La cité d'Atlantis brillait sous les étoiles, ses lumières scintillantes se reflétant dans les eaux profondes qui l'entouraient. C'était le premier de l'an, et l'atmosphère était chargée d'excitation et d'espoir. Le docteur Annabeth O'Neill, se tenait sur le balcon de la salle de contrôle, observant la vue magnifique qui s'étendait devant elle. Elle était impatiente de célébrer cette nouvelle année avec son équipe, mais surtout avec le lieutenant-colonel John Sheppard, son partenaire tant sur le terrain que dans la vie.

« Prête pour la fête ? » demanda John, apparaissant derrière elle avec un sourire charmeur. Il portait une chemise décontractée et un pantalon cargo, mais il avait ce regard qui faisait fondre le cœur d'Annabeth, peu importe ce qu'il portait.

« Je suis prête, mais je ne suis pas sûre que le reste de l'équipe le soit, » répondit-elle en riant. « McKay est probablement en train de martyriser ce pauvre Zelenka. » « Zelenka a fui le labo. Il est en train de se changer. » dit John amusé. « Mais ne t'inquiète pas, je lui ai dit de se détendre pour une fois. C'est le Nouvel An, après tout. » Annabeth se tourna vers lui, ses yeux brillants d'affection. « Je suis contente que tu sois là avec moi. » « Je ne serais nulle part ailleurs, » répondit-il, son ton sérieux. Il s'approcha d'elle, prenant sa main dans la sienne. « Nous avons beaucoup à célébrer. » La fête avait lieu dans le mess, décoré de guirlandes lumineuses et de ballons flottants. Tous les membres de l'expédition étaient là, même Elizabeth qui discutait avec Carson devant la table des boissons. Près du balcon, SGA-1 étaient déjà rassemblés, riant et discutant autour d'une table remplie de mets délicieux préparés par les cuisiniers d'Atlantis. Teyla et Ronon étaient là, échangeant des histoires et des rires, tandis que McKay, fidèle à lui-même, était plongé dans une discussion animée sur les dernières découvertes scientifiques. « Annabeth ! John ! » appela Teyla en les voyant entrer. « Venez, nous avons besoin de vous pour le toast ! » John et Annabeth se dirigèrent vers la table, où tout le monde s'était rassemblé. McKay avait déjà une flûte de champagne à la main, prêt à faire un discours. « Je suppose que je dois faire un discours, » grogna McKay, mais un sourire se dessinait sur son visage. « Bien, alors… À une nouvelle année pleine de découvertes, d'aventures et, espérons-le, de moins de catastrophes intergalactiques ! » Tout le monde éclata de rire, levant leurs verres en l'honneur de la nouvelle année. Annabeth se tourna vers John, qui lui souriait avec tendresse. Elle leva son verre et murmura : « À nous. » « À nous, » répondit-il, et ils trinquèrent ensemble. La soirée se poursuivit avec des rires, des jeux et des histoires partagées. Annabeth se sentait comblée, entourée de ses amis et de l'homme qu'elle aimait. À minuit, alors que les feux d'artifice illuminaient le ciel d'Atlantis, John l'attira à l'écart, loin des regards curieux. « Annabeth, » commença-t-il, son regard sérieux. « Je sais que nous avons traversé beaucoup de choses ensemble, mais je veux que tu saches que je suis prêt à affronter tout ce qui vient, tant que tu es à mes côtés. » Elle sentit son cœur s'emballer. « Je me sens exactement de la même manière, John. Je ne peux pas imaginer ma vie sans toi. » Il s'approcha d'elle, leurs visages à quelques centimètres l'un de l'autre. « Alors, faisons de cette année la meilleure de toutes. » Avant qu'elle ne puisse répondre, il l'embrassa doucement, un baiser qui contenait toute la promesse d'un avenir ensemble. Les feux d'artifice explosaient au-dessus d'eux, illuminant la nuit et créant une toile de fond parfaite pour ce moment. Quand ils se séparèrent, Annabeth sourit, le cœur léger. « Je suis prête pour tout ce que cette année nous réserve. » « Moi aussi, » dit John, son sourire s'élargissant. « Et je suis sûr que nous allons vivre des aventures incroyables. » Main dans la main, ils retournèrent vers leurs amis, prêts à célébrer non seulement le début d'une nouvelle année, mais aussi le début d'un nouveau chapitre de leur vie ensemble sur Atlantis.

do you respond to comments? Yes, always (unless the person is reading through and commenting on multiple chapters in a fic. Then I usually only reply to the ones where I feel like I have something to say instead of all of them). The depth of my reply depends on my mental energy that day.

