy cousin, and one of their Arsenal hooligan mates stepped in after, noticed how Merry kept snug against Calex’s side and how Psyche sat across from him and gave Calex a subtle thumbs up.
“When did all of you get here?” Calex asked, baffled. He glanced at Psyche who was innocently sipping at her drink. “Did you do this?”
She shook her head. “Oh, no. I offered to get you here for lunch. That is the extent of my foreplanning.”
“This did this,” Merry said and pointed to herself. “You have a child of parties and revelry before you and you accuse someone else of orchestrating a shindig. I’m personally offended, birthday boy.”
A wave of euphoria struck Calex, and he didn’t think it was from Merry’s powers. He hadn’t seen any of them since he left America, at least a month ago. Electronics never agreed with demigods, so he struggled to properly keep in touch. Talking to his mates at home was uncomfortable. Everyone treated him different since he got back. Until Calex saw their smiling faces, he hadn’t known how much he’d missed them.
“Hi Calex!” Piper cheered. “Lacy had to pick up someone else, but she and Mitchell are looking for parking right now.”
Jason nodded. “Percy and Annabeth send their best, but they had some college-level monsters pop up.”
“We had a few ‘maybe’ responses, but the important people are here,” Kally said and punched his arm.
Out of his peripheral, he could see Amelia rush out with a pre-prepared tray of sparkling beverages. Paul and his mate, Oliver, helped her to set up some space for them.
               “The most important people, Cyclops?”
Calex, Merry, Kally, Piper, Jason, and—to Calex’s alarm—Psyche, all jumped at the couple that entered the restaurant.
For a split second, Calex dropped his hand to his pencil pouch, containing Soul Pain, his bow. After a breath, he recognized the new occupant. It was someone younger and much more annoying than the person Calex had mistook the boy for. Beside the boy was someone else that Calex thought he may never ever see again.
Pax wore a familiar burgundy button-down and dress pants. His wild raven hair was combed back into a sloppy ponytail that curled and twisted. He wore his fully loaded utility belt with poisons and serums. Two revolvers hung out of his shoulder holsters and atop suspenders that were lined with darts. He winked his golden eye at Kally.
Calex had to wonder what the Mist turned all those weapons into when Pax was on the street.
Pax held his automaton hand out to escort a young woman Calex also didn’t recognize initially.
Upon examining her, Calex could tell she wasn’t wearing real clothing. The… dress? Or sometimes body suit..? The clothing she wore trembled and altered as they walked closer. The mesh itself came from intertwining leaves, vines, and flowers. Petals fell from it as she walked, leaving a trail of colors. Her feet were bare. The only solid thing that she wore was a sickle strapped across her back with a vine. Her unkempt hair was enlaced with more beautiful flowers, ones—Calex thought—he remembered being poisonous.
Her dark gaze was turned upward so she could grin at the glass ceiling.
When she met his stare, she smiled like they’d seen each other yesterday. “Hey. Nice choice in restaurant. What’s their best meal?”
“Euna?” Kally asked, covering her mouth with one hand.
Like Calex, her fingers had dropped into her messenger bag in a reflexive search for a weapon.
“Yes, a happy Euna, that looks completely normal and you should compliment her on realizing floral was in this summer,” Pax said.
Jason opened and closed his mouth, glaring at Pax suspiciously. Everyone knew the Romans had been searching for these two. Piper tugged on Jason’s hand. “It’s nice to have everyone together for Calex’s birthday, isn’t it?” she asked.
Calex could feel the calm of Piper’s tone.
“Yep,” Merry piped in. “All here to relax and party.”
Between the two of them, the tension in Jason’s arm muscles eased. Calex and Kally released their weapons. Piper tugged Jason to the side to look at a menu.
A bee flew off one of Euna’s shoulder plants as she and Pax approached Calex. She held out a hand and a root twisted down her arm to her palm. Upon resting there, something sprouted, in fast motion, and a beautiful grey and purple flower appeared. “I made you a flower,” she said. “It will alternate blooming from mid-spring to late autumn. And, as Axel would have recommended, you can use its leaves to kill your enemies. But, for real, what is the best thing on this menu?”
She set the flower into the vase on the table. All the other plants in the vase rose up to her hand, coming to full bloom.
