#okay random story time i don't know why im narrating this or how i even stumbled upon this memory rn#but i generally do sad vents in the tags and for a change this is a funny one#so back in highschool (i say highschool but i mean junior college) i used to visit this park near my house a lot#i was an sg kid back then and the thing about parks there is that they're kinda beach-parks and they have the best cycling/running tracks#they're also really massive parks so i used to go often. sometimes bicycling. other times walking. yeah. the park was like my sanctuary#anyway. there are quite a few bike rental areas in the park and there was a cute lil shop next to this one particular rental place#and they sold like biscuits and water and icecreams and stuff and i went there a lot#and on one particular day i went there and there was this guy around my age part timing at that shop#now again this might be culture specific bc i dont see it in india but part timing in uni/pre-uni is pretty common is sg#a lot of shops and restaurants employ teenagers to twenty something ppl for part time jobs... anyway im just adding context#point is that i had walked to the park with my mum that day and she told me to go buy a couple icecreams so i went to the shop#and i saw this guy around my age and like. not to be a simp but this dude was so pretty?#like he saw someone had come to the counter so he looked up and shot a smile and i thought i got slapped by sunlight#i could spend the next several lines going on about his pretty tan skin and his glowing raven eyes but this is pathetic enough so ill stop#anyway he saw me and smiled really wide (customer service smile- i thought to myself) and i smiled back and asked for icecreams or whatever#and then this guy started getting chatty right. so he was all 'you come here (to the park) often right? ive seen you with your bike a lot'#see now. the problem with me is that i always think im bothering people. this poor dude was attempting to make conversation#and i was replying with one word answers#and i wasn't even realizing that he didnt want that. bc he kept asking more questions and i. kept. shutting them down.#then when he gave me the icecream he was all 'are you here alone? icecream alone is no fun... i could keep you company if you want..?'#which. he was being really cute about right. but because im so fucking dense i was all 'oh no i came with my mom actually'#and he went 'aw man' in this really cute but faux sad way which i didnt understand at the time and i left and then#after three full fucking days. i realized this man was tryna hit on me?#and then i went to the park like a week later and he was gone. poof. i even thought of asking the uncle in charge of that place#then i got too embarrassed and chickened out#yeah so turns out my neurodivergence neutralizes any sort of rizz that comes my way#i could've been chilling with a cute boyf rn but no😩 this is my destiny#megumi in the tags

i think comics pavitr is so funny. imagine getting paid to say bad things about your alter ego all day & then going "a therapist would probably have a lot to say about this. good thing i cant afford one!"
#i love the emphasis pav puts on the fact that in every way this is a shitty job#like it doesnt pay well he takes videos of himself crashing into walls#he has to look at nasty comments about himself all day#he doesnt even ever bring up the fact he's suspicious of giricorp while hes working there#he's just like yeah this is a bad idea. but im poor so <3#spiderman india#pavitr prabhakar

Growing up is weird
#silver rambles#vent#that post about the ‘how you knew someone else came from money’ is just. sticking with me#mostly cause as a kid I didn’t realize how bad off we were#like. I didn’t realize we got groceries from the food bank run by the church my dad worked at until I was a teen#it just. affected me subtly I guess#being worried about a $2 difference in shoes when I needed new ones because I liked the more expensive ones#and my mom having to convince me that it was fine#it still sticks with me#it’s really hard sometimes to not think about cost if my dad and I go get lunch or something#I’ve never been to another country#meanwhile my friends would go to Rome and Sweden and India and Greece and Mexico for their 12 year old trips#I stayed in the same state for the one with my mom and only went a state over for the one with my dad#but like#yeah. I always sorta knew#I just. couldn’t have told you that I knew#all the little things you didn’t know growing up#I didn’t know about the groceries thing until yeah. I was…16-17 I think#and now we’re much better off and I have my own job (technically two) but like…#hhh.#why is my brain fixating on this? idk#sorry#needed the thoughts out

hi i saw your answer for the previous reblog i did and i wanted to say,yes you’re art will still be on here and on this platform, but you won’t. and that makes me sad to hear or see since you’re such a positive influence and just a nice person to see on line. i would ofcourse miss you’re artwork but you’re presence is more important honestly and i would hate to see you leave but again i know it’s your decision and do what is best for you,i just don’t wish to see you leave or maybe do updates everynow and then,i hate to see you delete you’re blog since again i truly enjoy seeing you post and knowing you’re around. but again, please do what’s best for you!
Thank you for the kind words!! <3 I'm a little flustered, because even with thousands of followers it sometimes feels like im blogging to a quiet room these days - the level of interaction and goofy inside jokes and comments and general friend antics has decreased significantly in the past decade. I think some of this is just us getting older, but tumblr certainly hasnt helped with getting rid of the comments for YEARS and continuously screwing with the tag system. I'm happy to be a postive and entertaining influence though ^_^ (i try to keep all my salty negativity to the messages LOL)
#Honestly my biggest fear lately is the str*ke stuff#If anyone is wondering why i am carefully avoiding anything about potential un*ons or str*kes within my own sphere of this industry#Thats why :/#I am unemployed and to be frank i am terrified because i do NOT have the talent/pull that the big name artists do to demand respect#I can be replaced so so easily and they are already doing it more and more with outsource#Which is why i am all the more proud of the huge celebrities and stars and big name artists who are standing up#and fighting for the rest of us whose jobs would simply be sent to mexico or india if we stopped production#Like if a company is going to hire someone are they going to hire me#Or someone who is less of a troublemaker