what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Technically Beast of Venery probably wins this (SGA fic where Sheppard has, to put it lightly, a very bad day)

what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Can I go with Harbored (the actual ending of the series that began with Beast of Venery)? In general, I love happy endings, so I write a lot of them. But maybe Harbored feels like a brighter dawn because of the previous darkness.

do you get hate on fics? No, not really. Thankfully! I get weird comment sometimes, like “why is everyone gay?” (which comment ignored the mostly-straight-reading bisexual relationship in that story), and “it’s so lame that you didn’t finish this story” (the story is clearly tagged and noted as abandoned, and I explained that the series it was part of only existed at all because of the comments and interest I’d gotten on the first installment, so when the comments dried up so did the series)

do you write smut? Yes, with varying levels of skill and interest

craziest crossover: Um, of the things that are posted… Conversations Beyond the Edge of the Galaxy, where Shigure Souma, Angel (the vampire), and Rogue (from X-Men) meet at a bar and talk.

have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of

have you ever had a fic translated? No, because that would be too awesome

have you ever co-written a fic before? No, though technically Eos and I are credited as coauthors on Aubade (SGA), because she did the art and I did the writing. (Her cover art is really just fantastically beautiful!)

all time favourite ship? Dude* I vibe with/other dude I vibe with/possibly a third dude I vibe with + story that writes them just right + I was exactly in the mood for this situation today = best ship (*dude is gender neutral)

what's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? So many…. But there's this one AU I have that I want to finish, it's a multiverse John/Todd/Rodney. Chunks of it are mostly written, but there are these OCs that I was planning to kill off and as I developed the one character I made her black and a lesbian so now I'm like "well crap I can't bury my gays, I want her to be happy with her girlfriend, even though her girlfriend also dying was a huge plot point!" So it's back to the drawing board while I decide if I can get away with inserting a time loop where I kill another character but he's not actually dead (because it's the time-traveled version of him that dies, right? But I can't decide how to make this not a paradox).

what are your writing strengths? I’m good at editing. I love writing absolute shit and then tearing it apart and fixing it. And I think I’m good at blocking? Scenes that don't describe the setting very well confuse me, so I work to make that clear when I'm writing.

what are your writing weaknesses? Describing characters. Since it's a fic I tend to assume that everyone know what everyone looks like, which doesn't fly as well with OCs... 😅

thoughts on dialogue in another language? If it’s dialogue that the reader is supposed to understand it should be written in the same language as the fic. (Or notated in a way that the reader can access a translation. There are cool skins for this on AO3.) If it’s in another language, I had better not need to know what it says, because I do not have time to look it up.

Do we want a Sheppard fic or two?

*in both cases archaeologist!Reader meets John on the Antarctic base for the first time. in the first version she goes to Atlantis with the reinforcements before the Siege and she stays there to research the Ancient database. in the second version, she sort of accidentally takes over Weir's job while Elizabeth gets to be the official negotiator/ambassador of the Stargate program. the SG-1 backstory is the same for both versions. she found some Goa'uld stuff on Earth and gets sucked into the sg word, becoming a host for a very very very short while when she is captured by Ba'al (this "character" might have evolved from Ba'al x Reader fic idea)...

**Reader's planet is like a black hole in terms of sucking in ships. something about the atmosphere and gravitational field or whatever... So Sheppard's team crashes with a jumper and seems like they can't leave. They find a 10000 year old civilisation where Wraith and Ancients (among some others who crash landed there) and they found a way to co-exist with the use of the Ancients healing abilities combined... But there's a catch, giving and taking life force repeatedly in this form creates a bond and it results in having all kinds of feelings for the other (this also might be inspired by that Wattpad fic 🤔), anyway, this has resulted in hybrids too and some are not even required to feed on life force anymore....

***(inspired by Trust Once Broken < --------- MUST! READ!!!!!) Reader is from a long separated section of Ancients. she is infected with a version of the virus that almost killed the Ancients but the team doesn't know and wake her up...