“Lovely,” Calex said, staring at the beautiful, deadly plant, so close to where they were going to eat. “And—um—for you? Probably the Boeuf Bourguignon.” He said, fumbling to think of the most filling thing on the menu. He was so taken aback by her appearance—someone he thought he’d never see again, he felt silly giving lunch recommendations instead of giving her a hug.
She nodded, took a table, and was immediately set upon by Paul. Kally rushed over to make sure Paul didn’t unsettle the volatile daughter of Demeter. Calex had to wonder what Paul saw when he looked at Euna—a cute Korean girl in a floral dress? Someone nearly naked with… what would he think the sickle was?
Psyche’s eyes trailed Euna’s movements, proving not everyone invited knew about everyone else that could be coming. He imagined Merry “forgetting” that she’d be inviting Euna and a goddess and—if his dad showed up—a god. At least Euna either didn’t recognize Psyche or didn’t care. From their conversations that morning, Calex could also imagine Psyche coming regardless.
Pax withdrew something from a pouch on his utility belt. “She brought you a birthday gift. I bring you bribery.”
               He handed Calex an envelope.
“The closest thing to a gift that a Pax boy can give when he doesn’t want to sleep with the receiver,” Merry said.
Pax tsked. “Merry, don’t jump to conclusions. I could have great interest in Calex.”
“Don’t even joke,” Calex hissed. He broke the seal. “I ought to open this now, oughtn’t I? In case there’s some sort of Morpheus powder?”
He expected it to be a drawing of weasels devouring him, as Pax had promised to make in the past.
               Instead, there was a check.
For a moment of stupid belief, Calex felt his jaw drop. With as much firm denial as he’d previously felt awe, he said, “This is fake.”
Pax gave him that half-grin. “Now, really, you can’t know that until it bounces and you look like an idiot at the bank.”
Calex glared. He leaned forward. Short of excusing themselves, there was no way to keep Merry and Psyche from listening, but he had to put up the illusion of privacy. Judging from their overtly feigned ignorance and they way they lunged into a seeming personal conversation for supposed strangers, he suspected they knew exactly what was in this envelope before he’d opened it.  “Pax, what dodgy thing did you do to get it and what are you getting at by pretending to offer this to me?”
“I haven’t done anything dodgy to get this,” Pax said. His fingers made a metallic clacking noise as they shuffled along his utility belt. “I was talking to your step-mom—”
“Aunt,” Psyche interrupted both their and her and Merry’s conversation. “Step-mom feels weird.”
“Auntie,” Pax corrected. “About your situation—”
Betrayal twisted Calex’s stomach. He hadn’t felt comfortable telling anyone, including Psyche, about his family’s financial situation. Now she was yapping to others? But… there was no way. He just spoke of it a few minutes ago…
“—with the whole Pax Pharmaceutical Company drugging and kidnapping you and causing you all that trauma,” Pax said flippantly.
               Calex stared. “Pardon?”
“Pax Pharmaceuticals is currently going through a rebranding, but it would really hurt our image if word got out that members of the organization had done some nasty things.”
“Wait—” Calex could never forget the horrible events Pax was referencing—a year ago when Santiago Pax kidnapped all of them, drugged he and Merry, and killed Joey Song, Euna’s sister. That wasn’t where his confusion lay. “You’re actually bribing me?” he asked. Pax had been as much a traumatized victim as the rest of them.
In the bluntest answer Pax had ever said to him, the young Mayan gave him a sly smile. “Yes. Happy Bribe Day.”
“I put my hush money into a fund for Nikhil to go to university,” Merry said cheerily. “And he thought it was for us to go to Disney.”
               “How cruel,” Psyche said.
Calex swallowed, staring at the check. “Psyche… you threatened to sue him?”
“Threatened is a strong word,” Pax said.
Psyche took a sip from her drink and gave him one of those dazzling smiles. Her wings fluttered.
Calex didn’t like the idea of owing this dodgy bloke a favor, even if the favor was silence. As he stared at the digits, he thought about how long this check would last them if Winston downsized their housing and they were careful. The money he made from his summer job could go towards plane tickets to visit his mates in America and, like how Merry was using hers, maybe go into a college fund for Gretchen. And, if they accepted it, at least then he’d know any money Gretchen made would go towards new clothing instead of rent.
