You and Haknyeon were on a week's vacation, you both needed a quick break from your busy lives, and before he would go on tour, so you both decided that it would be best to take a quick break, only telling the company and your closest friends and family. It was late in the afternoon and the sun was starting to set, the giant glass windows and the door were facing the ocean, and you could see the sun flowing on the waters as it also slowly started to enter the room and move onto the bed, which illuminated Haknyeon’s already beautiful skin.
You were both laying on the gigantic bed in the room, his arm underneath you and his hand on your arm and his finger drawing circles on your skin, you were snuggled against him as you watched the sun moving lower and the colours of the sky changing. You hadn’t felt this relaxed in years, and you could feel your stress and tension slowly leaving your body. Haknyeon turns his head to you and moves his hand to your chin and lifts your face to have you look at him. His brown eyes melted you with how the sun highlighted them, and they practically looked golden.
Your lips touch softly and quickly, the kiss was brief, but he pulls you back for another one, you could feel the quick short kisses growing needier and more hungry. As he was pulling you in for another kiss, you press your hand on his chest, stopping him and making him look at you confused.
“Hak… you know I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days,” You say. You watch the confusion vanish from his eyes, and he pulls you closer once more, your lips barely touched when he paused.
“I am well aware,” He mutters before kissing you deeply, and softly. His hand moves from underneath your chin to your jaw to cup it and hold you in place, the kiss becomes longer, and you could feel his lips moving slowly with yours. You part your lips once you felt his tongue slide over them and allow him access to your mouth. The air surrounding you slowly shift to a more heavier and hotter feeling, his hand on your jaw slowly moves lower before you felt him cup your boob through the shirt you wore, which was his shirt you had pulled on earlier.
His hand slowly rubs over your breast, and your nipple slowly begins to harden as the fabric rubs against the bud, and he could feel it. His tongue explored your mouth, every inch of it before he finally settled his tongue against yours, only for you to push it back into his mouth with your own as you push your tongue into his mouth. Your breathing was becoming louder as the air was slowly running out for you bot. You move your hand on his chest to cup his cheek, not just yet wanting to pull away from this kiss. His thumb rubs your nipple, feeling the hardened bud through the shirt and continues to rub over it, with each rub you could feel a twist inside you as the sensation goes right to your core.
You both pull back, gasping for air as your lungs burned for air, you lean your forehead against his, your noses brushing against each other, eyes closed as you both took a moment. Your lips felt swollen, and your chin felt wet as strings of saliva had broken off when you had pulled back. His thumb continues to rub over your nipple, and you could feel yourself growing wet at the touch.
“Was that slow enough and long enough for you?” He whispers. You open your eyes and saw him already looking at you. “Because we can go slower, longer…” You slide your hand away from his cheek and move it down to the hem of his shirt before slipping your hand underneath the fabric and slowly rubbing your hand up and down his toned torso.
“It was… but we can go slower and longer,” You whisper. His hand moves away from your boob, and you feel it travel down your side and over your exposed thigh before he grabbed the back of it and pulled your leg over his. You immediately straddle his thighs and push his shirt upwards. He sits upright and lets you remove his shirt completely before he leans back. The sun was illuminating you as well, and he swore you were an angel on top of him with how you glowed in the sunset colours.
“Should we?” He asks. His hand slides up and down your thigh, rubbing your leg and feeling your warm skin underneath his touch. You lean over and press a kiss to the middle of his chest before looking up at him.
“In a moment, first, let me do this,” You say. His other hand rests on your knee as he watches you press another kiss to his chest before you begin to leave a trail of kisses down to his stomach. You kept your gaze on his face as you move lower and lower, you reach his belly button and slowly kiss a trail down until you reached his boxers. Watching you kiss him like that caused his cock to twitch in his underwear. He slides his hands higher on your thighs before his hands gripped below your ass cheeks and flipped you onto the bed and settled between your legs, your knees staying bent and your feet pushed into the mattress.
“My turn now,” He says. You could see a shift in his tone and that his eyes had darkened, even in the sunlight that was now starting to fade away as the sun disappeared behind the ocean. His hands flatten against your hip, and he slowly slides his hands upwards while pushing your shirt upwards and exposing your stomach to him. He leans down and presses his lips to your tummy and kisses upwards the more he exposes you to him.
“It feels so good when you do that,” You mumble and sit uprights while grabbing onto the hem of your shirt and lifting it over your head, he pushes his face against the middle of your chest, making you lay back while his hands cup the side of your breasts and move his thumbs over your nipples.
“Hmm, feels good when somebody is kissing you like that,” He says. His face was between your breasts, and he was looking up at you with his chin resting against your skin, he squishes your boobs together against his cheeks and smiles at you. “And it’s always nice when I can do this with your boobs,” You feel his thumbs circling over your nipples, you could feel your body getting warmer as the time slowly ticks by.
“You look cute with them smushed against your cheeks,” You say and move one of your hands to the top of his head to comb your fingers through his hair. He turns his head, and you feel him kiss the swell of your breast, you could feel his hair tickling your nipple as he turned his head, and you take in a deep breath. “Goshhh,” You sigh out and feel him move his head before his lips were against your nipple, kissing the hardened nipple.
“Maybe we can do that long and slow kiss a little later,” He says. Thankfully you had turned the lights on before you had laid down, and they were now illuminating the room as the sun had now completely set and darkness had taken over the sky.
“Hmm, I agree, a little later would be better,” You say. Your lids flutter as you feel his lips wrap around your nipple, and suck on it, while using the tip of his tongue to rub over the bud. His thumb presses against the underside of your boob, and you feel him breathing hard against your breast. You reach down with your other hand and slip it between your bodies, turning it upwards and cupping him through his underwear.
“Hmm,” He hums against your nipple as he feels your hand pressing against his hardening cock. His lids flutter as he feels your hand slowly palm along his length, making sure to take your time until you reached the end before your hand moves back along it, only stopping when the fabric stopped your hand from reaching any further. You could feel your nipple becoming sensitive as he sucks on it and plays with it, the sensation that was going through you was going straight towards a ball of pleasure that was beginning to form inside you.
“Hak…” You sigh. He pulls away from your nipple and his thumb immediately presses against it, slowly spreading his saliva over the bud and over your boob, he releases your boob as he moves his head towards it and reaches between your bodies, his hand brushing against your arm before you felt his fingers cupping your pussy through your panties and begin to rub his fingers along your folds, the touch sparking something inside you, and you could feel yourself growing wetter.
“You’re just… everything,” He whispers. “You’re everything I could have asked for and more,” You could feel your heart growing at his words, and your love growing a little deeper. “Moments like this… like these, they’re everything to me,” His hot breath was blowing against your nipple as he spoke. Haknyeon was usually a joker, but you knew behind that exterior was a man that loved so deeply and loved so hard.
“They mean the world to me too,” You whisper. You could feel tears starting to form in your eyes from his words, you loved him so much, you were so deeply in love with him, even through the hardest moments, you loved him deeply. You feel him gently kiss your nipple before his lips were around the bud, gently sucking on it while his fingers were starting to press a little harder against your folds. “You mean the world to me,” You slide your hand away from his cock and move it to the elastic of his underwear and dip your hand into his underwear, your fingers slowly move over his pubic bone, and you slide your hand closer to his cock.
“Hmm, hmm,” He hums around your nipple, feeling your fingers and hand get closer to his cock. He presses his fingers harder against your panties and pushes the fabric between your folds, causing your legs to jolt as you felt the sudden contact against your clit. You press your knees against his body as he begins to rub slow circles over your clit, the fabric adding to the stimulation.
“Haaakkk,” You whine out. You could feel your back starting to stick to the bedding as sweat begins to build up on your skin. Your fingers reach his cock, and you lightly trace them along his length and hear him take in a stuttering breath. “Ohh…” Your touch on his cock was feather-light, and he could feel himself wanting to shiver from it. He pulls back from your nipple, strings of saliva breaking off as he does and coats his chin.
“You’re taking your sweet time to fully touch it, aren’t you?” He mutters and moves his head higher. “As good as it feels… please, take it properly,” It sounded like his voice was strained as he spoke. “Fuck, please, I need you to,” Just hearing the pleading in his tone was adding to the pleasure building inside you, and you could feel yourself just getting wetter, and you were sure he could as well.
“Well… it’s called building up to the main event, isn’t it?” You ask before you wrap your fingers around his girth and watch his lids shut for a moment, you watch them twitch as his eyes move behind them. “But if you really want me to touch you like this, I’ll gladly do so,” You slide your hand to the head of his cock and swipe your thumb over the tip, feeling the pre-cum that’s built there and feeling a wet patch on the back of your thumb on his underwear. His fingers move a little faster against your clit, and you could feel a tingling sensation starting to form in your toes before slowly creeping up your legs.
“Fuck,” He breathes out and opens his eyes to stare up at you. He moves his head higher and his lips make contact with your chest, and you watch him begin to suck on the spot, his tongue swiping over the skin as he was creating a mark. His fingers slide along your pussy, pushing your panties more between your folds and causing them to rub against your clit as his fingers were making their way to your slit. He could feel how wet you were, your panties must be ruined with your juices.
“Hak, hmm,” You moan. His fingers press against your slit, and you feel the fabric rubbing against that spot, it already felt sensitive, and he hadn’t even had his fingers inside you or his cock. He tugs your panties away from your entrance, making sure that some of the fabric was still against your clit, before he slipped two digits into it. “Oh, O-ohh,” Your eyes close at the light stretch from his fingers, and your panties rub against your clit as he pushes his fingers deeper into you. “H-Hak…” You grab onto his hair with your other hand, letting him know how good it felt. “Hmm…” His fingers curl inside you, and you feel the tingling sensation reach your core and add to that ball of pleasure inside you.
“Hmm, you’re so wet…” He mutters as he pulls back from your chest. His lips travel higher, and you feel them against your collarbone as he begins to leave soft kisses behind. “Are you gonna cum for me?” He pulls his fingers from you halfway before pushing them back into you at a slow agonising pace, at the time your thumb was slowly rolling over the tip of his cock, rubbing over the slit and spreading his pre-cum over the tip.
“Hak, hmm… yes,” You whisper. Your entire body felt hot, and you could feel the pleasure only growing inside you, the tension pulling inside you, close to snapping and giving you that euphoric feeling you were both chasing after. “Fuck…” You feel his fingers curl inside you before they extend and pull out of you halfway, with each slow pump into you, you could feel your panties rubbing your clit and your mind was slowly slipping into a pool of pleasure.
“Then cum for me,” He whispers and presses the palm of his hand against your flit, causing the fabric to press harder against your clit, his fingers curl deep inside you, and you feel your back arch. Your eyes roll to the back of your head behind your lids, and the tension inside you snaps.
“HAAAKK!” You cry out. The euphoric feeling takes control of your body, your toes curl into the sheets and your legs shake with pleasure, and for a moment it felt like your body was floating through the skies with how light your body suddenly felt as your release hits you. “O-OHH,” You turn your head to the side and pull at his hair, feeling all types of emotions going through you. You pull your hand away from his cock, sliding it out from his underwear, and you grab onto his hips, pressing your fingers hard into his skin as you hold onto him. “Hmm, hmm, fuck, I… Hmm,” You whimper and whine out.
“Look at you, looking so blissful and like you’re glowing,” He mutters against your collarbone. “Sounding so pretty also,” Your walls clench around his fingers at his words, and you feel your muscles tighten for a moment before they relax. “Just so beautiful, just like a goddess,” He feels your body slowly relaxing underneath him and pulls his fingers from you, his hand on your boob moves away, and he presses it into the mattress before sitting back on his knees, your hands fall away from his hair and his hip and land on the bed. His eyes slowly move over your body, drinking up every little detail he could spot. “Get on your hands and knees, right now,” His tone was low as he told you, no, ordered you, which only caused your pussy to clench. You open your eyes to stare up at him, your chest heaving up and down as you breathed in rapidly.
“Haaakk…” You whine out, but slowly sit upright before turning around, making sure not to accidentally hit him as you do. You feel his fingers curl into the elastic of your panties and pull them down, letting his knuckles brush over your ass as he does. You lift your knees just enough to let him slip the panties over them, before you lower back down and let him pull the fabric from your feet.
“This is so ruined, baby,” He says. You turn your head just in time for him to show you how soaked your panties were. “It may need a few washes,” You squeeze your eyes shut and turn your head away before hearing the fabric being tossed aside. He places his hand in the middle of your back before slowly sliding his hand along your spine and over the curve of your ass before it disappears.
“Hak… gosh, I…” You whimper out, your mind was still buzzing from the orgasm you had. You feel the bed move and hear the sound of fabric moving. You turn your head and watch as he tosses his underwear aside before he gently placed a hand on your hip. “I need you…” Your back arches as you feel his cock slide through your folds, sliding all the way towards your clit before sliding back. “Hak, Oh…” Your fingers twist into the bedding as you wait in anticipation for him to put his cock into you.
“Let me just take a moment to admire you…” He says. You feel his hand on your hip, gently squeeze down. “Gosh, you… you’re just my everything,” You bite your lips as you feel yourself becoming emotional. “Fuck…” Your jaw slacks as you feel him push the tip into you, stretching your walls slowly as he does, he releases himself and places his hand on your hip and slowly guides you back, and over his cock. “O-oh, fu-fuck…”
“Hmm, f-fuck, H-Hak…” You moan out. The feeling of his cock slowly stretching you out and filling you was making your mind spin and causing your walls to pulse around him. “Hmm, mmh,” Your back stays arched from the pleasure coursing through your veins. It felt like your arms wanted to collapse beneath you at how good it felt.
“Uhh, hmm,” He groans, feeling your walls squeeze around him, and engulfing him with warmth. The sound of your juices squelch and fills the room, his grips on your hips tighten as he stops once he was fully inside you, taking a moment to gather his breath and give you a moment to adjust. “Fuck, you feel so good…” You feel him slowly guide your hips forward, his cock sliding out of you halfway before your hips were pulled back against him. “Fuck…” The sensation felt electric as it went through your body, the way his cock was brushing against your walls as he guides you over his cock.
“Uhmm, Yeon, oh, my…” You moan, your mind spins and you felt absolutely euphoric. The way he held onto you and guided you over him, the way you felt the warmth of him near you, just him in general was enhancing the blissful feeling coursing through you. “O-ohh,” You tilt your head back, and you feel one of his hands slide along your spine before you felt his hand on the back of your neck.
“Need you closer,” He groans. You feel his grip tighten before you felt his other hand wrap around your middle, and you were pulled upright and held against him. His hand on the back of your neck quickly disappears and cups your boob moments later. “Fuck, that’s it, like this,” His arm around your middle held firmly onto you as he rolls his hips into you.
“Fuck, Haknyeon… right there, like that, fuck,” You moan as you feel his cock getting closer to touching your sweet spot. His hips rut into yours, and you feel your breath getting caught in your throat as he does hit the spot. “HAK!” Your eyes roll to the back of your head behind your lids, and you felt like your body was set alight. “FUCK, THERE!”
“Right there?” He mutters lowly into your ear, his breathing was loud right next to your ear, and you could feel goosebumps forming on your skin. “Hmm, is that the spot?” His cock brushes against it again, and he feels your walls clench around him. “Hmm, it is.”
“FUCK, YES, FUCK, YES!” You scream out. You reach up to hold onto his arm that was around your middle and dig your fingers into his skin. “HAK!” You could feel the sweat building up between your bodies, the sounds that were being created sounded so sinful and filthy.
“Fuck, you feel so good, you’re taking me so good, fuck,” He groans into your ear. With how low his tone was, it instantly caused your walls to clench around his cock. “Just like that, fuck,” His hips were starting to move a little faster, his arm around your middle moved down, and you feel his fingers sliding over your mound before you felt his fingers make contact with your clit.
“HAKNYEON!” You cry out. Your toes curl and your grip on his arm tightens, your mind was spinning as the tension inside you comes undone, your back arches, and you push your ass more against him. “FUCK!” Stars fly past your visions behind your lids. He could feel your walls rapidly pulsing and knew you were going through your high.
“That’s it, like that,” He mutters. His lips brush against your earlobe, and he feels your walls clamp down around him, his hips involuntary begin to move faster. “Fuck, I wanna join you, baby…” He could feel just how close he was as his muscles were tightening and twitching. “I’m gonna fuck,” He closes his eyes, the sound of your juices were loud in his ear and he couldn’t help but move faster and faster, his hips stuttering as he does. “Fuuuckkkk,” Your body shakes in his hold, your mind completely blank of everything as it felt like your body was floating with euphoria.
“Ha-Haknyeon…” You whimper out. His hips harshly push against yours, and you feel his lips press down hard against your shoulder, his grip on your boob tightens for a moment, and you felt his hand on your mound squeeze it for a moment. “Fuck… fill me, like that,” Hot ropes of cum spill into you as his hips stutter against yours as he tries to get himself through his high. Your walls pulse around his cock, helping him get through his high while his finger was desperately trying to continue rubbing your clit, but his mind was spinning, and he could barely focus on anything other than the pleasure that was going through him.
You lean your head back against his shoulder, taking in deep breaths as you slowly descend from the high your body was going through, your mind continues to spin as you open your eyes to look at the ceiling above. Your body felt tingly as you took a moment to let the feelings flow through you. Haknyeon’s forehead lays against your shoulder, and you could feel and hear him breathing hard as he took a moment to gather his thoughts, his hips stop against yours, and he holds onto you as he catches his breath. His grip on your breast loosens, and you feel his finger move away from your clit before he gently and carefully lowers you down onto the bed, his cock slipping from you as he does.
“Hmm,” You whimper. You immediately turn on your back once you touched the bed and look up at him. Sweat rolls down his chest and stomach, his hair was sticking to his forehead and neck, and the sight caused you to bite your lip and squeeze your legs together, which quickly reminded you of the mess between your folds. “Hak…” His eyes were warm and light as he looks at you. “Shall I go run the tub for us?” He gives you a warm smile before placing his hand on your thigh and giving it a reassuring squeeze.
“I’ll go… I was just taking a moment to admire all that you are,” He says. You could feel your cheeks heating up at his words and watch him get off the bed. “Are you okay, though?” You nod your head, giving him a warm smile. “Good… because we still have that long and slow kiss to do.”
“Shall we do it while in the tub?” You ask. He nods his head and makes his way towards the bathroom. “Perfect… I can’t wait to taste your lips on mine again.”

rat in the trap
haknyeon x fem!reader
summary: you knew haknyeon wasn’t coming to the bar for you. it was just for his job, to investigate. and yet, when he gave you that sweet smile of his, you couldn’t stop yourself from hoping for something more, for something real...
tags: undercover!haknyeon, suggestive, making out, angst, manipulation, mafia au type themes; warnings: alcohol, gun violence (non graphic), blood
wc: 10.6k
a/n: this was actually inspired by the convoyz episodes, specifically something sunwoo said (you'll see~), but the plot strayed very far from that. anyway i hope you'll enjoy this--it's been in my WIPs since february so i'm glad to finally have it done hehe
masterlist
You were pretty convinced your boss was entangled in something messy. For one he was paying you in cash—not exactly a common thing at a respectable business. Then again, by itself it wouldn't be strange enough to be alerted. The other thing though were the men with their black suits and slicked back hair that came in once or twice a month. There were usually two of them, younger than you'd think and definitely younger than your boss. They'd come right after closing time when you'd already be wiping down the counters. Most of the time they’d just head straight for the little office your boss had in one of the backrooms and leave just as quickly again. But once in a while they sat down in the corner booth, ordering a whiskey on ice and waiting for your boss to sit with them. You didn't know much about them, aside from their drinking preferences and their names that you'd overheard before. Your boss seemed to purposely keep you away from their talks, telling you to leave the closing up to him even though he usually pushed as much work as possible onto you. Not that you'd complain—closing up was annoying and it seemed to be better for your personal safety to not get involved anyway. Most importantly though, you received a generous tip on days like these. He'd give it to you under the claim that business had been good that day, but you knew there was more to it; a bribe to keep your mouth shut about something you didn’t even know anything about. And you weren’t going to try and find out—curiosity killed the cat and satisfaction wouldn't pay your rent if you lost this job.
With all of this in mind, you had your suspicions when Haknyeon came in for the first time. He probably thought he was doing a really good job staying undiscovered, but you'd worked at the bar long enough to know who belonged to your usual clientele and who didn’t. And Haknyeon—well, he was just a tad bit too clean. Even if he undid the topmost button of his perfectly ironed white shirt—he was still wearing a perfectly ironed white shirt. He looked like a salary man or a lawyer, or, if your gut feeling was right, a cop in disguise.
Rather than one of the tables, he sat down at the bar with a little sigh.
"Rough day at work?" you asked with your sweetest smile. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer and all that. Though, frankly, you weren’t sure what he'd turn out to be. If it came down to it, you’d choose your personal safety above the law anyday. Still, a sweet smile couldn’t hurt. Especially not if it was returned this brightly.
"Not particularly," he admitted easily. "I'm just a little bored, a little tired."
"Bored, hm?" You tilted your head. "This isn’t exactly an exciting place though. Most people that come here just want to silently drown their sorrows in a glass of whiskey. There isn’t a lot here that could help with boredom."
"You're here, though."
For a second you just stared at him, taken off guard by the comment. You hadn't intended to flirt with him. Mostly you'd just tried to casually let him know that you knew the place well—making yourself look valuable seemed like a good idea. But his remark had actually made your heart stutter for a second there.
"Sorry," he chuckled awkwardly, his eyes cast down. "It was a bit much, wasn't it? I just meant to say that you seem to be an interesting person."
You found your smile again. “Likewise.”
“I’m Haknyeon, by the way.”
“So, Haknyeon, what can I get for you?”
“You’re not going to tell me your name?”
You shrugged, a challenging grin on your face. “Do I have to?”
With a laugh, Haknyeon looked up at you through his lashes. You liked the spark in his eyes. “I’ll have a beer then,” he said instead of pressing further. You liked that too.
