i put on a lifetime movie without thinking to watch passively as i wrapped some last minute presents only to get jump scared by maddie buckley and doug,,,, i get no escape

#ALL POWER DEMANDS PAIN AND SACRIFICE: musings.#okay but this made me laugh so hard just because of how much it reminds me of misao JSJSJ LOL because she has had like casual 'flings'-#with people and is an addictive personality as i've talked about here once which includes her being a love junkie + getting into-#relationships with people because she is in love with the IDEA of being in love though falling in love with someone can't just happen-#like magic as it involves a bunch of hormones and stuff but misao kind of somewhat hopes that this person of interest to her will somehow-#complete her life anyhow which... yeah can definitely raise a few problems as people with a love addiction often attract love-#avoidant people because both of these types of people generally have a fear of being abandoned and controlled.#but whenever it comes to love-avoidant individual's they're also emotionally unavailable so 😬#it's unfortunately kinddd of a recipe for an unhealthy relationship that could very well lead to the both of them being in a bad place-#once they break up as misao as a love addict is constantly seeking out new love in particular as a lot of excitement and good feelings-#come with this particular type of love in particular. so yeahhh - i know that this may be a bit of a weird picture to do a meta to but-#SHHH lol i just thought it could possibly relate to her more long-term relationships that she's had with people as misao-#tends to avoid feelings of vulnerability with people as you may all know and so this leads to both her + the other person not really-#knowing what they are BC they haven't really established that deeper connection even though they've been together for a while.#not to say that i'm trying to blame misao for having problems with opening up or anything like that but she has a very disorganized-#attachment style i think and that leads to her often doing this continuous 'push and pull' thing in her romantic/sexual ships #where one moment she will want to be attached to the hip to them but the next she will be cold and distant from them.#so yeahhh. misao is honestly kind of like what i've said barton is before: a cake inside of a cake because i feel like she's got sides of-#herself that she doesn't even know about because she's been scared of being fully emotionally vulnerable with someone for a while now sadly #NO SLEEP OF THE INNOCENT. NOT FOR YOU: character study.

oommgg I am that kayaker anon, I saw it first in your tags and asked. But honestly I dgasped twice when I read some part was inspired by your brother

lmaoooo okay so my brother (very good kayaker) was kicking around the royal gorge in 2021 for the yearly release and his group of kayakers ended up juuuuuuust ahead of dane jackson, who is the best kayaker in the WORLD (his dad also owns jackson kayak, one of the major whitewater kayaking manufacturers in the sport. not relevant to the story but he annoys me bc of it). so my brother had SHREDDED his shoulder ligaments playsurfing this big hole on the ottawa river in 2019 BUT he kept paddling like an idiot even though he absolutely needed surgery (he got it last winter the surgeon was like WHAT. ON EARTH.) so when he dropped it over this big ass waterfall and got weirdly pinned in a cave he had a hard time rolling up/popping his skirt bc he dislocated his shoulder immediatelyyyyyy. anyways he got unpinned bc he had some buddies running safety but dane jackson posted a video some months later of his footage from the trip like. troubleshooting how to save my brother (who was. fine at that point anyways. like in pain but not pinned) which is SO FUNNYYY to me but pissed my brother OFFFFFFF. like dane is monologing about how he will try to get my brother's boat out of that cave like a HEROOO while my brother is fully out of the water with all his gear getting his arm popped back in. dane also does NOT know who my brother is so every time they meet he POINTEDLY re-introduces himself LMAO

#tbh my mom was honestly crazier than him she will toss a picture over her shoulder like AND THATS WHEN I ALMOST DROWNED KAYAKING IN PAKISTAN #im like ???? Buying a rotating pen holder because I had one attached to my desk when I was a kid and it just feels right to honor that.

#reorganizing my desk #I’ve been using mugs but there are too many mugs now so I’ve been looking for one #the ones I found looked really junky and thin though so I bought a vtg caboodles one I found online and it’s iridescent and so pretty #i hope it works out #I’m on a rocking horse holding my baby brother but I don’t like posting pictures of people without their permission so I cropped it #even though he’s 25 now #they haven’t shipped it yet so hopefully #everything goes well you never know if things will get canceled when you order from Mercari/depop/poshmark e #etc #I look really tan here I do not go outside anymore so I’m vampire pale #trying to make my desk functional for the first time in years #it’s always so chaotic