“I’m thinking about using Kally’s money to take her on some surprise vacations,” Pax said.
Merry clucked her tongue. “Using hush money from a kidnapping to fund further kidnappings. Pax, you naughty one.”
“Oh!” He snapped his fingers, fishing out another envelope. “Wait—Calex, this is more important. Here is your birthday gift.”
After the first envelope’s content, Calex was worried. He tore it open to look inside, wondering if he should wait until later—
And found a depiction of a colossal weasel attacking Big Ben with what Calex could only assume was a stick-figure version of himself hanging out of the animal’s mouth.
He wanted to express to Pax how much he hated him, but couldn’t rectify that with the weird need to give the boy a hug.
Instead, Calex took something out of Axel’s old book of Etiquette in the Face of Pax and simply sighed, deciding to worry over the check later and enjoy the party.
Although the odd intermixing of groups was a right mess, Calex had a fantastic time. He enjoyed watching Paul and Oliver fawn hopelessly over Euna, Psyche, and Kally, watching Kally and Paul argue over football, and watching Psyche awkwardly dodge around Pax’s audacious humor. Poor Kally didn’t know what to do when Pax turned on his charm full blast.
Calex had to wonder what his mates would say if Eros really did show up. Others had said they could see the resemblance between the two of them. Would Paul and Oliver lose their minds to hear about Calex’s biological dad?
All that faded away though when the best birthday present possible walked into the restaurant. Calex was in mid-laugh, watching Pax snark one of the fizzy drinks up his nose when he saw Lacy and Mitchell—children of Aphrodite that he’d shared a cabin with last year—step inside. Behind them, the lanky, nervous figure of Winston came through, babbling about being late. Lastly, there were four teenage girls.
Three of them were people he hadn’t really seen much since they moved to St. Albans from their tiny flat in London when Calex was very young. One, a teenage girl with black-streaked blonde hair and punk clothing, winked at him, and he knew he would have to pretend he hadn’t seen her within the last year.
Lastly, came a beautiful girl with frizzy black hair, caramel eyes, and a deep tan. She wore punk clothing that ought to have died a decade earlier, though Calex was certain she’d gotten them from the blonde. Calex had to marvel over how the fierceness in Gretchen’s eyes reminded him of Tiwa’s.
They roamed inside as though their presence had nothing to do with the party—except that two of the girls, Liz and Emma if he remembered properly, where giggling and gasping at Calex’s presence. Gretchen always hated it when her friends got crushes on him.
On their way to a booth in the corner, the blonde nudged Gretchen’s arm and whispered to her. “Come onnn, Gretch. Your brother isn’t half as annoying as mine.”
Gretchen sighed, jammed her hands into her pockets, and glared at Calex. “Happy birthday or whatever,” she said.
Those were the first words she had said to him in weeks.
Calex knew she’d be furious if made a deal out of it.
Before he could bollocks the situation, she and her friends continued to the booth, away from the rest of them. Calex smiled after them, tuning out the noise from the other party guests. Although he still missed his mum and brother, everything felt… lighter…
When Calex brought his attention back to Pax’s antics, Psyche caught his eye and tilted her glass towards him.
Calex tilted his—now a proper pint—back towards her. She was right. He still needed to find a way to thank her, Merry, and Gretchen for making this day a brilliant one. For now, he decided he would keep true to their toasting, and live life to the fullest in honor of those he missed.
 Footnotes:
[1] Calex would CRINGE at how full of himself this makes him sound. He would like to apologize and offer Pax shirts to all.
[2] Pike’s betaediting comment: “We slaughtered an ox right quick to honor God, no big deal, a little off, I suppose, but not any weirder than anything those hooligans get to after the World Cup.”

[5] Forward for Arsenal. Ehem. Until Manchester United, Kally’s favorite team, swiped him in 2018. However, in this book series’ timeline, Alexis would have just started his Arsenal career. Can you imagine the look of horror on Calex’s face when he found out one of Arsenal’s best players was being transferred to Kally’s team?

Tumblr media
Jumin
Everyone was surprised that you didn’t get pregnant after the honeymoon.
