Pros: Dynamic plot, Interesting challenges, New monsters, Character development, Humor. Cons: Some predictability, Maybe too short for some readers. Overall recommend to anyone who loved the first book.

Okay but there is a fantastic new picture book about this sort of thing!

It’s about a young girl who loves books so much and never wants to share them and then a kindly librarian teaches her about library cards and how it lets you travel through and love so many books and stories and different worlds and the girl learns to share and it’s just really stinkin’ cute honestly.

It’s been a big hit with teachers and school librarians. They keep buying out all our stock!

Shout out to my favorite patron so far, a five-year-old who, when told by their mother that they had to return their books so other people could enjoy them, loudly announced to the whole library, "I don't want other people to enjoy them because I love them so much"

12. Do they have any sense of style? Regardless of the answer do they believe they have a sense of style?

john has a 'hip dad' sense of style, which means he wears funky patterned short sleeve button up shirts that he thinks are 'out there'. and usually some beige slacks. he definitely believes this is a cool and fresh sense of style.

22. Would they ever betray someone for money?

HM! probably not. mac's not rich by any means, but he's comfortable and tenured, and he's got a strong enough moral sense to be offended by bribes.

23. How would they want to die?

OUAGH. GOIN RIGHT FOR THE HEART, HUH. laz can only die once his demonic patron wills it, so ideally it'd be after going on a rampage through hell, carving up the demons that have made his life the most difficult, waking up his patron, and demanding the fucker kill him before he kills it.

38. What are their dreams like? Do they have any recurring dreams/nightmares?

in an ideal world, the full completed webcomic of underbelly would include multiple amvs set to songs from will wood's the normal album, done as a series of bizarre dreams sal has of her future self singing to her present self, warning about upcoming dangers, encouraging her to work with the friend as one autonomous being, and coming to peace with her gender identity. so. sal's are pretty out there i would say.

In general if it was gross or annoying, we talked about it to much, had magic, explicitly or frequently mentioned non Christian religions (other than stuff like native American or Mexican traditions because, yea) or made Christianity or Christians look bad, had explicit nudity or sex, had goth people, most things with anthropomorphic animals/talking animals, had even the slightest indication of LGBT, drag, or strong female characters (literally), referenced hell or devil even once, had any kind of "liberal" ideology other than being eco friendly, anything anime or anime esq or that my parents just didn't enjoy watching was a no.

However, excessive violence, swearing, drug and alcohol use, and other stuff like that was okay. And if the sex scenes were skippable it was also okay.

Some of the only exceptions were generator rex (the main character spoke Spanish occasionally and my dad was scared of my mom and wouldn't ban it) Astro boy (i was obsessed with it) shrek (mom loves the movies)
