Did I ever tell you this?

It’s been 20 years today. This was my 10 week sonogram. I never met them. I never held them. Today I s my fucking birthday and I’ve maybe drank too much, but why did it have to be my birthday? I’d love to forget one year. Just once would be a relief. The grief is horrific. It changed my very core. I miss them. I wish I had known them, raised them. I felt them. They were there. Little hearts beating and then…they were gone.