****that's a pretty specific one with a name too, therefore it's OC. Charlie is the daughter of General Jack O'Neill and Dr. Sam Carter from an alternate universe (there, Jack had no other kid before bc his first wife died in an accident). Charlie became a Tok'ra host very young bc she was sick (can't decide if it should be Jolinar or Selmak, it would make the Martouf/Lantash relationship extra awkward and weird and I just love it but I also love the idea that Charlie kinda reunites with Selmak in this 'new' universe through Jacob, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). Anyway, there's some trickery to make Charlie age up with a time dilation field situation. Her Tok'ra dies/gets a new host (I can't kill of Selmak 😭🤧) before she ends up in 'this' universe but has been in contact with the Sodan and has one of their devices. She goes to Atlantis bc Jack and Sam can't really handle the situation, again awkward af 🤭Part of the SGA storyline since s01e01

It would involve an OC who becomes close with John (mutual pining) but he's too busy going on his weekly suicide missions so it doesn't go far for them. Still friends tho. But when she finally goes on her first off world mission, she gets infected by an iratus bug? Angst ensues and then more bonding between the two!

okay so i’ve never actually completed a writers month before and because i’ve been binge watching stargate and that my only active muses are for the universe, that i would do this challenge using them and the prompt list that @timelordthirteen​ kindly curated (i apologise for tagging ! i just wanted to make sure i was giving credit xx).

It’s always hard to let go of something or someone. When they've been there for a long time and they've always been by your side, always said good morning and good night. Someone who has ingrained themselves into your life so properly that it's hard to say goodbye. It’s always hard not to think that they would walk through the front door and tell you that it was just a joke. It’s just very hard to move on.

Elenore's had a lot of experience with losing the ones she loves the most. Her father was killed when she rather young and her mother disappeared in the middle of the night, leaving the young baker to grow up too quickly. She has her ways to cope with the grief and the loss but she knew that a certain Major wasn’t doing too well.

She watched him step into the commissary the morning after the first week, bags under his eyes and his movements sluggish. She had a feeling that he hadn’t slept at all, too busy thinking up ways of trying to find Aiden and to bring him home safely. So, picking up the most colourful tray filled with Athosian fruits, Ellie was determined to cheer him up, even if she was still hurting on the inside herself. Taking a breath, Ellie then made her way over to Major Sheppard’s table.

“May I sit?” She asked him but he didn’t look up from his coffee cup. Ellie frowned, she hadn’t seen him this torn up before. She had done her crying, most of it into Teyla’s shoulder in the privacy of her quarters at night, but she had to put on a brave face for everyone - the crew didn’t really want to have snot and tears in their breakfast. “Major Sheppard?”

John Sheppard wouldn’t be lying when he said he hadn’t noticed her. She was light on her feet, which made her extremely quiet and even more so was she quick to serve everyone, so when she called his name, it took John a second (or two) to realise that she was talking to him. Looking up, grey eyes met blue and Ellie had to clear her throat slightly at the breath that caught at the back of her throat, clutching the large platter she held a little tighter. “Uh yeah, sure go ahead.” John gestured towards the empty set across from him.

Nodding her head more out of habit than anything, Ellie placed the tray onto the table and slid into the empty chair. “Uh, these are the closest looking fruits that the Athosians have.” John raised a brow and pursed his lips. “Teyla said this one taste like an apple.” Ellie reaches over and picks up a long oblong-shaped purple fruit. "I've been trying to work with the ingredients that are available here in Pegasus, but it is tempting to ask Colonel Caldwell for ten crates of fruit every time he comes for a visit."

“Looks more like an eggplant,” John replied. “I don’t know if I’d eat it like an apple.” Ellie snorted before it fell into silence, except for the murmur of people around them and the sound of the waves crashing against the city below.

“You know that none of this is your fault right?” Ellie mumbled - placing the fruit back on the tray, her hands tucked into her lap. John’s eyes snapped up and narrowed ever so slightly. He had heard from Teyla about the sleepless nights that Ellie's had over the past week. Not once has she spent the night alone, she always was turning up to her shift a little late and was trying to conceal it all behind the bare minimum of makeup that they were allowed to bring.

“You know that’s not true.” He mumbled back the grip on his mug tightened.

“Aiden made his choice.” Ellie was finally at the point where she knew that what Aiden did, that running away, away from the help that he could have received - away from her, wasn't her fault. Or John's. “He chose that he didn’t want our help.”

“I could have done more to stop him from leaving,” A hand moved from the mug and ran over his face, coming to rest his chin in the palm of his hand and scratch at his beard. “Should have been there to stop that Wraith." Ellie sucked in a slight breath, she should have been there to help as well - even if she was just the chef - she knew how to hold her own. "I just hope he’s okay.”

Silence once more between them and Ellie couldn't believe what she did next. Taking her hand away from her lap, she leaned forward and rested it against his arm. Swallowing, Ellie tried not to think about it too much. “I know Aiden Ford, he’s more than resilient.” Even with that Wraith venom running through him, Ellie knew that he could fend for himself and if he wanted them to help, they would find him again.

