Hi! Here's some stuff about a celebrity-themed AU I've been formulating in my head since last year. I'll probs post more later when I'm less sleep deprived :')) I do have major ideas though, so hope you like 'em!

☆ passione is a modelling agency/magazine ran entirely by diavolo. it's one of the most famous companies in the world, and also one of the more relaxed ones. technically diavolo's twin brother doppio and doppio's now wife donatella helped form it, but they all agreed it'd be easier for diavolo to head it. doppio works as a photographer there, while donatella is a model.

☆ the joestars are essentially the hilton family of this au. most people know their names because they're famous in their own fields outside of the family. for instance, jonathan is an archeologist, dio (who is now a biological joestar) is a lawyer/agent/manager, jotaro is a marine biologist with several documentaries under his belt, and so on.

☆ if the joestars are the hiltons, then the part 8 higashikatas are the kardashians. they have their own reality TV show chronicling their lives, known by all as keeping up with the higashikatas. some major specials were jobin and mitsuba's wedding, the twins' (rina and joshu) sweet sixteens and later daiya's, kaato being released from prison, and hato's explosive break-up with tamaki damo.

☆ elizabeth is still married to george ii/jorge joestar, and she has her own fashion house known as lisa lisa. working under her are caesar zeppeli and suzi q, who both have their own ideas on which direction the brand's image should go. their rival is kars and the other pillar men's own label. (unnamed as of right now)

☆ diego is jonathan and dio's younger stepbrother through his mother marrying their father when diego was a kid. diego had always been closer with jonathan, while he always had a tense relationship with dio. as an adult, diego is a professional driver and looks after his nephews; dio's own sons.

☆ jolyne has an underground band with ermes and f.f. called the stone frees! they perform at a grungy venue known as green dolphin, named for its famous neon green dolphin sign. outside of performing, they're usually seen hanging out in ermes' sister gloria's restaurant. they tend to give it free publicity where they can.

jolyne also goes by cujoh in an attempt to distance herself from her father, and to prevent herself from being accused of nepotism.

☆ johnny was a former movie star who quit performing after a major accident rendered him unable to walk. his father hired a physical therapist for him named gyro zeppeli, and barred him from any other visitors out of a sense of shame. however, johnny's older brother nicholas tends to allow guests to see him anyway when their father's away. johnny also keeps in contact with rina higashikata, but that's a secret!

☆ josuke (no relation to the part 8 higashikatas) is an aspiring hairdresser/celebrity stylist, and he often asks to practice on other people. he religiously reads the cinderella magazine for tips and ideas on what to do next and his idol is aya tsuji, who he dreams of working alongside someday.

☆ gappy is yoshikage and kei's younger brother. he's not technically a celebrity, but he often shows up on kuwth due to being childhood friends with joshu and rina. people often joke about him being their missing triplet, though he always denies it. he does see the higashikatas as a second family, however.

☆ giorno is a model under passione, which he joined beneath his father's nose at both diego and his best friend perla's suggestion. when dio found out, he demanded for giorno to allow him to be his agent due to his superior connection. refusing, giorno instead left to live with diego whilst bruno bucciarati became his agent instead. the two people who oversaw giorno's casting were man x (will be referred to as michel) and polpo.

☆ after giorno left, dio began to acknowledge his other three sons; donatello, ungalo, and rikiel. he began with taking custody of donatello, and pushed him into joining a modelling agency as well. he manufactured a rivalry between donatello and giorno, though giorno's more interested in saving all his brothers from their father's influence than anything.

☆ jodio and dragona are both popular on social media. dragona enjoys posting ootds, makeup tutorials, and storytimes, whilst jodio does (awful) skateboarding tricks and skits. sometimes he'll join dragona's storytimes and makeup tutorials, or they'll both do various challenges and skits together.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: I like to think he'd be good friends with Mitsuba. She could give him dating tips, and they'd go shopping together. They'd talk about Jobin a lot, with Yotsuyu sharing things that happened when he was in college.