But Jumin Han, of course, was a responsible man.
It wasn’t his body after all, and he wanted to wait for your approval. So, six months after the honeymoon when you confessed that you would like to become a mom, he didn’t wait long.
Your pregnancy wasn’t the most comfortable one.
When you were three months into your pregnancy you fell, hurting your hip pretty bad.
It was a shock for Jumin when he saw you fall in front of his eyes.
,,I‘m sorry...“ he whispered one night.
,,What for...?“ you asked him while rubbing your eyes.
,,For not being able to make you enjoy your pregnancy...“ he said.
Of course you also caught the flu.
But as if that wasn't enough, your water broke three weeks too early.
,,The umbilical cord is around the baby‘s neck...“ the doctor said to Jumin.
Luckily the doctors did their best to save his little boy.
But this was such a horrible experience that, in his opinion, one child was more than enough.
But God had another idea when you found out you were pregnant nine years later.
,,This time, I will do everything fine so that you can enjoy your pregnancy...“ the CEO smiled when you told him.
Even your little boy, who resembled Jumin a lot, tried his best to make you stay as comfortable as possible.
His little sister, nine month later, was all he wished for.
,,Look how sweet they are...“ you told Jumin five years later when you stroked your belly and observed the siblings sleeping.
,,Soon this little boy while sleep between them,“ he chuckled and lead you back to your bedroom where he made sure that you stayed warm.
Zen
,,Baby take my hand~ I want you to be my best friend 'cause you’re my Iron Man and I love you 3000~
Baby take a chance 'cause I want this to be something straight out of a Hollywood movie~
See you standing there, and nothing compares, and all I can think is ,,where is the ring?“~“ you sang while Zen stood outside, watching you dancing to the newly released song by your favourite singer.
All Zen could do was chuckle.
The two of you would have your third anniversary as a couple this year and you just waited for his proposal.
,,That’s more than a signal, Princess.“ he suddenly exclaimed and approached you.
You smiled.
Of course you tried to tell him something, but you also knew that he wanted to wait until his parents accepted him.
Two years later, you desperately sat on the edge of the toilet with a pregnancy in your trembling hands, having crazy thoughts.
His carrier was currently what he always wished for and his parents still couldn’t accept him.
,,I should leave, yeah.“ you decided while packing your stuff hastily.
,,Where to?“ he suddenly asked you, making you shriek.
A few days later he finally proposed.
,,You’re my family now...“ he whispered while stroking your belly.
Zen enjoyed being a father and he loved to see his daughter‘s smile.
,,A second child would make me super happy...“ he confessed one night. Three years later a little girl, indeed was born, and three years later, after her birth, the last baby boy was born.
,,You need to protect them, okay?“ Zen whispered at night after the little boy woke him up.
Yoosung
It was a long journey until you finally got pregnant.
Ten years after your marriage, you finally had the chance to enjoy the feeling as a mother to be.
And of course Yoosung was just as hyped as you.
,,Do you want to eat Chinese or Korean? Or maybe both?“ he asked you one day over the phone when he was on his way home.
Of course he already bought both dishes.
But your answer was a little different than he thought it would be...
,,I would like to eat Italian to be honest.“ you laughed and suddenly craved pizza and lasagna with salmon.
,,Hey, you did great today, Ajusshi. Here, have some Chinese and Korean. My wife is pregnant and wanted to eat Pizza and Lasagne instead.“ Yoosung said to a homeless man and gave him the food he just bought.
A few moments later he arrived home, three Pizza in his one hand, the Lasagne with Salmon in the other.
Yoosung wasn‘t sure if you always smiled so brightly or because it was because of the food, but whatever the reason was, in his eyes you looked so beautiful.
The birth was a quick one.
In the morning you were putting on your Make-Up.
Yoosung helped you to put on your shoes.
After a few minutes of walking you suddenly felt a strange twitch in your back.
Of course you ignored it, but as soon as you arrived at the place you were supposed to meet the RFA the twitch got so horrible that you first had to sit down.
,,Hey Mc, listen to my pregnancy joke...“ Seven laughed but stopped as soon as he saw your wide open eyes.
,,Y-Yoosung… I think your wife‘s water broke!“ he yelled in panic.