London: Week 1
#far and away the trippiest part of this week#was when I was in the correspondence records for the british east india company in the late 1760s#looking for a recommendation for a particular factor from someone i’m focusing on for the britian section of this new project#and I accidentally stumbled upon a letter recommending that factor#from david hume#the david hume#signature and all#I truly have the weirdest (best) job ever#not the stones#me stuff#london#(the cat is not mine. but he is a very nice feature of where I’m staying. his name is tiggy and he’s super sweet)#((normally I would have some cool food pics. but my diet this week has been 90% tea. and nothing. so there’s that.))

personally, i find it very freeing and fun to talk to americans. i'm south asian and socializing involves a sort of elaborate verbal dance. lots of nonverbal cues to be deciphered and responded to - i don't understand most of it most of the time, which understandably causes people to take offense. i like how americans are much more likely to just tell you what's on their mind, what they've been doing, what they've been struggling with, etc. it makes social interaction into something that can genuinely feel good instead of just draining my overburdened, overstimulated social battery.
This is the first time someone's pointed something out about the way we behave I didn't even realise and found myself realising they are entirely right
#culture is fascinating but being a cultural misfit all your life is kinda sucky ngl :)#at my corporate job - in india ofc - i regularly got told off for using 'strong language'#but my American counterparts in headquarters spoke the exact same way and their American bosses did too#it was so good working with them#office politics is so much worse here idk

honestly i don't agree with terf ideology but to call it colonialist is interesting imo.
it’s always so fucking funny to me when terfs are like “how can you say trans women and women are the same thing! being born as a man makes you different!” because like. yes. trans women and cis women are different. so are black women and white women. and straight women and queer woman. and women from different countries and different socioeconomic statuses. there’s diversity in the experience of womanhood? what a wild concept
#like i can only speak as an indian (like parents from india)#like i've met indians who thought their kids were so westernized because they don't hate trans people#(specifically my mother and her friends#both sides see a thing they don't like. they want to associate it with other things they don't like. but that's just...not how it works.#in a lot of non european languages the terms for gender and sex just aren't separate.#my parents are tamilian so that's the example i know but i heard arabic is a similar way#pen means woman and female. aan means man and male. the difference between the two isn't there in those languages.#if you thought language surrounding trans people was a mess in english wait till you're me#18 and not a native tamil speaker#trying to explain to your tamilian grandmother that despite the fact this person looks like a dude with makeup she's still a woman#like what i'm saying directly translated is “yes she's a man biologically but she's also a woman." which just#doesn't have the social context of english where woman is used for social things and female for biological/legal#like it's just incomprehensible to her because of the way tamil works#racism sexism homophobia and transphobia are all real#connected issues but that doesn't mean that everyone's either all or nothing#racist people can be lgbt-friendly#sexist people can be race conscious#idk why there's a need to paint terfs as a particularly racist group when that's ostensibly not true#it's not like terf ideology is always going to be a white woman who's strong mouthed.#sometimes it's an indian woman keeping her mouth shut abt the new hire for fear of losing her job and social life#idk is she colonialist now? because her language makes this whole idea almost incomprehensible to her?

Let’s contribute our efforts to find the perfect fit for the company from the job seekers database.
In today’s competitive job market, recruiters and hiring managers need a well-structured job search database. Indeed, a robust database enhances the recruitment process by improving operations, hiring quality, and productivity. Consequently, centralizing candidate data and leveraging modern technologies enable organizations to discover, attract, and retain top talent more effectively.
Optimizing database management is crucial in a landscape where talent acquisition drives success. Specifically, a well-maintained database not only enhances the candidate experience but also reduces time-to-hire across the recruitment cycle. Thus, staying ahead in the talent competition requires applying essential tactics to maximize job seekers’ data efficiency.
Here, we outline critical methods and best practices to help recruiters enhance their job seekers database. From centralized administration and advanced search techniques to artificial intelligence and data security, these strategies aim to boost recruiting results and organizational performance.
