Hmm. I hope that this is okay. But GioTrish and comforting Giorno after he has a nightmare of turning into Diavolo? I hope that this follows the rules!

Giorno is always afraid that one day he’ll reach a point of no return. That he’ll kill too many people, that he’ll pushed his soldatos too far, that there’ll be too much blood on his hands. Some nights he dreams of Mista, Fugo, Polnareff and Trish lifeless on the ground, in a pool of their blood and he‘ll look down at his hands stained in red, and he’ll hear Diavolo’s voice in his ear, “You’re no different from me Giorno Giovanna.”

Most nights he can power through it. He’ll wake up, breathing heavily, then turn around to hold Trish closer against him, hand on her heart to assure himself that they’re safe and alive.

But there are some nights where the nightmares are too strong. He’ll wake up screaming, or crying, or both, and it startles Trish awake. He wonders when she’ll get tired and leave him, but she never does. She’s always there through every frightening vision in his head.

“Right here,” she would say, laying Giorno’s head against her chest, so he can hear the constant thrum of her heart. Giorno would wrap his arms around her waist as she sits in his lap and runs careful fingers through his hair. “We’re all right here for you, Giogio. Everyone is alive and safe.”

“Where are they?”

“Fugo is only three doors down. We can call him and he’ll be here in a second. Polnareff is in the terrarium on your desk. We can have Fugo get him. Mista is at his sister’s for the weekend. He’s only one call away.” Trish pulls away so he can look Giorno in the eyes, “Whatever you dreamed is not real, okay?”

“But what if-”

“The only thing that’s real is what you see right now. I’m real, Giorno. And I’m not going anywhere.”