Haknyeon kept coming after that, sitting at the counter every single time. He made casual conversation, telling you silly stories about his colleagues from his boring office job (which you were more or less certain were really colleagues from his police job) and he also asked about you, your likes and dislikes, your life, your work at the bar, the bar itself. It seemed to confirm your suspicions—why else would he want to know so much about you? And yet a small little hope started to bloom in your chest, that maybe you’d been wrong, that maybe he was coming for you after all. There was just something about him that made you feel attached. Perhaps it was the way he’d slowly repeated your name after you finally told him, nodding as if to say that it suited you. Or perhaps it was his laughter or the way he’d smile fondly whenever he’d been the one to make you laugh. Whatever it was, you found yourself falling quickly, against your better knowledge.
“I think you should go out with me,” Haknyeon said out of nowhere one day, before he’d even gotten his drink.
“What?”
“I’ve thought about it and it would only make sense.”
You laughed. “How so?”
“Well, I think we’ve gotten to know each other as well as we can in this context. So if I want to get to know you better, I have no choice but to take you on a date.”
He was taking it too far, you thought. If this was really all just about his undercover investigation, he shouldn’t do this, he shouldn’t ask you out. He shouldn’t toy with your feelings in this way if his only objective was to get information on your boss. Naturally, you should have declined. You were already too invested in this, in him and seeing him outside surely wouldn’t help.
But that silly spark of hope, lingering somewhere in the back of your mind like a persistent little virus made you act a fool.
“Okay then,” you replied. “So, in which context do you want to get to know me instead?”
“We could go bowling. Or how about go-karts?”
“You want to go karting? For a first date? How well can you get to know me if we’re sitting in separate karts, unable to actually talk?”
He shrugged. “Well, I’d be able to see how dirty you’re willing to play to win. I think that says a lot about someone’s personality.”
“Oh?” You chuckled. “So I take it you’re a goody-two-shoes that likes to play fair?”
He grinned. “Of course.”
It turned out that Haknyeon was, in fact, not a goody-two-shoes at all. He played to win and he’d find a way to get there. Surprising, for a cop, you thought. Then again, maybe you had to be a little cunning if you wanted to excel at undercover work. (But how excellent could he be, if you had him exposed the second he’d walked in?)
“Wanna go again?” Haknyeon asked with a laugh as he slipped his helmet off after another round of mercilessly beating you.
“You really want to destroy all my confidence, huh?”
“Sorry,” he gave you an apologetic smile. “I’ll let you win this time?”
“Oh, don’t you dare, I don’t want your pity.”
He stepped a little closer, helmet under his arm. “Wanna call it a day then and have some drinks instead? My treat.”
You weren’t one to say no to a free drink, even less so when he let you choose the location. So, a little later you found yourself sitting next to him at a table in your favorite café. It felt so much like a regular date, that you almost forgot your whole undercover cop theory. He didn’t talk about the bar or your boss—he seemed to really be there for you, intrigued by the person you were outside of your job. With every second you spent together, the hope that this was something real grew stronger until it was all you could think about. He asked if he could see you home later that evening and you didn’t stop to consider whether it was smart or not to let him know where you lived, because you were too focused on the prospect of being with him for just a little longer, another minute, another hour, maybe even the night. If he’d asked, you would have invited him in for a coffee or a snack or a movie or any other excuse he could have possibly come up with. But he didn’t ask. He gave you a bright smile when he said goodbye, telling you that he’d been happy to spend the day with you. His hands briefly brushed against yours. They felt warm. You wanted to hold on but neither of you did. You pulled away to fumble for your keys. Haknyeon waited until you’d unlocked the door and got inside before leaving. You tried not to feel disappointed as you watched him walk down the street from the window in your apartment.
“We’re going to close up,” you said as you were already wiping down the counter, while Haknyeon was still sitting right there, watching you.
“Yeah, I’ll wait,” he said simply. It wouldn’t be the first time that he’d stayed until your shift was over to walk you home. But today was different. You’d seen the little red cross in your boss’ calendar. They would come today. And while you understood that it was probably the kind of opportunity Haknyeon was waiting for and maybe even the only reason he always stayed behind and saw you home, you also knew that you’d get in trouble if you didn’t manage to kick him out on time.
“Don’t worry, you can go home first.”
He tilted his head. “You know that I don’t mind waiting for you.”
“No,” you insisted with a little more force this time. “Not today.”
He seemed to understand, to some extent, that him sticking around would cause problems for you. “I’ll wait outside then, around the corner?” He proposed. “Is that okay?”
You contemplated for a second but then you nodded. Even if it wasn’t anything to him, you liked walking home together. He gave you a happy smile and then left. Soon after, the door opened again, the little bell above it ringing into the silence of the bar. The two men had shown up just the way you’d known they would.
“Whiskey on ice,” the one who you thought was called Sunwoo said instead of a greeting, his expression cold and intimidating.
“Of course,” you nodded and got the bottle out, while the other of the two—Jacob?—nudged him in the side.
“No need to be so grim to someone who has nothing to do with this, hm?” He said, almost teasingly, before turning to you with an apologetic smile. “Make that two.”
It didn’t take long for your boss to come out and you were excused as soon as you’d gotten their drinks. You almost felt a little guilty as you made your way down the street to the corner where Haknyeon was waiting. He greeted you with a smile and a wave as if nothing happened.
“So, who are they?” He asked, probably thinking he was sounding all casual.
“Hm?” you feigned ignorance. “Who?”
“The two men that came in.”
“You saw them?”
“Well, they basically came in the second I was out. Why weren’t they asked to go?”
You didn’t know what to tell him. You didn’t know any details, but it also wasn’t like you knew nothing. There were their names, and the black briefcase they brought. But what if the moment you told Haknyeon he would drop you like a hot potato? What if the moment you’d give him the information you had you would lose all value to him? And then you’d be left with nothing.
“Just old friends of my boss,” you replied vaguely. The generous tip you’d received before leaving felt impossibly heavy in your pocket.
“Hm,” Haknyeon nodded slowly, thoughtfully, as if he didn’t quite believe that that was all. But then his sweet, sweet smile was back. “I see.”
It got quiet between the two of you, and with the silence your fear of losing him got impossibly louder. It didn’t matter that you never even had him in the first place.
The back of his hand brushed against yours, a faint accidental touch. “Sorry,” he said with a light chuckle. But you weren’t a coward this time, though maybe rather than bravery it was desperation that made you act. You grabbed his hand, intertwining your fingers with his. His skin felt chapped around his knuckles, but it was as warm as you remembered it to be.
“It’s okay,” you replied and your voice came out weaker than anticipated, afraid that he would pull away. But instead he squeezed your hand with a happy little hum, before slipping your intertwined fingers into the pocket of his coat. He held on tightly, his thumb drawing slow patterns onto your skin.
When the two of you reached your apartment, you lingered for a moment. Neither of you said anything and yet neither of you showed any intention to let go either. Somehow it felt so scary to part, as if this fragile thing you hoped existed between the two of you would break if you said goodbye for the night. So you didn’t.
“You can come up,” you said without meeting his gaze. “If you want.”
He hesitated for a second, searching for eye contact. “Are you sure?”
“I’m sure.”
Another beat passed and you thought this would be it, he would draw the line and leave.
“Okay,” he whispered.
He followed you upstairs and waited patiently until you’d unlocked the door to your apartment. Then, for a moment, you both stood in silence in your dark hallway. You didn’t turn on the light. You just looked at him through the darkness, the faint light coming in from the windows reflecting in his eyes. You moved a little closer, your gaze dropping to his lips before coming up again. Your heart was racing in your chest, nervous about his next move, anxious he would back out. He stepped in too, until his breath was tangible on your skin but he didn’t close the remaining distance just yet. There was a tension in his jaw as he examined your face, as if he was holding himself back.
“Are you sure?” he asked again.
“I’m sure,” your voice was soaked with impatience, sounding almost forceful.
He looked at you for another long second. But then his hand came up to lift your chin and he finally kissed you, crushing into you as if he’d been hungry for this, for you. When he pulled away you were breathless, shaky hands clinging to the fabric of his shirt.
“I’ve been wanting to do this for a while,” he mumbled into your lips.
“Me too. And I still want to do it more.”
He chuckled and there was a mischievous twinkle in his eyes that you found unbearably attractive. “Not satisfied yet, huh?” He licked his lips. “I like that.”
“Fuck,” you hissed without even meaning to, and it just drew another little laugh from him.
You stumbled backwards through the hallway, one of your hands feeling for the handle of your bedroom door while the other one was still holding onto Haknyeon, pulling him along with you. As soon as you’d managed to press down the handle, Haknyeon reached up above you and pushed the door open, too impatient to wait for you to open the door. You almost tripped over backwards with the door suddenly moving behind you, but his arm quickly came around your waist to steady you and pull you against him.
“Careful there,” he whispered before his lips captured yours again. His fingers sneaked underneath the hem of your shirt, a tight grip on soft skin. “Can’t have you getting hurt.”
He walked you backwards until your legs hit your bed and then he carefully lowered you onto the mattress, hands on your lower back keeping you from falling. The moment your back hit the soft mattress he followed suit, hovering above you, his arms propped up on either side of your head. Neither of you made a move, just taking a moment to really look at each other. His eyes were dark and pretty and his lips looked plush and so very kissable.
“You’re beautiful,” you whispered without thinking, only realizing that maybe he would have preferred handsome after the words were already out.
But Haknyeon just smiled, crinkles forming in the corners of his eyes. “Funny, I was going to say the same thing.”
He brushed a strand of hair out of your face and then he kissed you again and again, lips slowly wandering down to your neck. His hands wandered back to your hips, pushing up your shirt and you automatically raised your arms to help him slip it off. He made quick work of your bra after that, and you would have thought you’d feel exposed, but his warm hands made you feel safe instead. You realized then, that you were in too deep. The way he touched you and the way he looked at you made your chest feel so full and there was no doubt in your heart that you were in love with him, even if it was all just a game on his part.
“Hak?”
“Mhm?” He looked up at you with curious eyes.
“You won’t leave me behind, will you?” you whispered, knowing all too well that there was no way you could trust his answer. After all, you couldn’t even trust that the name you called him was really his. Still, even if it all meant nothing, at least for tonight you wanted to indulge in the delusions that this was something real. “You won’t let go, right?”
His grip on you tightened, as if to prove that he wouldn’t. “Never,” he replied and his eyes looked so genuine that you almost believed him. “I won’t.”
The delusions didn’t last you very long—in fact, they left with the first rays of the morning sun.
“I'm—maybe I'm not who you think I am,” Haknyeon started tentatively, mumbling the words into the back of your neck as if he didn’t have the bravery to say them to your face. You’d hoped this conversation wouldn’t come this early. Maybe he felt guilty, now that he’d slept with you. Maybe he’d realized he’d taken it too far and wanted to call it off. His arm stayed wrapped around you though, and you tried to find some reassurance in that.
“It's okay, Hak,” you whispered.
He paused, seemingly unsure what to make of your response. “What do you mean?”
A lump was in your throat and it felt hard to speak. You were scared, you realized. “I had my suspicions from the moment you walked in,” you pressed out, trying to make it sound light and casual as if it wasn’t a big deal, as if you weren’t anxious he’d throw you away after using you. “Did you really think you were being subtle? You can't come to a place like that looking so proper."
“Oh.” He huffed a laugh. "Didn't play my role that well, did I?"
“No. I don’t think my boss has any suspicions though.”
“I mean, that’s good to hear. But I’m not really worried about your boss right now, to be honest.”
“What are you worried about then?”
He shifted behind you, propping himself up on his other arm, to be able to look at you.
“You.”
“I wouldn’t tell anyone.”
He almost seemed offended, you could think that. “I didn’t think you were.”
“Then what?” You frowned.
“I’m worried about what you’re thinking now. About me, about the situation.”
“It’s not like I can change it,” you replied, unable to meet his gaze. “And it’s my fault too. I knew you were just getting close to me for the information, but I still let you in.”
“I didn’t just—It’s more complicated than that,” he protested.
“How so?”
“Because—,” he hesitated for a second, his eyes searching your face for something, but then he still continued despite not finding it. “Because I actually like you, y/n. I’m serious about you and about all the things I said yesterday."
You just stared at him wide eyed, unable to register his words.
“I know it’s hard to trust me under these circumstances. And I—I can’t tell you everything, not even now. But I can tell you the most important truth: I like you.”
“For real?” You’d been hoping for this kind of outcome the whole time, but now that it seemed to be true it felt hard to grasp. “Even without everything that’s been going on?”
He smiled. “Especially without everything that’s been going on. And definitely still after it’s all resolved.”
“Let’s resolve it quickly, then,” you said with your voice trembling, before you turned to wrap your arms around him and snuggle into his chest. “I want it to be over quickly.”
He let himself fall back into the pillows and pulled you on top of him. “Yeah, me too.”
“Hak?” you mumbled a few days later, all cuddled up on your couch together.
“Mhm?” he hummed, the low sound vibrating in his chest.
“It’s not your real name, is it? Haknyeon I mean—it’s fake, right?”
“Why are you asking? You want to call me by my real name?”
“Is that so weird?”
“No, it’s not weird at all. But I like it when you call me Hak.”
You propped yourself up to look at him. “Do you?”
“I do.” He smiled, his hand coming up to brush a strand of hair out of your forehead. “It feels special because you’re the only one who calls me like that. It feels like a nickname just between us.”
You felt like melting at his words, but there was also this odd feeling that maybe he was just saying this because he didn't want to tell you the truth. “So, you won’t tell me?”
“No, I can,” he whispered, lifting his head to leave a peck on your lips. “I can easily tell you.” He kissed you again.
“So?”
“It’s He Nian.”
“That’s pretty.”
“Mhm,” he hummed, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck. “My dad chose it for me.”
He said it casually, as if it wasn’t anything special, but to you it felt big. It was the first time he’d mentioned his family at all and it made your chest fill with warmth. Surely, this once again proved that he trusted you, right? That he was opening up to you.
Since Haknyeon had decided to trust you with his identity, you decided to trust him too. He wouldn’t leave you, even when he no longer needed you to get to your boss, so there was no real reason anymore not to spill everything. You told him what you knew, and even though the information was rather limited, it seemed to be helpful. And more than that, there seemed to be other ways in which you could be helpful to the operation.
“We need his books,” Haknyeon admitted to you, when you were sitting on your couch together, cuddled up and wrapped in a fuzzy blanket.
“His books?”
“Yeah. We can easily get the official ones, but there has to be more, there have to be books with the actual money transfers.”
“And that’s where I come in?”
He seemed uncomfortable with the blunt question. “To be honest, I would prefer to keep you out of it. But we’re out of options. Once we get a warrant his connections are sure to tell him. He would know beforehand and get rid of all traces. But without those books it will be very hard to catch him.”
“So now…you want me to steal it?”
“Not exactly—rather than that it’d be making sure they don’t disappear?”
“I—I don’t know,” you admitted. You wanted to help but you had no clue how you could possibly make that work out.
“It’s okay,” Haknyeon quickly reassured. “Don’t feel pressured. If you want, you can also meet up with the team first, hear the plan, and decide then?”
You nodded slowly, trying to think about it realistically. Maybe that was a good idea. You could still back out if it seemed too dangerous.
Meeting his team was intimidating. Somehow it all felt so serious and of course you knew it was, you’d known it from the first time you’d seen Jacob and Sunwoo set foot into the bar. But now that you really saw that special agents and all that were involved, now that you had proof that Haknyeon had indeed come to the bar to investigate, it felt a lot more scary. He seemed to feel your nerves as you stood in front of the door to the meeting room.
“You’re not the criminal here, you know that right?” He said with an encouraging grin, gently squeezing your hand.
“Sorry, I know, it’s just—I was never involved with the police before, it’s scary.”
“Well, we’re not exactly the police—”
“That’s not helping!” You playfully boxed him into the shoulder and he yelped dramatically, acting as if it had actually hurt.
“I wasn’t aware it was bring-your-lover-to-work-day,” someone suddenly commented and your head snapped around to the tall man standing behind you with a raised eyebrow.
“Don’t be like that, Hyunjae,” Haknyeon complained but there didn’t seem to be any bad blood between them.
“I mean, I don’t care, but maybe tone it down a little once we’re inside. I don’t think everyone will like it if you involve personal matters.”
The words did nothing to make you feel better about the situation, but Haknyeon didn’t seem all that worried about it.
“Yes, yes,” he easily agreed as if the comment went in one ear and out the other. “Let’s just go in for now, I don’t want to get a penalty for being late.”
When you stepped inside there were already a bunch of agents there, but when a guy called Eric complained about you being late, Haknyeon simply brushed it off, saying it hadn’t even been 5 minutes yet.
“He’s right,” one of them agreed, before adding with a grin, “and Joe and Younghoon aren’t here yet anyway, so they’ll have to pay the penalty.” You didn’t need to be introduced to realize that the guy speaking must have been the boss among these guys; there was just a certain aura to him that made it very clear. He introduced himself anyway, the firm handshake and the title senior agent before his name—Lee Sangyeon—proving your suspicions to be right.
Despite not everyone being there, you all sat down and he gave a brief overview of the plan, leaving out enough details in case you decided to back out but telling you enough so you could understand what was asked of you. Honestly, the way he explained it didn’t make it sound all that hard. All you were supposed to do was keep an eye on the safe in your boss’ back office shortly before the raid and give a signal should he try to get rid of any evidence. It seemed doable and also not that risky, since someone would come to get you out the second you gave a sign.
“You don’t have to agree this easily,” Haknyeon assured when you shared your thoughts on it, “you can take your time to think it through.”
“No, it’s fine. If this helps resolve everything more quickly I’m willing to do it.”
Sangyeon smiled satisfiedly. “Perfect. We’ll fill you in on more details shortly before the raid—the less you know for now the better for both of us.”
Just then the door to the meeting room opened and a tall man came in, briefly apologizing for being late. After him followed another one and the second his gaze met yours you felt the blood freezing in your veins. Instinctively you reached for Haknyeon’s hand under the table, trying to find some sense of security in it. The guy who’d stepped in looked very different now, put together and upright in his ironed white shirt, but there was no mistaking it—he was one of the guys from the bar: Sunwoo.
Your stomach felt sick with fear but no one else seemed to share the sentiment, casually welcoming him in.
“You’ll never learn to be on time, will you, Joe?” Hyunjae asked with a small laugh and Sunwoo—Joe—just shrugged and plopped into one of the chairs.
Your grip on Haknyeon’s hand tightened and he threw you a small worried glance before clearing his throat.
“Since the basics are all clear now, I think it’s time for y/n to leave—can’t have her be late to work and get fired this close to D-Day, right?”
“Oh, sure,” Sangyeon dismissed you easily and only a few seconds later you were in the hallway, almost running down to the elevator.
“What’s gotten into you?” Haknyeon asked, trying to keep up.
You only replied once the elevator door had shut behind the two of you, safe from any nosy ears.
“Joe,” you pressed out, “He’s not—I’ve seen him before. He’s been at the bar.”
He seemed confused. “And?”
“No, Hak, he’s been at the bar.” Why didn’t he get it? “He isn’t who you think he is.”
Things finally seemed to click into place, but instead of sharing your panic, Hakyneon just smiled. “Ah, got it. You mean he’s Sunwoo.”
You stared at your boyfriend in horror. “You know?”
“Of course, I know. Y/n, he’s undercover.”
“Like you?” Something didn’t seem to add up but you couldn’t place it.
“Like me. But don’t tell anyone, not everyone here is in the know. Can’t ever be too careful with whom to trust, right?”
You tried to push the uneasy feeling in your guts aside. “But I can trust you, right?” You looked him straight in the eyes, trying to find a hint of something, anything in them. He didn’t shy away from your gaze.
“Of course.” He squeezed your hand. “I’m on your side.”
Only two weeks later you were back at their office, getting a run down of all the details you needed to know about the operation. The raid was supposed to take place a few days from now, but they suspected that your boss would probably get a tip before that and try to rid himself of any evidence. And that’s where you came in—you were supposed to keep your eyes open during work hours and report back if there was anything suspicious. They had some men tailing him too, but with how your boss was on high alert these days it would be too risky to have someone shadow him from inside the bar. Even Haknyeon wasn’t drinking at the counter anymore these days, only coming by to pick you up after work and see you home like the doting boyfriend he was. The whole plan seemed to be easy enough though and you didn’t feel too worried knowing that Haknyeon’s team would be ready to come in the second you gave a sign.
Since your boyfriend was on duty to check equipment after the meeting, Younghoon was supposed to drive you home instead. Haknyeon didn’t seem exactly pleased about it and you were reminded of what he’d said last time, can’t ever be too careful with whom to trust, right? Younghoon, you supposed, was not among those he trusted. Sangyeon decided on it though, and Haknyeon didn’t refute him.
You were already on your way to the parking garage, when you realized you’d forgotten your scarf back in the meeting room. Younghoon waited by the elevator while you rushed back. Surprisingly, the door was slightly ajar. Just when you were about to push it open, you heard voices from inside and instinctively moved aside so you wouldn’t be seen.
“This will all work out, right?” Eric asked. So even he got nervous, it seemed. Then again, their part in all of this was surely a lot more nerve wracking than yours.
“What are you so worried for?” It was your boyfriend’s voice. “Didn’t we already win?”
“Exactly,” a low chuckle, “After all we have Haknyeon on our side. He plays the nastiest of all.”
“Sunwoo knows what’s up.” When you risked a glance through the crack of the door, Haknyeon was grinning self-satisfied and there was a slyness in his expression that you’d only ever seen faint traces of. It made a shudder run down your spine, but inexplicably, you also found yourself being attracted to this version of him. You lingered for another second, spotting your scarf right there over the back of the chair you’d sat in, but you couldn’t bring yourself to go in. It felt like you’d heard something you weren’t supposed to hear. Something wasn’t quite right. You rushed back down the hallway to where Younghoon was waiting, confused when you showed up without your scarf. Once you were in the car, you pulled out your phone to find a message from Haknyeon. It was a picture of him, holding up your scarf into the camera. He looked so lovely and innocent and it made you want to forget all about the weird feelings from before.
guess what you forgot~ i’ll bring it over tonight<3
You were able to distract yourself from the conversation you'd overheard just fine during work, all your focus on your boss’ behavior, looking out for anything suspicious (there wasn’t anything, unless his awful aloha shirt counted as suspicious). But once your work shift was over and you saw Haknyeon waiting for you outside, your mind automatically wandered back to it. He greeted you by looping your scarf around your neck and pulling you into a kiss and it was so sweet and so romantic, and yet you couldn’t relax into it at all.
