WIP Game

Rules: you will be given a word. Then you share one sentence/excerpt from your wip(s) that starts with each letter of your word!

I was tagged by @lavenderstobins! (thank you!) The word is 'SPIRITED'. A couple of these were surprisingly difficult, you'd think with the amount of fics I have in progress I'd have at least some sentences beginning with common letters :)

S - Standing himself, Steve pointed to her feet, instructing, “shoes off, before we start. If you do step on my toes, I want it to at least be a soft landing.” (stobin month 2025)

P - Perhaps she was home a little later than usual, but appearing nonchalant shouldn’t raise any concern if anyone saw.

Nobody was likely to suspect her anyway. Murder is a man’s game, right? (murderer June Douglas (Asteroid City), chapter 1)

I - “I will never work with a jerk like you, okay?” Her voice became lower, anger controlled as she stepped right up to him. She looked him straight in the eyes behind his mask, mentally cursing whichever douchebag was hidden underneath it. “I’m serious, back off.” (Sailor V Robin AU)

R - “Richard left this house to me.”

Robin actually scoffed at that, laughing humourlessly. It was unbelievable how, after everything, she was still trying to lie to her.

Her eyes narrowed, fearless to challenge her stepmother for the first time in years, “we both know that’s not true.” (rovickie Cinderella AU, chapter 9)

I - “It’s fine, honestly,” she kept up the lie, forcibly pulling her hand away, “I mean, thank you.”

Not the first words she expected to speak to her girlfriend’s ex, but then again, none of this was what she expected. (rovickie Happiest Season AU, chapter 2)

T - “That you are the princess?” Robin clarified, receiving a nod.

They hadn’t properly spoken of it yet.

Frankly, she admitted, “you introduced yourself to me as Vickie, I didn’t make the connection to Princess Victoria. I thought a princess would introduce herself as such.” (rovickie Cinderella AU, chapter 6)

E - “Everyone get out of here, now!” she commanded, thankful that they clearly respected her enough to instantly follow her order.

Steve Harrington, however, did not. “You heard her, come on!”

He stood by the door, ushering everyone out, checking all those younger than him were safe first. Unfortunately, she couldn’t fault him; she’d be doing the same if there wasn’t a rampaging seven foot monster to keep away from them. (Sailor V Robin AU)

D - “Do you like Ziggy Stardust?”

That threw him off. She was eyeing his Bowie patches; knew what they were, and knew his stage name. She was certainly different from the kids he expected to meet in this place. (jobin childhood friends, linked to Sailor V AU)