John heaved out a sigh and looked down at her hand, which was still resting against his arm. Ellie cleared her throat and started to pull away before John’s hand came and rested on top of hers. The brunette froze, eyes lingering on their hands. A deep breath in and a smile crossed her lips then. His hand was so much bigger than hers. “I hope you’re right.” John finally spoke up.

“I’m always right.” and with that the conversation turned back to discussing the strange looking fruit once more, their hands still lingering awfully close to each other.

Getting to meet Mr. Rogers.  I attended my then-local YMCA's after-school program and he happened to be in town.  He stayed at the Y and made use of the gym/pool.  I happened to be in the lobby at the same time he was and he noticed me.

He stopped to talk to me and I don't remember what I said to him except for thanking him for his show.  I found out later that he told the counselors in charge of me and my group that he enjoyed talking with me, that I was a "lovely and charming young lady," and that he asked them to tell me that he wished me well.

What I personally remember of the encounter was that I felt safe and good and happy while talking with him.  He truly was a great man.

WHAT IS YOUR OTP FOR YOUR CHARACTER? I don’t have an OTP for my OCs unless they’re on the closed-muses page, in which case you already know the OTPs I’ve got. I feel... Uncomfortable... Shipping those muses with anyone other than who they’re with at present.

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO WRITE WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING Anything but cheating/betrayal. Kills me inside... Can’t stand toxic relationships either, and no, I ain’t gonna write NSFW (fade to black- it makes me uncomfortable >_<).

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE? It depends on the muse, honestly?- Like... Some of my muses are immortal/have been alive for a LONG time (Crystal, Reap, Violet) so for them I prefer shipping that’s more how folks portray themselves (mature+ folks over those who act like children, will not ship with anyone under 25 where they’re concerned- it feels weird). I guess in general, a gap of four years or greater for more generalized muses feels wrong?- Like... If your muse is 22 and mine is 26, okay, but if yours is 17 and mine is 23... It just sends me all sorts of red flags. I don’t ship those still capable of being in the school curriculum with those out of it... Jeezums. <_<

OH okay I know. The Stargate Atlantis AU where Atlantis was a giant steampunk underwater city on earth and Elizabeth was a few hundred years old Vampire (as was Vala Mal’doran) and Jack O’Neil was the president of the Union States

In a world of Magic and Mad Science, John Sheppard and Elizabeth Weir try to navigate the perils of a cross-species relationship as they and the rest of the Atlantis Expedition try to unravel a mystery that could destroy two continents.

This is a completely AU setting for Stargate. The world is an alternate history version of our own world with a few radical changes. The first is that magic is real and works. The second is the presence of supernatural races that live, work, love and fight with normal humans. Most notable of these are the Werewolves and the Vampires. The third is that it is a steampunk setting - The technology of this world is at once far ahead of modern technology as we know it and yet far behind. There are airships and huge steam-powered mechs, lots of steel and brass and, of course, goggles. These three factors have changed history as we know it.

Atlantis is a city built by the Ancients. It lay at the bottom of the sea for centuries waiting to be rediscovered. Five months ago an Expedition came though the Gateway and brought the city back to the surface.

(Please note the warnings on the tags if you click through. There’s really explicit smut, violence and mentions of rape happening in the world - but no depictions of such)

God. I might be able to like this fic 7-8 years later (despite the ao3 tag it was for an earlier Big Bang and it was written right around when I was fired from a dream job. which ended up landing me in a MUCH better place? but it’s... I have complicated feelings about this fucking monster of a fic which ate up significant portions of my life.

Large chunks of the worldbuilding went into the DNA of the original novel that’s rotting on my hard drive.

X: A character you enjoy making suffer.

Oh no. UHm,......... See I am like really REALLY suffering averse ^_^;;; Just ask @jthorsten I’m horrible at being horrible. I think “wow.. That would BE SAD and then I don’t do it because it would be sad? but like it wouldn’t be sad for a REASON. so if I had a reason I’d do it but sad scenarios lacking context are like waaah?

Probably the character I have made to suffer the most was Aylaa, my SIth Pureblood OC. I killed off a bunch of her family and made her lose a baby and then be terrified it was her fault for a decade, but she’s Sith and in my headcanon they have a very specific concept of Face where you show no weakness ever to anyone period. fullstop. And that is happened at all is a weakness so she hid it from outside immediate family. And her hubby was all “well then it wasn’t worthy” and that hurt her/messed her up because she *loved* it and Sith don’t really do things half way so it was just horrible and she had to endure it alone.

I have some pretty unfun thing sin store for Wrathion actually >.> that’s... yeah I’m gonna enjoy it? He wont XD but it’s suffering for a reason and has context AND character growth :DAsk me more things!
