Just as Eldes said he should, Michael heads home to his family, lauded as a hero by the celebrating people of the Orre region. And this is how the game ends. I have to say that while I enjoyed it and will probably play it again, I liked it considerably less than I did its prequel.

I don't know how much of it was intentional and how much of it was due to unintended consequences of making certain aspects of the gameplay smoother, but it feels like this game kinda whitewashed the entire vibe that the Orre region carried in the first game, and it comes across as having much lower stakes this time around, even though the inverse is true purely from the story.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a good game, but it does sand down the edges of what made Colosseum so cool and such a change of pace to begin with. Maybe the third Orre game they never made would have been a happy middle ground between the two.