And not long afterwards he was holding his baby.
,,He‘s so handsome.“ Yoosung said and noticed immediately that you had fallen asleep.
A year later you were pregnant again and this time it was a girl.
You were currently throwing a party for your little prince and enjoyed his round smiling face.
Jaehee
It took awhile until you found someone who‘s sperm could impregnate you.
But when the time came, you were hyped.
In Jaehee‘s eyes, you were the most beautiful pregnant woman she saw.
Your smile was as bright as the sun‘s warm sunshine and your mood was always the best.
No mood swings, and no odd carvings or fears.
You just enjoyed the pregnancy.
You even kept working.
But of course Jaehee was overprotective.
You were only allowed to work while sitting down.
,,How are you feeling?“ Jaehee asked you.
The baby was due any time now.
,,I‘m well, Jaehee.“ you chuckled and made her a signal to help you up.
As soon as you stood, you however, noticed that you felt weird.
,,MC!“ Jaehee yelled when she noticed that you began to stumble.
A few minutes later the ambulance arrived and a c-section was done as quickly as possible.
Jaehee was about to go crazy.
Zen, next to her, tried to make her feel better but it was no use.
,,I don’t know what to think. I just want her to be well and to see the baby healthy...“ she whined.
Luckily, her wishes came true and shortly afterwards, the doctor told her that she could come in to see you.
,,Don’t ever do this to me again.“ she sobbed harder as soon as she saw you, sweat dripping off your front and tears rolling down.
,,Sorry not sorry...“ you laughed and looked down at your baby.
Your little boy stayed an only child but got spoiled from every possible side.
Saeyoung
,,We have a surprise!“ you announced.
The RFA was sitting on the red couch were you all took a picture two years ago.
The mood was agonising two years ago.
Today, the RFA was more hyped.
The death of the leader wasn’t forgotten, but it was as painful as it was in the past.
,,Where are the HBC?“ Yoosung asked.
,,Yo Saeran, didn’t you think about using BBCream?“ Zen asked Saeran, analysing his face.
,,Maybe we should use the same security measures as Saeyoung.“
,,I will write it down, Mr. Han.“
,,OI! COULD YOU PLEASE LISTEN TO MY PREGNANT WIFE?“ Saeyoung’s words suddenly resounded.
,,Now you ruined the surprise!“ you suddenly began to cry and walked away.
,,Well done! Now she‘s crying!“ Yoosung exclaimed while Jaehee rushed behind you.
Your pregnancy was moody.
Once you were in a good mood, he was filled with fear and vice versa.
,,Okay, is everything ready?“ you asked Jaehee who nodded.
You felt that it was a girl but Saeyoung was sure that it would be a boy.
,,If they knew...“ Zen laughed to himself and waited for their expressions.
You had two boxes.
You would open them at the same time to reveal the baby‘s gender.
First pink balloons flew up.
,,I WAS RIGHT! IT‘S A GIRL!“ you screamed as you saw his box.
He was happy and about to kiss you, but first you wanted to open your box.
You expected them to also be pink, but then blue balloons flew up.
,,Huh? Did it go wrong?“ you asked Jaehee.
,,Surprise~“ Yoosung laughed.
,,You will have twins!“ Jaehee smiled brightly.
,,I knew it!“ Saeyoung laughed and pulled you up, laughing at you when he saw your overjoyed face.
Since then, everything went really quickly.
Your belly grew enormously and the anticipation grew just as much as the fears.
,,It’s normal that twin‘s come early.“ the nurse tried to convince him.
Her words were numb to him.
His fears just vanished when he finally saw you smiling with your two babies in your arms.
,,It’s okay, it’s okay...“ you patted his back when the nurse brought away your babies.
,,Excuse me, did I give birth to two babies or three?“ you joked when Saeyoung kept crying in your arms.

I meant to do a batch of these a couple of days ago, but then I noticed tumblr wasn’t showing some of the comments on the Activity page, so I left them, hoping they’d show up later. Alas, they did not. I thought we were past this, tumblr. :( I think I’ve tracked them all down now, but apologies if I missed anyone. It wasn’t intentional.