“Hey,” he said with a smile, not letting you go just yet.
“Hey,” you replied, unable to meet his eyes.
“What’s wrong?”
“I’m just tired, let’s get going?”
He didn’t seem convinced, but he reluctantly agreed, leaving a peck on your nose before taking you to his car and driving the two of you back to your place. As always, you realized, because not once had he offered to go to his place. When you'd asked about it before he'd said it was too dangerous and it would have to wait until things were over. You'd believed it then, but now you were feeling uneasy.
When you still hadn’t gotten more talkative even by the time you were cleaning up after dinner, Haknyeon tried asking about it again. “Something is wrong, isn’t it?”
You contemplated for a second, watched him take off the rubber gloves and drain the sink after doing the dishes, but then you decided to just be honest. “I heard you.”
“Hm?” He tilted his head in confusion.
“Earlier at the office, I was going to grab my scarf, but you were talking.”
“Why didn’t you come in?” A small grin appeared on his lips. “Or did you perhaps want me to get the scarf for you? Like Cinderella’s slipper?”
Either he really didn’t think of the conversation as something worth hiding, or he was damn good at pretending. You hoped for the former.
“It didn’t feel like I should. You—you said Joe’s undercover, right?”
“Right.”
“Like you?”
A small crinkle appeared between his eyebrows. “What are you getting at?”
“You called him Sunwoo earlier. And he called you Haknyeon—isn’t that weird?”
His features softened. “It’s not weird at all, y/n. We prepared our identities together for months, and sometimes it messes with your head a bit. It’s nothing to worry about, it’s just names.”
“Then why did you ask me who the two men were that night at the bar? You already knew one of them was Joe, so why did you ask me?”
Haknyeon drew in a sharp breath and scrunched up his face. He looked apologetic, but still not like he’d been caught doing something bad. “Promise you won’t be mad?”
“Tell me first, I’ll make up my mind after.”
“I know it’s not good, but I had to find out how much you knew. I couldn’t be sure yet to what extent your boss was telling you things and to what extent you might even be involved. I just had to make sure.”
You stared at him for a second. “You thought I was involved in his schemes?”
“Listen, there’s many reasons to get into shady business. I wouldn’t judge. But I needed to know.”
“Was that what you were hoping for when you got close to me? That I’d be involved? That I’d be a big fish?” Your voice sounded bitter and your features were harsh, but Haknyeon stepped a little closer, smoothing out your frown with soft hands.
“Don’t be silly, love. I wouldn’t care either way. It was never about catching a big fish. I just wanted to know how far I’d have to go to protect you.”
“Are you saying you would have gotten rid of evidence for me if I had been involved?”
“Yes. I would have. I'd keep you safe no matter what.” There wasn’t even a second of hesitation and his eyes on you were so open and honest, it was hard to hold his gaze. He was willing to go to such lengths for you, risk it all for you, and yet you’d doubted him over a silly little conversation you’d overheard. You leaned up to kiss him then, because what were you supposed to say to that other than I love you, but that seemed to be a little too much, even now.
“Better not tell your team leader, though,” you teased, getting a chuckle out of him.
“Oh, I’m sure Sangyeon would understand.”
When you leaned in again you felt Haknyeon smiling into the kiss and into every kiss that followed that night.
It wasn’t until the day of the raid that your boss started acting weird. He seemed nervous, sweating heavily and telling you to close up and leave early even though it was barely evening. You were certain he’d been warned.
“Are you sure I can go?” you asked, just a guise to peek your head into his office and see what he was up to. You’d already alerted Sangyeon and you knew it was only a matter of minutes until they’d be here, but you wanted to do your job right and ensure the safety of the books until they arrived.
Your boss’ head shot up at your words, as if he’d been caught doing something forbidden. And from the look of it he was; a folder of papers in one and a lighter in the other hand. You knew it had to be the information Haknyeon and his team were after. Without thinking you rushed in, grabbing the papers, and your boss, perplexed as he was, let you take them.
“What the fuck, y/n?” He hissed, angry veins pulsing on his forehead.
“You were about to cause a fire, Sir,” you pressed out. A weak excuse.
“And that is none of your business. Now, give those back, will you?”
You took a step back, your knuckles turning white from how tightly you held on.
“Y/n,” he opened a drawer in his desk and you had a feeling what he was going to pull out, “don’t make me repeat myself.”
You’d never stared into the barrel of a gun before, and you felt that it was an experience you would have rather missed. Still, you didn’t let go. If you did, it would have all been for nothing, right? And surely the others would be here any second—
“Y/n,” your boss repeated and the tone in his voice made your blood freeze. He walked around the desk in your direction and you stumbled back, wondering if you were really going to die like this. It didn’t feel like the right way to go, it wasn’t supposed to be like this. This wasn’t even your mess to begin with. You squeezed your eyes shut as he stepped closer, trying to come up with a prayer to recite, but you’d never been religious and you didn’t know what to tell god now at the brink of death, except for I don’t want to die.
Suddenly, you heard the front door of the bar flying open and just a second later someone was behind you, pulling you aside before pushing past you, gun raised. Haknyeon.
“You mind putting that down?” He said with that cocky tone of his but your boss didn’t seem particularly impressed. He aimed at Haknyeon now, and you wanted to jump in to protect him but someone was holding you back. You closed your eyes and covered your ears, but you still heard the shot echoing through the bar. Tears were already brimming at your eyes when you blinked them open again, just to find Haknyeon standing above your boss, who was pressing his hands onto a bleeding wound on his thigh, gun somewhere on the floor, out of reach.
“Listen,” Haknyeon said with disdain, “I told you to put that away. But you wouldn’t listen and now we have this whole mess here and even have to call an ambulance for you. Couldn’t you have made things a little easier for us?”
“Fuck you,” your boss spat.
“Very articulate.” Haknyeon put his gun back into the holster strapped around his chest, Joe pointing his weapon at him instead while Hyunjae got his handcuffs out to arrest him. The arms holding onto you eased up too since you weren’t in danger of jumping in front of a bullet anymore, and only now you realized they’d belonged to Eric. He held up his hands in surrender when Haknyeon came back over to you, almost as if to say I didn’t touch her. But your boyfriend didn’t really have any eyes for him.
“Are you okay?” He asked softly, cupping your face to look at you. When he’d made sure there wasn’t a single scratch on you he pulled you into his chest. “You did so well,” he whispered into your hair. “It’s all over now.”
Eventually he had to let go again to do his job and secure the evidence from the office together with Joe, and you were left to stand at the side like a lost puppy. Your boss had already been dragged out and was currently receiving first aid from the medics that had arrived by now. You were still holding onto his papers, almost as if they’d become one with your fingers at this point.
“You can give these to me,” Younghoon commented, holding out his hand. You hesitated, unsure if you could trust him with this. It was important evidence after all, and if Haknyeon didn’t have faith in him, how could you?
“Don’t worry, I’ll take it from here,” Sangyeon suddenly interrupted, taking the papers from you instead. You knew there wasn’t any room for discussion since he was the team leader, so you let go.
It didn’t take much longer for things to wrap up after that. The most important evidence was secured and your boss had been escorted to the police station or the hospital or wherever else by Eric. The rest of Haknyeon’s team seemed to be getting ready to go, leaving the bar to some other officers and the crime scene cleaners. You were lost to wonder if you were allowed to just go home after everything that happened. You didn’t have to ponder for long though because suddenly Younghoon was nodding over to you as he spoke to one of his colleagues.
“Take her too, Changmin, I’m sure she can still help with the one or the other information on all of this.”
The guy, Changmin, walked over to you, handcuffs dangling from his belt. You knew they were the good guys, but you felt your guts churning with fear. It sounded like they were suspecting you, even after you’d put yourself in danger to support them. Instinctively, you glanced over to Haknyeon, maybe for help or maybe just for assurance that nothing was going to happen. He met your gaze with a nod, a small sign not to worry.
“I’ll take her,” he said, stepping in front of you before Changmin could reach you. You let out a sigh of relief.
Younghoon looked at Haknyeon with a frown, clearly not very fond of that plan. You could understand that—surely everyone was aware of the relationship Haknyeon and you had gotten into and of course that would impact Haknyeon’s impartiality. Just when Younghoon opened his mouth to object, Sangyeon put a hand on the tall man’s shoulder.
“It’s fine,” he said. “Let him take her. I’m sure she’ll be more willing to talk to us if she isn’t frightened on the whole ride.”
No one seemed to dare to disagree so Haknyeon led you to his car, his hand at the small of your back. He nodded when the two of you walked past his boss, whispering a quick “Thanks, Sang.” It was just a small interaction, but there was no doubt in your mind that these two must’ve been close. There was this sense of absolute trust between them, that Haknyeon didn’t seem to share with too many of his colleagues.
He opened the passenger door of his black company car for you and even went as far as to buckle you up, before he did the same for himself and started the motor, following behind two other cars that Younghoon, Changmin, Hyunjae and some other of their colleagues had gotten into. As you stared through the windshield, all you could think of was what would happen once you’d arrived. Landing in some dark interrogation room and being bombarded with a zillion questions you didn’t know the answer to was a frightening concept. Of course Haknyeon was with you now, but surely, as your boyfriend, he wouldn't be allowed to stick around for questioning.
Haknyeon seemed to notice that you were feeling tense, glancing over to you with an encouraging smile. “You have nothing to worry about. I won’t leave you alone,” he said, taking one of his hands off the steering wheel to find your thigh, giving it a light squeeze. The touch felt intimate and warm and it helped in making you feel a little more grounded; at least until you realized that you weren’t following the cars ahead anymore. Instead Haknyeon took the exit to the freeway, speeding up the moment you’d left the smaller road behind.
“Hak, where are we going?”
“Don’t worry,” he said instead of answering your question. “Do you want to listen to some music? We can turn on the radio.”
“Hak,” you repeated with more force. “Where the fuck are we going?”
Through the side mirror, you spotted Sangyeon’s black car behind you, Joe in the passenger seat. But the cars that had been ahead of you, were now nowhere to be seen.
“It’s all good, I promise. Just trust me.”
“If all is good then why aren’t you telling me?”
He sighed, a frown on his face as he stared out the windshield and contemplated what to tell you. “You know how I said that I couldn’t tell you the whole truth?”
You swallowed around the lump in your throat. “I remember.”
“Maybe I wasn’t exactly undercover in the way you thought I was.”
You thought you’d already come to that conclusion, somewhere in the back of your mind. “So, you’re not a cop.” It wasn’t a question.
“No.”
“What are you then? Who are you?”
“You know Jacob? He–uh–he’s my boss?”
“Oh fuck,” you breathed out, not because you were surprised, but because hearing it out loud made it so much worse, and really, what else was there to say except fuck? You’d always known Haknyeon was hiding things, but you’d wanted to believe it was because of his duty as a special agent, not because he was affiliated with some mafia type bullshit. You’d slept with him, thinking he was a good person. Even worse, you’d fallen in love with him. And now you weren’t sure if any of that still mattered, if any of the things between him and you held any meaning.
“Can you pull over?” You sounded like you were going to cry. You probably were.
“Not yet. We need to be sure first.”
“Sure of what?”
“That they aren’t tracking us down.”
“Oh, god.”
"I know, I know. But I can't let them have you."
"Hak, you do realize they are the good guys and I didn't do anything wrong, right? Well, not until now, I guess."
"Good guys? Yeah, sure, I guess so."
"What do you mean?"
"They aren’t your friendly neighborhood cops, y/n, though I'm sure there is enough to be said about those too. Anyway the point is they are willing to do whatever it takes to get what they want. The end justifies the means and all that."
"Oh, you mean they are like you?"
"Sure, if you want to draw that comparison. But I would never hurt you."
You couldn’t help but scoff at that. "You already did."
"Y/n, I—"
But you didn’t want to hear what excuse he was going to make. "So, what do they want?"
"After today? Probably us; me, you, Sangyeon, Sunwoo. And Youngjae, once he's done with your boss." You didn’t bother asking who Youngjae was.
"So all of this was just a plot to get him?"
"Look, he's been a real pain in the ass for a while now. And he had some crucial information that we couldn’t just let anyone have. It was also a good chance to get rid of some other data they’ve collected on us."
“Was that all that ever mattered through all of this? Getting my boss, getting the information…” You didn’t like how frail your voice sounded. “Was everything bullshit on your part? Was I just a game to you?”
“No!” His head snapped around to you. “It was never a game. I swear my job was the only detail that I lied about.”
“That’s hardly just a detail, Haknyeon,” you scoffed. Your gaze fell onto the side mirror once more, watching the car behind you to keep your eyes from wandering to the man beside you. “What about them? So they are the same?”
“Sangyeon and Sunwoo? Yeah.”
“Of course,” you let out a huff, “there was no way his name was actually Joe. I fucking knew it.”
Haknyeon chuckled. “He doesn’t look like a Joe.”
“Don’t laugh. This is not a funny situation. I’m watching my life crumble before my eyes right now. You lied to me about everything. I don’t even know—What about your name? Haknyeon, He Nian—was that all bullshit too? Is either of them even your real name?”
The little smile on his face looked soft, unfitting for the reality you were finding yourselves in. “Both of them are, in a way. I didn’t want you calling me by a name that wasn’t mine.”
“So, I guess you were at least honest about one thing, huh?” You sounded bitter.
“I was honest about most things, you just keep pointing out the other bits.”
“Because those are the ones that matter.” You didn’t know what to believe anymore. There was a feeling of unbearable hurt and anger bubbling inside of you, the betrayal stabbing you like a knife, and yet a part of you wanted to hold on, cling onto the little hope that despite everything you could have faith in him. “You said I can trust you. That you’re on my side.”
“I am on your side.”
“How can you say that? I’m a rat in your trap and you expect me to trust you of all people to get me out?”
“It’s not like that—”
“Haknyeon, for all I know we’re running from the cops right now!”
He forced a laugh. “Yeah, that looks pretty bad.”
“Pretty bad?!”
“But, in my defense, I did say that I couldn’t tell you the whole truth yet.”
“Well, I didn’t think the truth was this.”
“I—,” he started, but his voice broke, cutting him off. You knew he was a good liar, but when you glanced over and saw tears brimming in his eyes you didn’t think this was merely an act. “You made me promise not to let you go,” he pressed out, “so was I just supposed to break that promise then?”
“How can that still count—I didn’t even know anything. If I had known I wouldn’t have—” You didn’t finish the sentence, unsure if you meant what you were going to say.
Haknyeon stared at the road ahead, a bitter smile on his lips. “Maybe I should have asked you instead, if you were going to leave me behind.”
He sounded so genuinely hurt and it just felt unfair, because clearly all of this was his fault. You shouldn’t have to deal with this kind of mess. “Don’t do this,” you choked out, your voice quivering. “Don’t push the guilt onto me.”
His grip around the steering wheel tightened, turning his knuckles white. It was clear that he hated all of this as much as you did, even if he was to blame. Maybe because he was to blame.
“I know,” he said, “I know that it’s my fault, I know it was selfish to get close to you. I shouldn’t have approached you in the first place. It’s just—I hoped it wouldn’t matter.”
“How could it not? How could you think I’d be okay with any of this, how could you be so delusional?”
“Because I love you,” He briefly glanced at you, eyes oh, so desperate, before turning back to the road, “I love you and I hoped you feel the same. But maybe I—”
“Stop it,” you interrupted, your voice weak and tired, “I can’t talk about this anymore. Just let me breathe for a moment.”
He pressed his lips shut and he didn’t try to say anything else for the rest of the ride. You didn’t say anything either. Instead, you just watched the scenery pass by in silence, too scared to look at him, too scared to feel empathy for him when all you wanted to feel was anger.
You weren’t sure for how long you drove and you didn’t care either, but by the time Haknyeon pulled into a driveway it was the middle of the night. He stopped the motor, and with the headlights off it was pitch black outside, only a brief flash of light crossing Haknyeon’s features when the other car pulled into the lot as well. Sangyeon and Sunwoo got out and Haknyeon gestured for them to go on ahead when they passed his window.
“We’re here,” he said without looking at you.
You wanted to tell him that you didn’t know what here meant, but you also couldn’t find it in you to bother.
“So, what now?”
“We’ll find you a place to sleep,” he said, “and then as soon as we have the confirmation that it’s safe, you can go home.”
“I can go home?” You looked at him in surprise. Obviously that was good news, but in your head you’d already accepted the dire fate of never being able to go back again—though, you weren’t sure how dire it really was, since there wasn’t anything or anyone waiting for you anyway.
“I made sure you’d be able to. I’ve changed the name and address in the data they had on you, and since your boss wasn’t doing any proper book keeping and never signed a proper contract with you, it was easy to erase your traces from the bar. So, as soon as we made sure they don’t have anything else leading them back to you, you can go.”
“Oh. Okay.”
“I know you don’t think very highly of me anymore, and I can’t blame you. But I meant it when I said I’d keep you safe no matter what. I would never put you in danger. Even if you don’t want me.”
You felt yourself choke up, overwhelmed with everything that had been said and done today, and unable to really grasp the heaviness of the situation. “Okay,” you pressed out again, trying your best not to cry.
Haknyeon led you into the building. It was mostly dark, but you still heard voices everywhere. Twice you ran into some guys dressed all in black and despite the friendly nod they gave Haknyeon, you found their appearances frightening. You instinctively inched closer to him and when he noticed he put his arm around your shoulders, a small gesture to make you feel safe.
After a while he stopped at a door and pushed it open. You didn’t know what you'd expected but it wasn’t a simple bedroom.
"You can stay here for the night. We'll have to talk to Jacob sometime but it can wait until tomorrow. Just rest first."
You nodded slowly, your eyes wandering through the small bedroom. It didn't look shabby but there wasn’t much aside from a twin size bed, a nightstand and a small table.
"What about you?"
"Me?" He looked surprised. "I have a place upstairs. You can text me if something is the matter, I'll be here in a minute. You can also lock the door if you want." He gestured towards the key that was stuck in the door from the inside. You nodded again and it got quiet, both of you unsure what else to say. The thought of staying here alone frightened you. There were too many people here that you didn’t know and after everything that had happened to you today you felt anxious and restless.
"So, I'll take my leave then?" Haknyeon sounded a little helpless, unable to tell if he should leave you alone or not. Clearly you were tense. But you'd been so angry with him, rightfully so, and he wasn’t sure if his presence could do anything to ease you.
"Sure," you pressed out with a hoarse voice. But when he turned to the door you found yourself holding onto the fabric of his black shirt that was tucked into his pants. "Can I go?"
"I'll get you home as soon as possible but—"
"To your room."
His eyes widened in surprise. "Huh?"
"Can I go upstairs with you?"
"Are you sure?"
"I—I don't really know if I can trust you, but I do believe you when you promise you won’t ever hurt me and that's more than I can say for anyone else in this building." Your grip around the fabric of his shirt tightened. "So can you just make me feel safe tonight?"
His expression visibly softened. "Of course."
Haknyeon had a tiny one room apartment upstairs and even though it was kept rather simple as well you immediately felt a little more relaxed there. Maybe because it smelled like him or because there was one of his hoodies draped over the back of a chair. It was just a bit more homely.
He got out a loose shirt for you to sleep in and you went to the bathroom to change. It was a little silly, he'd long seen everything there was to see, but things were different now. You felt more vulnerable.
"I don't have a couch, though," he mumbled with a small gaze to the bed when you came back out.
"I didn't think there was going to be one."
"Okay," he awkwardly scratched the back of his neck. He seemed a lot shyer now than you'd ever seen him. "You can go to bed first, I'll wash up real quick."
You slipped under the blankets the moment he disappeared in the bathroom. Even after everything, the scent of him made you feel at ease. You must have slipped into a light sleep eventually, because when you opened your eyes again Haknyeon was sitting on the mattress, hair still a little wet from his shower.
"Sorry, did I wake you up?" He whispered. You shook your head.
"Aren’t you going to lay down?" You asked when he still didn’t move from his spot after a few more seconds.
"No, no, I am. Just—You know I mean it when I say I'm really sorry, right?"
"Yeah, I know. I know that but—"
"It's okay," he interrupted. "You don't have to forgive me. It's fine as long as you know."
"Hak—," you started but you didn’t know what to say.
"It's okay," he whispered again as he slipped under the blankets, keeping a small distance between you. It was just a few centimeters, but it felt impossibly far away. You didn’t like it. You were craving his warmth and the feeling of his arms around you.
Of course you hated what he'd done, the secrets, the lies, the manipulation. He'd destroyed the idea you'd had of the two of you and your future together. But did that really mean you couldn’t have him in your future at all? What if you still wanted him to be part of your life despite everything?
“I do love you,” you pressed out without thinking, continuing the conversation you had on the drive here. “I did."
There was a strangled noise coming from him at the correction, but you didn’t dare to meet his gaze to see if he was crying. You were already tearing up, even without looking at him.
"It just feels a little hard to talk about love if I don’t even know you.”
“But you do know me. You know me better than most," he said, "and if there's any chance that you still want me and if my word is still worth anything, I promise I won’t keep secrets from here on out."
"I don't know," you started, your voice breaking and tears spilling out.
The second he saw you crying he pulled you into his arms, and you let him, crumbling into his tight embrace. "It's all your fault," you sobbed into his chest.
"Yeah, I know," he whispered against the crown of your head, his own voice trembling "I'm sorry."
"You destroyed everything."
"I'm sorry."
"But I still want you, even now, I still want to be with you."
His arms around you tightened and you felt the way he let out a shaky breath, as if he'd been choking this whole time and only now finally got some air into his lungs again. "I'll make it up to you. And I won't lie again."
"You better keep your word," you replied, your hands clinging to his back.
