I’m trying to figure out the lil puzzle of why my homestay lady feels like one of the only truly unfriendly people I’ve met in PR
#Like idk the local cultural customs of being in someone’s house I don’t want to judge I don’t knowwww#But she just does not seem interested in interacting with us beyond a here are your meals under a dome thing#and they’re very very bare bones frozen chicken tenders kinds of things which is FINE but like#The one time she bought either salad greens or desert was for when her sister came over#And it was kind of an introduce us and then shoo us away kind of thing. But that entire brazo gitano just sat there in our no touch zone fo#Hours.#Just a random kvetch fest because honestly I’ve had such such a good experience in PR#But I have no idea why she’s hosting students as part of Spanish immersion! It just does not compute????#And I’m just not sure if this is cultural cues I’m being off about. Or deeeeeeply strange
