Today, we honor those brave souls for taking part during D-Day which took place 75 years ago today. Many of those brave men were equipped with a vast selection of weaponry to include the iconic @auto_ordnance Thompson M1A1. . #america #dday #savingprivateryan #spr #m1a1 #m1 #1944 #june6th1944 #wwii #ww2 #normandy #usarmy #army #navy #usmc #marines #war #invasion #greatestgeneration #worldwar2 #worldwar #worldwarii #bandofbrothers #bfv #bf5 #battlefield #codwwii #codww2 @thekahrgirl @auto_ordnance @weaponsdaily @firearms @gunsdaily @gundosellc @guns.page @sbr.nation @brownellsinc (at Fayetteville, North Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/ByXlW68pRFV/?igshid=1doy29ym1addp

“Be in their flowing cups freshly remember'd. This story shall the good man teach his son; And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be remember'd; We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he to-day that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother “ -KING HENRY V- #dday #🇺🇸 #june6th1944 (at United States of America) https://www.instagram.com/p/CeeFNrqJUps/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Today in US History: We shall never forget and honor you always... "It is better to live one day as a lion, than a thousand days as a lamb". On June 6, 1944, more than 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified French coastline, to fight Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France. Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower called the operation a crusade in which, “we will accept nothing less than full victory.” More than 5,000 Ships and 13,000 aircraft supported the D-Day invasion, and by day’s end, the Allies gained a foot-hold in Continental Europe. The cost in lives on D-Day was high. More than 9,000 Allied Soldiers were killed or wounded, but their sacrifice allowed more than 100,000 Soldiers to begin the slow, hard slog across Europe, to defeat Adolf Hitler’s crack troops. #DDAY #June6th1944 #HeroesOfTheStorm #Normandy #AlliedForces #USTroopsCanadianTroopsBritishTroops #BeachesNamedUtahOmahaJunoGoldandSword (at Master Namaste Athletic Services)

Today we are remembering D-Day 75 years on... We remember the incredible courage of the soldiers who charged towards the shore and who dropped from the skies for the sake of liberty for all. Last year I visited the landing beaches myself for the first time - a surreal moment to still sell all the craters left on that fateful day 75 years ago. #DDay #1944 #June6th1944 - As the men approached the beach on their landing craft they were read the following message: Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force! You are about to embark upon a great crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you. In company with our brave Allies and brothers in arms on other fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world. Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle hardened, he will fight savagely. But this is the year 1944! The tide has turned! The free men of the world are marching together to victory! I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full victory! Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessings of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking. - Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower http://bit.ly/2WpLI1M