My unpopular opinion about this character: I headcanon him as intersex.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: He didn't really interact with Jobin aside from in that one flashback, which is, to my opinion, a bit sad. Also, I'd loved to see him interact with Wu Tomoki.

JJL chapter 23: Paper Moon Deception – part 1

And that’s why Tsurugi, the current oldest son of Higashikata in his generation is undergoing it. However, is it true that this tradition has been carried out since the generations of Tsurugi’s forefathers?

We never see the older generations of Higashikata such as Norisuke II and III, but we did see the childhoods of Tsurugi’s grandfather and father.

Norisuke IV

The year was 1963 when little Norisuke IV was 11 years old (being 59 years old in 2011, he was born in 1952).

He didn’t look like a boy who is crossdressing, at the same time, Norisuke IV’s mother, Tomoko did equivalent exchange to cure him and sacrificed herself.

Jobin

The year was 1991 when little Jobin was around 12 years old (being 32 years old in 2011 and born in 1979), the timeline was mentioned by Mitsuba, and Joshu (who was born in 1992) was still in the oven.

JJL chapter 64: Mother and Child

As with Jobin, this is not strong enough as an argumentation as he already turned 12 and as Tsurugi had said that the crossdressing practice ended when the heir turned 12. However, Jobin still had the curse (rock illness) and Caato had to do equivalent exchange to cure him, and sacrificed the bully boy.

By looking at Norisuke IV’s flashback, this makes me doubt the truth of this crossdressing tradition. Has it really happened for generations? Even though Jobin’s flashback can't really prove it, both of the flashbacks (of Norisuke IV and Jobin’s childhood) show that this crossdressing tradition brings nothing in warding off the curse. What really matter is the act of equivalent exchange and sacrifice that have been done since long time ago.

If so, where did this crossdressing practice come from? This is just pure speculation, but my guess is that this practice was actually made up by Jobin. What the hell you’re talking about? How is that possible? This is somewhat related to Mitsuba who had not been aware of the equivalent exchange and Locacaca’s existence until the incident with Wu Tomoki happened.

JJL chapter 79: Doctor Wu and Awaking III Leaves – part 1

This could be Jobin’s decision to intentionally not to tell Mitsuba about it, seeing what happened to his mother (and grandmother) when they knew those facts (the rock illness and equivalent exchange) and what they have done, his family (parents) became falling apart because of that. As considerate individual, Norisuke IV might respect that decision.

However, the rock illness is a time bomb that would come to Tsurugi sooner or later, so Jobin could not completely hide this fact from Mitsuba. It is possible that he made up this crossdressing tradition as a distraction to her while he tried to find alternative methods to cure Tsurugi without doing the exchange and sacrifice anyone. Tsurugi was 9 years old in the beginning of JoJolion and the illness started to kick in once he turned 10.

Not saying that this speculation is highly accurate, Jobin might have undergone the practice himself before he turned 12 (perhaps that's why he was bullied in the past). But the existence of this practice still sounds fishy to me and it's been proven that little Norisuke IV didn't undergo it. This also does not change the fact that this practice does not effective at all in warding off the illness. Little Norisuke IV, little Jobin and now little Tsurugi, all of them still succumbed to this rock illness, the equivalent exchange is the only effective way to cure them so far. It seems like this practice only made them the bully victims in their childhood. So why are they still doing this useless crossdressing practice?

In the end, this crossdressing tradition led to four questions from me (don’t cry, Mista!):

Since when has this practice really begun?

Who initiated this practice?

Why did not Norisuke IV undergo this practice?

Why is this practice really useless?

JoJolion: How does Joshu-Yasuho-Tooru work?

The X-Files theme intensifies...

Many readers doubt Tooru's status as a major villain, their main complaint was that he appeared too late in the story and the lack of foreshadowing about his existence. However, what if his existence had been hinted from the beginning of the story? As we all know that he is:

After that we do see that Tooru and Yasuho have memories in the past as lovers:

Although some readers suspect that those memories are just fabrication made by Tooru, that he put a false memory on Yasuho as the Qing dynasty’s hairclip did in chapter 71.