Anyway, here’s Part One of the
Tumblr media
regarding the recent university and graduation posts plus the late-night thoughts for @dramallamadingdang @nekosayuri @taylors-simblr @moocha-muses @strangetomato and @penig.

Hey, he makes that leotard look *good*! :)
I think that leotard always looks good. Usually improved by the presence of a ballet barre, however. But even without, looking ridiculous doesn’t mean you can’t look good too!

Gotta love those crazy profs. :D I’m still looking forward to meeting the drama prof in this ‘hood...

@didilysims Kawaii is indeed Japanese for cute :3 I wholeheartedly agree with you on the shipping thing, by the way, just so you know. :D The thing I dislike the most is also when the creator of a story gives in and puts characters together that they didn't plan on before, because of fanservice. It goes completely against the plot, too. I don't do crackships either ¬.¬ I only recently learned what it even was. xD
Yay, I’m not alone! Ha ha. It bugs me a lot when creators give in to the fans too, especially when so often the story would have been better without these forced pairings. But I’m also the type of person who likes bittersweet endings best and I cheer for characters who choose duty over “love” (more often lust), so... Long, drawn-out, boring, and/or forced romance subplots just aren’t my thing, though I do enjoy some good relationship drama, as obviously my blog evidences. ;)
taylors-simblr replied to your post “Late-night thoughts & ramblings on tumblr that I have been pondering...”
I don’t get the not tagging thing either. I love tags, I overuse them, it’s where I put all my extra thoughts and they’re super helpful for searching. I try not to be rude to anons, I usually ignore any rudeness in a message and put it down to the person being in a hurry, or a non English speaker or something.
So useful for searching! That’s the part I really can’t wrap my mind around--do these people never go back and look for stuff on their own blog? I mean, maybe, but I have to wonder: why not?? Especially if you’re reblogging stuff, isn’t it so you can find it later? I won’t tell anyone how to run their own blog, so it’s really not a big deal, but I cannot understand.
I would say being in a hurry is not really an excuse for rudeness. Is it really so urgent that you can’t type out a please or thank you? Non-native speakers is totally cool, and I find people who are apologizing for bad English are usually way more polite and grammatically correct than their native speaking counterparts. :P  I definitely don’t want to excuse rude anons (when it’s obvious they are being rude) but sometimes I think people more often have their guards up when they get anon asks, and sometimes maybe the guards are too high. Which makes sense, considering the few who ruin it for everyone by sending anon hate. I think my filters are low because I don’t get a huge amount of anon asks, and have never been sent hate, plus most of the nonnies I see are often kind and helpful--those are the best anons!
(This reply kind of ran away with me...sorry!)
moocha-muses replied to your post “Late-night thoughts & ramblings on tumblr that I have been pondering...”
I've never realized it before (I'm not a very visual thinker) but my mental Anon image is apparently a generic stick figure typing on a keyboard.
I don’t often think visually either. Not really sure how my thinking works, actually, except that it does work...usually. :) I visualize people usually as vague faces without most features except maybe one unique thing, like the smile in this case. If I ever witness a crime, I would be totally useless at describing the suspect. “He had hair...I guess. Probably eyes too. And a nose. Overall he was...human-shaped.”
The typing stick figure is super cute, by the way. I can visualize that quite clearly!
strangetomato replied to your post “Late-night thoughts & ramblings on tumblr that I have been pondering...”
I feel as though No. 2 could be directed at me. I wish I were able to give everyone the full benefit of the doubt for every ask that their tone is just off, but if reading it initially felt like a punch in the gut, I don't see anything wrong in letting them know that "hey this came across as hurtful". I usually give myself some time to reflect before answering, and I often run them by someone else. But sometimes people are just rude, whether they mean to be or not.
And also, for myself, mood state can greatly influence how I react to things (see: feeling like this post was criticizing me, haha), which is why I do things like try to wait and see how I feel later. So I think if we're allowing anons the assumption that their tone might be off, we should allow those answering asks the benefit that maybe their negative thinking is colouring how they are interpreting the ask. And past experiences with anon hate can also be a factor.
