I'm still here.
Hello. I've been leaving you all waiting for a long time, haven't I? Over a year since the last story update. I never thought it would ever get this bad. I could give you all a very long story about what has happened and how it all affected my mental health. But I'll just give you a short version. Back when I first said I would be on hiatus my job was causing me a lot of stress. There were many reasons for this. But I just tried to tough it out. But the next summer after that I lost my job. This sent me down deeper into the trenches. I was able to find another job and it's been good to me so far. I ended up having to move out of my home to something much smaller. And I thought that after I moved and had fewer bills and stresses I would be able to get back into creating. But I just... couldn't. I would have random bursts but nothing that was enough to finish much of anything. I had been denying it. I was being strong for my family. I'm the strong one. I'm the one who pays the bills. But I'm finally accepting it. I'm depressed. And I have been for a long time.
I want to keep creating. It's what makes me the most happy. But it's been a real struggle. The only reason I've drawn anything lately is because of commissions. I cannot promise when I'll be able to post more stories. But please know that I'm trying my best. I'll get some help and get through this. I just felt really bad about being so silent and not saying anything to you wonderful people who like my work. Anyway. I've talked enough. I hope you all have a good rest of your day. And hopefully I'll have something to post soonish. Thank you.

(Ask for Mod) is everything going well for you? are you still continuing this ask blog?
((I have to apologize for leaving this blog for this long. This has long been demoted to a "thing on the side I do when I feel like it" project.
And if you have followed my main blog, you will know that I have been on a posting hiatus when it comes to my story projects. My original plan was for it to be a few weeks to focus on catch up with my DCA story.
That didn't happen. A few weeks has become several months. IRL stress has really been keeping me down since this school year started. (I work at a school so it is teaching related stress, but I won't elaborate further than that because it's not important.) And I am sorry for allowing it to get this bad.
If I am struggling to even work on my main project, it would be a miracle for me to even remember to work on this side project.
So again, I'm sorry for being absent for so long. I do not know when I will come back to this. But I am not gone. Just distracted.
I hope you all have a good rest of your day.

The Neighbor’s Boy is…Odd
A piece from a collection of shorts inspired by Junjo Ito. Enjoy.🖤
Tumblr media
It started when you were welcomed by the Okana family, next door. You had just moved in and the welcome wagon was in full swing. They seemed like a happy bunch, all with blonde hair with brown highlights and wide smiles save for their youngest son. He had red hair…not the orangish kind most would but like a burgundy. He was not that much younger than his brother and had to be in middle school. Which is why you tried to excuse the consistently weird vibe you’d get from him.
“Oi Toichi be respectful to the new neighbor,” his brother scolded him first.
Next, his sister chimed, “Yeah Toichi pass them the cookies we made for them!”
The boy seemed to shuffle anxiously. Blackish brown eyes darting between you and the cookies. When his gaze lingered you smiled and waved. Poor kid was probably frightened by you, reminding you of those nervous kindergartners who are shy in the beginning.
“Hi, are you Toichi? My name is (Y/n) and I’m your new neighbor! So happy to be friends with you!”
The poor kid turned red, bowing his head….and taking off with the cookies in hand.
“Toichi! You’re so rude! Get back here!”
“I’m telling Mom and Dad you took the gift for the neighbors!”
You held back your laughter as the siblings chased one another far from view. Chalking up that encounter to first-meeting jitters felt right. Perhaps your uneasy feeling was unreasonable and Toichi was truly just as pleasant as the rest of your family.
Tumblr media
“Did you hear poor Miss Benson down the street had some cookies with nails in it!”
“Oh, how awful is she alright?”
“She’ll be fine she didn’t bite into any of them, it was the rust that poisoned her.”
“How cruel! That’s just terrible! I bet it was those delinquents, the devils.”
It couldn’t be.
It had to be a mere coincidence. A small coincidence that the cookies Missus Okana slaved over never did get to you and that…odd little boy seemed so nervous to hand the basket over. You hoped it was, so you couldn’t hold it against him when you found him in your yard. The fence was a little over your second-floor windows, unusually high but you figured your gardens might be the interest for scrounging pests. Which had you questioning how on Earth you came home to Toichi knee-deep in the dirt.