Then I remembered that at the beginning of JoJolion, in Yasuho's first debut, she mentioned that she had kissed someone. This made me wonder that, was the person Yasuho kissed was Tooru?

However, the man's appearance looked more like Joshu.

And the problem is that Yasuho doesn't like Joshu, then how did they ever kiss?

Joshu himself admitted that he had kissed Yasuho. I thought that maybe Joshu was just making it up at the time. The odd thing about their relationship is: Yasuho never showed that she liked Joshu or at least had a romantic memory with him. The closest relationship between Yasuho and Joshu that have ever hinted is that they were childhood friends.

Perhaps they were once close, Norisuke IV and Jobin themselves even thought that Yasuho was Joshu's girlfriend.

And Yasuho's relationship with the Higashikata family seems pretty good as they welcomed her (Yasuho surely knows them well enough if she knows what Daiya likes).

But Yasuho has absolutely no romantic memories of Joshu or a reaction that suggest it, unlike when she was with Tooru.

Yasuho never blushed like that when she was with Joshu, the closest thing was during the 「Paper Moon King」 arc aka Tsurugi’s prank:

But that happened when Yasuho came under the deception of the PMK, where she couldn't recognize anyone because everyone's faces were the same. She thought that Joshu at that time was Josuke, then misunderstandings ensued.

Even so, I still think that the person Yasuho meant when they had kissed (back in chapter 1) was Joshu, not Tooru. How did they ever kiss even though she never liked Joshu? This makes me uneasy but I think it was possible that Yasuho was forced, or at least been reluctant to do so.

This was implied in her first debut in chapter 1, she was hiding from the man she has ever kissed once, Joshu. She wanted Joshu to go somewhere else, far away from her spot.

It’s still weird though, because as long as Yasuho met Joshu again after that incident, she no longer had any reaction to him (either embarrassed, reluctance or hostility).

Though there was a moment when Yasuho rejected Joshu's calls several times, showing that she was reluctant to face him (something easy enough for me to sympathize).

Numerous questions popped into my head:

When and where did the kissing take place?

Why would Yasuho be willing to kiss Joshu? Was there an ulterior motive from her or was she purely forced? (she was quite close to the Higashikata family)

Has she ever really liked Joshu in the past? (of course I can understand that she doesn't like him anymore :P)

How can Norisuke IV and Jobin think that Yasuho is Joshu's girlfriend? Did they kiss at Joshu's house (and they happened to watch them)? Or does Joshu often talk about Yasuho to them and claims that he is dating her? (I believe more in the later)

But, my biggest questions are:

Does Joshu know that Yasuho was dating Tooru during high school?

Why doesn't Yasuho have any reaction to Joshu but react to the memories she had with Tooru?

Yasuho was playing to Joshu's house quite often as a kid to the point that she knows what his younger sister Daiya likes,but it seems that she only recently became acquainted with Mitsuba.

It makes sense because Mitsuba only joined the Higashikata family through marriage since around ten years ago… which meant that Yasuho might have rarely been in contact with the family during those ten years.

So it might have also been possible if the news that Yasuho was dating Tooru did not reach Joshu. I'm sure that Yasuho just has been in contact with Joshu again because they went to the same university, which means that Yasuho has (probably) broken up with Tooru, so it didn't matter anymore for Joshu to know that Yasuho was dating Tooru.

I hope we will back to the Higashikata’s house soon to see what will happen between Joshu, Yasuho, and Tooru, the continuation of chapter 98 which will answer about what is happening to them and also how the flashforward scene in chapter 83 can happen.

This post is indeed confusing, but at least I’m not roasting the hypes for a grannie who hasn't done anything at all during this climax event.

And f*ck Joshu and Tooru! Leave Yasuho alone! Only Josuke deserves her.