"I will." He kissed the crown of your head. "I promise I will."

Tired - Ju Haknyeon
Pairing. Ju Haknyeon x gn!reader
Genre. Fluff | bf!haknyeon taking care of tired reader | established relationship | lots of head kisses | overall fluff
Warnings. None (?), mention of food
Wc. 598
A tired sigh left your lips as you stepped into your shared apartment. Today was a long and exhausting day and all you wanted right now was to drown yourself in your lover's arms.
Speaking of which, Haknyeon's head peeked from the hallway and once he took in your tired apparence, he immediately walked to you and engulfed you into a warm, welcoming hug.
"Tired ?" He asked against your hair, one of his hand soothingly rubbing circles on your back.
You quickly relaxed in his embrace and a sigh of relief escaped your lips.
Too tired to make any coherent sentence you simply hummed in response to his question.
His lips lingered on top of your head for a few moments, planting soft kisses to your crown until he pulled away from the hug, still holding onto your shoulders as your arms lazily hang around his waist. He stared at you with loving eyes and his hand made its way to your face to tuck a foreign strand of hair behind your ear.
"Did you eat ?"
You shook your head no causing a small pout to appear on Haknyeon's lips and you couldn't resist but plant a small peck on them.
"You should" he said
"I don't feel like eating, all i wanna do right now is cuddle and sleep"
His pouty lips quickly turned into a smile at what you said.
"Okay then, go take a shower and join me in bed ?" He asked with a tilt of his head
"Sounds good to me" you smiled back
He pecked your lips one last time before letting you go upstairs to get some fresh clothes and take a warm shower.
After a solid 20 minutes of enjoying the feeling of luke water trickling down your skin and relieving all the stress and exhaustion your body accumulated throughout the day, you decided to step out of the shower and get ready for bed.
As relieving as the shower was, your body was still extremely tired and your eyelids felt heavy. Needless to say, you were totally consumed by exhaustion.
Entering your shared bedroom you saw your boyfriend under the sheets, patiently waiting for you.
He stretched his arms out for you to join him which you immediately did ; slipping under the covers and pressing your tired body against his warm one, your head resting on his chest as his hands came up to burry in your hair almost immediately.
"Feeling better ?" He asked softly
"A little" you answered tightening your arms around his body.
Kissing the top of your head, the both of you let the silence take over the room. The only sound you could hear was his heart beating against his chest and his soft breathing.
"Tell me about your day" his soft voice broke the silence
"It was horrible Hak, i don't wanna ruin the mood" you mumbled
"It's okay just tell me. I wanna hear it"
You laughed quietly and complied, ranting about how annoying your co-worker was being and how a certain customer made a scene about her iced tea being too cold (which seemed to be the funniest thing Haknyeon has heard in a while from how hard he laughed at it)
After some time, you words started to get slurred until you stopped in the middle of your sentence and fell completely silent.
Haknyeon looked down at you only to find you fast asleep on his chest.
With one last kiss to your head, he turned off the bedside lamp, wishing you a goodnight and joined you into dreamland.

head in the game.
SYNOPSIS. basketball. the game is enough to make anyone stay. clean shots, rubber shoes against the court, adrenaline pumping through everyone's veins. but what seemed to spark y/n's attention the most, was not the sport itself, but rather, those who played it. MEMBERS. jacob, hyunjae, juyeon, haknyeon, eric (fem!reader) AUTHOR’S NOTE. heeeeeeeey here’s a tbz college sports au series bcs i’m obsessed with college sports aus. this was originally supposed to be soccer so i could make one for all 11 members but i’m just absolutely too dumb to make 11 consecutive plots for that and all my soccer knowledge went down the drain so these 5 and basketball will have to do. this was also such a spur of the moment thing but i need something to get my mind off of the craziness of life and so i decided on tbz <3 IMPORTANT. all the following stories have nothing to do with each other apart from having similar settings and the like. ultimately, you guys get to decide who you end up with by the end after reading each one!
p.s. might throw in a few references here and there to the other fics in the series but again, ultimately, all 5 fics have nothing to do with each other and don’t clash in any way shape or form.
achilles heel | jacob x not a nurse nurse!reader
SYNOPSIS. as a member assigned to the mobile clinic during the university's sports games, getting players in there isn't really a good thing to see. sure, y/n had her fair share of twisted ankles and cut faces but they were never seen in there again. that is until a certain #30 starts consistently showing up at the clinic in between every basketball game.
shoot your shot | juyeon x broken-hearted!reader
SYNOPSIS. y/n just got out of a breakup and decided to do the stupidest move anyone can do when they just get out of a relationship: go to their older brother for comfort. stupid how? well, it's simple. when all y/n wanted was a daily supply of ice cream and hugs until she got better, she instead got #11 in front of her with a basketball in his hand, ready to teach her how to shoot.
angel’s door | haknyeon x girl next door!reader
SYNOPSIS. y/n thought getting her younger sister a basketball for her birthday would finally shut her up about wanting to learn the sport. and it did, until her parents decided to suggest the brilliant idea of befriending the quote “nice young man next door” to teach her younger sister. lo and behold, this “nice young man next door” just so happens to be #09 on their university's basketball team. and after a while, y/n seems to have gotten pretty used to knocking on his door.
freshie | eric x student manager!reader
SYNOPSIS. another year, more memories with the team. y/n was one of the current student managers of the university's basketball team and has been with the them for 2 years now. she knew how everyone played and she knew each member by heart. except for one. apparently, the guys got a new teammate. and boy, was y/n about to know #22 by heart.

All About You: 김선우
- song: All About You by The Boyz
The Boyz Master List
walking down the hallway, heading to you next class; you spot him. he was the one that you’ve had eyes on since the first day of school; all the way back in high school. now... you’re going to the same college. you told your friends all about him, and they always tried to get his attention on you, but it never really worked out. now being on your own, you just had to wish for the best to happen.
as you walked down the hallway, he looks back as someone calls his name. your eyes meet, and instantly your gaze is to the floor. of course, that just had to happen and now your heart is racing and you don’t know what to do. you had to get to class, but a part of you wanted to say hi to him, and just get it over with.
you looked to the time on your phone, and you had five minutes to get to your next class; stopping and saying hi wasn’t going to be possible. you just kept on your way, going to your class. when you walked in, your eyes scanned the area for an open seat; since this class was one of the more popular ones at this time. which you never understood how calculus was so popular, most people hated math beyond anything.
you made your way to your seat, setting your bag on the floor before sitting down and taking out your laptop. “is this seat taken?” a voice asked, causing you to look up at who it was.
and of course... it was him.
“oh uh- no it isn’t it’s open.” you answered nervously.
he smiled softly and took the opened seat, taking out his laptop as well. “you seem familiar.” he said, breaking the silence between the two of you.
“we actually went to the same high school together, i was always that one that had her friends come up and talk to you.” you laugh nervously, rubbing your arm.
“oh my gosh, i can’t believe i didn’t even recognize you.” he replied.
‘yeah because you being the kim sunwoo, you never looked at me.’ you thought to yourself, “yeah i’ve changed a bit over summer.” you replied, a smile trying to surface.
“man, i’m sorry to say this but what’s your name again?” he asked, in a genuine way but it still stung.
“oh its y/n” you chuckled.
“i’ll remember that for the rest of the year because we are now seatmates for our classes. does that sound good?” sunwoo asked with a proud smile.
you nodded, “that does sound good, i’d like that.” you smiled.
----
after class it was finally lunch, and you were starving. of course you had no idea where to go, and really didn’t have friends to go to lunch with. you looked back to sunwoo, talking to his friends eric, hyunjae, and juyeon. those two were a part of the little group that sunwoo ran around with, and from what it looks like; they all are probably going to this college.
they looked to you, sunwoo smiling at you; making your heart race. you never did think that this would happen, nor would it be happening right now. you smiled back and turned around only to be called by sunwoo himself. you let out a sigh and traced back to sunwoo and his three friends. “y/n; eric, hyunjae, juyeon, and i were all wondering if you wanted to get lunch with us.” sunwoo said.
“um well, depends on where you want to go because i have to get to art history at 1:35.” you replied checking your phone for the time.
“would you like to come to our apartment for lunch? it’s only a five minute walk from here.” sunwoo asked.
you hesitated, “uh no, i think i’ll just find something to eat around campus.” you nervously replied, scared that you sounded rude.
“hey that’s okay, don’t worry about it. maybe we can do it another time?” sunwoo asked.
you nodded hesitantly. “here, take this.” sunwoo said, handing you a piece of paper.
with that he walked away with his friends. you carefully opened the folded piece of paper, revealing a 10 digit number with a little smiley face. ‘finally after five years’

can't sleep... head full of best friend juhaknyeon, who is just so gentle and patient with you.. the situation doesn't matter tbh. like he's just so kind and warm and accepting no matter what. it could be the most stressful situation, in which he couldn't possibly keep calm and all the stress would get to him, putting him on edge but then, when he turns to you his words are coming out all gentle, his eyes holding a soft look, for you. or if you're struggling to do something, failing over and over, when by this point anyone else would've lost their patience but hakkie,, he'll delicately slip his hands over yours and show you how. softly whispering instructions into your ear, as kind to you as ever.. he'll always treat you like you're the most precious thing in the world, he just wants to protect you and have you next to him, safe and happy <3 he's just so perfect :'(
that being said, imagine being deathly afraid of the dark, so much so that you're trembling and visibly scared, and haknyeon taking notice of this, instantly rushing to comfort you in the way he knows how to. he'll just hold your hand, tapping his fingers on the back of yours rhythmically, in patterns. in hopes of distracting you from your fears :( <3 the sweet sweet boy that he is, he'll ask first if it's ok to hug you, and after you grant permission, he'll just wrap his arms around you in the most comfy bear–hug possible.. he's so so warm, and smells so very nice.. his entire presence takes over all your senses, leaving no room for fear. he's an angel, purely perfect..
sometimes he makes you think things that you shouldn't be thinking, like how you want him to hold you close and never let go.. or how you want him to never leave your side and take your hand in his when you need it.. or that the urge to kiss him is so overbearing and as time goes by it only gets more and more intense... but you couldn't ask for a better best friend, and what if he doesn't feel the same?.. that could ruin what you have now, and you don't know if it's worth the risk.. but for now you're just gonna take your time to bask in the warmth his body radiates, the comfort he provides through his gentle touches, rubbing circles on your back, arms tightening around you occasionally, signaling I'm here. here for you. so you close your eyes and hug him back just as tight, signaling back I love you. hoping that somehow he'll get it, miraculously he'll just know.. but the only tangible feeling you have currently is his tight embrace, and you're quite literally sinking into the warm, safe arms of your favorite person. he's your angel <3 sweet, kind angel <3

Day 13 - Haknyeon - soft sex
word count: 1979 words [⚠]: morning sex, very fluffy, y/n and hak are mad in love? a/n: as a fellow frenchie, i had to bring up my beautiful home country... sorry for the delay and i hope you enjoy it! 💙
kinktober masterlist 🖤 general masterlist 🖤
Being on holiday felt so good, so relieving. It’s been a while that you haven’t put your studies and part-time job aside to fly to another country and enjoy the beautiful sceneries with your boyfriend, such as spending time at the beach and doing nothing. Farniente, as people would say in Italian, and they were the best words you could use to describe the holiday you had decided to spend in France with your lover.
Haknyeon was browsing on the Internet during one of the rare free evenings he had, cross-legged on the sofa, intensely looking for something. When you had asked him about his research, he claimed that it was a surprise, and he couldn’t tell you till the day the said surprise happened.
“Just pack clothes and utilities for five days, we’re leaving on Sunday.” He had declared before kissing your lips, closing the computer for you not to discover where you were heading.
And now here you were, in the comfortable bed of your hotel, still feeling the rays of sunshine trapped in your body after spending the first two days on the French Riviera coast. You made the best of the region by walking around a few towns, discovering some hidden places and beautiful landscapes by climbing up hidden, pedestrian paths.
Birds were chirping, and pigeons were cooing around the hotel, a motorcycle speeding in the street as you found yourself in the wonderful Paris, the disturber earning a few honks from other drivers as it drove past them.
You had to admit that the Southern coast was calmer than the capital but you were still happy to discover the two most beautiful regions of France. It was the second morning that you witnessed from your Hausmannian balcony and the edge of the king-size bed, the beautiful sight of the Eiffel Tower, standing proudly in the middle of the city.
Inhaling deeply, you stretched your arms above your head and gently emerged from your slumber, noticing with a smile that the sun was by your side for the third consecutive day.
Turning to your right, Haknyeon was still sound asleep, his brown hair sprawled out on the white pillow. Resting on one arm, you gently tamed down his wild pieces of hair, hand falling on his cheek, gently cradling it as your thumb caressed his soft skin.
When your boyfriend’s eyes fluttered open, you smiled at him and bent lower to kiss his forehead, his arms wrapping around you to keep you close. You giggled as you collapsed on top of him, shivers running down your spine as his mouth lazily worked in your neck.
Removing yourself from him, you cupped his cheeks with a smile, and Haknyeon begged for a kiss by pouting, closing your eyes when your lips collided lovingly.
“Good morning, love,” you whispered, and his arms wrapped a second time around your shoulders.
“’Morning, babe,” his hand caressed your upper back, kissing your temple as you were resting your head on his chest. With your eyes closed, you listened to his calm heartbeat, letting the sound almost lull you back to sleep. However, someone more capricious manifested itself.
“Are you hungry?” he giggled as your stomach grumbled noisily, spoiling the romantic atmosphere that had just settled. “I think I am, yes,” you admitted with a smile and shifted your weight on one hand, Haknyeon repeating the same gesture as you did a few moments prior; his fingers placing a lock behind your ear.
“You’re so gorgeous,” he blurted out, making you chuckle and look away. Your boyfriend made a smooching sound to draw your attention back to him, his hand rubbing your arm up and down.
“Wanna call service room to order breakfast?” you questioned, and Haknyeon’s eyes never left your face, his bottom lip suddenly trapped in between his teeth. “As much as I’d love to share a French breakfast with you, I have a five-course meal in front of me,” he whispered and shoved the comforter away from his body, pushing you back down on your side of the bed and hovered above you.
Haknyeon captured your lips in a needy kiss, which you answered back almost immediately, barely processing what had just happened. Your hands flew to his cheeks, keeping him close as he wanted to pull away. Your tongues started twirling together in a sensual dance, your bodies rolling in the sheets, getting tangled together.
Being now on top of him, you were fully pressed against his chest, the thin fabric of your silk nightgown just separating you two. He let you know of his growing arousal by forcing you closer to him, your thigh pressing and sliding against his groin. His moan died on your lips, making you smirk as he was growing needier.
“You’re so pretty, do you feel the effect you have on me?” he mumbled against your mouth as the hand on your ass pressed you further against his dick, feeling it harden under you.
“I very much do, babe,” you breathed, slightly moving for your crotches to rub together, making you both break in airy moans.
“Let me make you feel good, princess,” you smiled as Haknyeon bunched up your nightgown, feeling the fabric in the process, loving how well it complemented each of your curves.
Once the piece of clothing was out of his way, the tip of his forefinger danced across your collarbone down the valley of your breasts, smirking as he felt the goosebumps he left on his path, satisfied with your reaction. You arched your back to get more friction and closer to him, and he was quick to fulfil your needs by wrapping his warm mouth around your sensitive nipple. You broke out in a needy moan, your hands flying to his head to keep him close.
“Yes, Hak, that feels so good,” you whispered, your legs wrapping around his waist, him unconsciously grinding against your core. He grunted but never removed himself away from you, loving how sexy you looked under him.
Mouth trailed lower till he reached your core, shoving your panties to the side and licked a long, fat stripe from your slit up to your clit, which was quick to get surrounded by the warmth of his mouth. Mewling, your hand fisted his hair and helped him move his head up and down to arouse you even more. His mouth felt so good licking up and gently biting on your clit, tugging on it, just to see you squirm and needily moan out his name.
With your legs resting on top of his shoulders, his head sunk further in between your legs, inserting two digits inside you before starting to pump in and out. You loudly moaned and pressed his head impossibly close to your core, Haknyeon groaning as the pain of your fingers tugging on his brown locks aroused him.
He lapped up your juices, his tongue eagerly swirling around your clit and go through your entrance, alternating with his fingers. There wasn’t a moment where you weren’t stimulated, his free hand going up to play with your nipples or wrap itself around your throat to keep you in place. You were squirming a lot since you were getting closer and closer to your high, your boyfriend’s name being the only thing you were capable of uttering.
“I haven’t even done much and you’re already a mess, look at yourself,” he smiled as he detached his lips from your core, his fingers picking up the pace and drilling faster. He felt you clench and was quick to retrieve them, leaving you so close to the edge that you could almost come without any further stimulation.
Haknyeon smirked when you whined in agony, your boyfriend getting back on his knees to remove his pyjama pants and underwear, his cock springing free from the restrains. You sat up and wrapped your hands around his cock, lapping the leaking precum dripping from the tip as you stroked him rapidly. He threw his head back and pushed the hair away from your face, moaning as your head fell back on the pillow, dragging him closer by the cock. It felt hot and hard around your fingers, and you whimpered when his tip covered in your spit grazed against your slit before pushing in.
He smirked as you maintained eye contact till he bottomed out, his hands resting on your sides, holding them tightly as your eyes rolled at the back of your head. The stretch was divine, and you heavily exhaled as he started thrusting, starting slowly. You looked so pretty under him with your eyes closed, your erected nipples tempting him to play with them, but he wanted you to last.
As much as you wanted him to go faster, his unhurried pace felt amazing. It was romantic and soft, just right for the morning, letting you feel and enjoy each other’s bodies, kisses appearing here and there just like words of praise, giving affection to the warm, shivering skin of the other.
Haknyeon’s cock deliciously grazed against your walls, fitting inside you perfectly, as if you were made for him. That’s what he muttered under his breath before bending down to kiss your neck, clenching around him as he hit a particularly sensitive point. Your hands slid to his shoulders, nails creating dents in the shape of moon. The pleasure was starting to get overwhelming and moaning your lover’s name was not enough to relieve you from the lust that was inundating your body.
“Oh shit Haknyeon, I’m gonna come,” you whined, and Haknyeon’s pace gently fastened, shifting his weight on his hands resting on each side of your head, admiring your fucked-out expressions. His mouth sank on your upper chest, your boobs bouncing around his face, feeling your throbbing heartbeat under his lips. He licked the pad of his fore- and middle finger before bringing them to your core, swaying them and applying pressure on your clit.
“Come for me Y/N, show me how beautiful you look when you come around my cock,” his free hand came to cradle your cheek as your eyes bore into his, briefly sucking on his thumb before getting sent over the edge.
“Haknyeon! Oh my god that feels so good, I love you so much!” you exclaimed as you closed your eyes tightly, sinking your head in the pillows as your orgasm washed over you, Haknyeon disappearing in your neck to kiss and suck on your skin, still thrusting to help you fully ride your high.
Your core convulsing and your facial expressions were just enough to send your boyfriend over the edge, removing himself from you as his release spurted on your lower stomach, groans of your name as well as cuss words fell from Haknyeon’s mouth.
You clenched around nothing at how pretty he looked; his face scrunched up in pleasure, he rested on his knees as his veiny hand harshly stroked his cock, muscular body shining in a thin layer of sweat. His dishevelled bedhead gave him a softer look, contrasting with the sinful scene that was happening in front of you.
Once he came down from his high, he opened his eyes again and offered you a tired smile, raising himself off the bed to walk to the bathroom. There, you heard the faucet turn on, and he appeared back a few seconds later with a dampened flannel in hand, ready to clean you up.
Haknyeon delicately pressed his lips on yours and collected his release with the washcloth, cleaning your core as well with the other side. He made sure to cover your body with the comforter before collapsing in your arms, littering your neck with gentle kisses.
"I love you too, angel, never forget that," he whispered against your warm skin, and you smiled, shifting to press your lips on his.

you didn't know what happened after you walked through the big white doors of your university. a weird smell, bodies on the ground, then everything around you turned black... when you opened your eyes again, your body was cold and your eyesight blurred, feeling unquestionably dizzy. as you tried to get up to see where you were now, you faced countless numbers of students, surrounded by tall hedges which give you some goosebumps along your spine. and that's when you knew you weren't at a normal halloween party at all.
you didn't know how you could have found yourself in such a situation, you didn't know how you found yourself now in front of tall hedges, surrounded by foreign heads all around you. you knew you should never have followed the inscriptions engraved on this orange envelope, mysteriously slipped into your locker. you knew you should have stayed comfortably on your couch, watching crappy horror movies with a bowl of popcorn full in your hands, surrounded by all your friends. but your boring night hadn't thrilled anyone, mutually deciding to go to college for a halloween special party.
you should have known it was a bad idea when your mother told you she had a bad feeling. but you did not listen to her, preferring to stroll outside, in the autumn wind, with the company of the people who made you happy. and you ended up passed out in unknown consequences.
now standing up, you dust off your clothes, turning your head here and there to see some familiar face, without any success, just leaving you alone in the middle of a bunch of random students who didn't mean much for you. an unsatisfied sigh left the barrier of your lips, crossing your arms in annoyance against your chest, an unpleasant feeling pecking at your cold fingertips. you won't waste the chance to tell the boyz you were right, that coming here for the halloween party was a really bad idea.
as you were about to move through the crowd, a thud sounded stopped you in your walk : four masked people placed themselves on a pedestal right in front of you. they remained silent, while a few people around you began to whisper softly, wondering why and how they were there. you were not reassured to be facing these people on your own, and although you tried not to think about it too much, your eyes were focused on their superior looks. a student braver than the rest, shouted from the back of the yard, to ask what the hell you all were doing here.
without response from them, some became afraid, voluntarily moving away from them. until a fifth person shows up, much more imposing and terrifying than the previous ones. he had a completely black mask, not showing any trace of his skin, or of his eyes : it was like staring into nothingness. « my dear students, welcome to my halloween party ! it's an honor to have you all with us. », his modified voice made your blood run cold, giving you a huge uncomfortable feeling, « before explaining anything to you, i want to warn you that there is no way out other than this labyrinth. »
not to lie, you were starting to seriously panic. who were these people and what were you doing there? your questions needed answers, and this very quickly. the dark night covered your thoughts, focused on the possible idea that everything was going to be fine, despite the bad feeling that was growing deep inside you. « good. now that i have your full attention, let me explain the game i created especially for you, » you knew something bad was going to be announced, but you still cherished the hope of a night without pitfalls, wishing for nothing more than to come home safe and sound, « first of all, let my friends give you a plaque and a marker, that you must not lose. »
looking around casually, you took the time to study the faces of some people : some girls looked panicked, hiding behind their boyfriends, using them as a potential shield, some boys were tough guys, ready to pounce on anyone who dared to bore them. and you were there, patiently waiting to try to understand all this staging that was playing around you, letting your mind go wild. after long minutes of waiting, your ears rocked by the whispers of the other students, one of the masked men stood in front of you. his gloved hands handed you a plaque and marker as agreed, and you felt his gaze — although camouflaged — pierced the deepest point of your soul.