“Uh hi Toichi.”
“Eeek!”
He genuinely seemed surprised that you were home. Still dressed in your work attire, you decided not to startle him anymore. It was oddly relaxing instead of marinating in the silence of your garden to navigate the soft-spoken neighbor kid.
“Would you like some tea or some snacks?”
The boy once again turned red barely nodding his little head before turning away. You chuckled at his bashful before retreating inside to get said tea and treats. It was nice to host for little Toichi certainly less conversation but you didn’t mind.
But for good measure, you figured you’d let the family next door know their little one was safe and sound.
Tumblr media
Curse Them!!!
Curse them for that bright smile! Never before have I suffered an active buffer to my curses. Already three of my brilliant curses were thwarted! The first curse was brilliant until their intervention! It was the perfect revenge for frightening me with their….nice face. A cursed gift is what I left the skull of a pesky mouse on their doorstep a lovely little symbol for this new neighbor. But alas I was thwarted by the stray cat that visits them every night, the pesky creature pulled and scratched at the wrapping before dragging it away. I tried to retrieve it but the feline must have been bakaneko with how painful the scratches they inflicted on me…but I was—am unphased!
My next scheme was even more grand! I snatched the sliced fruit they gifted the family in return. Though I’d endured protection from their smile with shielding glasses, but I neglected to use ear plugs to combat their enchanting voice. Surely they are not at all like the usual malevolent forces but for my third attempt I figured I’d have to try! I consulted with the forces beyond when it came to their frequent visitors who dared to bring attention to my hiding place among their bushes! My spirit contact suggested I directly summon them to deal with this problem, but when the demon was summoned all they did was posses the mailman and get invited inside! I wanted to do that!
Clearly on my own the best I could do was put a cursed object in their garden. The object was an extension of myself, the perfect tool to find their weaknesses and destroy them once and for all. Once the full moon rose it would gain all it’s functions and be the perfect puppet, but for now it’s eyes were all that could be used. And with the perfect timing it would prove to be their demise!
“Hey Toichi you alright with cheese crackers?”
Of course I nodded keeping my eyes far from theirs. My puppet was already in place now all I needed to do was leave and activate the puppet so that I could–
“Here you are! Let me know if you need anything else, huni!”
Oh no! They’re vocal enchantments! The earplugs were taken out to avoid detection and now I’m paying the price! As their hex entails my cheeks are red with the blood boiling it causes forcing my heart to beat so much faster. Along with the sweat induced that allows them to collect my cursed essence to bend me to their will! Though I assume that must be the power of this…new mysterious entity. It draws me in, inviting me to stay with it’s infinite power. Looking out the window at the small pile of raised dirt, I began to envy the puppet. Maybe I can–
“TOICHI! Are you bothering our neighbor!”
Curse this wretch of an older brother! I’ll forever hate all his entire existence! HE’S RUINING EVERYTHING! STUPID OLDER BROTHER! AFTER I VANQUISH THEM I’LL TURN YOU INTO A COCKROACH SO I CAN SQUASH YOU, ROAST YOU AND FEED YOU TO THAT STUPID, MANGY,TWISTED C–
“Oh Toichi before you go! Here’s your doll you buried and the extra cookies. See you later!”
….There truly was no hope with this horror….
Well if you can’t beat them they say to join.
Perhaps he’d have to rethink his allegiance to the spirits in the attic sometime.

What am I doing in the year of our lord 2025 drawing Junjou Romantica fanart
Goodness me, I got into JJR back in 2008 when the anime aired and then I got into the manga that same year. At the time, I wasn't really drawing people, I was drawing animals, but I was OBSESSED with this yaoi with my whole heart and wanted so badly to draw fanart for it. So now here it is! 17 years in the making! Btw, trying to interpret anime hair logic with my style is easier said than done, but I did my best lol. All just colored sketches and then some scribbles for funsies.
But I definitely have some complicated feelings about this manga/anime. More below the cut (its A LOT, I'm so sorry).
