When you first realised you were pregnant, you were very nervous about telling him, mainly because you didn't know how he would react.

He joked about having children before, and that he wouldn't know how he'd be as a dad, but now that it was a reality...oh boy.

You'd probably hide it for a whole week, until you felt the intense need to tell him somehow. You were afraid that he would reject you.

Having the need of telling him, you'd probably prepare a nice, loving dinner for the two of you after he comes home from work so you can tell him.

In the middle of the dinner, he'd obviously notice that you're nervous, and wouldn't doubt about asking you.

When you told him that you were expecting a child...oh god, he'd be absolutely over the clouds!

He would definitely embrace you in the tightest of all hugs, and expect him to fill your face with tons of sweet kisses.

100% more overprotective of you. He already was protective of you, but now it's pretty intense. He goes EVERYWHERE with you, and if he can, he takes you everywhere with him.

He's too paranoid about you getting hurt or injured, so he's always making sure you're safe, somehow.

When it comes to his duties as Scarecrow, he'll be as careful as he can so no one finds out his identity, because that could risk your safety.

He'll obviously keep working in the fear toxin, but he won't be engaged himself in testing it in people, just because he doesn't want to: 1) leave you alone, and 2) like I said before, risk your well being and safety.

He likes his job, but now that you're carrying his child, he finds it absolutely tedious since he just wants to spend his time by your side.

When he's FINALLY free from work (or after he comes home), expect him to be next to you 24/7.

His head and hands are always on your stomach 🥺 And definitely sweet-talks to the baby about how much he loves him/her!

He always goes to the doctor check-ups with you. Literally. It doesn't matter what day and hour you have your appointment, if he needs to, he'll take a break from work only to go with you to the doctors appointment.

If you two go out on a walk, he'll be grabbing your hand the whole time.

You got cravings? Don't worry, he'll have it sorted out for you in no time. He'll have a fully prepared stash of all your favourites snacks just for you.

Also, with mood swings, this man is so absolutely patient and understanding, and if you need some time alone he'll give you the privacy you need.

Of course, helps you buy everything you need for the baby 💕 Bottles, diapers, cradles, clothing, everything!

Much like Gotham!Jonathan, he'll constantly tell you the names he has in mind for both boys and girls to see which one you like the most.

He's already got the softest spot for you, but now that you're carrying his child, he'll be more soft & gentler with you! And also even more lovestruck than he already was ❤

Some nights, he'll be sleepless thinking about his child. About how he/she will look like, what will he/she think about his/her dads work, etc. He's so over the moon about this, he can't wait to have his baby in his arms! 🥺

Will literally read articles in the Internet about how to be a good dad, how to take care of a child, how to make a child fall asleep quickly, etc.

Once you enter in labour, he'll be there by your side the whole time.

On the outside, he obviously keeps his cool...but on the inside? He feels like he's going to faint at any moment.

He'll be rubbing your back and your head, and will give you small kisses on your cheek so you can feel him next to you and are calmer.

Also, he's going to be there holding your hand. If you need, you can squeeze it as tightly as you want and can.

When he finally hears baby crying, his head will immediatly turn around in no time!

He would feel like he wants to cry, but he'll be still trying to keep it cool. Once the doctors place the baby in your chest, he in no time will be stroking his/her cheeks and staring at him/her proudly.

He loves holding his little baby crow in his arms, he just loves his child.

Speaking of which, if you need to make the baby fall asleep, don't worry, leave that job to him because he absolutely LOVES it.

Laser Tag Date | Gotham!Jonathan Crane x Fem!Reader

Out of all the places your boyfriend could've chosen to have a date with you, he decided to take you laser tagging.

You had a very slight idea about laser tag, but you weren't entirely familiarised with it, so you thought to yourself that maybe after all it would be a fun and original idea if you two had a laser tag date. So, of course, you agreed.

At the present moment, you were walking around the dark environment, your black clothes matching the whole place. You were being very slow and quiet as possible, and all your senses were activated. For you, even if it was a game, the adrenaline of the moment was thrilling to you.

You slightly jumped and quickly turned around when a familiar voice suddenly appeared from behind you. "What a pleasant surprise, (Y/N)." It was your boyfriend. You pointed your laser gun at him as you rolled your eyes to his teaseful comment. "I'm kicking some asses over here. Don't try to distract me, Crane." You boldly spat as you walked a few steps backwards, since he was walking towards you. "Oh, don't worry. I'm not going to distract you, I just think you look very pretty all dressed in black, especially with that competitive personality."

Your back finally hit the dark wall, so you were pressed against the wall and his tall body. "You're not going to shoot me, are you?" He said teasingly. His cockiness was a sign that his Jonathan Crane persona was fading away, welcoming his Scarecrow personality to completely take over him...and you loved it. You couldn't manage to say anything to him, due to his hypnotising personality and enchanting blue eyes.

Your recently tensed body was now relaxing, and you gently put down the laser gun that you were strongly holding against your chest in a self protective manner as he sweetly caressed your cheek with the back of his index finger. He leaned in and gently kissed your lips as you entirely immersed yourself in it, cupping his cheek and simply forgetting about the rest that surrounded you. As he kissed you while you were pushed against the corner, you petted his long, brunette hair. Suddenly felt something cold and hard pressed against your chest, and out of nowhere your protective vest began to loudly sound. He had taken advantage of the situation, and shot you.

"Pew pew." He broke apart the kiss, not taking too long for his lips to form into a smirk at the sight of your perplexed face. You opened your mouth to complain against it, but before you could say anything he shushed you by kissing your head. He turned around and began walking away, leaving you like a confused blushing mess.

Before he fully walked away, he turned around to look at you with a pretencious smile. "You know, love, for being a newbie you're good at this game. But I just couldn't let you win." He sticked his tongue out in a joking manner and continued walking away. You were speechless as you watched him walk out of the room as if nothing happened. You weren't able to even protest against it and you just awkwardly stood in the corner, processing the situation.

Eventually, a few seconds later, your lips began forming a big smile as you quietly giggled to yourself, and your cheeks intensified their reddish colour. Sometimes, he could be very cocky when his Scarecrow persona took over, but you certainly loved him that way, and you would never change him for someone else. He was your cocky little fear reaper.