« consider this plaque as your most precious medal, it is the most crucial point of our game. » — the man with the too imposing aura spoke again in his amused voice, or unhealthy for your liking. in front of him, you felt extremely small, the stress gradually gaining your muscles and your heart, making your legs extremely weak. you sighed, trying to come back to your senses, watching this plate carefully with your curious eyes. it had nothing interesting : it was just white, with a k, an i, and two underscores following in the middle of the latter. sliding the plate around your neck as he explained, carefully storing the marker in your jacket pocket, you looked again at this man who now raised his arms to the sky, as if he felt victorious over the scene unfolding in front of him.
« well, let's talk about the game now, » he took a slight break, pivoting on himself to pace, « the name of the game is 'kiss or kill', and as you can see only the k and the i are written on your medals. the object of the game is that no matter who you come across in this labyrinth, you will have to complete their plate and vice versa, with the end of the word you prefer. more clearly, add two 's' to save them, or two 'l' to kill them. » — and here it is finally, the panic that had been crackling for long minutes in the pit of your stomach.
the game was about having to kill people? spill their blood on the ground and see them lose their lives in front of you? so that meant you could all live by simply noting two 's', right? but you knew some people would be crazy enough to write down two 'l' and watch them die without doing anything to save them. moving all over the place, you started to really tell yourself that you had to find your friends before it all went any further, you had to find a familiar face at all costs to reassure you mentally and tell you that everything will be fine. because you didn't want to believe that something bad could potentially happen to them between those tall hedges. it was just a horrible nightmare, right? it was all just the result of the horrors stories told by changmin, right? you were going to wake up and find refuge in sangyeon's comforting arms, right? and sulk when you hear kevin's mocking laughter, who will get struggled by juyeon for teasing you, right?
you quickly come to your senses when someone shoves you violently, almost knocking you to the floor. the boy was starting to panic a little too much, screaming that he wanted to get out of here : you could even see tears running down his cheeks. but soon that wasn't the only thing you could see along his pale cheek, the tears replaced by a red and warm liquid escaping from his head. a horrible noise made one of your ears dizzy, when a pistol bullet penetrated the skull of this panicked young student. you were nailed to the spot, the air suddenly missing you, your eyes wide open like marbles at the sight of his body crashing to the ground, right at your feet. never in your life have you felt so nauseous, and the urge to collapse in your turn was greatly felt. you wanted to run away from here, but the fear of dying like this young man was crippling you.
« well, well, well.. you young people, you never listen to what we told you, » he said, putting the gun he had in his hand straight into his pocket, « anyway, let's continue the explanations. » this man definitely had no heart, his nonchalant manner of speaking and the non-reaction to the murder he had just committed, proved it well. you couldn't do anything, panic and fear crippling you from the inside. the tremors of your fingers went through each of your limbs, making standing far too complicated. you slowly pivoted towards the masked man, ignoring the blood that was flowing on the floor, inviting itself under your shoes. « before entering the maze, you will line up, one after the other, and draw in these large boxes, a card. if you are lucky you will come across a white card, which will leave you free to choose. free to leave your comrades alive or to kill them. if you are the ugly duckling, you will stumble upon a red card, the latter automatically requiring you to kill anyone who crosses your path. and above all, no one should know the color of your card, under any circumstances. »
nothing but terror crackled around you. what were you supposed to do? run away from it all to save your life? find friends to look for a solution? you were stuck in the face of it all, trying to control your breathing so as not to cause a panic attack. you just thought you were having a good evening with your friends, enjoying the autumnal wind in your hair, the air brightened up with your laughter. but none of this had happened : you had stepped into a surrealist nightmare in which you found yourself alone. following the instructions of the game master, you placed yourself in one of the lines, a few people in front of you.
you were biting your nails badly, nervous about the future events unfold. you didn't want to see eric's purity and youth taken from him, you did not want to see chanhee's beautiful outfits, stained with blood, you didn't want to remember jacob's melodious voice, only in your memories, and you especially didn't want to see sunwoo's smile fly away to the stars. the more you advanced, the more you wanted to burst into tears.
what would happen if you had to draw the red card? will you become a murderer? will you have to kill your friends? you couldn't believe something like this was happening to you, you had no one to comfort you, no one to tell you that everything is going to be alright. you didn't have hyunjae's reassuring words or younghoon's warm hands to comfort you and dry all your tears. you didn't have haknyeon' smile to take away all your sorrows : you were just alone, trapped in your dark thoughts.
as the students moved forward, you now stood in front of this large black box, carefully observing the masked man standing beside it. you prayed inside that you didn't fall on the red card, the mere idea of becoming a murderer because of this card, making you want to throw up. your trembling hand moved towards the entrance of the box, diving inside the box : you did not dare to make the slightest movement, shaking your fingers again and again between the pieces of cardboard. you closed your eyes as hard as you could, sending invisible signals to the stars for them to have mercy on you. you couldn't fall on the red card, nobody deserved it. « yah, you, hurry up where we're going to die there. » — a disgruntled student squeezed you, getting a slap on the back of his head by one of his friends. you nodded briskly, drawing a random card, hiding it in your sleeve, away from curious eyes, before rushing into the terrifying hedgerows.
a sigh left your lips, quickly pulling you away from the noise the other participants were making, your insecure strides heading in you-don't-know-what directions. as you moved away, you found yourself in a disturbing half-light, trying to calm the too fast palpitations of your poor little heart. looking around, you don't see anyone on the horizon, allowing you in this way, to discover the color of your card. with a trembling and hesitant hand, you maneuvered so that your fingers were facing your face, sliding the card upwards to discover its color.
that color that made you cry.
« y/n ! »
that all-too-familiar voice made you jump, not daring to lift your face to make direct contact with the hazel eyes of one of your closest friends. but the relief of finally being able to find some comfort made you move, your weak body ending in warm and reassuring arms that you had missed so much. you finally allowed yourself to burst into tears, letting your face be engulfed in the heat of sangyeon's body, your hands clinging firmly to him. « are you okay? are you hurt? » — his trembling but reassuring voice reaches your ears, but no words seemed to want to leave the barrier of your lips. like they're stuck deep in your throat. you felt him move away from you for a few moments, his hands grabbing your face to carefully observe every part of your face, looking for the slightest possible injury. as an answer, you simply nodded negatively, drowning yourself in the sincerity and benevolence of his eyes.
sangyeon was like the big brother you never had : he was there to dry away your tears, to help you with your homework, to drive you to college, to defend you when people come after you.. he had never let go of your hand and now this day was going to ruin everything. « don't worry, we're all gonna get out of here alive, i promise. » — but you knew sangyeon himself didn't believe a single word of his promise. he knew full well that there were going to be losses in your friends, because he knew all too well the cruelty of humanity.
it killed you to know that he already had one foot in the grave when he crossed you, it killed you to know that the warmth of his arms would soon fly away in an unforgettable memory to join the rays of the sun. another sob escaped your lips, attracting the attention of the boy you considered your big brother to you. but he didn't cry, instead of that, he watched you with his benevolent and reassuring eyes, his warm gaze piercing your whole soul. your heart was aching so much that you felt like it was going to burst in your chest and break your rib cage to go away from all this pain that was slowly destroying each of your limbs. you had never felt a pain like this : this kind of pain that just wanted to make you scream with all your strength to try a little to relieve you.
« listen, we're just gonna top off those damn plates with two s, and then, we will continue together to save the others, okay? » — the silent beating of your heart was screaming to him to stop looking at you like this, with the eyes of a benevolent big brother. because you knew that loving and reassuring gaze, though terrified, would soon be gone forever. « sangyeon.. » — the words seemed stuck in your throat again, the rest of your words not wanting to escape your mouth. and sangyeon had no other reaction than to break your heart a little more, by coming to place the most comforting kiss on your forehead. like the exemplary big brother he was for you. his hand patted warmly the top of your head, a smile that made his eyes disappear taking place on his face.
you hated this feeling in you : the feeling to touch the hope of a future in his company. because you knew that it would be impossible, you knew that in a few moments, sangyeon would still be present in your heart, but no longer on earth. imitating his movements, despite your eyesight blurred by new tears, you searched your jacket pocket with your trembling hand, that famous black marker that had the power to seal your fate in barely a fraction of second. you bitterly regretted having crossed again the sincerity of his eyes, while he has just engraved the two small missing letters of your plate. just like you did, although they are different from his.
you didn't dare look up at him, you didn't dare to face his benevolent gaze when you had just signed his death warrant. but in a moment of weakness, you laid your eyes on sangyeon's angelic smile, warming your heart little by little. and unfortunately, you trusted the crackle of hope dawning deep in your stomach, at the sight of his warm and comforting hand reaching out to you, offering you a moment of paradise in this walking nightmare. and just when you wanted to give in to temptation, melting under the desire for a future by his side, you extended your hand to his, ready to grab it, but...
but a thudding noise stopped you in your run, with small hot droplets came to paint your doll face.
you felt the splinters of his blood run down your cheeks. you couldn't believe all your hopes had just gone up in smoke. you couldn't move, silently watching sangyeon's smile escape his lips, until his body falls miserably to the ground. you wanted to scream but you couldn't, you wanted to run away from here but you couldn't, you wanted to breathe but the air seemed stuck in your lungs. you couldn't do anything, feeling your heart stop beating at the sight of the pool of blood gradually drawing around his head, coloring the strands of his light hair. you were paralyzed, obsessed with that bullet hole in sangyeon's temple, he was dead in front of you and you were unable to do anything.
your body seemed to respond to your orders again when you heard footsteps approaching you, running to your body paralyzed by fear and guilt. lifting your head with difficulty, taking your frightened eyes away from the silhouette of the boy you considered as your big brother by heart, your troubled sight entered the soul with a face far too familiar again.
you were now facing the terrified eyes of hyunjae, his pupils filled with fear, going back and forth between sangyeon's inert body and your shaking hands. and he blamed himself terribly, he blamed himself for letting your innocent eyes see the dead body of one of your friends before him.
because in his head, you couldn't have done such a horrible willful act. because for him, you just couldn't be responsible for sangyeon's death.
so his first instinct was to run up to you, pull you into his arms by deliberately camouflaging your face in the crook of his neck, and run as far as possible to get you away from these atrocities. after a run that seemed like an eternity, his footsteps stopped in a corner, trying somehow to hide you both from the others' eyes. he could feel your heart pounding against his chest, he could feel your body shaking with all its limbs under his fingers, he could feel your jerky breathing, and read the fear in your eyes. his hand wrapped around the back of your head, keeping your face camouflaged against his skin. tears finally seemed to want to flow, streaming down your bloodstained red cheeks, bursting into tears in hyunjae's arms. your fingers clinging to his jacket like your life depended on it, broke his heart in millions pieces, causing a flow of panic to intrude into his muscles.
« i'm s-sorry.. » — you managed to say, letting another sob disturb your ears, as he just hugged you tighter, engulfing you in its reassuring envelope. he was trying the best he could to drive out all the demons that were trying to appropriate your heart, but feeling your weight melt in his arms, he knew you were on the verge of sinking. « no, no. i'm the one who is sorry, » his big warm hands made contact with your cheeks, forcing your blank gaze to dive into his, « sorry for not having been able to protect you. »
his fingers came delicately to wipe the tears from your cheeks, not paying attention to the now dried blood that was spoiling the perfection of your opaline skin. even in this state, hyunjae saw you as the most wonderful woman in his life, and he wanted to eradicate all the people who dared to break your warm heart and changed your innocent eyes into an uncontrollable fear. « jae.. i'm scared.. » — your voice sounded so weak, it gave him some chills, but he had to stay strong for you and do everything to protect you, even if hyunjae had to lose his life for that.
but you already knew he was going to die, and seeing him so protective with you only tore your heart a little more every second. your tiny hands let go of his jacket collar, letting your forehead rest heavily against his chest, trying to calm you down by listening to his damaged heartbeat. gently stroking your hair in a comforting way, hyunjae inspected the place around you, keeping his ears open to the slightest possible suspicious noise. but no one seemed to come, which gave him a little time to reassure you as much as possible.
but just as he was about to talk to you, find the right words to ensure you an imminent exit from this morbid place, a voice in a speaker made you both jump. « you must complete your plates immediately, if you don't want to be killed right away. here is the count : 1.. 2.. » — you felt your heart leap out of your chest, and panic consumed you again. you didn't want to relive that, you didn't want to see hyunjae's body covered in blood, you didn't want to lose him too. « no, no, no, no, please no.. » your trembling fingers clung to his hands, refusing to let go under any pretext. but the count continued to advance, « 3.. 4.. » and the fear of dying began to gain the muscles of hyunjae who hastened to grab his marker despite your grip around his wrists. « listen, y/n, just write these damn letters before we both die. » — he didn't want to yell at you, but the panic and the fear got the better of him. he hastened to complete your plate with two small s, before putting the marker in your hand, encouraging you to use it to do like him.
but you couldn't do it, and he didn't understand why. you were forcing yourself to tell yourself that he didn't know what was going to happen. he didn't know that in a few second, you would face his blood on your clothes, the stopping of his hot heart, the closing of his eyelids. he didn't know that in a few minutes you will lose him forever, and that the echo of his laughter will haunt your thoughts for the rest of your life. « 6.. 7.. » he didn't know you would live with the trauma of watching your friends die in front of your eyes, without being able to do anything about it. he didn't know that you were already going to lose two of the most precious people in your life.
he didn't know why you were so hesitant, nor why your shaking hands weren't able to write two unfortunate little letters. why were you so scared, knowing that two simple 's' could save both of your lives? he definitely didn't understand the nature of your behavior, but what he understood is that if you did not hurry, it was that he was going to die soon. « y/n, for god's sake h— ».
« 8.. 9.. » — for the last minutes of his life, hyunjae found himself lost in the black of your eyes, trying to find the slightest trace that you went completely crazy for not to writing those damn letters. but at the last second, you finally brought your hand to his plate, engraving the two letters he dared not look. your eyes now full of tears, you hoisted yourself up on your tiptoes to hang your arms around hyunjae's neck, pulling him as strongly as possible against your frail body. you whispered endless sorry to him as he tried so hard to get rid of your hold, without success. he knew what he expected, he now knew his fate was sealed.
« 10. »
the same thud ricocheted off the tall hedges around you, and you felt the whole weight of your friend's body fall on you.
you couldn't hold back your tears in the face of the current pain : the one of your heavy heart, caused by the death of sangyeon and now the death of hyunjae, then the one of your bloody ear from the horrible sound of a bullet exploding a skull. hyunjae's head fell against your shoulder, and you felt his warm blood run down your arm, washed up on the ground through your fingers. the side of your head was now covered in blood, slightly blurring your sight, and you felt hyunjae's body unhook from yours to crash on the ground at your feet.
the nightmare you were currently experiencing was pinning you on your spot, and you didn't even dare to imagine the horrors you were going to see after that. you didn't want to meet your friends anymore, you didn't want to hurt anyone anymore. you were trying to walk nonchalantly, your legs so heavy they made you suffer excruciatingly. you didn't want to stay close to his dead body and see the scene of his death as a video in replay on youtube. the mere sight of the depth of his scared eyes in yours, making you wanna fall to the ground to cry.
after a few minutes of walking, you dropped yourself on a corner, letting your body slide against the hedge to reach the cold ground. you felt dirty : the sweat of fear sticking to your skin like caramel. using your sleeve of your jacket, you tried to remove the blood that covered your face, mixed by the salty pearls which categorically refused to stop flowing. how could you keep moving forward under these conditions? just knowing that your friends will surely die one after the other? you definitely couldn't take this.
curled up on yourself, you do not extend the slow steps towards you, until a hand rests on your knee, causing an unfortunate reflex to end up right in the middle of a boy's torso. after you came back to your senses, you opened your eyes again to hearing moans of pain from this person. recognizing the latter's face, you got up hastily to land at his side, placing your hands on his cheeks to lift his face to yours. « oh god, younghoon, i'm so sorry. » — his hands went up in front of you, shaking his head negatively, assuring you that everything was okay.
helping him to get up, you took the time to observe him for a long time : his face was stained with blood, like yours, and his big hands were covered in red. you knew you weren't the only one to have faced horrors, to have seen people die in front of your eyes, and younghoon was the proof. as all was silent around you two, you saw tears running down his face, mingling with the drops of blood covering his cheeks, while he seemed to search for his words before speaking. guiding your hand to younghoon's face, you brushed his cheek with your fingertips, causing him to lift his face towards you, connecting his dark bruised gaze into yours. « y/n, » he began softly, in a weak, trembling voice, and you noticed that his rosy lips started to shake uncontrollably, « i saw jacob and.. and kevin.. and they were.. they were.. »
you did not run out of time to understand what he was going to say, letting your body come into contact with hers in a warm embrace, but cradled with the fear of dying. younghoon clung to you like his life depended on it, like you clung to him to find some semblance of comfort in him. your hands caressed his back as you fought your own tears, your heart aching as much as a stab right in the middle of it. you had the impression of not feeling anything anymore, as if all the pain and the fear that you had endured until then, had destroyed little by little each of your emotions. were you really going to witness each of your friends' deaths one after the other?
« they were there, as if they were sleeping except they were no longer breathing.. you are the first person i meet, and i'm relieved to know i'm gonna live a little longer.. » — the nervous little laugh that left younghoon's lips after that, broke you in two. how could such an angelic being as him, could die there, in front of your eyes, in less than a minute? younghoon had always been extremely sweet and kind to you, it was him, the best to melt your heart like marshmallow. his hand clings to yours, staring at your blood spotless fingers, and he couldn't imagine what you've been going through so far.
he watched your face carefully, you were definitely not the same as the day before : your eyes seemed empty, your smile was no longer warm and reassuring, it had become weak and afraid. your rosy cheeks were covered in blood, beads of sweat slipped down your skin. « did you meet him? » — you knew exactly who he was talking about, and luckily for you, you had not yet crossed paths with this person. and you hoped you would never meet him here. you shook your head negatively, offering him a small smile while playing nervously with the edge of your t-shirt. younghoon didn't know what else to say, and you watched him silently nibble his lower lip, until he searches in his pocket to grab his marker, and completely, on his own, your plate with the two 's' to save your life.
you looked up at his delicate fingers, which handed you his own marker, a warm smile filled with hope dawning on younghoon's blood-soaked face. and you felt it again, that heartbroken feeling of seeing the innocence and purity of tour friend's face, join the stars. you didn't want to take the marker, you wanted to hear this count again to spend a little more time in hoon's company, you wanted to enjoy a little longer his kind smile that made your heart sparkle, making sure that you were still alive.
but you grabbed it, praying that his eyes would never look at the word written on his plate, because you wanted that smile which made his eyes disappear into two crescent moons, to be the last of the most beautiful memories you can have of him. younghoon was going to make the most beautiful trip to paradise, letting a pink cloud filled with his smiles invade your hackneyed mind.
you didn't flinch when the bullet hit his skull, causing him to jump before he fell heavily on the ground. you didn't walk away, when his blood ran down your legs. you didn't cry, when his smile and his soul left his being forever. you didn't panic, when you realized that younghoon had definitely just flown off to heaven, once again leaving you alone, surrounded by the frightening demons who were now controlling your emotions.
you no longer knew who you were, nor what was right or wrong. you no longer knew who the blood on your clothes belonged to, you no longer knew how many plates you had filled, you no longer knew who you had crossed during your wobbly walk. you no longer knew anything. you only saw red, screams, dull noises, bruised smiles and empty eyes. nothing made sense anymore, and you were convinced you were locked in a dreadful nightmare that was eating you inside. maybe if you killed everyone in your path, you would wake up in your bed, in warm arms, greeted by a benevolent smile that would rock your soul. maybe if you played selfish, thinking only about yourself, maybe someone will pinch you so hard, you will wake up immediately. but the problem was you didn't remember falling asleep. you remembered very clearly putting on your jacket, kissing your mother's cheek before stepping outside, harassing your group chat to inform your friends of your near arrival. you remembered coming to cre.ker university and going through those big doors, which had to lead you to the most boring college halloween party in the country.
a sobbing laugh left your lips, almost making you choke on your saliva, as you leaned towards younghoon. you took care to gently close younghoon's eyelids, placing a cold kiss on his cheek before walking away. no matter who could cross your path now, all these people would have called you crazy. your messy hair fell over your face, camouflaging your empty dark eyes, your arms running along your body like you're nothing more than a puppet. you had the impression of walking slowly down the corridor of the condemned, your legs were heavy, as if all the dead and lost souls in this labyrinth had clung to you. you wandered aimlessly, your eyes staring at the ground, ignoring the blood that stuck to your skin and stained your clothes. nothing mattered anymore. what would eric say, if he had been there?
wait.
you stopped your walk, eyes round like marbles, suddenly realizing that your little brother was also supposed to come to the party. all of sudden, your emotions jostled, ricocheting in every still active corner of your head, letting panic pour into your body. nothing else mattered, your one and only goal was to find your brother and get him out of this nightmare, alive. you needed to see his blond head again, need to see the essence of the pure youth that he was, need to see him smile at you, assuring you that everything was ok. so you started to run, screaming his name at the top of your lungs, taking every possible turn in search of a familiar figure.
but the person you bumped into, was not the one you were looking for. in front of you, simply juyeon's frightening cat eyes staring at your nonchalant face. he noticed that your eyes were no longer the same, that the sparks deep inside them were no longer there, as if your soul had left your body. the blood covering the limbs of your body, caused him countless chills along his spine, finding no trace of your intact doll skin. you looked dead, empty like a simple shell, your heartbeat no longer resonating in your chest, the silence echoing inside you like a tin can. you weren't the y/n he knew.
and he was not wrong, because right now, you were like a stray cat, ready to do anything to find what will give him warmth on a winter evening. you had to find that spark that could revive your sleeping heart, exhausted from all the pain it had endured.
but the mere idea of eric's body without life, made you want to die too.
so right now, all you cared about, was your little brother.
juyeon, although hesitant, approached you, brushing your face with his large hands to move your hair away from your face. your eyes were fixed on an invisible point he couldn't determine, and he might shake your cheeks to make you react, you seemed way too far away for him to reach you. his eyes became two round marbles when he felt your delicate fingers circled his wrist, squeezing the latter so tight that he felt like his blood flow had stopped. the sight of your face destroyed by the tears of suffering running down your flushed cheeks, broke his heart like never before.
he wanted to hug you, drive away all your fears, reassure you and comfort you, but he was paralyzed by fear. petrified by your black eyes which seeming to swallow him up, attracting him to your world stripped of meaning and life. your subconscious seemed to react for you, picking up your mind slightly to hold on to him, bearing all the sadness in the world on your face. « ju.. where's my brother? » — your crackling voice made juyeon's eyes glaze over, nervously nibbling the inside of his cheek. how could he explain to you that your precious little brother's soul had left the world of the living? how could he explain to you that his body had collapsed in his arms? how could he explain to you that he saw a pool of his best friend's blood forming around him without being able to do anything about it?
