When the light faded from her daughters door Alma feared what it could mean both for the Encanto and her daughter

She kept Julieta close or in casita because in her mind she was more fragile then Pepa and Bruno and needed more protection

The two of them absorbed their mothers mentality and became extremely overprotective of their older sister

The triplets are all socially stunted although for different reasons

Alma pushed Bruno and Pepa extremely hard to learn to control and improve their gifts

Alma’s protective and controlling mentality leaked over to the village and they now have defenses in place in case they are attacked

Since her family is always so busy Julieta does most of the chores in casita and her best to take care of her family

Bruno and Pepa see Julieta as this soft precious caretaker that they need to protect

 Agustin had an extremely hard time getting permission to court Julieta but he managed it Somehow

To the Amazing Madrigals, what are you planning for Halloween this year? I'm just curious what an Encanto Halloween is like.

Halloween? Now there’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time.

Umm, what’s Halloween, Abuela? I don’t think you’ve ever told us about that one.

Alma: It’s a holiday that’s celebrated at the end of October. It’s a spooky night where witches, ghosts, goblins, and all sorts of spooky creatures supposedly go around. It’s all very scary, but in a fun way. We would dress up in costumes and go door to door and would get treats like candy.

I think I can get behind the treats... I wonder what kind of treat I can make for something like this.

How come we never celebrated Halloween until now, Abuela?

Alma: For three reasons: One: Too many memories of your Abuelo Pedro. Two: We don’t have all the things to make a good Halloween celebration. And three, and this is probably the biggest reason: Everyone will want to dress in the spookiest thing they can think of. And right now, the spookiest thing, or rather person, they can think of is...

Two parallel versions of the Encanto combine one a continuation of the cannon timeline and one where instead of hiding in the walls because of Mirabel’s prophecy, Bruno left the family years before and Mirabel eventually ran away as well leaving a tearful goodbye letter to her parents Antonio and Luisa Isabela Married Mariano and had six children triplets, twins, and a newborn The triplets are soon to turn five, and while on the surface their marriage is perfect they do nothing but fight and Mariano is carrying on an affair with Dolores he wants to run away with her but refuses to abandon his children and while he and Isabella don’t get along he would never take the kids away from her unless she was a threat to them Abuela is trying to pressure Camilo into marriage and Antonio is sending out bird scouts to look for Mirabel

Have any outsiders ever been to the Encanto before and after the boarders were opened?

Si, that would by my family.

Yeah, I almost for got that you came from Bogotá, Pa. Come to think of it, I don’t think you ever told us the story of how you and your family came to the Encanto.

Agustin: ... Well, it’s not a story I tell often, but I guess you’re all old enough... Back in Bogotá, Colombia’s capital city, we Rojas were one of the richest families around. But due to the many wars and riots our country is known for, we lost everything. Our house, our money, our possessions, all of our property were gone. We left Bogotá in shame. We just kept going and going until we came upon this rock wall. We decided to climb it in hopes of finding a new home where no one knew us. And that’s how we came to the Encanto... It’s also the day I met your mother.

Lusia: How did that turned out?

Agustin: (laughing) I think your mother already told you that story. But I guess I can give you a little more details. Back then, I was already a bit of a clutz, so when I was climbing down the Encanto wall, I slipped and fell and broke my nose. There were no hospitals here, but a villager told us about “the girl with the magical food”. When I first saw your mama heal the guy in front of me with just one arepa, I knew she was for real. So when I came to her and she healed my nose, do you know what she said?

“You should be more careful with that pretty face?”

Agustin: (surprised and nearly trips) Mi vida, how long have you’ve been listening?

Julietta: Long enough.

Agustin: Anyway, I was so shocked and surprised I tripped and broke my nose again. That would not be the last time I would visit your mother.

Luisa: And in time, you two became friends and then fell and love and got married.

Julietta: Pretty much. Speaking of which, how’s your nose? I still would have thought about making a healing drink, but I had to work with just my regular arepas.

Agustin: It’s fine, mi amour. And I can’t wait to see that healing drink.

Julietta: To be honest, so do it. Now come, dinner’s ready.