These are some really good points and I appreciate you sharing them. I don’t get a huge amount of anon asks (although sometimes they come in a big wave, weirdly enough) so I don’t have to deal with constantly weighing the tone of each, and I imagine it can be tiring. Whether intentional or not, if someone can come across as rude, it’s not a bad thing to politely let that person know. In my experience of following you, I would say you have been overall kind and courteous to anons. This definitely wasn’t an aimed criticism, just a random late-night thought that I probably should have kept to myself. Please don’t take it personally, but I do appreciate you weighing in. It’s good for me to get the other side of the story, so to speak.
penig replied to your post
By "Parent Trap" fantasy I mean that a lot of kids whose folks divorce get elaborate fantasies about getting them back together, which can be fed by watching the movie. This is a big enough thing that counselors sometimes warn people dealing with the children of divorce not to let them watch The Parent Trap, as it creates false expectations and makes adjustment harder.
I sort of figured it was something like that. Makes sense. Too bad there weren’t any counsellors around to warn Allegra about the trouble her daughter could cause...

Exactly! It's the lactic acid build-up from the repetitive motion. So, if you play lots of chess, best to be ambidextrous so that one arm isn't bigger than the other. ;) And speed chess is best for muscle-building. Could be considered a cardio workout, even! ;)
I think we’ve got a new workout routine planned out! Quick, let’s patent it and start our own chess gym. We’ll be rich!!

I did send my sims on some outings, but it never happened to me :O maybe I should do it more often XD
You should! I used to always ignore the phone call invitations because they were inconvenient and I was busy doing other stuff, and thus I never bothered to go on outings. But now I nearly always accept the calls and I’m really enjoying the new minigame it’s added to my playing. To warn you, I found it really hard to get a decent score at first. It helps a lot to have an outing with friends that will always accept quick and fun interactions to get the score up!

Confession: Lately, I've been putting Bob Ross videos on YouTube and listening to them as I fall asleep. So relaxing! And I think I'm picking things up subliminally b/c my digital painting efforts are improving. The game needs a TV channel w/a Bob-Ross-li
Gah! Hit Enter by mistake. Anyway...a Bob-Ross-like character that gives Creativity points and Arts & Crafts enthusiasm. Jamal could be the star. His glasses could be the trademark rather than the perm. :)
He’s totally relaxing. I watched a lot of his videos before Christmas when I was knitting presents and his soothing voice fit the cozy atmosphere just right. I love that TV channel idea too. Might have to get Jamal to do a few video shoots! Once he gets his creativity skill up a bit... He’s been in pottery most of his life, which surprisingly (annoyingly) doesn’t count as creative.

To koopalings haters/crazy fans
(forgive my bad english,my native language is spanish,i'm not very good at english '7n7)
I have seen many drama in the koopalings fandom because of crazy fans, haters, and shit like that. The haters blame the fandom for having fans who ship themselves with a koopaling, porn, bad art, shippings, whiny fans,etc...But,you know what? EVERY fandom have that weird fans, maybe in a smaller or bigger amount. And instead of leaving a mean comment on their account, making bad rant videos with poor arguments, making hate art, etc. You can just IGNORE THEM OR BLOCK THEM,you don't need hate the person (maybe if the person is an asshole or is doing something really REALLY offensive) or insult them, remember they are humans with feelings, and sometimes, they are kids too. But if you are offended easily, take things way too seriously,or is affected way too much by things that are not important. You should take a rest from the internet and chill in real life, you can do nice things like listening to your favorite music in your bed or play your favorite game ^_^. Another thing, why you all always focus on the bad things from a fandom? In this case, the koopalings fandom. You know,it's not hard to find good and  fans,in twitter is full of nice koopalings fans and artists :),tumblr have many blogs dedicated to them, and i can keep naming many more(i can give you the links if you want c:) But no,you have to focus on the bad shit...seriously...can you be more positive? (other little thing:you can express yourself with a bad experience in the fandom, but with respect and forgive it later and keep in the things you enjoy)
Now,the koopalings fanboys/fangirls,listen,i haven't seen many bad fans but i'm gonna say this anyway XD. first,i have seen people hating Bowser.jr because "he raplace the koopalings","because of him,the koopalings are not Bowser children"....What?XD,Bowser.jr is only a character,of course you can dislike the character, but the reasons you have are dumb,c'mon the koopalings appear in many games, and sometimes alongside with Bowser.jr. And if you don't like the koopalings don't being Bowser childs anymore, thats okay, you can have your opinion, but always with respect and tolerance with other opinions and the reality, and not being a whiny child about it. To the artists,if you recieve critiques in your comments, accept it,they are ok,and is a good way to improve, but if you recieve mean comments with only insults, ignore it or block it. And if you love a koopaling, you can do it,but i recommend you to be sane and keep it far from the sickness. Just that, remember to be tolerant and positive,if you had that two things, you can have fun in any fandom and the internet in general, believe me XD Feel free to share your opinion in the comments :) and again, sorry if you didn't understand me with my atrocious english

A/N: Request from @rowen19. This was so ridiculous, I loved it! xD Enjoy, everyone!