« y/n, i, » juyeon didn't know how to admit it to you, he didn't know how to tell you that he had abandoned eric's lifeless body a little further than here, « i'm sorry but.. he's gone.. someone has.. » — but he didn't have the time to finish his sentence that you collapsed on the floor, your knees hitting hard against the concrete, as your hands clung tightly to your hair. you couldn't breathe, as if two hands were pressed against your throat, completely depriving you of air. your eyesight was blurred, pulling on your hair so hard that a few strands got stuck between your fingers.
you couldn't believe juyeon let your brother die.
you couldn't believe he killed him.
juyeon cautiously approached you, placing his warm hand on your shoulder. but your mind was playing tricks on you, making you see things that weren't there : like juyeon's bloodstained hands of your little brother's blood, or that victorious smile at the corner of his lips, while a machiavellian laughter escaped from his mouth. you only saw red, you saw red all over the place, all over his face, causing your blood to boil in your veins, making you shake way too hard. juyeon didn't understand when you threw yourself on him, tear-filled eyes while yelling at him, your little hands hitting his face that he was trying as best as he can to protect.
juyeon couldn't believe that, a person as nice as you, could have become some kind of uncontrollable monster. he could no longer see your eyes nor your smile, all he saw was a black hole, his ears aching upon hearing your heartbreaking complaints. « you killed him, lee juyeon, you killed my brother, » you tell him, coming and sticking your nails into his cheek, scratching his cheek so hard that traces of blood were formed, making him wince in pain, « you left him alone in the cold, you left him there ! » hatred was felt in your words, laying eric's death on the shoulders of his best friend.
juyeon wanted to admit his defeat, bursting into tears in turn, because deep down, you were probably right, he had unconsciously caused eric's death. the only difference between your two views was that you saw him as if he was proud of it, while he was angry with himself to the point of wishing his own death.
which happened, when you signed his death warrant by engraving two 'l' on his plate. but he didn't blame you, because he knew that in your normal state, you would never do such a thing. in his eyes, you were the most beautiful and the nicest of all the persons on earth, he placed total trust in you, he would have pounced on anyone who could have attacked you. he knew how pain could throw people off, he knew the pain in his body, at the very moment the bullet hit his skull, was nothing compared to the pain deep in your heart. because he knew that your brother's death, was like signing your go straight to heaven. or hell.
juyeon saw his life suddenly go by, his memories sweeping deep in his subconscious so that he only keeps a good memory about it. he saw your dazzling smile, rocked by the light of the sunset on a summer evening, your hand clinging to eric's, letting you both fall into the sea. he saw your sulky face, leaning against his shoulder, sitting at a table in the cafeteria, while chanhee was lectured you for he-doesn't-know-what. he saw you that day, in front of his door, your clothes soaked from the rain, and your eyes filled with tears from an argument with your parents, but the sincere smile that adorned your lips when he opened the door was worth all the gold in the world. it was that kind of moment he wanted to remember : the times when the bubbly person that you were could fill his heart with happiness, like no one had ever done before. « i'm sorry.. » — his weak and muffled voice, almost inaudible, didn't even make you react. he knew there was nothing he could do about it, but he knew he had to apologize before he left. juyeon was not afraid to die, but he was afraid that the old you would remain a prisoner of your demons. so, instead of thinking about the few seconds he had left to live, he prayed that someone would come and deliver you from your thorny tower. it was his last wish.
when you saw juyeon lose his life right in front of your eyes, you didn't feel anything. no pain, no regrets, nothing. just a deep void that you thought you would fill. you thought that, by killing juyeon, you would avenge eric's death, to make your heart less heavy. but none of that happened : the same sadness and pain continued to roar at the top of their lungs in your body, echoing against the walls of your bones. you were gradually sinking into the anger that was gnawing at your soul, gently pulling you into the hell that your life was becoming.
lost far in your morbid thoughts, you didn't see a new person approaching you, their hand hitting your cheek so hard that you lost your balance, falling to the ground. you were too shocked to react, not having time to come to your senses, that another blow comes crashing down on your frail body.
lost in your insanity episode, you hadn't noticed that a third person witnessed your little bloody scene with juyeon. changmin was in total shock, witnessing in horror the most heinous scene he had seen in his life. noting that he was a huge horror movie fan, seeing it in real life, right in front of his eyes, caused a whole different effect : chills rolling across his skin, irregular breathing, weak legs, and shaking hands. he was paralyzed because of the monster you had become, but it was his duty to get you back to earth.
changmin dropped down beside you when you tried so hard to get up, holding your head with your hand because of the feeling of dizziness. he had hit you so hard, that you saw stars spinning around you, but that did not prevent your hatred from increasing in you. you couldn't let it go, maybe changmin was also responsible for eric's death? after all, he was the one who insisted on coming to the party. but his grip around your wrists, nailing them to the ground, was far too firm for you to be able to make any movement. « are you fucking crazy y/n? » — changmin's voice was squeaky, divided between hatred to see his friend's inert body by your fault, not far from you, and the fear of having to say goodbye to your pure soul forever. he was sure he had lost countless members of his friendly circle today, he didn't want to include you among them too.
you looked at him silently, looking for a way to let go of his hold. you felt the whole weight of his body on yours, nailed you to the ground. nothing seemed to want to come to your mind, like you're definitely trapped in his arms. his warm and comforting arms. the heat emanating from changmin's body, gradually awakened your senses, and suddenly you burst into tears, no longer supporting all the pain that ran through your veins. changmin didn't know how to react : he remained vigilant, afraid that you would take him by surprise, but at the same time, seeing you cry so painfully, like you want to evacuate your broken heart through your tears, reactivated his protective side towards you.
he slightly released his grip on your wrists, pulling his face away from yours to observe your face eaten away by sadness. « what should i do changmin.. », your broken voice took him by surprise, and he felt the guilt crush his shoulders. how dare he lay such a violent hand on you? « yah.. don't cry.. » — he slipped his arms around you, rocking to the side to pull you into his arms, consoling your bruised heart as best he could. you were crying against his chest now, changmin's eyes riveted on the starry sky : this night had definitely ruined your lives, and he didn't know how to get out of it.
« how can i live without eric? », your body ached excruciatingly, like every piece of your skin went up in smoke, your hands desperately clinging to changmin' stained t-shirt, « how am i supposed to live with this pain all the time? » — he felt so bad, because he hadn't thought about how you could possibly feel, but the sight of your hands intentionally killing one of your friends made him want to throw up.
« it hurts so much.. » — when he was going to put his hands in your hair, to dust off your tangled locks, he came face to face with your evil smile that made his blood run cold. he had let his guard down a little too much, softened by your tears and the sweetness of your voice, that he had forgotten your hands covered in blood and your bruised soul. you had gone nuts, and he resented the whole world for making this sight, the last memory he could have of you. he let his eyes drag down your arm, finally reaching your hand, where a certain black marker swirled between your fingers. he was horrified, seeing the evil smile that painted your rosy lips, until he had a hard time looking down at his plate, now filled with two 'l'.
you waved at him in a funny way, laughing so evil that his heart stopped beating, petrified with fear. you had become his worst nightmare, even worse than that crazy party he was in now. he never thought he would see something like this in his life, he never thought he would experience the horror of seeing a precious friend die in front of his eyes, he never thought he would witness your loss, seeing you sink into madness.
you didn't move when the thud of the bullet penetrating his skull, neither when the splashes of his blood burst on your face, nor when a metallic taste slipped on your tongue. you believed for a second, see changmin's soul leaving his now dead body, cursing you with his whole being. but your thoughts quickly fade away, plunging you back into the darkness you created.
after dropping out of changmin, you walked away slowly, moving your feets little by little, singing a happy song despite the tragedy that rocked your halloween party. your fingers brushed the greenery of the hedges, as the hallways around you seemed deserted and silent. turning around a corner, your eyes fell on a bloody body on the ground. you could have recognized this blond hair between miles, and this jacket that he never even took off to sleep. you were facing eric's lifeless body, which lay in his own blood, covering part of the ground around him. you slowly moved closer to him, letting your scraped knees violently hit the ground, guiding your trembling hands to his cold face.
squatting on the floor, your little brother's head on your knees, your fingers getting lost in the reddened strands of his hair. he looked peaceful, and you sincerely wished he hadn't suffered. a hand on your shoulder got you out of your trance — and raising your eyes to the sky, you came face to face with the sweet face of the key to all your worries. a soft smile painted your lips, mirroring his, rekindling the flame of your soaring soul. « you look like heaven. » — your voice in a whisper rocked his heart, reaching out to you to get you up.
but inside, he was petrified. sunwoo had a reputation for being scared easily, and this night full of horror hadn't helped him. he might have looked like heaven to you, but to him, you were currently the perfect representation of hell. the touch of your hand in his made his blood run cold, silently observing your destructive doll face, covered in blood and dirt. obviously he found you extraordinarily beautiful, but he knew it was only his loving heart that made him feel sorry for you.
sunwoo's fingers intertwined yours, his sweet gaze piercing your bones until it reach the little humanity that remained at the bottom of your soul. he wanted to take advantage of the last moments that you had left to enjoy your company, remembering your soft touch that haunted his thoughts, of your warm lips mingling with his, of your melodious voice rocking his nights. sunwoo had fallen head over heels in love with the old y/n, the one with the warmest smile, the one with the purest gaze, the one with the sweetest laughter. the one who always took care of others, who sulked when people teased them, the one who was a zero in maths. he had fallen in love with the whispered i love you, with the stolen kisses from behind the big walls of the university, and with the last-minute date. nobody took possession of his heart like you did.
but he was now so scared of what you had become. he took as much as he could to keep his loving gaze in front of you, his soft eyes almost making you lose your balance. sunwoo was way too good to be real, and you couldn't believe he was part of the nightmare you were experiencing right now. « i was afraid of losing you, » you started, squeezing his hand with your little trembling fingers, your eyes bursting with tears hoping to have at least sunwoo saved, « i don't know what i would have done without you.. ». sunwoo felt his heart compress in his chest, making him feel like he was suffocating under your words.
tears rolled down your cheeks as your boyfriend watched those salty pearls finally fall to the floor. you looked so sad, broken, ruined, by all the horrible things you faced today. he felt like he saw you dead, but alive at the same time : he blamed himself for letting people destroy the precious person that you were. he missed your sincere smile and your beating heart. he was now facing a tin can, stripped of humanity and emotion. « it hurts so much woo, » you confessed to him, nervously nibbling your lower lip, « how can i survive with this.. »
he knew he had to do something, but first he had to collect all the courage he needed to achieve it.
because he knew you were the one who killed most of your common friends, because he knew you by heart. he knew the curve of your handwriting, he had recognized the way in which you had completed this word with the two 'l' he dreaded so much. and he saw, the number of different 's' written on your own plate, he knew you had caused countless deaths in your path. he knew that the blood on your hands probably belonged to younghoon, or even hyunjae.. and maybe eric? had you gone mad enough to cause your little brother's own death? he no longer knew who you were.
placing his left hand against your cheek, you melt against the heat of his body, this reassuring gesture planting a dagger right in your inert heart. « i love you, y/n. » — he finally said, rekindling the feelings that had previously vanished from you. and that's when he pressed his lips to yours, causing you to close your eyes to enjoy this horribly painful but gentle gesture. your body melted under his fingers, your heart beating again deep in your chest, your mind clouded by his i love you, echoing in your skull. sunwoo was all you had left, and his kisses were what still kept you alive.
lost in the flow of feelings that his lips provoked against yours, you didn't notice what was going on between your two bodies. with his skillful hand, sunwoo slipped the latter into his pocket, unscrewing the cap from the marker. as he continued to distract you by kissing you as if tomorrow didn't exist, he brought his fingers to your plate, writing down what no one had written on it : kill. when he pulled away from you, he felt tears escape from his eyes, rolling down his cheeks. you were both crying silently, looking each other in the eye. and the only difference between you two, was that your face once again brought up that sincere smile that he was in love with, while the guilt made him keep a nonchalant expression.
« thank you for delivering me, kim sunwoo. » — and those were the last words you said before the bullet hit your skull, spurting your blood from your head, painting your boyfriend's perfect face. he watched your body fall to the ground, finding itself next to your brother, as his heart ached so much that he was afraid of collapsing in his turn. he had just killed the love of his life, and now he didn't know what to do. should he find out if any of your friends were still alive? did he have to find a way to go out of here?
but all of a sudden, everything turned black.
because you had the red card, that signed the death of all the people you met between these tall hedges.

ren ilysm for this <3 /p
Hello :) !! idk if you still take request or no but could you do who is an ass or boobs guy?? in The boyz please ? Only if you feel comfortable ofc (Sorry for my bad English) I really love your writing too :)
hi! your english is very good! dw about it :) my requests are closed BUT i have written this exact thing so long ago and idk why i never posted it but maybe it was a sign for somebody to request it later on lmao, enjoy !!
ass: sangyeon, hyunjae, kevin, changmin, juhaknyeon, sunwoo
elaboration:
i have zero to none explanation why sangyeon is an ass guy but he just is. one of the few top fav sex positions is having you chest down, under him while he positions his cock in between your ass cheeks, fucking you slowly, not exactly giving you what you want/need:(
hyunjae would be the guy to sit you down on his lap when there’s no seats left in the car. actually no, scratch that, he would pull you down on his lap whenever he wants bc mhmhm loves feeling you press down on him.
i still see kevin as the most playful out of all of them so he would slap your ass at every given opportunity. struggles to control the urges to do so when you’re with your/his family bc hello?? that softy deserves a slap☝️
again, not sure why i think changmin is an ass worshiper.. it’s bc he’s a dancer 😎 no but you wearing skirts or anything short OR very tight clothes that bring out your proportions and changmin is on the ground, salivating like the touch deprived man he is.
juhaknyeon is on the same ‘slapping the ass’ train as kevin. honestly, he probably gets off of it too. the one to go absolutely crazy when you wear tight jeans and your ass just looks so holdable.
ahem, riding sunwoo with your back pressed against his chest while he controls your pace with his hands on your hips, but also simultaneously gripping and squeezing your ass because he loves it.
boobs: jacobus, younghoon, juyeon, chanhee, eric
elaboration:
jacob… my man jacob.. 😩 depending on your boobs like on life support. no pillow? here! your boobs are available, comfy as fuck for jacob to lay his head down. just really appreciates them, sometimes you think he loves your boobs more than you lmao.
younghoon looks like the guy to love leaving bruises/hickeys all over your tits till they look like a damn painting. and him just detaching himself to look at his masterpiece with that smirk of his? heaven if i must say myself.
have y’all seen juyeon’s hands?? do i have to say anything else?? god jesus fuck, enormous veiny af hands oh no do i have a thing for hands.. just imagining how easily they would cup your breasts, hiding them under his palms and squeezing them,, it’s like they were made to hold your tits<3
now chanhee really made me overthink bc he gives me the energy of both ass and boobs but hear me out on this.. a low neckline shirt/dress always makes him go horny bc he can see the silhouettes of your boobs and it’s like game over for him.
eric nuzzling his face into your chest when he’s sad or sulky or annoyed with something. again, gives me the loving vibes just like jacob. but i also kind of see him more on a freakier side, for example, cumming on your chest bc he loves how pretty it looks ☺️

the star of my life
member: haknyeon genre: fluff (requested) word count: 1,277 synopsis: torn between his friendship with jaehyun and his love for you, haknyeon finds himself in a predicament.
Haknyeon had secretly been crushing on you ever since he first met you back in freshman year of high school. But you were Jaehyun’s little sister and he was Jaehyun’s best friend. He was too afraid to confess because on top of being shy, Jaehyun made it very clear that he absolutely hated the idea of having any of his friends romantically involved with his sister.
Like that, high school flew by and he graduated without ever pursuing you. By the time college came around, Kevin had already been aware of his feelings for years. Yet the Lee siblings still had no clue.
“Now that you and Y/n are both adults, what’s stopping you from confessing?” Kevin asked as he sipped on his americano.
“Jaehyun,” Haknyeon sighed. “He still sees her as a little kid. Which doesn’t make any sense because she’s literally the same age as me and I’m friends with him. But I can’t betray his trust and go behind his back.”
“So don’t,” Kevin shrugged. “Just tell him straight up that you like her and that you want to ask her out.”
“Yeah, like he’d ever give his blessing,” Haknyeon snorted. Wary of the time, he glanced at his watch and got up. “Anyway, I’m meeting up with Y/n to study together so I’ll see you later.”
And with that, he left the cafe to meet you at the library. You both had an exam coming up next week and were cramming to memorize a semester’s worth of information.
After 3 hours of studying, you let out a sigh and laid your head on the desk with a bang.
“We’ve been going at this nonstop and there’s still so much left,” you whined.
In an attempt to lift your mood, a mischievous grin spread across Haknyeon’s lips as he began to sing Oh My Girl’s “Nonstop”. Half embarrassed and half amused, you held back a laugh as you shushed him.
“This is a library!” you whispered while giggling.
“So? This doesn’t cheer you up?” he teased, now singing Twice’s “Cheer Up”.
This time, you exploded in laughter, warranting glares from other students. Quietly apologizing, you slapped Haknyeon’s arm.
“I think our focus is long gone now. Wanna get out of here and go for some ice cream?” he whispered.
You gave into the temptation and decided to reward yourself for working hard. After paying for your favorite flavor at Baskin Robbins, you happily walked out with your cone stacked with scoops.
After taking a bite of the ice cream, you were too busy eating to realize a bit of it smudged on the edge of your lips. Chuckling, Haknyeon wiped it away with a napkin he grabbed from the store.
“So messy,” he joked. “What would you do without me, Y/n?”
“Well, I’ll always have you so I don’t have to worry about that,” you stuck out your tongue.
Your words struck him harder than you could ever imagine. For years, it was a given that he would remain by your side. But he always feared the day you would find another guy and fall in love. It was only a matter of time before it happened if he never acted on his feelings.
It suddenly hit him that if he continued to do nothing, he would eventually have to watch someone else take his place next to you. That was enough to fill him with determination. He decided to finally step up and be honest for once. With Jaehyun and with you.
So the next day, he nervously asked Jaehyun to meet. The older male was completely unassuming as he ordered a coffee, oblivious to Haknyeon’s fingers that fiddled with the cup of juice in front of him.
Taking a deep breath, Haknyeon chose to avoid beating around the bush.
“I like Y/n,” he blurted. “Not just as a friend but as a girl.”
Jaehyun blinked. Once, then twice, and then a third time.
“Dude, she’s my baby sister. She’s off limits.”
“She’s only 2 years younger than you. She’s not a baby. We’re the same age but you don’t see me as a baby.”
Awkward silence filled the air until Jaehyun finally spoke up.
“Why Y/n? Why her out of all girls?” he quietly asked.
“There’s no specific reason why. I just do. I have since the day I met her. I spent all of high school hiding my feelings because I wanted to respect yours.”
The two of them fell into silence once again as Jaehyun processed everything Haknyeon said.
“If you lose Y/n, you’ll lose me too,” Jaehyun warned. It took a second for his words to register in Haknyeon’s head. When he realized what it meant, he beamed.
“Does that mean you’re okay with me going for her?” Haknyeon excitedly asked.
Hesitantly, Jaehyun nodded. Haknyeon jumped out of his seat and hugged the male in front of him. He felt like a weight had been lifted off his chest and was elated.
Eager to share the news, he quickly texted Kevin, who congratulated him. Now all that was left was confessing to you.
With adrenaline still pumping through his veins, he sent a message to you as well. After you agreed to meet him, however, he was stuped. He hadn’t thought this far yet. He had no idea how to confess.
Flowers? Chocolate? Panicking, he racked his brain for ideas.
Then, as if a lightbulb turned on, he came up with a brilliant plan. Smiling, he asked you to come to your apartment’s rooftop at 9. Though puzzled at the specific request, you shrugged it off and went along with it.
When you arrived at the designated time, you were surprised to see Haknyeon waiting with a blanket spread out on the floor.
“Care for some star-gazing?” he patted the empty seat next to him.
Giggling, you joined him on the blanket. The sky was unusually clear, allowing you to admire the stars.
