JonMart Guy Fawkes/Bonfire Night headcanons for if they were in Daisy's safehouse at the time (because WHY NOT !!)

Jon's never been a fan of fireworks, but especially after The Unknowing the volume of noise they make is especially unwelcome.

Martin does not have particularly happy memories tied to the holiday, although most holidays just make him feel exceptionally lonely.

Martin is incredibly stressed in the days leading up to it and looks for ear defenders online for Jon, who keeps arguing that he Definitely Does Not Need Them, Martin.

On the night, Jon really appreciates the ear defenders despite his previous stubbornness.

The two pile blankets on the sofa and watch soap operas together like an old married couple (Jon complains that they're terrible the entire time).

Jon is not a fan of being touched when he's startled, Martin makes sure to offer verbal comfort instead in addition to multiple cups of tea.

Both eventually fall asleep on the sofa and wake up with various aches and pains from sleeping in The Wrong Position™.