12th October: Chimera. 🦄 | feat. Captain Boomerang
Words: 675 Warnings: alcohol consumption, theft
“I’m dreading to ask but what are you doing?”
“What does it look like, luv?”
You’d been drinking for the last couple of hours already. Boomerang had eliminated two packages of cheap beer you had bought for him a while ago all on his own all the while you had emptied a red wine bottle you had gotten as a present about a year ago. Not your best idea.
It was the day before Halloween and when the cheeky Aussie had suddenly appeared on your doorstep, looking for shelter, for he was running from the police again, you hadn’t hesitated in terms of welcoming him in. Nothing new, really.
Only if he ever dragged you into one of his escape attempts, sooner or later you would be accused of being his partner in crime. You were, technically, therefore, it was a good reason to get drunk togther.
Shortly before he had arrived, you had even wondered when would be the next time he showed up, finishing putting up some of your Halloween decoration to add some spice to your living room a little. If anything, you two could be called friends with benefits but the fact Boomerang acted oddly jealous every time you met other men had you think he might considered you his girlfriend. Not that you minded, for the record.
Right now, the Captain had gotten up from his comfortable position on your couch to fetch your car keys, stumbling a bit as he was way too drunk to even stand upright already.
“Give those back, your arse ain’t driving anywhere like this!”
“C’mon, luv. Need tah get meself a Halloween costume fah tomorrow,” he slurred. Briefly, you considered it.
“You know what? That’s actually a good idea but I’m gonna call us a cab, alright?”
So you did. Boomerang was famous for his ridiculous ideas whenever he got drunk and the fact you were tipsy yourself didn’t exactly help. Scratch that, you were hopelessly drunk too. The Aussie dragged you straight to the Halloween store in your local mall, ignoring how several pedestrians shot you strange looks upon seeing the criminal.
You had to be quick if you wanted to avoid anyone calling the police to make things critical. In your state right now, it would be a total disaster.
Once you entered the store and were greeted by freaky Halloween decoration, crazy make-up palettes and countless spooky costumes, Boomerang, however, stormed straight over to the children’s section.
“Boomer, what are you doing?” Giggling, you watched him grabbing a unicorn costume and holding it to his body. He was so big it barely covered his chest.
“No offence but you’re never gonna fit in that,”
“Probably not,” he pouted before tossing it back to the clothes hanger. Then, instead, he reached for a unicornhorn made of rubber with an elastic band so children could place it on their forehead. Boomerang put it on.
“How do I look, luv?”
“Ridiculous,” you replied. You burst out in laughter only moments after. “I love it. You know what? I’ll get that for you. I’ve always wanted to have sex with a unicorn.”
The Aussie arched his eyebrows. A shit-eating grin was plastered on his face, showing off his golden tooth as he winked at you. The lustful sparkling in his eyes added to your own arousal as you bit your lower lip in joyful anticipation.
“We need tah get home quickly then or I’ll be a twohorncorn,”
A twohorncorn. You giggled. Of course you knew exactly what he meant. Hopefully the cab was still waiting for you outside.
Quickly, so none of the salespeople would see you, Boomerang tucked the unicornhorn into one of the pockets of his leather coat and you both bolted the store and hid in the cab, ordering the driver to bring you back home.
“You really make Halloween worth my while.” You stated with a mischievous smile. The Aussie pulled you on his lap in response, placing a hungry kiss on your mouth.
“Just yah wait fah tomorrow,” he purred.