“Do you remember the day we met?” he suddenly asked. “It was actually right here. I stopped by your place to drop off a game for Jaehyun and he told me about this eclipse that was happening that night. So I headed up to the rooftop first and saw you with this ridiculously large telescope.”
He chuckled at the fond memory, bringing a smile to your lips as well.
“I was really into astronomy back then,” you nodded.
“Yeah, you rambled on about the difference between a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse. And the difference between an occultation and a transit,” he reminisced.
“I can’t believe you still remember that,” you laughed.
“Of course I do. That’s the day I fell for you,” he suddenly confessed, turning to meet your eyes. “The image of you excitedly sharing your passion with a complete stranger is forever ingrained in my mind. And since that day, my feelings for you have only grown deeper and stronger.”
You were shocked to say the least. Your friendship with Haknyeon had always been different from your friendship with your other guy friends. A tiny part of you knew that you liked him in a way that was different from the way you liked Kevin.
You had only ever dreamed of a moment like this. But now that it was actually happening, you were drawing a blank.
“It took me too long to ask this but would you please be my girlfriend, Y/n?” he sheepishly asked.
Still stunned, you couldn’t bring yourself to speak. Instead, you closed your eyes and pressed your lips against his. Taking that as your answer, Haknyeon smiled into the kiss.

Complete Me
(header by @sunlightwoo)
Part of the Time Capsule collaboration hosted by @atbzkingdom
Genres: romance, modern magic au
Pairing: Reader & Haknyeon (The Boyz)
Words: 8.4k (00:33)
Notes: this story focuses a bit more on family than romance, so it might not be some people’s cup of tea
When the Viridian dorm manager hands Haknyeon his room key, he gets a bit confused.
“Sorry, um,” he says as he tries to hand her back the key over the counter. “I think you might’ve mixed the keys up. I’m in room 101.”
She frowns, glancing back at her computer, where Haknyeon’s student information is onscreen. “No... you’re in 132. It says so right here.”
“But you guys always put me in a solo room. Isn’t 132 a double?”
The dorm manager pauses to think for a second, and her eyes widen as she claps her hands together. “Oh! You’re the ice user, aren’t you?”
Haknyeon nods.
“Right, sorry. I haven’t had my coffee yet this morning.” She laughs a bit, clicking her mouse while her eyes flit over the computer screen. “I had an email about that somewhere... Ah, here it is.”
Wanting to lean over the front desk and read the email for himself, Haknyeon bites the inside of his cheek instead and waits.
“Yeah, looks like they found a roommate for you since the solo rooms are getting reno’d this year.”
“Really?” Haknyeon asks in disbelief. “I thought I couldn’t have one because... you know...”
He’s always had a single room because wherever he is for too long, it’s freezing cold. Haknyeon doesn’t mean to make it cold, but with ice magic flowing through his veins, he can’t exactly control himself. It’s relatively fine in classrooms and training grounds, but small spaces like a dorm room, where he spends hours inside, there’s no denying it would be uncomfortable for anyone but Haknyeon.
He might make everything around him cold, but it’s never bothered him. Not that he can’t feel cold, exactly, it’s simply not an unpleasant thing. His nose doesn’t get runny, his fingers don’t get numb, and he’s never been afraid of frostbite.
“Don’t worry,” she says. “I’m sure they picked someone who can handle it.”
=
“Haknyeon!”
At the sound of his name, Haknyeon looks up from his phone and turns around to see Sunwoo bounding down the busy hallway towards him. Sunwoo jumps up to him, wrapping one arm over Haknyeon’s shoulders and almost knocking them both to the floor in the process. The skin of his arm brushes against the back of Haknyeon’s neck, and he quickly moves so there’s no direct contact.
“Still cold as always, Haknyeon,” Sunwoo says with that signature grin Haknyeon hasn’t seen since before summer break. “Can’t warm up for little old me?”
“I’d warm up for anyone if I could, you know that.”
Sunwoo taps the side of his head. “Of course. Now what’s this about you getting a roommate?”
“I don’t think I’ll ever get used to that,” Haknyeon says as they continue walking down the hall. “The--”
“Mind reading?” Sunwoo cuts him off. “Me neither. So, room 132? That’s sweet, I’m 129.”
“Yeah, apparently they found someone to room with me this year. They won’t be moving in until tonight, though.”
“And they’re cool with freezing their ass off in their sleep?”
Sunwoo may be one of the few students at Viridian that’s willing to touch Haknyeon, but even he doesn’t want to share a bedroom with him.
“I guess so.”
Nodding, Sunwoo hums. “Hey, did you hear about the new transfer kid?”
“Was I supposed to?”
Viridian is a big school. Out of the hundreds of students, Haknyeon can only know so many, and he doesn’t often keep up with gossip -- especially when it comes to Sunwoo. As a telepath, he knows a lot more than he cares to. Sometimes he complains his brain is going to explode once he finally hears too much, which is why he shares all the information with Haknyeon as a way to unwind. Haknyeon doesn’t mind it. (He usually tunes Sunwoo out anyways.)
“Apparently, they’re a pyro,” Sunwoo continues instead of answering Haknyeon’s question.
“A pyro?” Haknyeon’s eyes widen. “The one from Haneul?!”
One of the few pyrokinetics in the country is said to be Haknyeon’s age, and according to what he’s heard last, they go to Haneul Academy for Magic Users. Or, he should say now, went there.
Sunwoo grins again. “So you have heard.”
“Yeah, from the news like two years ago! What are they doing at Viridian?”
“That’s the thing. Word’s going around that--” Sunwoo glances away from Haknyeon for a second, but none of the other students are paying attention to them. “--they got expelled for violence.”
Haknyeon’s eyebrows go up. “Seriously? And you think it’s true?”
“Well, you know how rumours get. But I do know one thing.”
“What?”
“Back at Haneul, they had a nickname because of how cold they are to everyone,” Sunwoo explains. “People call them Blue Flame.”
=
Since it’s the first day, Viridian gives the students the morning to settle in. The afternoon class is always the first one you take. Most people don’t mind, except when their first class of the year is combat -- nobody likes getting the crap beat out of them on the first day of school.
“You all know I’m not one for sappy introductions,” Coach Reyes shouts through the arena. “So we’re going to get straight into it. Today’s lesson is on restraint.”
Haknyeon stands in a line with the other students, his feet shoulder-width apart, hands folded neatly behind his back just like the rest.
Coach Reyes continues, walking along the line of students and eyeing each one with her critical gaze. A lot of first years are scared of Reyes when they first step into the arena. Some never really get over that.
“You can’t always hit your enemy until you win. Sometimes, finding the quickest way to restrain your opponent is the best answer. Haknyeon.”
“Yes Coach.” He straightens his back a bit more, his voice echoing off the arena walls.
“You were my best student last year,” she explains. “So you’ll help demonstrate today.”
“Yes Coach.”
Reyes watches as Haknyeon steps forward out of the line. He waits for her next instruction with his eyes pointed straight ahead, but there’s a beat where she says nothing, and he glances over at her. She’s looking at another student in the line that he can’t quite see.
“And you,” Reyes says. “New kid. You’ll be his opponent.”
You step forward, chin up and hands clasped behind your back. Haknyeon’s eyes widen.
The pyrokinetic from Haneul.
“Yes Coach,” you say, voice even and steady.
Reyes sends you two up to one of the mats, getting the rest of the students to watch from the sidelines. Haknyeon stands, unsure of himself, across the mat from you. He can’t read anything from the look in your eyes.
He doesn’t even know your name yet.
“The basic idea of restraint is to stop your opponent from causing any further damage,” Reyes tells the class. “If you can do that, you’ve won.”
You bend your arms above your head, stretching and prepping yourself for the spar.
“Haknyeon’s ice powers are ideal for restraint. Being able to create a physical barrier around an enemy should be the easiest way to keep someone still. However--” Reyes gestures at you. “--Haknyeon’s opponent today is a pyrokinetic, meaning they may be able to push past his advantage.”
Slapping her palm against the mat, Reyes makes eye contact with both you and Haknyeon. “Once you’re both ready, start.”
Haknyeon looks at you once more. “Ready?”
You spread your feet and ball your hands into fists, nodding. “Ready.”
Not wanting to come out the gate too strong, Haknyeon simply keeps his hands at his sides, ice tickling at his fingertips. You circle each other, both waiting for the other to make the first move.
Haknyeon lunges forward. Reyes said this was about efficiency.
You dodge his first attempt better than he expected you would, but he follows up with another jab towards you, his hand wrapping around one of your wrists. Ice creeps up your sleeve. You jerk out of his grip before the ice can cement you to him, twisting and kicking him in the side. He grunts, staggering a bit, but he recovers fast enough to dodge the next kick you have aimed at his neck. Straightening up again, Haknyeon meets your eyes. You shake the arm covered in ice, and some of it cracks and slips off.
A breath puffs past your lips. Haknyeon gets up close and personal again, this time sliding around your legs and letting his fingers brush onto your shoes. For a second, you’re stuck to the mat.
But only a second.
Haknyeon doesn’t see any flames, but you’re on him in a flash, your arms linking through his and trying to get him into some sort of armlock. He’s able to elbow you in the side and slip free, stepping back only for a single thought to permeate in his mind.
Why aren’t you using your fire?
He doesn’t have much time to think about it, though, because you’re on him again. Somehow, you get behind him and shove your foot into the back of his knee, knocking him to the floor. He barely has time to react before his cheek is squished into the mat and your knee is digging into his back.
His ice threatens to burst out from his fingertips before his brain knows what to do with it, but suddenly, he feels something strange on the backs of his hands.
You press your palms on his hands, keeping them stuck to the mat. The strange feeling radiates from you, but it’s strongest where your skin touches his.
Haknyeon can feel his ice receding. It’s never done that before.
“Good.” Coach Reyes’ voice pierces through whatever trance Haknyeon’s in, and he can only sort of register when you ease off of him.
Awkwardly, he gets to his feet, a bit embarrassed to look at the astonished faces of his classmates. They’ve never seen him lose before.
“Alright.” Reyes claps her hands together, gathering back the attention of her class. “Get in partners and discuss with each other how you think you could best restrain someone with your ability.” She waves her hand lazily in Haknyeon’s direction. “You two stick together for today.”
“Yes coach--”
A phone rings. You run over to the folded bleachers, digging through your bag to find your phone. Your eyes widen at whatever is on the screen, and before Coach Reyes can stop you, you’re already out the arena doors with the phone at your ear.
Reyes doesn’t bother chasing after you -- that’s not her style, but Haknyeon watches her click her tongue, and he knows she’s not going to forget this anytime soon.
=
“No seriously,” Sunwoo prods. “They pinned you down that quickly? And there wasn’t even any fire?”
Haknyeon’s eyes trail along the floor of the dorm hallway, his hands in his pockets. “How many times do I have to tell you? Can’t you just read my memory?”
“Just because I can hear your thoughts doesn’t mean I have to believe ‘em.” Sunwoo forms his lips into a thoughtful pout, his eyes pointed at the ceiling. “Sure, if you told me the pyro beat your ice powers in combat, I would believe you, but with no fire? I thought you were the prodigy.”
“I never said I was.”
“Yeah, but other people thought it.”
Haknyeon chuckles a bit, rolling his eyes. He’s not too discouraged about the afternoon’s events. More... he’s perplexed. The memory of your hands pressed on his washes over him. In his mind, he tries to recreate the feeling that flowed through your skin to his, but he just can’t. He’s never felt something like that before.
The boys reach Haknyeon’s room first, and he fumbles with his key for a second.
The knob turns, and the door swings open, revealing you behind it. You’ve got a towel and some pyjama’s in your arms. You must be on your way to the dorm showers.
...from his room.
You don’t react as much as either of the boys do seeing them there, and while they’re still gawking, you shift your stuff to one arm and stick out the other.
“Looks like we’re roommates,” you say.
Looks like it.
Without thinking ahead, Haknyeon reaches his hand out to yours, fingers brushing against your palm before you close your grip around his hand. The usual reaction to touching Haknyeon’s skin is a quick recoil; no one likes how cold he feels, but you don’t draw back.
The strange feeling returns, and Haknyeon can’t take his eyes off your joined hands.
A moment that would be awkward if Haknyeon was paying attention passes, and it’s only broken when Sunwoo cuts in.
“I’m Sunwoo.” At his interruption, you let go of Haknyeon and move to shake Suwnoo’s hand instead. He pulls back much faster than Haknyeon. “Wow, your hand is... really warm.”
You frown, your hand falling to your side. “I can’t just turn it off.”
With that, you push past them, off to the dorm accommodations.
Sunwoo watches you go, his hands moving to his pockets. “Blue Flame, huh...”
Paying him no attention, Haknyeon just looks at his hand again. Sunwoo’s words repeat in his head.
your hand is really warm
This feeling... is it warmth?
=
You don’t spend a lot of time in the dorm room. In fact, Haknyeon barely sees you outside of the two classes you share with him -- combat and statistics. Sometimes he’ll wake up in the middle of the night for no reason at all, and you’ll be curled up in your bed, but other than that, it’s like Haknyeon is one person in a two-person room.
Since he doesn’t even see you more than any other person at the school he isn’t living with, there hasn’t been any more chances for skin contact.
God, that makes him sound like a creep...
It’s not that he is one, he just can’t shake the feeling of warmth he felt from your hands that very first day. He’s never felt warmth before, so he can’t be sure that’s what it was, but it makes sense.
As an ice user, Haknyeon radiates cold. You’re a fire user.
“Yeah, that makes sense,” Sunwoo says out of nowhere, having walked up behind Haknyeon in the cafeteria and read his mind. “But what’s the difference between them and, like, a furnace?”
Unfazed by Sunwoo’s telepathy, Haknyeon simply answers, “I don’t know. Magic, maybe?”
“Surprisingly, ‘magic, maybe’ is the answer to a lot of shit here.” Sunwoo’s sarcasm through his bright smile makes Haknyeon laugh, and he’s almost able to forget about you.
Almost.
It’s been more than a month since you came to Viridian, and he hasn’t spoken more than a few short exchanges with you. He feels like he might’ve made a bad second impression that night in the doorway of his room, but he also sort of blames that on Sunwoo.
“Rude,” Sunwoo says before taking a bite of his lunch. “It’s not my fault you clammed up like loser.”
=
Although Haknyeon has shared countless combat classes with you, neither him nor anyone else has ever seen you use you fire. Coach Reyes rags on you about it, but you keep proving that you can hold your own without any flame, so Reyes' comments fade out eventually.
=
The downpour outside is almost exaggeratingly harsh, so much so that Haknyeon expects something to go wrong. He should stop thinking like that every time it rains, but he can’t help it.
The Sunday has been quiet so far aside from the rain, a cuddle-up-indoors kind of day by all accounts. Still, you’re not in the room. Haknyeon has no idea where you are, knowing you didn’t sign up for weekend leave, but there isn’t really anywhere else to be on campus. You’re in the dorm cafeteria even less than the room. Really, he never knows where you go when you disappear.
Rumours have gone around that you sneak off to smoke between classes, but for mostly baseless reasons, Haknyeon just doesn’t believe it.
The homework on his desk isn’t getting done when all Haknyeon can focus on is the rain, so he gives up and leans back in his chair, staring out the window and listening to the drumming of water against the pavement. It’s not quite dark yet, but the sky is a mix of dark grey clouds and smears of orange sunset.
His phone rings.
Haknyeon furrows his brow at the sight of his little sister’s name on the screen. Strange; Suyeon hasn’t called him in over a year. Back when he first left home for schooling, she used to call him all the time, but (being fourteen) she’s moved into her moody teenager stage. Haknyeon doesn’t blame her, of course. He had his bad years too.
“Suyeon,” he says when he picks up the phone. “Hi.”
He can hear the sound of rain on the other end of the line. Is it raining back home, too?
For a second, Suyeon doesn’t say anything. She just sniffles, and Haknyeon frowns.
“Are you alright? What’s wrong?”
“Haknyeon...”
Slowly, Haknyeon rises from his chair, one hand on his desk while the other holds in phone to his ear. “Suyeon?”
“Where are you?” she asks, voice shaking.
“My dorm. Why?”
Suyeon sniffles again. “Haknyeon, I... I’m at your school, and I’m lost, and-- and I don’t know what I’m doing! It’s raining so hard, and I’m cold and I just wanna find you but I don’t know where to-- where to look. This place is like a freaking maze... Can you just tell me where to go, please?”
Already grabbing an umbrella, Haknyeon swings open the door and rushes down the hallway. “What the hell are you doing here?”
“It’s a long story.”
Her sobs make Haknyeon’s accusatory tone fizzle out immediately. He asks her what she sees so he can find her instead and rushes out into the pouring rain, the umbrella extended over him. The cold can’t bother him, but being wet still isn’t fun. Once he figures out where Suyeon is, he looks at his screen.
“My phone’s about to die, so just stay put, alright? I’ll find you.”
“Okay...”
His phone vibrates as it shuts down, and he shoves it haphazardly in his pocket. Haknyeon runs across campus, his shoes getting wet as he splashes through puddles.
When he finally finds Suyeon, he rushes up to her. Though, Haknyeon is unsure of what to make of the sight of Suyeon with her arms wrapped tightly around you. Her head is pressed to your front while you stand straight, your arms limp at your sides. He covers you all with the umbrella, standing directly behind Suyeon. From all that running, he’s out of breath.
You look at him, expression as blank as always. Rain drips off the tip of your nose. “Is this your sister?”
“How did you know?”
Shrugging, you look down at Suyeon. She wraps herself tighter around you, but for some reason, you don’t seem to mind. “She looks a lot like you.”
Suyeon sticks close to you on the way back to the dorm, and she’s so adamant about it that Haknyeon is the one to distract the dorm manager while you and her sneak in. Once safely hidden in your dorm room, she sits with you on your bed instead of with Haknyeon, much to his bewilderment. You towel down her soaking wet hair while she sits between your legs, silently twiddling her thumbs.
He chooses to move past the fact that Suyeon’s sitting with you, a complete stranger, over her own brother. It has to be because your body radiates warmth, and Suyeon is freezing from the cold.
That’s the thing, though. Just like Haknyeon, Suyeon shouldn’t feel cold, or at least, shouldn’t be bothered by it.
After a good while of silence, Haknyeon finally speaks. “What are you doing here, Suyeon?”
She looks up from her hands, bashful now that she’s mostly done crying.
“I...”
Haknyeon resists the urge to sigh. “You what?”
“I don’t know!” Suyeon shuts her eyes and falls back into your chest. Your eyes widen for half a moment before you relax. You don’t move to comfort her or anything, but you don’t make her get off, either. Haknyeon doesn’t have the time to wonder why.
“You don’t know, or you won’t tell me?”
Opening her eyes just to glare at him, Suyeon scowls. “Shut up.”
“You can’t just appear out of nowhere and not expect me to want answers, Suyeon,” Haknyeon explains, trying to keep his voice even. “Do mom and dad know you’re here?”
She looks down again. “No...”
Her answer sends worry through Haknyeon’s veins. From what it sounds like, Suyeon ran away from home -- quite the feat considering how far they live from Viridian.
Haknyeon pinches the bridge of his nose and scrunches his eyes shut with a sigh. “When did you last eat?”
“This morning...”
“Okay.” Haknyeon stands from his bed and moves to find his wallet. “I’m going to find some food for you. We’re going to talk when I get back.”
Suyeon doesn’t answer, but she nods.
The cafeteria is closed for the night, so he heads to one of the campus convenience stores instead. It doesn’t have as much selection as a regular convenience store, but it’ll do.
He stares at the snacks on the shelves, trying to remember what Suyeon likes.
“You didn’t tell me Suyeon was visiting.”
Haknyeon jumps at the sound of Sunwoo’s voice. “Cripes, Sunwoo. Why are you always everywhere?!”
Sunwoo smirks, grabbing a bag of gummy bears from the shelf. “My power was teleportation this whole time,” he jokes. “I’ve just been messing with you for years.”
“If you didn’t just read my mind, I might believe you.”
Laughing, Sunwoo puts one hand in his pocket. “Anyways, what’s this about Suyeon visiting? Do I finally get to meet her?”
“She’s not visiting.” Haknyeon grabs something he thinks he’s seen Suyeon eat before. “She’s just...”
Well, she hasn’t told him yet, so he doesn’t know either.
“Ooh, cryptic,” Sunwoo says. “Blue Flame is there too?”
“That’s not their name.”
Sunwoo chuckles. “Right, right. I forgot how weirdly sensitive you are about that.”
“No you didn’t.”
“No, I didn’t.”
Despite Sunwoo’s teasing, Haknyeon has more pressing matters to worry about. They both leave the convenience store after buying what they wanted, and they part ways after Haknyeon tells Sunwoo his sister really isn’t in the mood to meet anyone right now.
He makes sure that the hallway is empty before he opens the door to his room. Overnight guests have to be signed in ahead of time, and he doesn’t know how long Suyeon will be staying.
“How are you so fast?” Suyeon whines. You’re both still on your bed, but you’ve moved to sit across from each other, a game of cards set out between you.
“It gets easier the more you play,” you tell her with a smile.
(It’s the first time he’s seen one on you.)
Neither of you seem to notice that Haknyeon returned. He clears his throat, raising the plastic bag full of snacks. Suyeon’s eyes widen when she sees him, and you move to take the cards from her hands. She sends you a pleading look, but you just smile again and say, “We’ll keep playing after, okay? You’ve got to talk to him.”
Haknyeon tries his best not to get distracted by this completely new side of you. He raises an eyebrow at Suyeon, a bit offended that you managed to make her talk to him when he couldn’t convince her before. Pushing that thought aside, he walks up to your bed and crouches down beside it, looking up at Suyeon and taking her hand in his. A shiver runs through her, but her fingers tighten around him.
“Haknyeon...” Her face crumples into a frown, and her eyes glisten.
He nods, encouraging her to continue.
“...I think I’m a Blank.”
Oh.
The thing with Blanks is that they’re becoming more and more common. Ever since magic users were revealed and eventually integrated into the general public, the number of non-magic users born to magic users has grown because one parent of two is a normal human. Magic isn’t like genes. It usually passes down to children even if only one parent has a power, and it doesn’t dilute generation to generation. You are either a magic user or a Blank. There is no in between.