JJR was one of the first yaois I ever got into, and back in 2008 when I didn't realize being gay was an option, this silly little manga/anime felt like an escape for me. Well, it's now 17 years later and upon rereading this manga (I still have volume 1-12, I could never get rid of them, they mean to much to me) I realize that it has aged POORLY.
This yaoi is definitely a product of its time (2002/2003) and it SHOWS. I find myself disappointed in the dynamic between Usagi-san and Misaki and wish that Misaki would show Usagi-san SOME sort of affection outside of the bare minimum (cooking and cleaning for Usagi) and Usagi definitely has some... Issues of his own. Now, I'm an adult, and I can see that consensual non-consent (CNC) can be fun and exciting for a couple (you know, if agreed upon beforehand), and it can be fun for your partner to initiate things out of the blue, but Usagi definitely toes the line of what that is. Now, I know that this was the early 2000s and yaoi relationships tended to have that dynamic (One being the seme who didn't listen to "no" and the uke who said "no" constantly but actually secretly liked what was happening), like I said, this series is definitely a product of its time. But I don't know man, its not fun (for me) reading sex scenes where one of them is constantly telling the other one to stop over and over again. (I also think it'd be cute as fuck if Usagi-san asked Misaki if he could kiss him and Misaki shyly said yes instead of yelling at him like he always does).
I even went online to read up to volume 27, but all I can express is that same disappointment. Misaki rarely even likes to acknowledge that he's in love with Usagi-san, or is dating the man, or even likes him (it seems to be only under duress that he admits these things STILL. IN 2022 when that volume was released!)
I wish there had been more character development in the years since I stopped reading the manga, I wish we could see Misaki and Usagi-san acting like they actually like each other outside of when they have sex (yes there are small moments between the two, and a bickering couple can be a fun dynamic, but dear lord lets shake things up A LITTLE. I'M BEGGING).
Lets not even get started on the sketchyness that is (at the start of the manga) a 28 year old falling in love with an 18 year old (And we're not even going to TALK about Miyagi and Shinobu) -don't bring up the age of consent in Japan, I do NOT wanna hear it-.
Listen, I'm 29, and I would NEVER even DREAM about dating an 18 year old (or 19 year old) at my age. (Fuck, the youngest I'll date is MAYBE 23 but even THATS pushing it for me).
All of that to say is that I still can't help but have an extreme soft spot for this series, and there are still moments that I love from this (Volume 9, the Christmas chapter, am I right? Gets me EVERY time), and fuck, Shungiku Nakamura is probably still making bank with this series so who the fuck am I to say anything lol. I'm just a rando online with an opinion, you don't have to agree, and you can think that whatever Misaki and Usagi have is fuckin' AWESOME. I'm just an old fart
But, I dunno, I think it'd be interesting to explore Misaki's internalized homophobia, and Misaki slowly but surely growing more and more comfortable with not only accepting Usagi-san's affections and even reciprocating and initiating on his own, but also accepting HIMSELF and being happy with who he is instead of the constant self shame he puts himself through for being with a man. Let's be so real, he is gay, he can't stop looking at other attractive men and FAWNING over how hot they are (Nowaki, Todo, Injuin Sensei, the list goes on).
But who am I to complain, I went and drew fanart of these two anyway. Rock, meet glass house.
Unrelated, I love the art style in volume 3-6 a lot because its very "late 90s early 2000s" art and I think the art peaked in volume 9. And now its unpeaking. Bring back Usagi-san's yaoi chin so help me god.
I do have yaoi I prefer over this one a lot more, and involve older couples (which I find that I prefer), and have fun, cute stories. If anyone has read this far and wants those recs, lemme know (dear god I'm so sorry, this has gone on so long.)
Anyway I do want to redraw some of the sex scenes and post it to my bluesky.

Adventures with Character AI
Pt. 3 Poke Poke
Tumblr media
One of the first Moon AIs I chatted with was absolutely obsessed with poking me in the face.
I tried several things to mess with him back but the only thing that got to him was pretending to sleep funnily enough.