But Suyeon shouldn’t be a Blank.
As much as Haknyeon doesn’t like to admit it, his family has been silently elitist for centuries. They’ve only ever married and had children with other magic users, and those who didn’t were exiled from the family register. Both of Haknyeon and Suyeon’s parents have powers. Their father, ice, and their mother, temperature manipulation. Their children were practically bred to have powerful ice magic.
The least common type of Blank is one born to two magic users.
Suyeon can’t be a Blank. It’s not unheard of, but statistically, Haknyeon has a hard time wrapping his head around it.
Then Suyeon pulls her hand out of his. It’s too much for her.
“I’m too cold for you...” Haknyeon mumbles.
Suyeon looks at her own two hands, pupils shaking. “I’m sorry, I just... I’m not like you.”
When Haknyeon had first left home for his education, Suyeon wasn’t keen on touching him either. She was still waiting for her magic to manifest, and she’d been terribly anxious about it. Haknyeon’s had manifested at age seven, and at that point, she was already nine. Now, at fourteen, Haknyeon wonders if she’s been waiting for it -- and hating herself for not finding it -- all these years.
He longs to hold her hand again, but he doesn’t. Reminding her of what she doesn’t have... Haknyeon won’t do that to her.
His hands clench your sheets in them instead. “It’s alright, Suyeon. You’re fine just as you are.”
Haknyeon understands why she’s here now. Their parents must have been pressuring her over this for years, pressing for the eventual appearance of her powers when there are none. They were strict even on Haknyeon, whose ice was more powerful than his father’s at a young age. He can’t imagine what Suyeon’s had to suffer while home alone with them.
Today must have been the tipping point.
“I know,” she says, closing her eyes as her hands fall into her lap. “I think I’ve known for a long time -- who I am. I just... I couldn’t stay there any longer.”
Haknyeon nods. He doesn’t know what else to say, but he can’t comfort her with touch, either.
You clear your throat.
Clapping your hands together, you capture both of their attentions. “Well. Now that that’s done, do you want to continue our card game?”
Haknyeon looks at Suyeon again to gauge her reaction, worried, but her eyes light up, and she nods enthusiastically. You smile (that’s the third time today) and grab the deck, shuffling the cards like you’ve done it a million times. Suyeon scoots over and pats the newly-emptied spot beside her.
“You play too, Haknyeon.”
He’s hesitant to sit near Suyeon since his cold might reach her, but he can’t resist the look in her eyes.
You teach Haknyeon the card game for a while, Suyeon eager to pipe in when it’s clear she too just learned the game from you today, and the three of you play late into the night. You both force Suyeon to eat a hearty amount of snacks considering she hasn’t eaten since the morning. With how intense the game is when it comes to pairs, Haknyeon is surprised that Suyeon’s squeals and his unintentional groans when he loses good cards don’t earn them a noise complaint from the students next door. You stay mostly quiet throughout the multiple rounds, smiling at the two when Suyeon would whine about Haknyeon being a so-called cheater, or when he’d wave the cards in Suyeon’s face to brag about winning them.
Eventually, Suyeon yawns, tired from the day she’s had. She surrenders her cards, but when you two ask, she insists that you continue the game. Even though she says she’ll just watch as she lays down on her side, her eyes drift shut a few minutes later.
Cutting off the game early -- it could last until morning if not -- you pack up the cards, and Haknyeon realizes that his little sister has fallen asleep on your bed. He moves to wake her up, but your hand grabs his wrist, and his eyes widen.
He caught glimpses of your warmth during the game, but the feeling is so strong that he reacts just as stupidly as he did when he first felt it.
“Just let her be,” you whisper. “I’ll sleep on the floor.”
“I can’t make you do that.”
You smile softly. He’s getting used to it. “It’s fine. I’ve slept in worse places.”
Haknyeon wants to ask what that means, but it’s late, and he doesn’t know if he’s close enough to you yet. Though tonight felt like something friends would go through, he’s hesitant.
You probably sleep better than he does, with how much time he spends thinking.
=
When Haknyeon wakes up, Suyeon is still curled up on your bed, fast asleep, and you’re nowhere to be seen. Classes don’t start for at least another hour and a half, but Haknyeon is used to you leaving before he even opens his eyes. You can’t have been gone for long, though, since without you the temperature should’ve dropped to an uncomfortable level over time, and Suyeon probably would’ve woken up if it had.
He decides that for breakfast, he should get Suyeon a proper meal. Cafeteria food isn’t supposed to be taken out of the cafeteria, but he might be able to sneak some if he tries hard enough. After he gets dressed, he moves his hand to the doorknob. Before he can twist it, the door swings open, and he’s reminded of the first night he met you.
Holding a tray of cafeteria food, you blink at Haknyeon. “You’re up.”
He nods.
“I brought Suyeon some breakfast.”
He nods again. For obvious and stupid reasons, he can’t get used to talking to you. It had come so easily last night, but now that the shock has settled, he’s back to wondering what’s changed.
You push past him towards your bed and sit on the edge, holding the tray with one hand and rousing Suyeon to wake up with the other. Suyeon opens her eyes and sits up, and a tired smile graces her lips as soon as she sees the food you’ve brought her.
“How did no one see you?” Haknyeon asks eventually, pointing at the tray now on Suyeon’s lap.
You look at him. “People did see me.”
“But you didn’t get in trouble?”
“No.” Shrugging, you take a bit of Suyeon’s breakfast and pop it in your mouth. “People here are scared of me.”
Haknyeon isn’t surprised that you’ve noticed how the students of Viridian treat you, but he still feels bad.
“Why?” Suyeon asks, mouth partly full.
You turn to her, smile, and raise both hands up with curled fingers. “Because I’m scary.”
Suyeon snorts, covering her mouth as she laughs. You laugh a bit with her.
Haknyeon wonders how anyone could be scared of someone like you.
=
When Haknyeon inevitably gets a call from his mother, he lies out of his ass.
“No, I haven’t heard from her, mom,” he says. “Have you tried tracking her phone?”
(He told Suyeon the night before to shut her phone down for this exact reason, knowing their parents would go that far to find her. She’s currently hiding in his dorm room while he and you go to class.)
“She’s just such a troublemaker these days, Haknyeon,” his mom says with a prolonged sigh. “I wish she was more like you.”
Biting the inside of his cheek, Haknyeon holds himself back from saying rude. He had the privilege of being exactly what his parents wanted when he was Suyeon’s age -- a magic user.
“Have you considered that maybe she doesn’t want to be found?”
His mother clicks her tongue. “She’s only fourteen. She doesn’t know anything yet.”
Haknyeon ends the call soon after that.
=
You spend more time in you and Haknyeon’s room than you ever had before.
It’s mostly because you need to be there to keep the temperature even for Suyeon, but aside from that, you seem to have taken a real liking to her. You and her don’t run out of things to talk about, and you even let her paint your nails.
Why Suyeon packed nail polish in the backpack she brought, Haknyeon doesn’t know, but the smile on her face when he lets her paint his nails too makes him not care.
It’s been four days.
The more you bring extra food back to the room, the more whispers about you fly through Viridian. You don’t seem to mind. Every time you walk back to the room with a tray in hand, you keep your head held high, and Haknyeon can’t help but be impressed. If it were him, he’d probably crumble under the pressure.
Suyeon’s slept in his bed since the second night, swaddled up in multiple blankets to keep herself warm while he tries to stick as close to the wall as he can. The dorm beds aren’t very big at all, but Suyeon insisted Haknyeon sleep on the bed with her rather than the floor, and he can’t say no to her.
Your presence in the room makes it a lot better.
It has to be Suyeon’s influence that brought this change upon you, Haknyeon thinks, because while you two stretch together during combat class, you actually talk to him for once.
Both of you are usually partners for combat since you two are closest in terms of equal opponents. According to Reyes, it’d be “unfair” to pair you up with others in the class.
Still, even though you’ve been partnered up plenty of times before, this is the first time you’ve spoken with him about something other than combat.
“Do you have a plan?”
Haknyeon doesn’t have to ask you to clarify; he knows exactly what you’re talking about.
“No.” He lowers his arm and moves to stretch the other one. “Any ideas?”
You show a tiny smiles, and he looks around for a second, wondering if anyone else notices. No one does.
“We could hide her here forever,” you joke. “I’m getting used to her being around.”
“Me too.”
A silence befalls you both for a minute or so, and Haknyeon watches your facial expressions as you think. Eventually, you lift your gaze from the floor to him again, concern written on your face.
“Do your parents know she’s a Blank?”
Haknyeon shrugs, already knowing the answer. “Either they don’t, or they’re denying it. Either way, home isn’t a good place for Suyeon right now.”
You nod.
“Alright,” Coach Reyes’ voice booms through the arena. “Today’s lesson is on pressure points.”
=
Since it’s impossible to keep a secret from Sunwoo anyways, Haknyeon lets him crash one evening. He barges into the room like he owns the place, a bunch of snacks tucked into one arm and a pack of Uno cards in his opposite hand. You’ve gone out for a second to god knows where, so Sunwoo immediately complains about the temperature of the room.
“Whew, Haknyeon. Did you crank up the AC or something?”
Haknyeon just rolls his eyes and introduces him to Suyeon, who smiles brightly at him.
You come back a few minutes later, while Sunwoo and Suyeon are choosing which snacks to open first much too seriously. It’s funny, in a way.
Sunwoo looks up at the sound of the door opening, and he smiles at you.
“The famous Blue Flame,” he muses.
Letting out an amused sigh and rolling your eyes, you shut the door behind you. “Oh, you’re one of those types, I see.”
Sunwoo casually holds his hands up and out. “What can I say?”
You join them all on the floor in the middle of the room, eyes roaming the snacks that have been carefully lined up between everyone. “I never understood that nickname,” you tell Sunwoo. “It’s like, the “Blue” part is because I’m a cold person, right? But the blue part of a flame is the hottest. It just doesn’t make sense.”
“You don’t mind people calling you that?” Haknyeon asks.
Shrugging, you purse your lips. “I know it’s supposed to be kinda derogatory, but honestly, it’s a pretty cool nickname. Blue Flame.”
“You’re really resilient,” Suyeon says, not paying that much attention as she finally picks which snack she wants to open.
“I guess so.”
Uno is as chaotic as he expected it to be. Suyeon is just a loud person in general when she gets excited, and Haknyeon will admit he gets a bit rambunctious as well. Sunwoo promises he’s not using his mind reading to cheat, but he manages to stop Haknyeon from winning too many times to go under the radar.
Hours pass without feeling like hours, and soon enough Suyeon is knocked out on Haknyeon’s bed while the three of you sit on the floor and talk quietly about nothing. Sunwoo drags on about his chemistry class for way too long to be normal, but both you and Haknyeon just listen in silence, too tired to care about the topic of conversation.
“But I have to ask,” Sunwoo says after a while, and you raise an eyebrow. “Rumours are that you got kicked out of Haneul for violence.”
You laugh quietly, just a puff of air through your nose, and lean back against the side of your bed. “And those rumours are backed up by...?”
“No one.”
“That’s what I thought.” You tap your finger against your thigh. “If I was kicked out for violence, there’s no way they’d let me in here. Trust me, the paperwork was hell. I had to read it all, like, four times, and the clauses didn’t allow any room for that sort of thing.”
A quiet laugh rumbles out of Sunwoo, accompanied by a tired smile. “So why are you here?”
“My dad transferred to a branch related to Viridian, so my tuition is cheaper here. Simple as that.”
“Don’t you want to just tell people that?” Haknyeon asks. “You know, to stop all the rumours?”
You stop to think for a second, then shake your head. “It’s a lot of work to change people’s minds. I don’t have enough energy to care what random people think about me.”
“I like you,” Sunwoo says. “Let’s be friends.”
=
Though he knew this sort of thing wasn’t out of the realm of possibility, Haknyeon’s heart still drops when he and you walk into you room to the sound of Suyeon crying.
She’s curled up on his bed under layers of blankets, sniffles and sobs permeating through. He approaches her quickly, his hand reaching out to take hers, but he stops when he remembers he can’t touch her for long. What would be the point of holding her hand if he can only do it for so many seconds?
He closes his eyes, cursing himself for not being able to hold Suyeon at a time like this.
Warmth -- he somewhat recognizes the feeling now -- spreads from his arm when you place your hand on his wrist. His ice recedes, and silently, you guide his hand towards Suyeon’s again. You don’t force him to touch her, but when he meets your eyes, Haknyeon knows your intentions.
Try this, he reads from your lips.
Tentatively, he touches Suyeon’s fingers. Her head immediately pops out of the mound of blankets, face all red and blotchy from crying. She looks confused more than anything, though. Wrapping her hand around Haknyeon’s, she rubs her fingers around him, brows furrowing more and more as she does so. She sits up, one hand still holding the blankets around her while the other moves to his face. Haknyeon stares in awe as her fingers graze over his cheeks. Does he not feel cold to her with you’re holding his wrist? Does it reach as far as his face?
Suyeon’s expression crumples as she lets out another sob, and before Haknyeon can react, she throws herself around him. Her arms wrap around his waist, and she tucks her face in his shoulder, crying loudly once again. He doesn’t know how to react at first -- he hasn’t hugged anyone in years -- but after a few seconds, he closes his eyes and wraps one arm around Suyeon. He pats her back, working hard to hold back tears of his own.
“We’re going to be okay, Suyeon,” he promises. “We’re going to be okay.”
=
After the first time, you end up helping Haknyeon and Suyeon more than he’d like to admit. Suyeon seems adamant about hugging -- or at least sticking close to -- Haknyeon now that she knows she can, and Haknyeon won’t deny that years without skinship have made him a bit deprived. Still, he feels bad that you have to be there, touching him, for it to work.
You don’t seem to mind for some reason. Haknyeon chalks it up to you being a casual person, or you just being happy to help Suyeon in this way.
Often, it’s that you sit to the side, holding his wrist while Suyeon snuggles into him, but sometimes, it’s his hand that you hold.
Before he’d ever felt warmth, Haknyeon never blushed. He wasn’t capable of it. But with you touching him, everything he’s ever known as normal is tossed out the window.
=
Once Coach Reyes ends the combat class for the day, you and Haknyeon collapse to the padded floor together, sweaty and exhausted from the grueling lesson. He spreads his arms out, panting hard as he stares at the ceiling.
You grab one of his hands and press it to your forehead. Surprised, Haknyeon whips his head to the side to gawk wide-eyed at you, but you just smile back at him.
“Sorry,” you say. You don’t really sound sorry. “Your hand feels really cool.”
Haknyeon almost chokes on nothing.
=
Suyeon wants to watch a movie.
It ends up like this: Haknyeon sits on his bed in between the both of you, his back leaning on the wall while the computer rests on his lap. Suyeon has her head leaning on him and her arm linked through his. You’re on his other side, your hand holding his like it’s the most natural thing in the world.
You’ve progressed to holding his hand more and more, and Haknyeon’s gotten used to the way your fingers feel interlocked with his. He almost misses the feeling whenever he has to go without it, which is stupid, considering that’s most of the time.
Neither of you have addressed it.
The movie is fine, but it’s quite late, and Haknyeon’s tired, so most of it goes by in a blur. Before it even finishes, though, Suyeon falls sound asleep on his shoulder.
“Want to call it for the night?” you ask in a low voice, careful not to wake Suyeon.
Haknyeon languidly turns his head to face you, mesmerized by the way you look lit only by the screen of his laptop. He doesn’t know why he says what he says; he just does.
“Why don’t you use your fire?”
You blink. “Because it hurts people.”
Haknyeon wants to question further, but he doesn’t know how. You continue anyways.
“Burns don’t heal the same way as anything else. There’s always a scar. If I ever really need it, maybe one day, I’ll use it. Just not here. I can’t imagine hurting you like that.”
Closing his eyes, Haknyeon breathes in your words like oxygen, and he slowly leans forward until his forehead touches yours. You both sit there, together, and though Haknyeon’s eyes are closed, he hopes you are smiling too.
=
“I think we should talk to mom and dad,” Haknyeon says, hands clasped together and elbows on his knees as he sits in the chair at his desk.
On his bed, Suyeon pouts. “Why?” she whines. “Can’t I just stay here?”
“It’s been too long.” Running a hand through his hair, Haknyeon tries to talk calmly. He’s practiced this conversation too many times in his head for it to go sideways. “The police are involved, and eventually, they’re going to look here, too.”
“Can’t I stay until then?”
He shakes his head. “That will get you and me in a lot more trouble than we want. Them too.” He points at you. Earlier, you told him you’d let him have a private conversation with Suyeon, so you’ve got your noise cancelling headphones in. “You don’t want to get them in trouble with the police for helping us, right?”
Suyeon gives you a solemn glance, shoulders drooping in defeat. “No...”
Haknyeon hates to guilt her, but he really thinks this is the best way to go about it.
“We’ll go together,” he says. “I’ll be there the entire time, and I won’t leave until everything is okay again.”
“What if it’s never okay again?”
Haknyeon doesn’t want to think like that, but the tiny chance that it might be that way makes him pause to think. “Then... you can come back with me. We’ll figure something out, okay?”
Suyeon doesn’t look thrilled, but slowly, she nods.
“Okay.”
=
On the last night before she’ll have to leave, Suyeon wants to fall asleep in Haknyeon’s arms. He tries to talk her out of it because it means you’ll have to sit on Haknyeon’s bed and hold his hand until Suyeon falls asleep, but you agree right away. You’re too accommodating to Suyeon, he thinks, but he decides to let her have this since it may be the last time in a while.
He lies on his back, Suyeon curled into him on one side and you sitting at the edge of the bed on the other. One of your hands rests on his while you scroll through your phone.
After he’s let too much time pass by -- Suyeon fell asleep over over half an hour ago -- he whispers your name.
You click your phone off and turn to look at him.
Haknyeon means to tell you that you can let go. He means to tell you that he’ll take his arm out from under Suyeon, and that you can go back to sleep in your own bed. He means to say all that, but he doesn’t.
What he says instead is your name again, quieter this time, so quiet that you lean even closer and go, “Hm?”
He lets go of your hand, and you look puzzled for a moment before he reaches up and cups your face.
“Thank you,” he whispers.
“You’re welcome.”
He’s not sure if it’s his hand that brings you closer or you that leans in or both, but eventually his eyes close, and your foreheads are touching again.
Your lips are dry when they touch his, but he doesn’t care.
=
Even though it’s a long bus ride home from Viridian -- hours and hours of nervously awaiting the confrontation he’ll have to have with his parents -- Haknyeon doesn’t mind it so much when you’re there to hold his hand. Both of you said it was for Suyeon and the other passengers on the bus, saying that if Haknyeon made the whole vehicle cold, no one would be happy, but Haknyeon was completely lying. He just wanted you there.
He thinks Suyeon knows. She smiles at him in the way only teasing fourteen-year-olds can when she catches him staring at you, and she wiggles her eyebrows anytime he tries to defend himself. Still, she says nothing about you coming on the bus with them, probably just happy to have you here so she can sleep on Haknyeon’s shoulder during the long drive.
When they finally reach home, Haknyeon stands at the front door of the estate, suddenly realizing how small it can make someone feel.
“I’ll be right outside,” you tell them both with a smile. It doesn’t do much to relax him now that it’s really time, but he can’t help smiling back, at least.
“Thank you,” he says again.
You nod, not needing to say anything else. Turning one last time to Suyeon, you set both your hands on her shoulders. “You can do this.”
Suyeon takes a deep breath, and though you all know this won’t be easy, a feeling of accomplishment settles between you just being here.
“I can do this.”

Angstober D2: Fools - Juhaknyeon
Navigation
Angstober 2021 Masterlist
The Boyz Masterlist
Pairing: Juhaknyeon x GN Reader
Genre: Angst, Implied Smut (mentions no actual explicit content), College Au
Summary: He played you for a fool, but it was too late to take back your feelings now.
Warnings: Player themes, kind of cheating (they were never in a relationship though, so), mentions/implications of sex.
Word Count: 479
Juhaknyeon didn’t have a great reputation, in fact, he had a rather bad reputation. Most college students did though...didn’t they? I mean they were known for partying and drinking too much, not to mention high sex drives. Still, that all seemed rather understandable given the high-stress environment you were all in. Each person had their own way of blowing off steam and who were you to judge? You weren’t someone who always made the wisest of decisions either.
Compared to the stereotypical trouble-chasing college student though, you were nothing. Often keeping on the quiet side of things instead. Juhaknyeon on the other hand was the exact opposite, making the stereotypical students look like saints compared to him. He couldn’t care less either, he did what he wanted without a care for the feelings of others. If he desired it, then it was his no matter how it affected others. He was cunning about it though, good at putting up a front that could get others to let him in for his personal benefit even if they would have sent him running had they known the truth.
You so happened to be one of his latest victims as well, having let him play you without thinking too much of it. You cursed your inner hopeless romantic knowing it’s what led to your heart being so easily deceived, but it didn’t much matter now, what’s done is done. Yet, you struggled to accept it. There seemed to be so many things he had promised you, but you never got them and that’s what made it so hard. He has sweet-talked his way into your heart and into your bed, making you think there was something between you only for you to not hear from him. It wasn’t simply ghosting though, no you spotted him leaving another person’s room half-naked the very next night as if he hadn’t just been in your arms the day before. Sharing passionate kisses and sweet, lustful words.
Juhaknyeon’s head tilted, taking in your form, no doubt resembling that of a kicked puppy as you approached him, he seemed unfazed, however, “I’m not going to apologize.”
“Not even for breaking your promises to me?” You ask, wishing your voice could be as steady as his while you took in the fact that he had yet another new prospect at his side now.
“What promises? Did I ever actually promise you anything? Or is that just how you interpreted things?” He has the audacity to laugh at you in this state, “Let me make one thing very clear Y/N, because it seems to me like you didn’t get it... there was only one thing I ever wanted from you, and now that I’ve already gotten it I have no use for you anymore. It was fun, but just a game, and I’m over it now, ready for something...new.”
